[Avari Fusion] vs Rex Kobra

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari shook his head for a moment and tried to regain his awareness, he had taken a bit of a beaten from Rex so far in this match. Not even knowing what was going on he rolled and started to get to his feet, leaving Kobra nothing but mat to land on!

 

[Undead Superstar]

Rex landed on the mat and sat up, arching his back. He winced in pain and though he enjoyed the feel of the punishment of the mat, his smile did not return. No. No more mirth for Avari Fusion after he laid boot on his sister. Instead, Kobra seethed through the pain and thought of what he would continue to do to the young Fusion.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari turned to face his opponent after feeling a thud on the mat, and a thought came over him - he narrowly escaped something there.

But he felt like he was being hunted, and that .. that just couldn't continue the entire match. Fusion turned to face his opponent, pushing through the pain and pounding in his head.

"One day.. one day soon I'm going to be World Heavyweight Champion.. and today I will face, and defeat, my demons.."

Avari waited for Rex to stand, ready to fight this until he could no longer stand.

 

[Undead Superstar]

Rex stood and glared at the would be hero. Something about his words made his smile return. He laughed and stepped forward.

"You want demons, boy. I can oblige."

The lights went out for a couple moments, plunging the arena into darkness. When they came back on, they were red, making the arena look like it had descended into hell. Surrounding the ring, were all 13 of Kobra's cultists dressed in their standard robes and hoods that obscured their faces.

"And lo, The Serpent has heard you and provided. You want demons, here they are to witness your destruction."

Kobra would laugh again before trying to deliver a solid kick to Avari's gut.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

The lights shut off and came back on, hell had ascended to earth, and Avari looked shocked. He looked around him, around the ring, and behind him. Cloaked figures surrounded him on all sides, and he had no way out.

He turned to face his adversary, and felt a harsh kick to the gut. He doubled over holding his stomach, as his vision went a little blurry, and now he was staring at the boots of Kobra, crimson light flickering off them.

Rex could see his victory well at hand. Not wanting to waste any time, he would try to grab Avari by the back of the head and hold it while he aimed to try and bring his knee up into the smaller man's face.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari tries to shake off that dizzy feeling, but instantly takes a knee to the face. His body goes to naturally fall backwards but Rex is holding him, keeping him on two feet.

Fusion drops to a knee, a trickle of blood seeping from his nose. The crowd in the arena begin to jeer heavily, with several younger audience members choosing to look away at this point.

 

[Undead Superstar]

Rex delighted in holding on the Avari. Holding his head, he would attempt to send another knee to his face, letting go if it connected this time, just so the crowd could see their hero down on the mat one more time.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

The second knee connected and Avari went backwards, nothing to catch him this time, except the hard and unforgiving canvas of the squared circle. His head spun as that trickle of blood from his nose began to flow stronger this time, accented well by the crimson lights above the ring and around the arena.

Several shouts came from the audience,


"Let's go, ******** you, Rex!"

"Fusion! Fusion! Fusion!"


Avari stirred a little but didn't move too much as the ref came over. He looked just as worried by the antics going on as anyone else, but he checked to make sure that The Man of the Hour was at least conscious and breathing.. yeah, he was all okay, but definitely had a light concussion at the least.

 

[Undead Superstar]

Rex strolled over to Avari and in an act of conceit, put his boot on Avari's chest in an attempt to pin Avari in the cockiest manner ever.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari looked up to see a big boot coming down upon his chest. He reached up in a futile attempt to stop it, but alas it was no help.

The ref dropped to the mat, counting..


One!

Two!


Avari, somehow, from somewhere, finds the energy and power to turn his shoulder. The crowd erupt into cheers, the fight continuing, even with the odds stacked against their favourite!

 

[Undead Superstar]

Rex pulled his boot from Avari and stared dow in disbelief. He backed up and looked out at his cult with a look that asked "Can you believe this?". Looking back to his opponent, he paused a moment before running to the ropes and trying for a running senton one more time.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari lays there and doesn't move too much, that trail of blood now across his neck and chest. He doesn't see the predator coming for him, and it's too late as Rex is over him with a senton..

The wind is completely knocked out of him, as he coughs and splutters, rolling on to his side and clutching his ribs once more. He bangs his head lightly on the canvas as the pain continues..

How much longer could this go on for?

 

[Undead Superstar]

Kobra got up and looked out at his believers as the crowd continued to boo him. He reveled in it. Looking back to his opponent, he would try to grab him and bring him back to his feet, before attempting to guide him to and lean him over the top rope.

If he managed to get him into position, leaned over and facing the crowd, he would bring a finger to his lips to hush the crowd. Before trying to bring down a massive chop to Avari's back.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Avari wasn't able to fight back as he was dragged over to the ropes, almost hanging off the top one. The crowd instantly jeered as Kobra tried to get them to quieten, their volume getting even louder than before.


Slap!


The sickening sound of the chop against bare skin made some of the crowd go quiet, others shouting and hurling abuse at Rex.
