Nuke began to chuckle before the swift shot to the head knocked him back to the mat again.
He groaned a little and tried to start sitting up.

Drako gets to his feet and decides to try catching Nuke in a front facelock, attempting to pull him up into a quick vertical suplex

Nuke was soon almost eating his own words as he was yanked up by his neck and slammed down with a quick suplex. He groaned a little and tried to roll back on to his front, then towards his feet.

Drako gets to his feet again and finds Nuke once again attempting to get back up. That suits him just fine at this point. Once Nuke is up, Drako would attempt to take his head off with a superkick

Getting to his feet a little groggy, Nuke's head was very very close to coming off his neck. He dropped and rolled just in the nick of time, deciding to roll out of the ring under the bottom rope for a breather.
The crowd let out an 'Oooh' at just how close that shot had come!

Drako might be a bit peeved at that, but if Nuke thinks he's safe outside of the ring, he's rustier than anyone thought. Drako advances to the ropes and would quickly slingshot himself over the top, aiming for a crossbody plancha to take him to the floor. He was the Soaring Dragon, after all

Welp, Nuke clearly wasn't thinking straight and had just left a big opening for his opponent. Drako soars through the air with grace and catches Fusion, leaving him sprawling on the outside mats, his head hitting the barricade a little.

Drako gets to his feet, letting out a breath as he does. Those high flying moves did take something out of him too, not that he could afford to let that show. He's got more to do here. He goes to pull Nuke up and roll him back into the ring, at which point he'd hop up onto the apron and then to the top rope and look to drop an elbow off the top across Nuke's chest

There was still a mix of cheers and jeers as Drako took control of the match, his earlier refusal to take the handshakes still weighing on the minds of some of the fans.
But they were soon distracted as Drako leaps from the top rope, landing a hard and debilitating elbow drop!

having nailed the elbow drop, the champion elects to attempt another pin here to put Nuke away

The leg was hooked for the pinfall attempt..

Nuke kicked out on the two count, but that showed that he clearly had taken a little more damage than before. This time there was no immediate getting to his feet, as he moved a little and grabbed his chest. His eyes were open, however, showing signs of life.

the champion reels back on his knees, tossing his hair out of his face, a look of slight irritation on his face at the kickout. Still, he has this match firmly in hand, and maybe it just needs an exclamation point. He gets to his feet and goes to pull Nuke up, then attempt to drop him again with the Dragon Shot

There was a moment when Nuke was being dragged up, and that veteran instinct just had to kick in. The fans knew what was coming, even the ref knew what was coming, as he stood back a little.
Fusion just throws a hard elbow at this point, hoping to catch anywhere he could and take Drako off that momentum for a second.

Drako is caught with a stiff elbow, forcing him to release Nuke. In retaliation, he attempts to kick Nuke straight in the face

The elbow connected as the crowd gave off a cheer, but that was followed up with a stiff kick to the face, which was greeted with mixed emotions from the crowd.
It knocked Nuke back a little, but he comes back with a headbutt.
