Yes. Unfortunately, the library here sort of fails at life. They don't have a whole lot of good books. The little kiddie section is almost bigger than the teen and adult sections put together. o.O Not fun.

See... I'm really weird with library books... well. First of all I never return them.. but I hate reading stuff other people touch! Lol. I'm special, I know, but like.. grosses me out, and there is always crusty stuff on the pages. And I hate giving the library their book back. I want it!

crystal_raye I do and I love it. You can read a book first to see if you will like it or not before running the risk of spending lots of money on something you won't enjoy. I completely agree! Also, I don't think my parents would allow me to but all the books I've read. xd

That's what I use it for! Er... partly. I more use the library for books I'll never want to buy... like some research books for school (unless they're REALLY interesting research books) and such things like that. But my library is great; I'm friends with all the librarians (I'm a volunteer there), and I have good relationships with people in the library too! So overall... library experiences for me=good. sweatdrop

I live in the library. Sometimes when I get ready to leave, I ask the librarian to print out a copy of all the books I have out so I know if one or more have to be returned soon. I just wander around until I find something that seems interesting to me.

For me it's kind of a "duh" question. I work in a library. It would be silly not to take advantage of being able to see what's on the "tag & label" shelves. I put little notes on things saying "give it to me when it's ready to be checked out!"

Yes I do..I only ever read books once so it would be silly for me to spend more money on buying books. It only costs 60p to order a book in the library too.

Yes Ma'am I sure do!! xD (Besides the bookstore it's my mom and I's favorite place..oh and paperbackswap.com)
Sometimes I come out of there with 10-20 books at my public library. Usually whenever I have a book in mind I use the city's Library website and order it to be picked up at whatever library I chose(my local one of course. It's just about 10 minutes away).
Sometimes though I can't handle the librarians attitudes at my local library and stay away sticking to the books I really want to finish for awhile. sweatdrop
Also my mom and I use paperbackswap if there's a book we can't find a the library database. 3nodding

I borrow because I'm poor. If I like the book, I'll eventually buy it or wait until the series is complete and get the entire set for cheaper. My entire county system is online, so I look for books I want and request them to be shipped to my library which is on my way to work. I can also request books before they are released (like the last Twilight book or the latest manga volume) and get on a waiting list so I can be sure to get it ASAP. It also helps for my research. I even go to the college library just to have a quiet place to research because I get too distracted at home.

Before I moved house I used to go to the library all the time.. but the place I live in is much more remote. The library opens at something crazy, like 9am until noon xD Which is slightly inconvenient seeing as I work until 10pm most nights and emerge from my duvet as the sun sets xD

Libraries are great, for research or leisure. I think libraries are one of the best services the government provides us with. And besides their obvious literary utility, they are also a quiet place to relax or study. My library also rents movies (including recent ones that have just come out on DVD) free of charge, and has a wide selection of magazines that can be read so long as you don't take them out of the library.
Although, I prefer to buy long books, so I don't have to worry about checking them out again and again. Moby d**k, for example, would not be something I'd check out of the library.

I would, but I have so many books at home that I haven't read yet that I'd like to read before anything else. My house is practically a library in itself.
