"Hey, I spent a whole week's payment getting out here, because I thought you were in trouble! 'Oh, Linith never comes to the city! Something must be wrong!' P'feh! Now I'm broke and you obviously aren't in any danger. You owe this to me, Lenny! I need to get back in the city and earn back what I've just lost! Besides, were else would we go?" Isina's first and true love was with money. And she wanted it back, soon. People don't make money running around in the woods! "Hey, now that I think of it, why are you here? You dodged by the question once. I should like to know why I spent a whole twenty coppers trying to help my dear sister." She glanced behind her at Amerkand's high-rising walls, mumbling to herself, "I could scale those ramparts, easy..."

While the sisters conversed, she looked down at the small dragon, not knowing what to do. She wasn't exactly experiences with animals, not to mention dragons. Reluctantly, she bent down and stroked his head, hoping she asn't going to get a finger bit off or anyhting.

Ailfey endured the stranger's caress as long as he was apt to - which wasn't a great deal of time - then took the opportunity that Sachara's outstretched arm presented and lept up her arm, using it as a ladder to climb to her shoulder. He busily began exploring, tangling himself in her hair and sniffing nosily around her, oblivious to the fact that the object of his exploration may not necessarily enjoy it as he did.
Linith watched this momentarily with a wary eye, came to the conclusion that Sachara wasn't in immediate danger, and went back to the situation at hand - her sister's growing anger.
After seeing her sister was safe from harm, she realized her motivation in coming to check on her was a bit unfounded. Still, she wasn't one to left self-doubt and second guessing weaken her stance.
She began her tirade:
"First of all, you're not scaling any ramparts. You're no miniature dragon, in case you've forgotten. And as much as I welcome and enjoy your enthusiasm for coming to 'rescue' me, as well as how I enjoy your constant whining, I did not come back here to experience it. Believe it or not, little sister, this is a dangerous world even in the best of times. And these are certainly not the best of times. Things are changing for the worst - where I have travelled, I have encountered things which I need not repeat to your novice ears. As happy as you may be in Amerkand's taverns playing bard, the situation in the city is becoming increasingly dark. It's no longer safe to frequent this place...think what you will, but I have my ways of knowing these things. That is why I have returned. There are evil things creeping out of the darkest places of the world, strange occurances nature cannot explain. However, I intend to find the source of these problems that plague nature's order.
- And I intend to bring you with me."

Isina rolled her eyes. She was never one to take things seriously. "Lenny, I've lived in Amerkand all my life, and you've lived in the woodlands all your life. You have your area of expertise and I mine. I understand that you may be jittery about something some mole rat or bird told you, but do not presume I'm incapable of defense." She patted one of her sheathed sword, the hilt just barely visible among the folds of her garish robe.
"You don't know how dangerous life in the city really can be, as I understand your life is. You ever had to fight of hordes of people without hurting them while they mob you after they realize you've picked their drunken little pockets ?" She paused to consider what she had just said, then tried to justify, knowing that her sister did not approve of thievery, no matter how necessary Isina viewed it as. "Okay, sometimes music just doesn't cut it, okay? Besides its not my fault if their too drunk to notice their coin-purse has disappeared!" She chuckled a bit, then returned to being serious. "Linith, know that if you take me with you, I will more of a hindrance than a help. The city is my home as well as my forte." She shrugged hopelessly. "I don't think I can help." Then she saw a look in her sister's eyes that she had missed before. Isina could see the truth in her eyes, see how serious this was for Linith. This 'plague' must be pretty important to her, Isina thought, feeling kinda dumb for not seeing that sooner. "But," the bard amended with a dramatic sigh, "I suppose if it's so serious, I can go with you. But I won't like it."

Sachara blinked as she was curiously inspected by the small dragon. She didn't say anything, considering she didn't want to interrupt the obviously important conversation between the two sisters, but she wanted to ask what exactly the dragon was doing. I never was much of an animal person... she sighed. As the inspection continued, she could feel her short hair becoming terribly knotted. Tempted to swat the dragon frm her shoulders, she resisted, though she had no idea why. What a pain....
