Aspen blinked, staring at his sister for a moment before sulking again. Great...they were BOTH older than him now... He grumbled incoherently to himself, grabbing another cookie.
Takeko's reaction was a bit more extreme.
"MEI LIEN!" She ran over, immediately engulfing her daughter in a warm embrace. "I'm so happy to see you!" She glanced back at Aspen before turning back to her daughter. "We were so worried about you! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Her maternal instincts practically screaming in her head, she was going into overdrive to make sure her offspring was safe.

Mei Lien was surprized at her mother's reaction, she had no time to say anything to Blake. "No, I just wanted to visit Grandma." Really she had snuck out to see Blake and then went to her Granparent's, but who needed to know? "Sorry." She felt bad that she had worried her parents.
Aspen watched the two, he didn't want to interrupt. It was good that Takeko didn't yell or that Mei Lien didn't yell back. She was an adult now..

Blake rested back into the chair and nibbled another cookie. It was so nice that Mei Lien had such caring parents. But that meant he had to be careful around them a little more. This made his tail twitch even more.

Takeko slowly released her daughter from her tight embrace, shaking her head. "It's alright, dear. We're just glad you're safe." She smiled, directing Mei Lien to an empty chair at the table. "Here, take a seat and have a cookie. How is your grandmother? We haven't seen her in quite a while."
She shot a look at Aspen remembering exactly the last time they'd been to see her, together at least. It was right after Ivy had gotten back from her Elder quest...and right after Takeko had been notified by the guardians that she was pregnant. In fact, Saffron and Mei Lien had been born in their grandparents' house.

Mei Lien sat next to Blake and blushed as she looked over at him. "She's good. I ate dinner there, salad." Grandma was always eating salads and fruit. Mei Lien took a cookie and smiled at Blake.
"We should visit her more often." He missed his mother and figured she missed them.

Blake smiled at Mei Lien as well. He twiddled his thumbs before taking a sip of water even though there was no water in the glass. What he really needed was something to preoccupy his hands lest he belt out 'I love you!' in front of mei Lien's parents. Adameus quickly popped out from Blake's hair and giggled. After messing up Blake's hair he floated over to Mei Lien and sat on her lap, babbling. Blake quickly stood up. "Oh, I'm sorry. He--he does act a little silly sometimes." He said nervously and gave his Mellon a stern look. "Get off Mei Lien's lap, pleeease." He said through gritted teeth. But to no avail because all this did was make Adameus lay back and relax. Blake quickly snatched his annoying guardian away and tossed him out the window. This was okay as Adameus (unlike Blake) could fly. "Terribly sorry about that." Blake stuttered before sitting down and drinking from the empty glass again.

((Sorry it took so long to write back. I was waiting for Teigra, but I think school is really making her busy.))
Mei Lien giggled as she watched Blake and his mellon fight. She petted the mellon's head before it flew off. "OH, that's ok, he's cute...just like you." She blushed and looked away hoping her parents didn't hear that.

Blake blushed and his tail curled up. That usually meant he was happy. He looked down at his feet smiling widely. "You're cute too." He whispered.

Mei Lien blushed as well and then reached out to get a cookie. She wondered if she was in trouble or if maybe Blake and her could go somewhere...
Aspen smiled at the two. It was obvious they were falling in love and who was he to stop that?

Blake tried taking a sip of water, only to see that there was nothing in his glass. Took him long enough to figure out. "Ooops. Heheh...no water left."

Mei Lien smiled, "Come on and we'll get some more." She pulled his arm before he could protest. At least this would give them a little alone time.

"Yoit!" Blake yelped as he was pulled away. Eeee kitchen time! he thought to himself. "So.....are we going to the kitchen....or something?"

Mei Lien giggled, "Oh course, where else do you thinkwe get water." She got to the kitchen and then opened the fridge, "Do you want water of juice?"

Blake thought for a second then replied. "Juice please. I like juice. So.....ummm like I said before you look.....fantastic. Uhhh when did you grow?"
