The full body flinch that occurred when Vilenius snapped at her was almost painful. But…he didn’t seem…there was not…recognition. Not like whens he had met up with Pyrrhus. It hadn’t…the…reunion that time hadn’t been a bad one, surprisingly, but this? This felt different. And honestly, it was so much later, and in such different circumstances…she felt different. It didn’t matter if it was a good different or not, but she had changed.
Kemi had started letting people in. Had been quite successful at it, if she did say so herself. She had friends, not just allies.Things had gone well with Pyrrhus, and there was no reason that she couldn’t…turn this around too. Maybe. Hopefully.

Drawing in a breath that did little to calm her, Kemi nodded towards the bridge. To the fight.
“There is a battle to be fought, Vilenius, will you fight by my side? I will do what I can to keep you safe if you can try to do the same for me? This is a situation that makes it seem wise to not go alone.”
And with her half baked assessment of the crowd, there was not anyone else who she knew. Alcor would have been a boon but, alas.
