Eclipses emerald and sapphire eyes glazed over a slight red color as he snarled at the rat "it is none of your concern, what business is it of yours to know my business?" He said to the other, never having been this angry in a while. It was true, he could get worse but still this was fine for the time being "need I remind you" he said in the same tone" that YOU were going to STEAL from me?! Out of my own house no less. We are even, whatever business of mine is NOT yours and never will be" he said to the other, drinking the rest of what was in his glass and trying to calm himself down.

He was cowed by Eclipse's outburst, yes, but nothing close to defeated. "It was the barest thought," Gideon snarled - or as near to it as he could, considering how lifeless he currently felt and the fact that he'd never actually managed it in his life. So it came out more as a harsh, snappish retort - which amounted to the same effect, really, if less terrifying. "You're the one traipsing around in my headbones, vampire - you're also the one who's a bloody vampire. If I'd found something, anything of remotely dangerous power in this house I would've removed it without a second thought," the harsh breathing returned with the renewed stress and he took a moment to clear his head of the muddled tired and weak.

"Even before I knew you were a bloodsucker, it would've been dangerous to leave something powerful in an ignorant's hands..." he muttered, still trying to regain his strength and fervor before launching into another verbal attack.

Because, okay, he understood Eclipse's reaction. Most people reacted that way to Gideon's little escapades. But he wasn't about to lose the high moral ground to the fox, not now that he'd been bitten.

"What do you think I have stored here? There is nothing here, it is just me and the servents, I might be a vampire but im not the person you think i am, it seems your the ignorant one" he said in a snappy sort of tone. Eclipse walked over to the mirror and sighed, knowing that they would get nowhere by just verbally attacking each other, especially when the rat was weak so he decided to shut up and turned around while hugging himself and looked at him.

"We will discuss this later, as offered, your room is up on the second floor and its the first door on the right so please use it if you wish however if you take anything or do anything wrong I WILL know about it." He said as he walked out of the dinning room and started to make his way to the library, needing to start working out his bills that he had to pay and thinking about Lycurgus, he smiled at the maid and sent her into the dinning room.

The maid walked in and stood at the door "Sir, if you would like me to get you anything at any time please, dont hesitate to aks me" she said to him as she smiled at him. "The master wishes you to be comfortable while you stay here with us, if you do intend to I mean" she said once more as she walked over to the table and stood beside it. "Also, if you wish for anything to eat or drink I too will be happy to get you whatever you wish" she said to him, hoping that everything would turn out ok while the rat stayed here.

"'course 'm ignorant," Gideon muttered to himself as Eclipse left, "You didn't tell me anything..."

Not that, you know, he should've. Because it didn't make sense to tell someone you were gonna bite 'em. That didn't mean he was inclined to be nice. In any way, shape or form. The vampire had bitten him. And that was just... ew. Didn't like that. Hurt. And he felt all... whoop-dee-where-am-I? now and that wasn't... wasn't conducive to... anything... With a stifled yawn, the rat shifted his weight uncomfortably while the maid spoke. "Thank you~" he beamed up at her when she was done - wouldn't hurt to make some sort of friend here, would it? "'m just in the mood for a little sleepy time now if that's okay?" his voice was light and held that airy, fluxuating tone so common to the tired and drugged. "Help me find the room?"

Something was up here. Damned if he wasn't going to find out. And where better to perform a reading than right at the source? He'd consult the stones and cards tonight, for what it was worth.

Eclipse arrived in the library and walked over and pat Priscilla before making his way to his desk and pulled out the phone and power bill and worked through them. However while he was meant to be concintrating on that he wasnt, he wanted to become friends with the rat yet now, how could he? Could he truely trust the rat with his secret? After the stealing thoughts, no matter how small he couldnt help but second guess the idea...

The maid smiled at the rat and nodded "of course" she said as she whistled and several maids came in and started to clear the table. "Come but please take your time and be careful" she said, not wanting him to collapse or anything and made her way to the door and waited for the rat.

Ugh. Yeah. Blood loss. No running for a while, that'd be sure - which meant taking a jaunt around the grounds would probably be synonymous with death by sharp pointy teeth right around now... Nodding in thanks to the maid's suggestion, he followed her at a pace he felt comfortable at - hopefully one that wasn't quite decrepit... but he didn't feel like taking chances.

Those could wait 'til he got to whatever room had been designated for him. There were a couple readings Gideon planned on doing - on this place and its owner both, and he couldn't get to that until he had somewhere to sit down away from prying eyes.

Or minds...

Okay, maybe this wouldn't be as easy as he'd thought - not that he'd ever thought it'd be a walk in the park. Following the maid in silence for the rest of the way, he mulled over the ways to avoid supernatural notice.

The maid started up the stairs once she reached them and looked back at the other "sir, are you ok climbing up the stairs?" she asked him when she was half way and looked back at him. She knew he wasnt an invalid but still as he DID just have his blood sucked out of him she wasnt sure how weak he was to climb up stairs or anything.

Tilting his head to the side, Gideon looked at the stairs bemusedly. Hm. "It's not Everest~" he assured her, flashing a grin that was more weary than he'd intended it to be, "I'll live." Barely, he groaned inwardly before taking the first step, staying close to the banister just in case--hey, why bother with the banister? All he needed was his ca--bloody--

Wilting a little around the shoulders, the rat glanced back at the maid apologetically, "My cane... I left it in the living room? A bag should be there too... I... could we go back for it?" Stars above, he didn't want anyone else touching that thing...

The maid smiled and nodded "of course" she said as she walked back down the stairs and took hold of the other gently. "But please sir, lean on me, I swear I wont hurt you" she said as she made sure he was going to be ok before they carried on anywhere.

"My fear quotient's pretty exhausted for the day," Gideon said with a sort of grim cheer, reluctantly relenting to her support. "Just don't want to be a burden, is all..."

The maid smiled and helped the other down the stairs "it's alright, your not a burden, the master likes having company really though I suggest waiting before you did anything in this house. While you may go where you wish I just would like you to wait till tommorow if you have anything in mind as the master will wish to speak to you after you have both calmed down.

You might be rather..." she thought for a few moments then carried on after find what she believed was the right word. "...Surprised at what he has to say however what he tells you may I ask you never repeat, I am sure the master would like it if you did so and I would as well. It wont be anything terrible but I do believe you might have your questions answered tommorow but if you do anything to upset the master you wont get a single thing out of him.

So please, stay in your room for tonight and dont leave it or do anything I will get him to talk to you tommorow. I just dont wish for for him or yourself to be upset further by each other" she asked the other, hoping he would give her this one favor.

Gideon blinked bemused and contemplated reiterating the bit about the bite.

Poor naive thing.

"'m not planning on wandering, dear - you have no need to fear that," he said with a weary smile, "As for your master... I'm sure he's a puzzle. Then again, who isn't?" Shaking his head slightly, he looked sideways at her with a tilt of his head, "But I'm not going anywhere fast, I'll stay. For a bit."

The maid smiled and started towards the parlor with the other, keeping sure she had him. "Yes people can be a puzzle, even I havent quite figured out the master yet and I am the one who has been here the longest." She said to him, knowing that she looked only about twenty five but in reality she was about two hundred and fifty years olf (give or take a couple of years) as she to was a vampire.

Eclipse made her one though over the years she had forgotten the reason as to why Eclipse made her a vampire and so she never dwelled on wondering if she could remember said reason. "Thank you, I swear the master will speak to you tommorow but please, just tonight at least, get some rest" she said as she softly sighed, contiuing her way to the parlor with the other.

"Enh," said Gideon, noncomittally as they reached the parlor and he stepped away from her to retrieve his belongings. The cane would do for support rather than the maid - in many, far better ways. He preferred not to trust himself to others, not when it really mattered. Always made him feel guilty, not to mention a little incompetent.

Besides, he mused, there was really no way to trust anything in this house. Leaning on his cane and glancing back at the maid, his hand trailing up to lightly touch the bitemark, a muddled frown crossed his lips. "Do you let him do this often?" he questioned softly, moving slowly towards the door, cane thumping rhythmically as he walked.

The maid followed the other, staying by his side, not in case he needed to lean on her or anything just because she thought it was more polite to be beside him when they spoke instead of behind or in front of him. "I have to let him, I am nothing but a maid to him so I cant say to him to stop or not to do it or what not as it isnt my place. I cant say I approve of this but I have to let him" she said to the other as she thought about biting someones neck and just shuddered.

The maid wasnt someone who did that sort of thing, she always felt it wrong to take the blood from another unless they were willing to give it so she stuck to drinking blood from the supply they had in the cellar. It was refrigerated and bottled so she could keep to that instead of taking anothers blood.

"The problem I have mostly with the master is his other hobbies" she said without realising and quickly stopped, not wanting to let others know of her masters torture devices and the like that he classes as 'toys. She said to much as it was, she had to stop before she DID let that peice of information out and she had a feeling her master wouldnt exactly like that.

Besides it wasnt her place to tell was it? She just vowed loyatly to him no matter what but that was all she could remember of her past right now "anyway, as I said, I cant really stop him. If he wishes to do this then so be it, I dont control what he does, noone here does, you have seen what he is like and believe me he could get worse as well. Much worse" she said as she started to climb the stairs, needing to go talk to the fox once she was had made sure their guest was settled as that was most importantn right now.
