I prefer a mixture of both. Yaoi cant just be random sechs and shonen-ai has to have some passion. o-o

Both .
My yaoi manga should be 18+ (Because manga usually have much more of a plot than anime does)
And my yaoi anime can be both . I like sensitive pornograph and on the other hand I like Sukisyo too . I think that when it comes to anime I like shounen ai series the most because there's more humor/plot , I wouldn't mind at all if series like Gankuen Heaven and Sukisyo had ended with a yaoi scene (She wishes) . sweatdrop

Sheltigrrl Shounen-ai. xD I mean, the occasional random SEX of yaoi is okay once in a while, but for something I'm gonna read constantly, it should have a lot of fluff and a lot of cute and a lot of funny. However, my favourites have both shounen-ai and yaoi. There's a reason I say BL more than the other terms. xD;;; I'm the same way. I like the fluff with a little random sex

I think I like it when there's hot yaoi action after a really sweet shounen ai moment...but it's all good if there isn't a moment before the hot yaoi action. 3nodding

I definately like them both together. I like a good plotline and character development, and a hot sex scene is like the icing on the cake.
That's why Fake is my favorite. It's a good story that could stand by itself, and it builds up so the sex is at the very end. It's great. heart

luscious_pain well, i love to say that i love yaoi when in fact i'm more of a shonen-ai chick. i think it's because yaoi is such a fun word to say! so, which are you more passionate about, the hot male on male action of yaoi? or the sweet cutesy omgosh-ness of shonen-ai? I like both...because it's really hard to choose between hot male on male action and the sweet cutesy omgosh-ness
