SSBrosM Personal info like, home, address and other junk? Anything they might use to harass her. Her real name (first, or first and last), any possible ideas of what future children might be called (unless she wants "poor wittle emma died on X date! Let's mourn" sigs in place for months), or any information that might be misconstrued in such a way as to degrade her for her choice, harass her or try to "guilt" her for being her own person and making her own decisions. Quote: Oi. I seriously hope there were punishments handed out to lifers who did this. I really can't stand for this kind of s**t. Nope. Then again I don't think Pirate ever reported them. She didn't particularly care. She made her choice and nothing would deter her. Quote: ... why would you name your baby if you are going to kill it? or did those pro-lifers name it? She believes in reincarnation. She believed that her fetus at that time had a soul or was intented to recieve a soul if the soul was not yet present, and that in aborting it she was sending it to a better, more capable couple to be born. She named him Keeran, because it is her sincere religious belief that he would be reborn at another time and that the entity that was or would be her child would, in fact, still be born.

If I ever have an abortion, I will name it Humbert simply because I've always wanted offspring with that name, but I don't have the heart to force a child to go through primary school with a name like "Humbert."
I think that's one of the many great things about abortions. You get to name them names that you love but wouldn't name a child who would actually have to deal with the consequences of having a name like that.

[Ernie] SSBrosM ... why would you name your baby if you are going to kill it? or did those pro-lifers name it? APP named her fetus because it was her way of coping with her abortion. She put a ticker in her sig that said, "__ days until Keeran is aborted" (or something like that). Ah. I myself would probably get attatched to it if i gave it a name. Just like puppies or kittens. sweatdrop edit: You mean like "Apple"? (sorry for using that example, but i've heard worse.)

SSBrosM Ah. I myself would probably get attatched to it if i gave it a name. Just like puppies or kittens. sweatdrop My mother said something similar when I was very young (that whenever something was named, she automatically had more compassion for it). For the next year or so, I named everything she was about to eat. "That carrot's name is Clarence!" My mom hates me sad My apologies for all my attempts to run this topic off. It's late and I'm working on a drawing and in a REALLY silly mood... but it's a bad silly... the kinda silly where I might say something awfully unsensitive that I will regret in the morning.

If it helps someone deal with the situation, I'm all for it.
@Setar - no, nothing happened to them. Nethie made a post about a little girl who died from neglect, yet none of the 'lifers' said anything about it besides "oh well". They'd 'mourn' the death of an unwanted fetus, but they wouldn't do anything for a born child who died a horrible death.
And yeah, giving out personal information like a name (if October chose to name it) would be a bad idea, at least here where people can see. It's probably going to make them say things anyway. However, you should know that we're here to defend you and offer support :nod3:

I'm thinking of you. Good Luck. Thanks. I am actually not very comfortable with the idea at all. I will probably need to be given some medication that will make me drowsy.

October Cross Miss. Me Oh thats horrid...I mean that you have to have it while your scared of surgery... Try to worry to much. That will just make things worse.
I'm thinking of you. Good Luck. Thanks. I am actually not very comfortable with the idea at all. I will probably need to be given some medication that will make me drowsy. Prior to discovering my cervix wouldn't dilate enough for the vacuum, I started the process of surgical abortion. They gave me three options: Take Valium and ibuprofen, take nothing, or being put under completely. I went for the valium because the nurse told it would take my mind off of everything and turn it into something almost pleasant. I didn't really believe that it would work THAT well... Well, I took the valium, and a half hour later I was so complacent they could have poked me with flaming sticks and beat me over the head for all I cared. It made the experience very tolerable. Also, there will probably be a nurse in the operating room who's only job is to talk to you during the procedure (my nurse asked me about my hobbies and what my favorite season was, taking special care to not bring up anything that could be sensitive like parents or my boyfriend). You may be scared now, but just keep in mind that there will be plenty of friendly people (and drugs! xP ) to help you through the procedure.

I have never had valium, although vikoden (sp?!) makes me very sick. I will be glad to have people there with me. I hope the nurse will hold my hand. Yes. I am a big baby. She will be there to "FREAKING HOLD MY HAND LADY"
