Thanks Misao. I have a hard time explaining myself and it usually ends up in long rants. Unless you've been involved in Japanese music, (Visual kei, eroguro, whatever have you) Or involved in Japanese culture it's very hard to tell the difference between what is feminine and what is 'normal'.
((Gah hahaha. Seth et Holth ._.;;; ))

(( XD Seth et Holth. I loved that movie, it was so incredibly ****ed up, that it rocked.... though, I'll never understand it 100% no matter how many times I watch it. o.o ))

I know it's not right but I get frusterated with people who think they know Japan (ex. everyone loves anime, and all feminine looking guys are gay). *COUGH* ANYWAY... ((Seth et Holth...I bought that the first time I went to Japan...I came back, watched it, and I was just like "O-o". It was kind of a neat movie even though I don't remember it all...Plus, it came with a neat sticker :'D))

I'm not meaning to sound like a total egotistical you-know-what, but I do have a good knowledge when it comes to almost any kind of Japanese music (Jrock, noice, punk, thrash, eroguro, angura-kei, visual kei...Hell, I even know a lot about enka and traditional music because I play the o-koto xD). So I think it's hilarious when people who have a limited, narrow mind (like a lot of the VK newbs you see running around) try and challenge me and put up an argument like: "omg u don kno wut u r taahlkin abot DIR en GRAY iz da bezt baand evar scream scream scream twisted ...It happens...a lot -_- I'd be happy to sell you mine in original case and everything (except without the sticker cause it's on my guitar case). If you ever want it just send me a PM or whatever. *COUGH* OR ANYONE WANTING TO BUY A TM REVOLUTION OR LARAKU CD. PRIME CONDITION *COUGH* I understand that too! My friend, Makoto and I have been into Jrock for what seems like forever. We were watching Malice Mizer during Anime Club because everyone else was being boring. They see it, ask questions, and of course we answer. I swear THE next day, they were all like, "OMG!! MANA'S THE BEST!!! I've lurved him 4ever and ever and I know more then you!" They went prancing around acting like they knew everything there was to know about VK and Jrock. It really pissed us off, but we didn't say anything, and instead tried to introduce them to other bands. They wanted nothing to do with them. Miyavi, Alice Nine, Dir en Grey, and hell, even Moi Dix Mois, they ignored! Which I found retarded since they were so "dedicated" to Mana. And I often wear Gothic Lolita, but the next thing I knew, they were prancing around in those damned Hot-Topic GL knock-offs trying to be like Mana, even going as far as to prance around doing "Societe de Parente Show" reinactments. A few months later, all of the sudden, one of them is like, "ZOMG!!! MIYAVI IS LYKE, SO SEXY! He's Teh best!" And I was like, "No. ********. Way." <__< Ugh, they pissed me off. I really wish I would have said something to their faces, but I decided to play nice. =/ But the fact that, even knowing it was US who introduced Jrock to them, they had the balls to act like it was their thing from the begginning, acting all-knowing. And when I would correct them on something, they'd be like, "Well I read~ blah blah blah." <_< 'tards. /end completely un-related to the Thread Topic rant. XD There should be a ranting thread. Lol.

I'm not that great with make-up either, but... wow. Another thing that irked me was their ignorance towards the greater musicians. Malice Mizer was a good band, and I love Mana's work, but they wouldn't believe that it wasn't Malice Mizer that started VK. And they would always make fun of X JAPAN, which REALLY got me mad. They would be like, "They look like they're from the 80's!" And I was like, "Wtf 'tard? I know what your saying. Honestly I think that people who only like Malice Mizer or the more recent bands are missing out on some of the best years of VK. There are SO MANY good bands out there and people with a narrow view on music and especially the VK scene make me a little tiffed. I agree with you in that aspect, about how if you are to appreciate ANY genre of music you have to at least have a little respect for those who brought it about. Absolutely. @: Kyo_fan_for_life: Hot Topic is a ridiculously expensive store for trendy young teenagers. It's nothing more than feeding off the trend that has become affluent in society. At any rate, we don't really have Hot Topic in Canada, if we did, sure, I would peruse around and check out the decent prices...But, really...I'd never save a whole paycheck for ANYTHING in that store. Especially something that I can get cheaper, better made, or of course DIY.
