I felt tears squeezing through my eyes as I tried to rup at it. "Owww, that was dirty", I said trying to get the sand out. I stood still my sword lowered only a bit as I tried to get the sand out of my eyes.

Ki Mahou felt something. An inner peace, like death, leaving from him. It was from Runa... She had already lost. He felt something else... a prison. His tattoo felt ice cold. He realized...
He then thought to himself, Should I start, or wait with her to the end?
He decided to wait...

Seeing her trying to get the sand out of her eyes, Chan walked closer and grabbing his sword and swung it at her sword making it fall to the ground.

I opened my reddened eyes and looked at him sadly, "I lost Chan....you won.....its over.....so now what", I said. "I dont want you or me putting my friends in any danger, that is all that I ask of....that is all that I plead of. is to spare them.....So What now", I said.

"Dont worry Runa i see you dont wish to be like me all i ask is for you to bring Ming Yue to the forest in one month." Chan then walked over to Runa,"This might hurt alittle." Chan reached into her soul and pulled the grain of sand out along with the roots and vines that started to grow. "Remember one month or this will hunt you and enter your body once again." Chan then disappeared to the forest and in his barn.

I gasped as he took it all out and fell to my knees breathing heavily. Uhh, I gasped. One month....Ming Yue......no......how can I avoid this one......I collasped face first into the ground exhasuted from the giht. Kazuma is still out in the desert I thought.....atleast Im free for now.....

I looked at him and looked down, "I'm alright Ki Mahou, no need to worry.....We should go back to Kazuma hes out in the desert.....and also I want you to tell no one of what happened here today....I don't want anyone worrying.....so please......keep this between us", I siad gently.

"Not too far away...just a little out that ways", I said pointing out of the oasis into the desert. "Ki Mahou, I'm very tired can you get Kazuma and I back to the shrine somehow? He's probably out still...and I can walk a little more...", I said in a very low and tired voice.

Ki smiled. "I do have a way back. I learned to teleport when I felt that grain of sand go into you..." He faded off as he realized how much he was revealing regarding his power and feelings.

I looked at him confused, "Felt it go into me.....how could you have felt it.....I don't understand Ki....What are you talking about....We really need to get back to the shrine soon...before I fall asleep here", I said softly. "You can tell me later if you wish", I said laying my hand on his arm. "I won't ever make you speak of something you don't wish too", I said with a small smile. "So lets go".

He smiled uneasily, then thought, as they made their way to Kazuma. "D-do you mind if I tell you now? I..." He sighed, "I need to tell you something that you can't tell anyone else."

I looked over at him and nooded my head, "Of course Ki, no one else never will know", I said gently as I waked slowly besides him.

Ki pulled up his Yukata sleeve and revealed the lotus tattoo on his arm. "This... was put on me when I turned ten. I was chosen, in my old land, as a bearer of it because I can sense emotion and fate. This branded me as one, and I went through training to stop this skill. There is more to it, but I still developed the skill. I defied them, and the training on my emotions is being undone..." He stopped walking as he felt Kazuma's presence near. "My skill is strongest on those I care for, and my magic is related..." He turned to her again. "There will be some people from lands that understand this mark, and it is seen as bad to most of them... there is no true basis behind it besides fear of power and fulfillment of prophecy."
