Rai's heart was torn in two. To see Lance with Nanya she knew that he cared for the woman deeply, maybe even loved her, but how was she to tell?
But at the same time..she knew that Lance DID care for the woman, and that he had not meant to harm her... Rai could do only one thing, act as if nothing had happened. It hurt for her to do so..but she did not know what else to do.
"Nanya..if you proimse not to kill me.." it was said with lighthearted ness, but the strian in her voice could be heard too well, "I'll heal your wounds..."

Nanya glared at Rai over Lance's shoulder. "I don't want you near me." Lance tried to pull away from Nanya, but she still held him. " Lance you know what?"
He slightly smiled, and thought she'd say something that was of her personality, but he was very mistakened. "I'm sorry I didn't kill when I had the chance. Darklighter!" Nanya whispered quickly.
The darklighter lifted it's archers bow (dang...I forgot what those things were really called!!!) and shot it at Rai.
With the vampire forgetting that Whitelighters could orb, he let Nanya go and got in the way of the arrow, it getting him straight through the heart. The vampire fell upon his knees as the arrow pushed through his heart and through the front of his chest.
"NO!!" Nanya yelled, running to her love. Lance fell back on his knees, pain shooting through his body with the poison spreading, not taking its full effect on him as it would a Whitelighter.

"NO!!" Rai said rushing forward. "Lance!" she fell to her knees beside him, pulling him into her lap. She looked down at him.. anger filling her eyes. Too quickly for her to know what it was that she had done, She glared at Nanya then the darklighter. Raiseing her hand swiftly, she looked aorund
Seeing a burned away peice of couch she called "Stick!"
It orbed to her hands, then INTO the darklighter ((hope you dont mind sad )) .
Then her gaze, filled with hatred, turned to nanya. her voice was soft, and deadly.
"I'll never forgive you if he dies."

((LMAO. I'm sorry, but I couldn't help it! *still lmao*))
Nanya now pulled Lance into her lap, glaring at the darklighter. "Better him dead than me seeing you in his arms."
The vampire's eyes tiredly looked up at his servants face. "You betrayed me." He whispered.
"I didn't. I did it for us..." The blood was spewing from the back and front.
Nanya placed her hand on the arrow.
"No ma petite...I'll bleed faster..."
Nanya looked at the Darklighter again. "If you shoot me, I can't give him the blood that he needs. My firey blood heats him and somehow gives him more power than it would a normal person."
((oh man...I can't help it, but I feel like killing Lance off. Not to make you mad, but to get a good plot!! haha, I don't know whether I'll kill him...still thinkin' about it.... sweatdrop ))

"I can heal him if you let me!" Rai screamed in terror. To loose Lance?! to have him die...
"Please! he means so much to both of us!" rai looked down at lance, teh blood. maybe her way would work..but if it was affecting Lance this much..it may kill her too, "What if the arrow kills you too? I can heal him without any consiqunce to myslef! Please let me!"

It wasn't the poison doing much as the damage as the blow to the heart. The arrow basically worked as a thin stake. But since Lance was dead and 'supposedly' immortal and in a way, so was a whitelighter, some of the ingredients of the poison was harmful to him.
Nanya looked at Rai who was still in the Darklighter's body (you forget?). Slow tears were falling down her face. "How can he mean something to you? You met him tonight."
Lance slowly spoke. "Let her heal me....I feel the sun rising moment-tarily...if it takes my soul at rising...I will surely die..." ((you know what I mean with the whole Anita B. books. She said the soul left the body when the sun rose. well not soul but w/e keep vamps. alive.))
Nanya lightly stroked Lance's cheek. "I'll let her if you promise to never touch her again."
Lance coughed up blood. "I'm your master..." He coughed more. "Nanya, please..."
Nanya looked up at Rai. "No...you can't come close to him if you heal him and continue to be with him after doing it."

Rai looked at Lance, the hurt in her heart was almost more than she could bare.
She was a whitlighter.
She was not alllowed to Love.
But she did, and could not let him die.
"I will heal him." rai said, her heart bleeding as much as lances was." And i will never touch him again..." She raised her head to Nanya, and Smiled in the only way she knew how, with kindness. "I only hope you can forgive me for seeing who he really is."
then she looked at Lance.
"I can not make this desiscion alone. I need your permission first, Lance."

Nanya didn't know what Rai had meant by her finding who he truelly was.
The woman nodded, looking down at Lance.
"She needs you permission..."
He nodded. "Do it...quickly." His eyes slowly closed, but he wasn't dead...yet.

Rai rushed to his side, as fast as she could go. Her hand glowed, as much healing in her as she had she placed in her spell.
After a while, she had enough to work with to orb the arrow out of the vampires flesh. After a few more seconds, she had the posion cleared from his system.
As she finished the healing by sealing the wounds, she felt the vampire soul slowly leaveing with the sun.
She whispered to him, and tears fulling here eyes. " Forgive me."
a single tears fell onto his cheek and she back away, her work done.
"He is completely healed", rai said, her voive full of sadness."And i will never touch him again."
And she waited.

"Tell Rai I said thank you..."Lance whispered into Nanya's mind before his soul was taken with the rising sun.
Nanya debated in her mind on whether to tell Rai, but she figured she could since she had caused all of this. "Lance...he told me to tell you thank you...he told me in my mind..." she said, not even looking up at the whitelighter, but at the beautiful face that was smeared with blood.
She wanted to make it look perfect again. "Get me a rag..." Nanya would've done it herself, but she didn't want to leave Lance in the same room alone with Rai. Not ever again for any reason. Not even if he was 'sleeping'. Her trust was gone.

Rai nodded, slowly, and went to search the rooms of the house for rag to clean up with. She could sense Nanyas untrust, and she understood it.
"Okay."

* A day had passed since the cemetary incident. When Chase had battled Lance and defeated him. But after that had happened he discovered a whitelighter named Rai and another girl who seemed sick. The whitelighter asked if CHase could take care of the girl for a few days until she got back, but Chase was tired of waiting. He summoned himself to the Underworld with a spell to search for the " angel" . ONce in the Underworld, he could feel the girl was near, but there was also something else. Something he had felt before." Surely, she didn't go after Lance, did she?" Chase hastily sprinted towards the aura of the whitelighter. He found a cave that surely contained the girl. As he walked in, a couple of demons that guarded the cave attacked. They all conjured a fireball and threw it at him, which formed into a mega fireball. Chase made a freezing notion with his hands, and the enlarged fireball stopped in its tracks. His eyes flickered in the flame and the fireball once again became many fireballs. He flung his hand and they all flew back at his predators. He ran past their ashes on into the cave. The cave went on for awhile until he came to a door. He ran at it with his hand open and the door flung open. He now saw what he had been feeling earlier." It's that treacherous snake, Nanya and..." He paused as he saw the vampire on the ground bleeding. He yelled to Nanya," Where have you taken the girl named Rai ?! "

Nanya slowly picked her head to look up at Chase. "I've done nothing to the b***h. She's around here somewhere." The servant was still waiting for Rai to bring her the rag so she could clean the blood from the vampires face. The damage around the room was in a few spots where it was obvious that fires had started. The couch was gone with a huge black pile of dust and small peices of what was left was scattered about the area. A long whinding line was mark against the wall from where her fire rope had traveled. And Lance's door was blown away from it's hinges, charred and black against the far wall. The room looked a mess.

"What the hell happened here?', Chase replied as he observed the room filled with burnt spot all over the place. " Did someone attack?" He also questioned," And why are you so mad at Rai that your calling her a b***h?"
