Two school last year did Chronometry...one fo them was our "sister school" (ie the school built because our school got too full, and so we in turns hate them and love them for being new and prettier than us.) My freshman year we did a show called "Earth,Wind, and Fire" too, but I swear to god it wasn't funk. Because my BD refuses to do anything approaching popular music. He likes to be different. Like this year we performed "The Music of Scott Hanson"--with No DRUMLINE, and our pit ON THE FIELD. Although my jazzband jsut performed "What is Hip" the other day. biggrin
I don't knwo the full ttle of our show for next year, but the opener is called "Visions". It's...interesting. And it has this one part that goes "3/4 bar, 2/4 bar, 3/4 bar, 2/4 bar, 3/4 bar, 4/4." I feel so bad for the freshman.

Hm... Our show isn't really a conventional show. It's more like a story called "Teenage Rights of Passage". It is basically a show showing life as a high school student and such. We don't really know much about the music yet because it hasn't been written yet but I can tell it's going to be amazing xd

We have two set shows for football games (we only go to competitions every other year, and last year we went. However, we don't do marching competitions, but we sweep everything else we're in.). We have a Van Halen show (Jump, Dance the Night Away, Panama, and Runnin with the Devil.) and then a show with 70s music (With stuff like Holiday Road, Go All the Way, etc.). But the drills are written as such that we can mix up the tunes if we want.

My band director's not so creative. Last year we did a classical show. The most exciting thing about that was William Tell. -___- This upcoming year we're doing a Queen show, so it should rock. Bohemian Rhapsody, The Bicycle Song, Fat Bottomed Girls, We Are the Champions, and maybe Another One Bites the Dust.

ours is zorro! biggrin YAY! sounds like fun. apparently the music and the moves are hard, but my band director says he won't make more positions like he did last year and the sucky people just won't march. and apparently there's trumpet solo(s) *ears perk up*

We're doing three pieces composed by Samuel R Hazo. Our opener is a song called Olympiada (we played this in concert band and the percussion section LOVES it), then comes the ballad which is Each Time You Tell Their Story, and our closer is Ride. 3nodding http://www.samuelrhazo.com/

We're doing CARMEN the opera...yeah....
Dunno how we're going to pull that off....but its probably going to incorporate lots of the woodwinds dancing, like we did last year. For GHOST TRAIN.

We played Back in Black last year for the senior show! (The show where the seniors choose four tunes from their freshman year. The Head Senior Squad Leader, who's a bit like a drum major in a way, leads the band.)
