You had your tragus done with a gun?!?!
Well, I have had a few mishaps. About a month after I got my cartilege done, I was taking off my shirt, and my shirt caught it and tugged it a little. It hurt, but there was no rippage or bleeding.
And now I am pulling a stupid: I'm in Aikido (it's a Japanese martial art where you throw people and get thown yourself) through the college I'm at, and I just had my nipples double pierced within the last month or so. So, needless to say I am really hoping I never get thown hard on my chest.

I've had countless mishaps...um..I'll name a couple of the worst ones.
Recently, with my monroe piercing, the piercer put the wrong jewelry in. Too short of a bar and too small of a disk. Soooo it sucked into my lip. My mom had to cut it out with an exacto knife. Pretty scary. Even she was scared. But it was a simple procedure. I'm just mad at the shop for doing a piss-poor job. [makes a mental note to actually listen to people who tell her not to go to certain shops, even though they're cheap]
Another scary one was when I got my n****e pierced. My friend was doing it. Mind you, my friend is an experienced piercer, so I wasn't worried. He pierces the first one no problem[OUCH], but on the second one....
Let's just say...a needle coming out of the FRONT of your n****e is NEVER something you want to see. o_o;; It hurt. It bled. I LACTATED BLOOD. O_O
He apologized profusely and didn't know how it happened and all was well with just a stinging n****e.
Another one would be when I was getting my hood pierced. I was sitting while he did it and jumped back and ripped the ridged clamps off. Luckily he had the needle through. But...omg...ouch.
Those are a couple of my more shocking mishaps.

One night I woke up with a sore earlobe and barely enough time to get out the door to work. Later, at work, I see one of my o-rings somehow got around a bit of my actual lobe. The pinched part was white and took forever to get blood flow again. It took about two weeks to heal back to normal, as the rubber o-ring had actually started to break the skin. Ugh.
Another time I accidently headbutted an iron bar with my eyebrow. Blood poured down my face, but it only sustained minimal damage somehow.

I got my tongue pierced and I followed all the cleaning instructions, didn't eat dairy, drink beer, etc. and after two weeks the swelling didn't go down. I tried seeing other piercers, changing the barbell to titanium, seeing doctors to check for infection and everyone said it looked fine but it wouldn't go down. So I took the barbell out to let it heal on its own and the piercing healed and doctors still say my tongue looks perfectly healthy, but the swelling never went down completely. After seeing three doctors, my dentist, and five different piercers, I still don't know why. I wish I still had my tongue piercing. sad (if anyone has any information, it would be great)

awww, i'm sorry to hear that shoe. maybe your tongue was just rejecting it outright, although tongues are generally easier to heal...perhaps waiting for a while and getting it done again?
*shudder* eurydice's mishaps make me cringe. brave brave woman.
i think my worst couple of times have been in shaolin practice, when my friend and i were going at it during staff work and my industrial got whacked pretty hard with the staff i was using when i blocked him. ugh, that probably took away a month's worth of healing.
the worst was the n****e ring though. i get hit in the chest a LOT during practice, and eventually i had to take it out. there was one time where my then-boyfriend and i had gotten a hotel room (we were staying out of town for a bob dylan concert) and were we laying on the bed watching tv. he reached over to grab my watch and see what time it was, thought my n****e ring was a part of my watch, and pulled, hard. i cried over that one, and he still apologizes to this day.

Possibly an allergy or something unrelated to the piercing? Any problems due to the piercing should have been relieved after you removed the jewelry. I know it took a couple weeks for my tongue to go down, and then I still downsized twice more in the next couple months.

domokun I took the piercing out at the end of July. I would like to get it done again, but I don't know why it went so badly or why it still hasn't gone down completely...

Oo.. It wasn't very painful..But pretty freaking gross >_<
My ear lobes had gotten infected while I was stretching them, I foolishly kept stretching them. (yes I know. STUPID.)
Yeah, so I was eating strawberry cheesecake and I touched my ear cause it was kinda irritating me, I went back to eating my cheesecake and I noticed I had accidently got some on my finger, I was about to eat it and I got my finger about an inch away from my mouth and realised that it was the crap from my ear infection sweatdrop
Needless to say, if I had acctually eaten that I would have screamed/cursed/thrown up.

Heh, I have a good one. A friend of mine got a few lyrics from her favorite song tattoo'd on her, and they spelled it wrong 3nodding It freaks me out because it was a fairly complicated tattoo too, involving color and details. How would you miss-spell something? Would you triple check it?

Well I guess I should add my trauma
I had wanted a navel ring since I was 13 and finally about a month after my 18th birthday I went to get it done at a highly reccomended shop. Everything at the shop went perfectly fine, I barely even felt the piercings. Three months later my piercing wasn't healing up and it was looking rather nasty and was still REALLY sore. I went back to the shop to get the guy to look at it and he told me to just put use the teabag trick. I did that and it started healing up for a little bit, after about 7 months and my piercing still hurting and looking rather unpleasent I finally gave up and took it out.
that's not the end of this piercing story.
Last May I went and got my navel redone and and even more highly reccomended place in Charlotte NC (Sadu) they're strictly a piercing shop. Anyway it's nearly a year later and my piercing which again went perfectly fine for the first 4 months is still store and has migrated and leans a great deal to the left. I'm too attached to it to take it out and give up but it still has nasty nights when it wants to be sore.
I figure I'd just let it finish rejecting and fall out, I'm tired of fighting it.
PS. the reason it migrated the way it did and didn't heal up propperly is possibly due to my weight and body type, so any big girls out there looking for a navel ring, just be carefull.
on another note, it's been one full week today since I got my nipples done and they're doing just dandy, the only problem we had with that was that the needle got stuck half way through the first one and it hurt like a b***h.

[NUTs] did you try putting in better quality jewelry liek gold? I put a banana bell I got at a dollar store in my anti naval and it kept getting all infecty until I switched it to a different, better quality curved barbell.
