Kyohei had taken off to work and had arrived at three minutes to his shift start. He immediately began to do all the tasks he needed to do. Most of which were cleaning or praying at the shrine. Sometimes he was asked to give advice or to sell charms or even sometimes take people on a tour around the shrine but not often. At the moment he was to pray at the shrine and walk around helping the people.

He freigned insult, "Me? I wouldn't dare spy on you."
he smiled innocently, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my darling."
Jun raised a brow at Rease, "Really?"
Then he did his best impression of his female students, "Like oh mah gawd, will you like totally sign it for me, because I found you like uber sexy!"
Jun coughed as he did the high pitched voice to the best of his ability.
"Augh, that left an awful taste in my mouth..." He commented ruefully.

Kyohei was kneeling respectfully at the shrine alter, his head bowed in prayer. He had been that way for at least an hour now. Most young men would find in extremely painful aftr ten minutes but since he'd had years of practice Kyohei was able to sit this way for long periods of time.

There were many people at the shrine who visited regularly and knew Kyohei by name, despite his distant behavior. As he rose he saw a few students he knew by name. They attended the junior high school nearby the shrine. They stopped there often and would wait usually for Kyohei to finish what he was doing just to speak with him.

"Ah, Jin-kun, Haru-kun. It's good to see you." Kyohei said lightly as he walked next to them slowly from the alter and outside to the purification fountain. They washed their hands as he watched and waited for them.

"Yes, we came to see you today. You've been away from work a while."

"I've been having a little vacation." He said smiling. "I think everyone needs one once in a while don't you? That reminds me, when is summer break for you two?"

"Not long from now." the shorter one, Jin, replied.

"I hope you'll come to visit me often here." The two boys nodded with smiles. "Well, I have to get back to work now. Please come back tomorrow when I will be giving tours." The nodded again and waved goodbye. "See you tomorrow."

((I am so sorry for the prolonged absence. My roommate dropped a can of paint on our modem. And just to announce, I'll be on vacation next week Mon-Thurs.))

Jack stepped out of the manager's office, rubbing his temple. He had never enjoyed being screamed at. Turned out it was worse when you didn't understand the language. He was convinced that only German could top Japanese for conveying extreme anger and condescension.

Stretching his arms, he shook off the tirade and looked over to the wet tenant, recognizing him from the time he took refuge in Jun and Reace's apartment. He lifted his hand in a tenative wave. "You okay? It's nasty out there."

"I'm not sure I want to understand what he said to me in there. He's a very frustrated individual, and I can't imagine I'm to blame for all of it." Jack grinned, stepping across the hall and opening the door to the basement stairs. "I have some hot water ready to make cocoa. Or tea if you prefer. It's not fancy digs, but it's warm and dry with the furnace right next door."

"Arigatou gozaimasu. I'm freezing. Tea would be excellent. What kind? If I may ask? Do yu have Jasmine? It's my favorite. Green tea is really good too. I love peach tea as well." Akira started to ramble on and on. His charming smile once again slapped onto his face. The thought of warmth really made him happy. Akira hated the cold like a cat hated water.

"Well, from the faint sounds, I heard that it's not supposed to rain indoors. I felt the carpets were a little soggy when I fell." He said. Wondering why the hallway carpets were wet. It couldn't be a leak, because it was only the carpets of the 23'd floor. Shrugging he just followed the other into the basement.

Jack scratched his hair sheepishly as he led the way to his room. "Well, that's mostly what I was getting yelled at for, I'm assuming. It was a last ditch effort to save Mr. Hawthorne from his fangirls."

He unlocked the door to the apartment, which was substantially different from the tenant condos. Carpeted in shag that must have been there since the 70's judging by the goldenrod color, the walls painted cinderblock, windows only small casements up next to the cieling, looking out on street level. The furnishings were equally unglamorous, a futon in a truly hideous orange fabric, a cocktail table with one fractured leg held up by a dictionary, a set of bookcase-and-plywood shelves, a duct-taped beanbag chair, and a small tv of the vintage long before plasma screens. The kitchenette beyond was hardly complimented by an avocado green dinette set.

"C'mon in. Sorry, I haven't found the right decorator yet." Jack stepped into the kitchenette to open his cupboard. "I have jasmine and white, so jasmine it will be I guess?" He measured some leaves into a cast-iron teapot and filled it form his electric kettle, then made himself a mug of instant cocoa. He set the mug, the teapot, and a small cup on a chipped lacquered tray and brought it out to the 'livingroom/bedroom' area, setting it on the coffee table.
