Seen the episode, loved it immensly.

"Watch out for the disinfectant!"
"What was that?"
"The disinfectant!"
"What?"
"The dis-- Oh, you'll find out..."

For some reason, that seemed to be my favorite part... XD

And I've got to give props to Billie Piper for not laughing like a maniac when Cassandra took over the Doctor. rofl

xd i loved the disinfectant part too! aah... and i bet there are some outtakes somewhere with billie laughing! xd i know i wouldnt be able to keep a strieght face for the 1st take or so.... rofl

Right, I've got it. The infected people were infected with all the diseases. The doctor took the cures to what? all the diseases. Then mixed them together and made a cure for all the diseases. The reason they couldn't do this for other stuff was because you don't give someone aspirin if they've got plague do you? Bad example, I know. But hey, it's a valid hypothesis.

In the old days the docotor would have had to answer to the high council...'cept of course those occasions when he was actually running it...but now that he's the last time lord in existence what's to stop his naked ambition running unchecked t and causing him to assume the mantle of a god with the smiting and the vengeance and the harnessing of the temporal vortex for purposes both nefarious and foul? O_o

Jettrick- The Doctor never went running to the High Council. He has always played the Highest Authority wherever he goes, that's why the Time Lords put him on trial for meddling.

Actually, Jettrick was mentioning that the Doctor ran (not ran to) the High Council, basically referring to the fact that the Doctor became President of the High Council (during the Davison era).

The Time Lords have, in the past, performed actions that suggest they view themselves as the caretakers of the universe (like when they sent the Doctor to prevent the creation of the Daleks). Now that he's the last of his people, does this mean the Doctor has taken up this role for himself? Or was the "there is no higher authority" line really just a bluff?

There were lots of funny lines scattered about the show. Another one I liked was...

Doctor: Nice place. No shop downstairs; I'd have a shop. Not a big one, just a shop, so that people can... shop.
Sister Jatt: The hospital is a place of healing.
Doctor: Well a shop does some people a world of good. Not me. Other people...
