"Come, Father," Aruna said, feeling quite dull and resigned. Her father needed to exercise more. He also needed to see her mother, whom she herself wanted to see. But she needed her brother right now. Bairn might be younger, but he acted older than her sometimes, which she was grateful for. The past four months had been agony. On the outside, her sharp eyes had dimmed to a dull, emotionless mask and once beautiful, dark chocolate coat had dulled as well.
Hania frowned as he trotted next to his daughter. What was wrong with her? "I'm coming, love," he said, coughing slightly. He might have healed, but he was still slightly sick. He was eager to finally go and meet his mate, whom he had missed dearly, and had been saddened by the fact that he had not been able to visit her at all. He disliked it, however, that something was wrong with Aruna. Something had definitely happened to her that caused her to look so... He didn't even want to say it.
"Father?" Aruna asked, concerned when Hania coughed. That was... "Father, you're all right, aren't you?" Hania had gotten considerably better, but now quite. She guessed he had hidden it from her in his eagerness to go and meet Mahiri. "Father? Are you sure you really..." She paused, and rolled her eyes, although the way she looked probably made it look as if she was being humorless. She continued walking.

Rahu's ears twitched as he heared voices. three of them he knew and cringed. they where coming his way, and he did not know wether to leave where he was or just stay there. pawign the ground, he tryed to think of what to do. he did not need another scene with Aruna. especaly since her brother and mother from what he could tell where coming. starting to walk off, he hoped he was not caught by ether, Aruna or her brother.

Bairn wandered along side his mother still, just watching as she moved. He wanted to go off and find Aruna, or Rahu if he knew where she was. But the stallion didn't want to leave his mother alone, so he stayed with her. As soon as they found Hania, he'd leave. As the two of them walked, he didn't notice the familiar black stallion standing near.
But Mahiri did. "Ooh, look Bairn. It's your friend, Rahu! Hello Rahu!" She called out rather happily, rushing towards him. The fox mare giggled as she approached the dark male, "Have you seen my mate anywhere?" She asked him, completely forgetting that he didn't know who Hania was.
Yes, hello Rahu... thought Bairn as he watched his mother rush towards him. Aruna wasn't anywhere near him, neither was Hania. They needed to keep moving, they couldn't stay here long. Not in the mood to chat, Bairn stood there watching the two of them.

"Father?" Aruna turned toward her father, to see that he was walking quite slowly. "I hear voices. And one of them sounds like Mother's--" She was cut off as a rush of wind passed her, looking oddly like a light, golden-brown blur. "Hm?" She blinked, a little put off and startled. I guess Father really does miss her... Aruna didn't want to go after her father because she could tell Rahu's scent was there, and she relunctantly followed after her father.
Hania hadn't noticed the voices or scents until Aruna had said something. His stupid sickness was getting to him, too. When she told him, he had rushed off in a hurry. He really wanted to see Mahiri. As he entered the area, he saw his beloved mate, and his son, as well as a dark colored stallion. "Hiri?" he called to his mate, a bit unsure. The dark male was making him feel... unusual.
As Aruna ambled into the area, she whinnied softly, although everything about her seemed dimmed, unenthusiastic... and unsharp, like her usual self. She didn't seem to catch on to things as fast as she had before, either. "Bairn? Mother?" She questioned, voice devoid of any emotion. Usually, she allowed herself to show off her emotions to those she cared for; especially her family.

Rahu backed up a little from shock of Mahiri running up to him. giving a bow, to hide that shock, he then lifted his head. " ello Mahiri, and Bairn." he then blink at her for a moment. " no i have not, but i do beleive i never met you mate." thats when he noticed a stallion and Aruna come in when he heard them talk. seriously wanting to walk away, he just stood there calm and figured the stallion with Aruna was her father.

Bairn just stood there and grinned stupidly at the whole sight in front of him. Rahu seemed shock by the sudden appearance of Mahiri, and now Aruna and Hania were here. That was good, he thought, but longed for his other sister to be there as well. Artemis was never around, it pained him so much. The stallion chose not to say a word to either of the soquili's in front of him, but rather just watched. Aruna seemed very very upset, he could just tell. If she wanted to talk, he'd be here, if not...perhaps he'd go off and find Artemis.
"Hania? Hania?" Mahiri giggled, her spirit lifted up completely when she saw her mate run towards her. "Oh, my love, I've missed you so much!" The fox colored mare said loudly, moving towards him and nuzzling him softly. "Oh, where have you been? Are you alright, something seems wrong?" Mahiri talked very fast, excited to finally see Hania. She didn't really notice Aruna at that moment, and completely forgot about Bairn, but not Rahu. "Oh, Rahu, thank you. If I didn't stay and talk to you for a moment, I wouldn't have seen my mate!" She giggled, "This is my mate by the way, his name is Hania....Hania this is Rahu."

Aruna glanced at her brother, dull eyes questioning him, as if to say, I really want to talk, but... She glanced to her mother, smiling slightly even though her eyes remained dull. She then allowed her haunted gaze to wander over to Rahu. "Hello, Rahu," she greeted, voice cheerful but expression stone dead. Whatever was wrong with her, it seemed only Bairn would get to find out. "It's good to see you again..."
Hania, too, had forgotten about his children, but when Mahiri introduced Rahu, he nodded, somewhat stiffly, at the dark stallion. "A pleasure to meet you, Rahu." He semi-bowed, but it was slightly stubborn, and then he stood to nuzzle Mahiri. "Nothing's wrong, just small cold, that's all, dear. My love, how have you been? I hope my absense has not made you worry so!" He nuzzled her more, concern over her well-being overriding his protectiveness for his daughter, for the moment.

Rahu gave a bow to Hania to be polite and not to cause something. he really did not want to deal with a fight with Aruna." like wise Hania im sure." turning to Aruna, he kepted his eyes hidden from emotion. " ello, Aruna. and it is good to see you too." noticing Bairn being quiet, he wondered why. and Aruna too seemed differnt than usual, but he knew that was his fault.

Bairn smirked at the four of them. They all seemed to be acting strange, it made no sense. The whole situation, the environment made the stallion quite uncomfortable, for he too was acting strange after what happened with Astia. Life was difficult sometimes, he thought, and still kept in the background. The brown male just wanted to know what made life the way it was...what made everyone do what they did, or say what they said. It was a terribly stupid reason to get all upset over, but what was the purpose of life? Watching his family together, without Artemis tore him up inside. It was like a whole garden of delicious fruit trees and berry bushes, the only thing missing was in fact the food. And then there was Rahu....poor dear Rahu, he just didn't quite fit the picture Bairn was staring at. He was out of place, a misfit, he didn't belong. But it was like he NEEDED too, almost...almost...Bairn frowned, there was something wrong, but what? Deciding to keep quiet, he just stared.
Mahiri giggled happily again, she could barely contain her hyperness. Although her son had mentioned in more then a few times, she couldn't help but be very playfull. "Oh, Hania. I've missed you!" She repeated, trying to stop herself from a sudden 'hyper outburst'. "A cold? Oh, my love! A cold is not just nothing! It's everything! A cold...my poor dear..." She said with a goofy frown. "I've been good, our Bairn has been taking very good care of me. I don't worry too badly. But the question is, how are you?" The fox colored mare nuzzled her mate in return. Quickly remembering Aruna, she turned to her eldest daughter. "Aruna, darling!" She grinned. "How are you, my love? I've missed you too!" Oooh! This excitement was almost too much.

Aruna chuckled at her mother. "Playful as always, right, Mother? I hope Bairn isn't the one keeping you from your hyperness, even though both he and I can get exasperated with it." She smiled at her mother, happy to see her after such a long time. "I've missed you so much, Mother." She walked over to give her mother an affectionate nuzzle, then walked over to her brother. "I met a new Soquili, brother," she told him, trying to hide smile. Her eyes seemed to be the only thing that were totally unexpressive. "Her name is Astia. She's a very pretty mare." She then turned and walked over to Rahu, pretending she didn't see her brother uncomfortableness. She smiled at the stallion, though her heart ached badly as she stared at him. "How have you been the past four months? I'm surprised we met up so soon. Just like old times, hm?"
Hania frowned at the way Aruna was behaving. Nudging Mahiri, he whispered, "Don't worry too much about me, my love, but worry about Aruna. There has been something deathly wrong with her, and I fear for her mental state. Things seemed to be unstable, and she looks to be losing her sanity, or nearly. I worry. How is Artemis? I see that my son is doing fine." He stayed as close to Mahiri as he could; he had missed her presense so much... He didn't want to leave Miakoda, though; his bonded needed him, but he had the strange feeling he wouldn't get to see her in future times any longer. Shaking the thought of dark times ahead, he turned to busy himself with nuzzling his mate and watching the scene which would become a major event that he knew would change his childrens' lives.

Rahu felt way out of place among this group, since well they where all family members and he was not. swishing his tail he kept quiet and kind of looked about, hoping to be able to slip away when Aruna talked to him. " im been the same as usual Aruna. and i guess you could say that." on the inside this hole family sceen and being around Aruna tore him up.

The stallion wanted to escape, noticing Rahu wanted to as well, but he just couldn't. This was his family, they were hardly ever together, this was supposed to be 'happy moment', but it just wasn't. It was Aruna's attitude, she never acted like that. Showing a fake smile when she approached him, he said, "Really? Astia, yes I've met her too. She has a lot to learn about things." Bairn's thoughts were about to escape over to Astia until he heard his sister and Rahu talk. Standing in the same spot, he tried to listen as to what they were saying. Maybe this conversation would explain why everything felt so wrong.
Mahiri laughed loudly at her daughter. "Yes, yes I suppose I am. But that's because I'm now with your father! Don't worry, Bairn knows when to do that, and when not to." She said happily, returning her daughters nuzzle. "You so beautiful, my daughter." Turning to Hania, she frowned. "Our children are all so beautiful. They've grown much. I cannot wait to be a grandmother!" The fox mare giggled, then heard her mate's words, which made her attitude completely change. "What? Aruna? Her mental state? Oh my!" Mahiri glanced over at Rahu and Aruna, and wondered something. "Oh, Hania...I do believe she's just going through a terrible heartbreak. Things will get better, if not...well then I will worry." She told her mate softly, trying to cheer her up. She knew her children very well, and knew how to handle things like most mothers. "Yes, your son is doing well...although he too seems to be having some problems lately. And about Artemis, I haven't seen her recently, but she's better then ever. That human treats her well, I'm glad to say." Mahiri didn't want to worry about her youngest daughter either, that would only bring more troubles to this family. That was the last thing the fox mare wanted.

"Good to hear, Rahu," she said, ignoring everything that seemed to be negative. "I've been fine, as you can tell." Why was she being cheerful? "Would you and my brother come with me? I'll let my parents catch up with each other. They haven't seen each other in a long time." She smiled at her parents, whinnying to let them know she was moving to a more private place. "Bairn, come with us!" Aruna said, urging her brother. "Mother and Father will be fine! Father will protect Mother." It was true. But she knew her mother knew what she was up to. "By the way, Mother, I only take after you in beauty." She grinned, chuckling a bit, and then turned to leave the area.
"...I'm quite curious what you mean, my love," Hania said, watching his children leave with the stallion. "What do you mean by heartbreak? I'd rather Aruna never go through such a troubled phase..." Hania could admit that he had never had such a troubling mental state, however mares he liked, he still knew who was going to be his chosen mate. He nuzzled Mahiri. He was never really good at those matters anyway. "I don't like this, Hiri. I don't like that black stallion. Somehow, I get the feeling he's the one that caused Aruna's... behavior..." He rested his head over his mate's back. "All this worry has gotten me sick. I suppose I should stop and just listen to your advice, eh?" he nipped her teasingly. "Artemis... I wish we could see our youngest daughter again. It's been... far longer than I would have ever wished for our family to be seperated."

Rahu nodded and folded shilently. walking besided to two, he really did not know what Aruna was planning to do. flickign his talk as he walked, did he really want to know what was going to happen next? and he knew her father most likey did not like him, but that was omething he did not care about.

His ears perked up when Aruna called his name and he slowly nodded. Perhaps this was what he was waiting for, he needed to know what was going on. "Alright...coming." He said calmly, trotting behind Rahu and Aruna as they walked. Where was she taking them, and what was going to happen? Turning to look back at his parents, Bairn suddently wished he had stayed with them.
Mahiri nodded at Aruna. "Ha! If only that was the truth!" She giggled, turning her attention back to Hania. "I'm quite sure something happened between her and dear Rahu. I mean, just look at the way they act towards eachother. Whatever happened is making her this way." The fox mare nodded slowly, nuzzling her mate back. "Don't worry..." She said calmly, "Rahu is probably the cause, but not intential. I met the guy, I like him. And so does Bairn. If our son likes somebody, then he'd definatly got to be good enough." The mare joked, nipping Hania in return. "Yes, you should listen to the mother of your children. And it's not Artemis's fault, it's her human's. Kaliska doesn't really have her around the teepee very often. I agree it's been to long, but there is nothing we can do."
