I just added another wave of members after I remembered that people apply occasionally. So, if you're one of those new members, welcome! Please post in this guild from time to time because there's plenty to discuss, since there are so many stupid creationists posting at the moment.
Don't forget that Creationism vs. Science pops up all over the place. It's found in Extended Discussion, Morality & Religion, and Science & Technology. I believe people also mention it in GD, but I wouldn't know since I never go there.
In addition, it's become obvious to me that people who oppose Creationism don't all agree. In fact, many people have the wrong ideas about the theory of evolution and the Big Bang, and many people believe things or don't believe things for all the wrong reasons. So remember to post in this guild's forum, so that we can discuss and argue and hopefully all come off the better for it.

Hello. I'm Tenshinage, and I'm an Atheiest.
I don't usually post much, only when I feel that I can be of some use. I joined this guild why? Because I hate Fundamentalists/Creationists. I have problems with anything that doesn't make sense. They make me want to hurt somebody. Now, I have respect for other religions, but not those who take thier religion too seirously and believe that the world was created out of nothingness. To quote Yellow Card, "IT MAKES......NO.......SENSE!"

Hey, all. Sorry that I've been away, it is supposed to be as a lent thing. Or just cause I was using gaia very much and maybe wanted to try other things. It appears that the most interesting thing that has happened on my off-time has been the creation of the creationism guild (pun not intended); Which looks pretty good. I recommend you post notices in all the Christian guilds.
Anyway, I'm not going to really start using gaia again until easter; But I hope to write an essay about evolution before then, to organize my thoughts about this; if I have enough time. That'll be in two weeks, and I'm hosting a French-speaking exchange student during that time.
Hmm... One thing that I think would be rather good; actually gathering the evidence for the current estimations of the age of the Earth together in a nice, easy to read way that creationists can understand (ie very simple language). Far as I've heard; there are three main things; Something having to do with the amount of certain radioactive isotopes, something having to do with radiation from distant stars, and something having to do with rock layers.
This'd prettymuch contradict the six-thousand-years-old idea, Although the bible does not actually let on that the world was created six thousand years ago. This estimation is actually based on the sum of the years mentioned in the geneology between Abram the prophet's life, and Adam and Eve. The catch is; it isn't mentioned how long Adam is supposed to have spent in that garden; Theoretically, if Adam lived happily in that li'l garden for, say, a few billion years, before the serpent finally got bored enough to tempt them, then, well... eh.
On a side note, my science class in school this year is lookin' pretty good this year. I think I'll be doin' a somewhat thorough experiment involving electrocuting plants. In the third term, I'll be studying evolution for biology, but that's quite far in the future. Hmm.
Well. Bye...

Greetings from the Interior. My name is Mark, and I AM a Creationist. I'm not a flamer, so I do not expect anybody to harass me either. I look forward to upcoming discussion and debate. I can already tell that there are probably more anti-creationists here (hence the title) No matter....This shall be interesting. I just wanted to say hi to everybody, and I hope that no matter what each of you believe, we can all keep it together in a civilized manner. We're not here to bash other people's beliefs (This goes to both Christians, and Atheists [anti-creationists]) We're here to share our thoughts. One thing I should mention...I don't think that everybody should come to table with absolute 100% certainty that what they think is right...well, I mean...I think that the Bible is 100% right, but my point is, I am willing to listen to YOUR theories, and not just throw my hands up in the air, roll my eyes, and scoff every time an anti-creationist opens their larynx. I am prepared to listen to YOU, and not always be flapping my gums. It's been a pleasure to say hi, and I hope I'll get to know people a whole lot better.
