This is getting a little ridiculous as Eric and Kain are both right. In fact the link between Elizabeth Bathory and the vampire myth wasn't even started until the 70's.

The story goes that she was a very vain women but also very cruel. She was know for beating her maids and one day she hit on so hard she drew blood that landed on her hand. When the blood was washed off she believed the skin looked youthful again. So driven to hold onto her youth Elizabeth killed and tortured young girls in order to bathe in their blood. She was only caught and tried for her crimes when she killed some high class girls believe that their noble blood would work better that that of maids.

That's how the story goes but whether it's true on not I'm not sure. she was recorded as one of histories most famous serial killer.

There's a very detailed acount of her life and crimes on wikipedia. The link's here if you wanted to check for yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised. The bloody mary mythos has been around for a long time. It's, or something similar, has been featured in a number of films.

Kids are also into that craaaazy Ouija board (two different words for yes, which essentially translates into the "Yes Yes" Board), or spirit board as it's known in a few occult circles. As published by Milton Bradley.

Top selling board game at 'Toys R us.'

I recall a little game called 'Light as a feather, stiff as a board' for all the fledgling witches at sleepovers. Kids these days. Always levitatin' their friends.

In elementary school we all tried it. Say bloody mary three times, while spinning around and then look in the mirror. We were in second grade, so we all ended up seeing something different.

I have done it. Nothing happened. I even tried it again with the lights off. Again. Nothing happened.

But in the show Supernatural they say a girl named Mary was murdered. She had her eyes cut out and she tried to spell out the killer's name on a mirror. Then when someone says it she kills a person thats in the same room with a deep dark secret. For example killing someone.

I like that story the best but I haven't heard of Blood Mary that much.
