lol...our entire Horn section has named their instruments. The first thing we do with new members each year is make them name their instrument. Edna's horn is named Silver, Angellica's Horn is named Patches, Angella's horn is named Dentine, and my horn is named Penny. They all have stories behind them. I will just tell you mine though...It was named penny cause it cost a pretty Penny...lol. Uhg, penny cost $4000! now let me tell you...that was alot of hamburgers i flipped that year! lol

What a concept! Naming your instrument. My friends and I used to get bored in band and so we named our clarinets after people we liked. It was kinda weird though. So we abandoned that. And I haven't got a name for it...YET. Although, we all know that the case is the best part, right? (jkjk, sorry inside joke) whee

(or in other words, my clarinet) Is Officially the most stubborn Fork in the world....I mean cummon...A clarinet should be better with pudding than a trumpet....we had to name ours in my cabin....I was the official instrument namer of that band camp...good times...good times....*goes into memories, then gets lost*

I love all your guy's names for your instruments. I was seriously thinking hard about naming my clarinet in band today (as we sat there most of the time because the director was working with the trumpets) and I have temporarily settled on Cabaret (it kinda sounds French, if you ask me). It's from an inside joke in band. We were talking about camisoles and how the girls have to wear white ones underneath their uniforms. Then we moved on to talk about something else. Five minutes later, this guy's hand shot up and when called on, he's all, "What's a cabaret?" We all had no idea what he was talking about until the director asked if he meant camisole. When he was all, "Oh yeah," the whole entire band cracked up. It was so hilarious. biggrin xd You had to have been there...*also goes back into good memories and gets lost*
*finds a map of memories and finds the way back* BUT, we all know that the CASE is the best part...right??? Come one, you guys! You know it! You're just afraid to say it. biggrin

THE CASE IS THE BEST!!! I know you all probably think I'm psyhco or something, but really, I am perfectly sane! And Cabaret agrees, the case that encloses it is absolutely the best thing in its life. Yes, I think we all owe our cases a big thank you. I mean, how would we carry around our instruments? In plastic bags??? In our backpacks??? Don't think so. Anyway, think about that...
