Truth be told, I don't really like HIM all that much and I abhor Nightwish, but I love The Rasmus and Apocalyptica. Since starting to really get into Finnish language and culture, I've started listening to Maj Karma (Herra Ylppö is my new god...), and I'm currently sampling some Korpiklaani. Interesting. Very interesting.

Turisas! If you liked a least bit of Korpiklaani, you have to try Turisas too. I don't know would you like Tarot, but it's worth looking into. Ruoska is fun too, a bit monotonic though. I like the band more after spending Sauna Open Air with one of band members. biggrin
I love most Finnish metal and folkmetal, I take it heavy and melodical.
Then there is great, great Finnish folk/etno bands, such as Värttinä and Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu.
Some new, small of otherwise not so well known bands and projects: Pohjannaula, Ville Kangas has made record named Suuri Erehdys (Great Mistake) that is something like ambient folk or new folk. Good relaxing music. Something to make you feel good.
