Well, all those enchantments are very pretty, but with a crystalline sliver and a cuople of ward slivers... well... not target of spells or abilities and protection from two colors? That is kindda too much, right?

you all have forgotten about the greatest and most useful sliver yet Crystalline Sliver, as long as its out, they cant be targeted by spells or abilities, it may stop magmas ability, but at least they wont die from most all of the combos and such everyone here has named. Oh, and since the "All slivers gain blah blah blah" dosent target just that one sliver(actually, if you want ta get technical, it dosent target anything) they still will get all abilities given to them by other slivers.Crystalline Sliver is the answer to combos against them, and at the cheap cost ofone white and one blue, Im not compainin.

Kiyo Angelfire kashosonic22 For magic, your deck should revolve around a type that can help itself (E.G. Slivers, Zombies) or a specific ability. I've run a sac modular creatures to a rust elemental then skeleton shard them back to your hand for next turn. My favorite was my white vigilence deck. Now I run an Ultimate Defense combo. Red/White, a few reds that can burn and a few reds that can block all creatures, then Sandswim (White) which allows a creature to not deal nor recieve combat damage. To beat slivers a cheap thing to do is use Damping Matrix, it turns them into useless 1/1, 3/3's and the like. This was in a topic not to long ago at the table top threads. I want you to mostly look at the bottum of this post. Damping matrix can not beat slivers... Can not. Most Sliver abilities are mana activated which still means the Sliver Queen Combo works. And stil lShifting Sliver... or winged sliver.. your a** is still grass. Slivers were made to be the ultiamte creatures in the game. I don't beleive they can be stopped once the combo starts going. they acctuly sound kinda useless.......if they power each other uo then just get rid of them before the other guy can put them on the field right?......if not then just ignore me. I've never seen a silver

right on Stryder_Knight, but to stop your little whip out cards, all it takes is a couple couter spells, i got 6 in my deck and they have help me out of many situations, especially when i used Isochron Scepter(dont no more, deck got big and fat, so i had ta take it appart and rebuild back to 60 cards.)

Actually on a true technical basis, something targeting one specific thing is different from something local and/or global. Such as playing a global creature kill like wrath of god for instance. It doesn't target a specific one but just everything on a general basis, so even if they have protection from white lets say, like you threw down a Ward Sliver or something, they would all still die because it is a global spell and not targeting individually. Another example of this would be to play a Plague Wind on someone with Akroma out. Although, she is Pro black, she is still affected from it because it is a local kill spell.

However there is this one combo I thought of that might actually make me use Slivers, it changes their type into artifacts and/or in addition to their creature type already; throw that down with a Darksteel Forge and you're ready to kick some a**. If I remember the name of it I'll redirect this post unto the combo thread.
