#1 blushed, "Well I'm kind of underage for drinking. Not sure about my buddy here. In fact...did you ever have any experience with an alcoholic beverage?" he said eyeing Rin with a suspicious look.

Allen intered the bar, looking somewhat sheepish. He didn't like bars - they always smelled and the people did weird things. He quickly located Rin and #1. He reached out and tugged the sleeve of the closest one, pointing back towards the door. There had been some trouble in the cassino and the boss wanted everyone. Allen wasn't sure what the trouble was, but he had been sent as the messenger - something he found exceedingly ironic - because of his apparent uselessness, or so he thought.

Rin looked nervous for the first time since he'd arrived. He wasn't entirely sure he could remember to stay on the ground if he danced, and after that conversation, it would be obvious to anyone listening what was going on. He really would have loved it if he didn't have to watch out for #1.
Luckily for him, Allen's interruption came at just the right time.

He mimed again at the door, not sure if Rin could sign. Probably not. He didn;t know the boy. He'd seen him around occasionally, but had never talked with him. Well, how could he? he reminded himself, hitting himself in the head mentally for being so stupid. But he signed anyway.

#1 looked down and saw Allen, "What is it? Is there something going on at our casino?" He looked over at Rin, "We have to go." He bowed slightly at the stranger, "Thanks for your time, sir, my name Lance. We'll see you later." He followed Allen out the door with Rin.

"You don't speak?" Rin asked stupidly. Seeing the boy frowning as he lingered in his own thoughts, Rin thought it was his fault. "Listen, buddy, it's all right... I'm, sorry." He felt totally helpless. Helpless-looking creatures tended to do that to him, so inversely. He snapped out of it as #1 dragged him off again.

He smiled, releived. At least one of them had understood. He turned to the other... Rin, was he called? and smiled appologetically, pointing to his throat with a finger before he swept that same finger across his throat in the commonly used "no" or "death" symble.

"Allen can't speak Rin. He's mute, I'm not sure if he was born with it, but all I know is that he can't talk. It's not your fault," he said plainly. #1 looked down and shrugged at Allen. He thought to himself, "Hey...maybe I could give him a voice...or would Allen really want something like that?" #1 frowned, but continued to follow Allen, "Anyway, he works with me at the Aladdin casino."

Rin, a naturally boisterous person/genie, could not even imagine what that would be like. He looked at #1, and back at the kid. "Don't you wish he could speak, #1?" he ventured, quietly. #1 didn't seem to hear him, or was ignoring him. "Do you think that I could work there, too? I think I'd fit in," he laughed.

((Ahh... I forgot... Dx Rin's the genie, no? So I'm not sure if Allen would have seen him or not... so nix on what I said about him havig seen Rin before... sorry.... >.>; wink )
He frowned, looking at Rin again, and then back to #1. he signed, looking confused. He hadn't known of anyone new coming to the casino, but there were always many things he didn't know. They were almost at the casino...

((lol, yea Rin is #1's genie, he granted him one wish so far))
#1 looked over and smirked, "Definatly, with your attire, I'd say you'd be the next entertainment for the kids. Yet again, kids rarely come, because this usually isn't the type of place for them. So you'll probably have to be careful..."he sneekered and teased Rin. "I would hate to see my genie working as a stripper or something worse."

Allen looked confused. But genies didn't exist. It was as simple as that. And Allen didn't beleive in any type of magic - not even a "god." He looked again at the boy, noting his strange clothes. He frowned, not liking this feeling of not knowing anything.

"A... HEY!" Rin exclaimed, nearly vaulting into the air. After a second he calmed down. "#1... the kid is mute, not deaf. Will he notice you called me a genie?" he whispered nervously.

"Ah..I forgot!" he whispered back, and laughed nervously. "I mean, my old friend who use to work at that old bank company 'Genie'. Sorry man, I completely forgot about your old nickname," #1 said trying to dismiss the fact he called Rin a genie.
