Big Shortie こんにちは私の名前はジョンである。 私は私の数学のクラスを憎む (Hi my name is John. I hate my math class)) *"konnichi wa. watashi no namae wa john desu." Use romaji instead of Kanji/kana because I'll be that most people in this particular thread don't know how to read Kanji and kana. *"watashi no suugaku no jyugyou ga kirai desu." "jyugyou", as I mentioned to someone else before, is another word for "class", so it's good to know it. Also, an easy way to say you hate something (since "kirai" is a really strong word in Japanese) is to use the form I wrote. It's much easier to remember: subj wa noun ga kirai desu.

Seisuke Hajimashite watashi wa kuruzu Emmanueru to moshimasu doozo yoroshiku onegai shimasu watashi wa Purueeto Riko kimashitaka kara desu Anata wa Doko kara kimashita ka? ima nanji desu ka ? kogo yonji ni jyuu roku pun desu watashi wa sushi no tabemasu *Hajimemashite *It'd be easier to say "watashi no namae wa (insert name) desu." *douzo. When it's written in hiragana a "u" is used and not an "o", so to remember that it's much easier to romanize it with a "u". *Pueruto Ri-ko kara irasshaimashita. At least, if you want to be really formal. If you want to be casual: "kara kimashita" would suffice. *Again, to be more formal (since you don't really know many of us, I'd assume), you should use "doko kara irasshaimashita ka" instead of "kara kimashita". *"kogo"? You mean to say AM/PM? "gozen" (AM) or "gogo" (PM). It's also "yoji" and "juuroppun". Many numbers change when there's a counter added to it. *"sushi o tabemasu Other than that, you did very well. ^_^

Of course, "am learning" is a totally different conjugation, but I haven't really learned it yet. Freakazette-san, do you know it? if you want "am currently learning" you want the te-form of the verb plus "iru" or "imasu" so in this case, "naratte imasu." The "te-imasu" for is like "ing" in English, makes it a present verb rather than future.. I actually always hear "nihongo o benkyou shimasu" benkyou being studies. It's probably just a different nuance, like "narau" is learning something that doesn't take long to learn, like "unten o naraimashita" I learned how to drive, while benkyou is for subjects that you have to spend a long time learning, and we all know Japanese falls in the latter.

Big Shortie Watashi gah kanajo o hankan. (i dislike girlfriend. i dont know if "o" is before or after the object. i dont know my either.) an object marker is after the noun that's the object, but i wouldn't use "o" with a person unless you really don't like them. biggrin some other things: hankan: i've heard it before, but it doesn't seem too common, i'd used "suki ja nai" or "kirai" kanajo: this apparently means metal ladel, you want "kanojo", the katakana word "gaarufurendo" works too. "my girlfriend:" if you say kanojo, it's assumed you're probbaly talking about your girlfriend, unless you say the name of someone else. Watashi wa kanojo ga suki ja arimasen. "suki ja arimasen" means you don't like them, you couls also say tokidoki kanojo ga suki ja arimasen. sometimes, i don't like my girlfriend.
