Hadrian hadn't actually considered the possibility that he wasn't going to be helping, so the enthusiasm behind his response was immidiate.
"Absolutely!"

"You really are wonderful, Hadrian." She squeezed his hand shyly. "Thank you so much."

"You're welcome." Hadrian answered, trying hard not to give in to the urge to look down at his toes instead of at her. He wasn't used to recieving compliments like 'you are wonderful', and they made the extremely outgoing feien feel oddly shy.
"I think it'll be great fun, there are whole bunches of vegetables to choose from."

"When can we begin? Where do we go to find them?" Plan settled on, Galatea was energized, practically buzzing with direction and purpose.

"We can see what my mom has first." Hadrian offered. "Usually you have to buy them. And we'd need money to buy them. Or you can collect them from plants at the right time of year...but that's in the fall I think."
He smiled widely, "We can go now if you want." Then he paused and glanced at the window, "Uhm...after it stops raining?" He added hopefully.

She nodded in immediate agreement; she knew how the rain bothered him. "Of course. Let's stay in here where it is dry." Galatea looked down at her hand in his and smiled a bit before half-tugging him towards the edge of the shelf. Then she released her hold on him. "We could watch television or read or talk. Would you like something to eat or drink?"

"Lets talk! I want to find out how you've been." He said, trotting in the direction she tugged him, ""And I went to the beach!"
Eyes on her and not looking where he was going, he ended up tripping on the edge of the shelf and toppling forward, "I want to tell you about...eep! "
It was a good thing she had let go of his hand. He squeaked as he toppled into thin air, and managed to catch himself before falling to very far, fluttering.

Within a heartbeat of his fall, Galatea had launched herself over the edge and only pulled back when she saw that he had caught himself. Nonetheless, her hand went out and she gripped his tightly, fluttering next to him. Her face was pale beneath her usual olive tones. "Be -careful-, Hadrian," she whispered, breathless. Her eyes wide, it was clear that he had given her a start.

((Hadrian = no luck, Galatea = great luck. XD))

It was clear that Galatea was more concerned then Hadrian about his fall. He was actually more startled by her reaction, then by tripping off the bookshelf. He was quite used to being just a bit clumsy, and stumbling off of things didn't really cause much trouble if you could fly, and remembered that you could before you hit the ground.
He looked, slightly wide eyed, at her hand clutching his so tightly. "Oh dear...I didn't mean to scare you...I mean...I didn't mean to fall either."

He smiled a very small, and hopefully reassuring, smile, "I'm just kind of clumsy, sometimes."

((Heh, actually, Galatea has lousy luck, too, but she's got GREAT reflexes/smarts/strength so she rarely gets hurt.))

"Clumsy or not, I'm glad you're not hurt." Galatea studied his face closely for a moment. Seeing whatever she had hoped for, she nodded a bit and released his hand. "I don't ever want you hurt."

((oh dear, they BOTH have terrible luck? DOOM XD))

"Don't worry, I'm pretty good at catching myself when I fall." She seemed so earnest about it, he felt like he ought to hug her or something to prove that he was in fact all right. He wasn't sure that would be the right thing to do to help the situation though.
"I guess I'd be just as upset, if you fell off the bookshelf," He mused aloud to himself, as if there were a realisation.

"You would?" Galatea blushed at that, pleased in some strange way. Not that she ever wanted to worry him but the knowledge that he would... It made her feel warm and happy. Trying to cover her sudden stomach flutters, she motioned back towards her house, standing on the table they had abandoned earlier. "Should we go back now?" she asked quietly.

"Oh, sure. You still have to tell me what you've been doing." He answered, grinning and starting to regain his previous enthusiasm for the idea.
Now that he was thinking about it though, he realised he really could easily see himself jumping to catch Galatea if she has tripped off the shelf. Of course she wouldn't, she was a great deal more graceful then he was. But the realisation was an interesting one. Not disconcerting at all, just interesting, like it tends to be when you notice something about yourself you hadn't before.

"Of course. But only if you tell me what you've been doing, too." Galatea managed a neat turn in the air and headed for the table. Back to him, she prayed that her face would be less-flushed when they landed once more. She could feel the heat in her cheeks. What was -wrong- with her?

((Should we wrap up soon on this part of the arc?))

((I actually think, unless you want to write out then telling each other every little thing they've been doing that this is a cute place to end. XD Although I kind of DO want to hear Galatea tell Hadrian about her magic lessons and self defense class with Silva XD))
