The sight of him baring his fangs at her reminded her of an agitated puppy. That idea was promptly followed by the image of Sesshomaru as a puppy...begging for doggy treats...
Kagome coughed to cover her laughter but she couldn't stop the edges of her eyes from crinkling from amusement.
Quickly shaking her head, she answered, "Nothing..." Taking a peek at Sesshomaru, she was apprehensive towards his expression. This was so not good...

She obviously didn't find him threatening anymore because she was laughing... at him no less. He was confused and he didn't get confused by anyone. Just kill her and go on with the rest of the day he thought to himself but oddly enough, he couldn't do. If he couldn't kill her, he might as well toy with her as she was toying with him.
He crossed the room swiftly and stood in front of her and stared down at her, blocking her escape
"I don't think you're in any position to be laughing at me." He said slowly, his amusement flashing in his eyes for a brief moment.

'Was that...?' Kagome wondered. She wasn't completely sure if she really saw that expression flash through.
Because if that was something akin to...amusement in Sesshomaru's eyes, she might be wandering the world of unconsciousness soon... And since when do the words "amusement" and "Sesshomaru" appear in the same sentence together?!
Nonplussed by the fact that he was towering over her current position, Kagome simply leaned back a little more and tilted her head upward. Flashing him a bright, innocent smile, she answered, "Then what position am I in?"
The Angelic!Kagome in her mind shook her head and began to wash herself in the bath. I feel so dirty...

I noticed XD especially with Pacifica's bio. Man... this makes me want to read that story over again XD *just thought about this* So how exactly is she going to realize that she's preggers? ))
Her innocent smile had not been the reaction he had wanted. Then again, half the reactions he received from her were not the reactions he had wanted or expected. She was hard to read and disliked not knowing, not having control over a simple minded woman who meant nothing to him. But not seeing the fear in her eyes he yearned to see made him frown down at her. She had leaned back and away from him and of course was smiling at him. First laughing, now smiling.
"Don't act brave girl." He countered, leaning in slightly towards her but making sure he kept some distance between them as he stared at her intently for a moment before continuing. "You're not in a position to be challenging me. It seems I have the upper hand in this."

((I really like it whee Tales from the House of the Moon is good too. It's long but I don't think the author finished it yet...
Erm. Sessho's superior nose tells him that she's preggers or Kagome realizes she missed her cycle or she gets hit with morning sickness? The first and third seem more probable in a shorter timespan of the RP.))
"What if I was to tell you that I don't need to act?" Kagome challenged.
"How so? This upper hand of yours." Crossing her legs on the bed, Kagome straightened up. "And while we're at it, what's with guys and the constant need to be on top?"
The girl paused and flushed, belatedly realizing what she just said. "Of things and the upper hand stuff," she added quickly. She spent way too much time with Miroku... And he's starting to rub off on her...

((Oh I read Tales from the House of the Moon whee heart I loved that one along with "Tears.." but I think the author finished HotM :3
I was thinking about the first one but the third one works too :3 So first and third it is XD! ))
"Don't confuse stupidity with bravery." He stated simply. He was taken aback by her question though and when she quickly tried to correct herself, he felt the smug attitude returning all at once. He straightened to his full height once more and folded his arms across his chest. "It easy to tell that I have you trapped and there's no one around to help you if I attacked..." He paused as he began to figure out how to answer her strange question. He was remotely surprised he was even going to entertain her interest "And as for being on top," He paused staring at her for a moment and then flicked his tail. "Males are always dominant over females."

((Did it? Ah, I have to start reading it again... I like "Laying Amongst Dokatsu" too but I never finished...
I can see it now... Sesshomaru starts to tell her that she's pregnant but either 1. she rushes out to the bathroom or 2. just lets it go on him XD He'd be so pleased... ))

She tilted her head defiantly at him. "And if I were to say I don't need help? I can simply purify you on contact with my powers."
The blush faded away except for a slight rosy tint on her cheeks. She could hear the double entendre and she definitely was not going to step down from the challenge. "What about trying other positions then? You might even like them even more."

((xD! Oh my goodness, if she let it go on him... *falls over laughing* That would be hilarious ))
He stared down her, challenging her defiant look and his tail twitched.
"Would you now? I would love to see you try it miko." He blinked at her for a moment, caught off guard by her last comment and he felt like he hadn't heard her right at first. He groaned in his mind and let out a long sigh at the thought-or thoughts- that crossed his mind at her words. Damn this girl he thought to himself.
"A different position?" He growled and raised his brow at her. "I wouldn't know if I liked it-" He looked down at the bed she as sitting on for a moment and back at her and leaned in closer. "Until I tried it of course."

"Mmhmm," Kagome replied, "I would...". She matched him look for look, her brown eyes dancing with hidden laughter.
She did her best to hid the growing blush at his implications. How in the world did this conversation take such a turn?!
With a falsely serious face, Kagome answered, "I'm sure Jaken would be more than happy to assist you in your...experiments. Have fun."

This girl certainly had some nerve for suggesting that even if it was slightly amusing.
"That was a horrible suggestion." He rolled his eyes at her, ignoring her amusement. It was always this bickering with her. It was then that he took a deep breath and noticed a strange scent he hadn't noticed before from his spot by the door when he had first walked into the room.
"Your scent miko; it isn't not normal..." Sesshomaru frowned deeply at that. Was it even possible for someone's scent to change? He took a step back away from her and folded his arm in front of his chest; studying her closely.

"Hmmm?" Kagome tilted her head at Sesshomaru, "My scent?"
She separated a lock of hair and sniffed it. It smelled like her lavendar shampoo with a hint of vanilla to her.
Her brow furrowed in confusion, "It smells fine to me..." Maybe he lost it...?

((Sorry about the late reply, homework just totally drained me x_x ))
He watched her sniffing her own hair and he shook his head, his own long strands falling his face. Running his claws through his hair and pushing it from his face he wondered how he was exactly going to explain this to her.
"I don't mean your hair girl. Your overall scent. Hasn't my fool of a brother explained this to you?" He paused and stared intently at her for a moment. He wasn't used to explaining himself to others so he felt awkward and shifted on his feet for a moment before continuing on. "You used to smell of flowers and rain ((*falls over* house of the moon moment XD! )) but now it's--" He leaned towards her and began to sniff at her, determined to find out why it confused him and slightly put off as to why her scent had slightly changed on him. "It's different now."

She blinked rapidly a few times.
"...Eh?"
Kagome stiffened slightly as Sesshomaru leaned in to get a better whiff of her scent. It's not every day that someone comes by and starts sniff you. Well... Between the two youkai brothers, she shouldn't be surprised really...
"Flowers and rain? Is that how I smell like?" she slowly questioned. It sounded... nice to hear it from the Western lord. "What do you mean by different?"

Sesshomaru paused when he realized what he had said aloud and then he nodded slowly as he lowered himself to his knees so they were almost the same height.
"Yes, to me, you've always smelled like flowers and rain." He said slowly before going back to sniffing her. He felt like a little puppy sniffing at her so eagerly as he tried to deduce what the heck was going on. He shook his head.
"Different isn't the right word. Your scent is still there-" He paused as he leaned back. "Underneath all of that is something thats starting to grow. Why must you always make things so confusing?" He asked her, almost as if it was her own fault for her change in smell.

Kagome tried her best to relax as he continued to sniff her. Why would he make such a strong distinction between the rest of the group's scent and her scent?
"Flowers...Any particular flower?," she asked, trying to amuse herself while he was investigating her scent.
She sulked at his following comment, "You make it as if I did it on purpose to throw you off! Geez, just like Inuyasha, to blame it on me." Averting her eyes, she scowled. Just when she was being to think he was actual civil!
But curiosity won over her brief fit. "Why would scents do that? To suddenly have another one added on?"
