Amyla had to agree. At least she did know that Kayce was capable of manners. "Yes, I think the offering may have affected her. I offered a stone carving of a Celtic cat gargoyle. Actually, my infant son dropped it in, and I couldn't get it out," she said, wrinkling up her nose at the memory. "Shy has to have something in mind if he specifically required a live offering. He always seems to be several steps ahead, which is a good thing in many rsepects," she added, not mentioning that she strongly suspected that Shy knew much more than he was telling.
Pirates? Swords? The two words mentioned in combination sparked Kayce's interest. She knew how to use swords. "I like that idea," she agreed instantly.

"Wanna go get the swords?" Nereida asked. "They all wash up near the concrete land supporter. I'll show you!" Without even taking a breath, she ducked underwater and swam past Kayce and Iris. Quickly, it became apparent that she could breathe underwater.
Silverah panicked momentarily as she saw Nereida vanish, but relaxed when she saw the fae resurface further in. "Here they come now," she announced. "I'll see if I can get Nereida's attention long enough for you to meet her.

Kasumoto waved his pale skinned hands at Amyla. " I was not intent on ruining your afternoon.. besides.. I am kind of... wird." he admitted, scraching a alightly pointed ear. He ran his fingers along his jar before speaking again. " My gift to the jar was not exactly by choice.. a large angry queen honebee flew into mine." he said, holding his jar up for all to see.

"Don't worry about it if you can't get her attention. They have to get tired and come close at some point," Amyla chuckled, watching the fae for a moment. She looked up at the man, squinting a bit in the sunlight. Where did she put her sunglasses? "Weird, huh? You think you're weird? You better meet the rest of my family sometime. Then you'll see weird," she chuckled, eyeing his jar with much curiosity. Honeybee? Well, that was certainly an interesting choice of offerings, though no more strange than a crane egg, she supposed.
Kayce didn't have time to agree before the other fae swam off, and she followed immediately, albeit at a much slower pace. She wasn't nearly as good a swimmer, after all. She was surprised to note that Nereida didn't need to come up for air much. Did she breathe underwater? That would make sense, considering her webbed hands. She must be a water-fae.

Ronnie sat pondering the other two's gifts to the jars. Ocean water and celtic cat carving. And in return, they received a cat like girl and someone with tremendous swimming abilities... she was going to have a bird after all. Except one that could talk back... why did that scare her so much? "I'd love to meet your kids but let's just let them play, I bet they're having fun."
The woman tipper her head back to stare at the open sky. While the impossible was happening to her, she felt it bring a string of calm. "I hope, whenever I get my child that they can friends with your children."

Kasumot stood and bowed tot he group. " If you will excuse me for a moment, I am going to go to that cove over there and see if I can find a flower or something.." he muttered nervously. He walked over to the cove and not five minutes later, a loud glass shattering sound was heard.

Hearing the noise, Silverah turned her head sharply. "Oh dear, I hope he hasn't fallen."
Nereida reached the shore break and rode a wave in. Dripping, she stood up and ran over to where the parents had gathered. "Mom? Kayce, Iris, and I are gonna go play pirates. Over there." She pointed to down the beach. "Okay?"
"That's fine," replied Silverah, "But there are a few people I want you to meet right here."

Kasumoto looked rather pale as he emerged back towards the group, and his hand held the hand of a little golden colored fae with short raven black hair and pupiless blue eyes. The tiny wings and stinger at the base of her spine reflected the nature of her gift as well as the bee anntene sticking upright from her head. She had a flower in her free hand and was softly sucking on one of the petals.
He came within earshot of the group and motioned to his new companion. " My jar.. shattered..and Tomoko here emerged." He said, his cheeks dark pink.
Tomoko, the newly emerged fae, regarded all these new faces with a silent and serene expression, though she kept a close eye on the area near her.

Nereida looked at the newcomer Fae and waved. "Hi, Tomoko. I'm Nereida. Wanna play pirates with me and my friends?"

Tomoko eyed the water almost fearfully. " Not.. know how..swim.." She said shyly, her little head appendages wiggling in the breeze as she could almost smell the flowers nearby.

She doesn't know how to swim? Nereida wondered. How was that possible? Swimming came as easily as breathing to Nereida. "We don't have to swim to play pirates," she compromises.

" How play pirates?" She questions in a whispery tone, her fluttering wings making a gentle whirring noise. She turned away for a moment and now her stinger was visable as she sniffed at the air. " I smell...flowers... there." She said, pointing towards the cove nearby. She then popped the petal of the flower off and swallowed it like a food. Her tongue then darted in and started searching for the necter within the flower as she turned back around and regarded Nereida curiously. " What..is..she?"

Nereida decided to stop trying to explain the idea of pirates to someone who had been alive for all of five minutes. But she did catch the question. "I'm a fae, like you," she stated.

"I'll make sure you get to meet Kayce. She can be quite charming when she has got a mind to be," Amyla chuckled, making sure Kayce didn't drown herself as she swam in closer. She was distracted by the sound of breaking glass and glanced about. "That's rarely a good sign," she muttered, sitting up straight on her towel until she spied him walking back, a golden fae in tow.
Kayce wasted no time in running straight out of the water. She did pause for a moment to shake herself dry and then ran straight to her mother. "We're going to play pirates down the beach there," she said, gesturing to where Nereida had pointed. "May I?"
"Yes, you may... after you get to know a few of these people," Amyla replied. She gestured at Ronnie. "Ronnie, meet Kayce."

Ronnie smiled as all the fae came running up the beach. The differences between them all were amazing, but they were all beautiful girls. "Nice to meet you all." She tipped her head in a friendly manner.
The man who'd been sitting near them, rather nervously, had gone off... he'd had a jar like hers... now he had a child? So that was how it worked...
