surprised my high school is currently doing a production of Beauty and the Beast!
I'd say PoTO is a most extreme version of both Beauty and the Beast and The Hunchback of Notre Dame... gonk Cause if they were the same, Quasi and the Beast would be crazy murderers!
surprised But that's sexy for Phantom.
Just saying, I agree that the stories are very similar.

Eric_the_Phantom Elven Foxx OH OH!! AND HIS CAPE!!! blaugh Well Darth Vader has a cape...where's a "full black mask" (like ERik in the book)...except nobody falls in love with him. ...damn.
But Luke's mom fell in love with him >> (totally spazzing on her name now) so in a way I suppose that would count.

Elven Foxx Im watching Beauty and the Beast right now. And I just realized! Its like Phantom, but the way us fans whant it to turn out. Gaston=Raoul. Hes like they way we want him. Abnoxious and rude, so christine dosn't like him. Belle=Christine. A good singer, and falls in love with the beast. Beast=Erik. Has anger problems. Is seen as ugly. But Belle loves him anyway. The tea kettle and tea cup= They remind me of Meg and Mme.Giry whee Phillipe (the hosrse)= I love phillipe. Just wanted to say that. Silly horsie! blaugh heart Thats a lie! Christine loves Raoul scream

I must agree to that theory... Also in the beast himself, he cursed to show his true human form ... also Christine is A LOT smarter as Belle, but that's just me sweatdrop
