Sailor Meissa

Her fingers twitched a little at the sound of the other girl giggling at her. Meissa stiffened a little as the illusionary bobcat manifested itself and padded silently around her opponent but unlike before, in both another training session and when she was first awoken, this time it seemed as if her opponent was not quite affected by the feline apparition. Why was that? Her body tensed as the other senshi called out her own attack and Meissa instinctively stiffened in response. Her gaze caught the flash of red light that was emitted from the finger that had been waving around at her in a mocking manner.

Puzzlement crossed her face as the red light was replaced with a delicate ribbon that seemed to strike her squarely. The was no damage that she could discern but yet something that had been said drifted through her mind. Something about her ears. And an art convention? What did that mean? Had she been seen patrolling? How? When? Why wasn't her magic working this time? Was something wrong with her? Had Itsuki been mistaken in his choice? Shaking her head Meissa attempted to focus on her opponent as the word dweeb came through quite clearly. Her eyes snapped to Aletheia just in time to catch the large step taken in her direction - that was not a good sign.

Defense or offense? Both had advantages. Both also had drawbacks. Trying to still shake off the feeling that something was amiss Meissa grabbed at the nearest object within her reach - a discarded broom. Her fingers tightened around the wooden handle as she stood straight with her feet planted firmly. Her lips mouthed what she really wanted to say but instead a sharp warning of "Back off!" passed through her lips. She'd use her magic again if it was called for but something niggled at the back of her mind. Just who was she dealing with? Clearly a senshi but something was different. Something wasn't right.

Liryn

"We'll be fine if we stick together" Liryn agreed - and it was something that the small tabby mauvian truly believed. After all their small group numbered a Knight, a Super senshi, an Eternal senshi and now a Squire.

Athene was out there and was on his way in their direction too–

And it wasn't like he was helpless either.

The jangle of alarm going off took him slightly by surprise for a moment, until he realised that someone must have set off the distress signal app.

"I don't know" he admitted when the Knight asked him if the distress app going off was Athene's doing, because whilst it was something that the dark-haired eternal would do, he couldn't say for sure whether the other had been the one to do it "But it's a good call either way."

Especially if it attracted back up - there was also the added bonus that if Athene had been the one to set off the distress app signal then it had to mean that he was relatively close.

"And yes I'll keep an eye out" Liryn agreed - and whilst it wasn't a literal eye, the sentiment was still there "By the way has anyone seen Cybele?"

Eternal Sailor Athene

Whilst Athene had no idea where Liryn was, he had picked up on the auras of what appeared to be two Negaverse Captains and and an Eternal senshi.

He shifted direction in an attempt to try and head in that direction, in part because whilst the Eternal could most likely handle themselves, Athene knew that whilst Captains were not as strong as Generals, it didn't mean that they weren't dangerous–

And besides two on two was a lot better than two on one.

Even as he started to head in the new direction a part of him hoped that Liryn wasn't in the middle of getting himself into trouble because the small mauvian had a tendency to forget that he was a small cat - at least in cat form - and not a one cat army.

All of my characters in this post are up for interaction!

Captain Chambersite
The chaos was quite a show really. Thought it was hard to tell what he should do, and instead opted to take some energy from some of the Order characters while they were distracted. Nothing like filling a quota by barely doing anything! Still, he had to dodge here and there, but he hadn't been targeted, yet. He wouldn't mind it though. He thought he had seen that jack*** Senshi around somewhere, and if he could then he would be okay with trying to stab him again. He hadn't seen him again since the attack started even if the other was hard to miss.

Still, he was up for a challenge, and wouldn't mind trying to beat up any Senshi or Knight that decided to attack him.

Captain Geocronite
How he had managed not to be spotted at this time was still beyond him, but he didn't mind it. He had decided that he would watch from the shadows. As much as he would have liked to join in with the Order and tried to beat up his "fellow" agents, it would still be spotted and known if that were to happen. Even if the fighting was chaotic, it wasn't too large to get lost in the crowd. Especially with his outfit. Neon-magenta was not good for blending in. Still, he kept his eye out in case there was anything that he could get away with, even if that included running away or punching an Agent.

Super Corrupt Versailles
Yet again Versailles was reminded of why he didn't grow his hair long in the first place. Unlike most of the other Corrupted Senshi that he knew, he didn't have anything holding it together so it often flailed around the place, even blocking his eyesight sometimes. And all he was doing now was dodging! For a moment he thought about asking if another had something, anything to keep his hair in place, but remembered that this was technically a battleground, and he was more likely to have his perfect face hurt than get any help in the hair department.

Dark Mirror Varda
Somehow she had been able to keep herself in the dark and had decided to risk letting a wraith out. Luckily it didn't seem to be too tall, and fluttered about gathering tiny bits of energy from those who were there, except any other Dark Mirror that she may not have known were there. From the large group, it would be enough to just take tiny amounts, probably to the point where they felt like they could just yawn, but not enough to feel tired and she would manage to get enough. Still, she kept her back to something stable so she wouldn't be ambushed from behind, but had to keep an eye out in case someone spotted her.

Aletheia

That. stupid. cat. Aletheia couldn't help but continue to follow it with her eyes as she forced herself forward. There was no doubt in her mind that it was a trick, no matter how convincing it felt, and she had to keep moving in order to reach her target. She'd have to commend this girl's strength, honestly. If it was supposed to make you uncomfortable and fearful, it was certainly doing it's job. Was this what it was like to be under the effects of her rumor magic? Her shoulders stiffened.

"Not a chance." She replied as she, finally, reached a point where she felt she could safely strike her opponent. If it weren't for Meissa's magic currently in effect, Aletheia might have paused to laugh again at the broom. However, if she wanted to nab this target and be done with it, she'd have to try and focus.

She took several deep breaths in and out, her eyes closing during the final exhale, and jumped into a leaping kick. With any hope, her strike would land somewhere it could knock Meissa flat, or straight up out cold, and she could drain her before awaiting her next orders.

Pendour

It wasn't long before Pendour found a strong arm wrapped around her. She didn't fight it. She leaned up against Sess's chest. "Okay," she said, her voice even quieter, barely a whisper. The Aspect magic kept her graceful. She kept pace with him and didn't stumble, even though her arm and chest were throbbing with every heartbeat and already dripping a maybe-concerning amount of blood.

She noticed the alarm sound, but only vaguely among all the other noise.

A voice from his other shoulder, on the other hand, made her blink, and she glanced up to see a Mauvian. A different Mauvian. There were a lot of them here. This one was asking about Cybele. "She was by the tables when I turned off the lights," said Pendour, in the same soft, strained voice. It might not mean much in a situation like this, she knew that, but even though her eye was slowly adjusting to the lighting, she still couldn't see very much beyond a few senshi and knights who were right in front of her..

Like Sumner, she realized.

"Hi," she said. "Sorry." She winced at that, and only half from the pain. Maybe apologizing didn't help, but she'd gotten hurt, and now everyone was coming to her when they should have been getting away, and all this after Sumner had already given her one lecture about being careful.

"Maybe once we get out, if you know first aid?" Lifeguards knew that, didn't they? This was so much. Her thoughts were getting muddy.

Sailor Meissa

She had hoped that maybe her declaration would have been enough to thwart the other senshi but it seemed as if she was going to have to fight her way out of this situation. The broom had been a lucky find but Meissa was still nervous about having an object that could be called a weapon but considering her lack of actual hand-to-hand combat skills it would have to do. There was no time left to think. Meissa's opponent had leaped forward just as the apparition of the bobcat disappeared. Her magic attack was up for now but at the same time she could always try bringing it back out as soon as it was feasible. But first...

Taking in the trajectory of Aletheia's jump Meissa's grip shifted on the broom to take a large swing at the airborne senshi. Her glee at feeling the resounding thwak as the broom connected was short-lived. Sure she had made contact and she wasn't sure just how hard the impact was for her opponent but at the same time the broom handle snapped and all that Meissa was left holding was a small chunk of wood. She winced at the jarring impact that travelled up her hands as the now useless piece of broom was dropped. It wasn't going to be useful anymore.

Memo to self: discarded broom was discarded for a reason.

Carmen

Carmen's jaw went slack when the Chaos auras started flaring up. How could this have happened? There were several cats present, all working to hide auras, and yet somehow Chaos had found them anyway. There was a rat, there had to be. She had to find that rat and maybe give them a few scratches to remember her by. Already, her resentment for the potential filthy traitor was boiling in her blood.

She could orchestrate her little search and destroy mission later. Right now, she had to do what she could to fight off the menace before it left with something far more precious than a traitor. The enemy had, of all things, opened with a concert, a move she respected for many reasons. Maybe she could have a word with the singer. In fact, she would do just that. She dashed towards the end of the soccer field till she found the rooftop where she was fairly sure the singing had come from. There did seem to be people on top of it.

"You there, on the roof!" she called upward. "Surrender your songstress to me. Now!"

Megrez

Megrez had wanted to scream and fly into a berserker rage when she felt the Chaos auras prickle at her. How could this happen? This event had the potential to be amazing. It had been amazing while it was going on. What was happening now defied words. She couldn't describe the disappointment and infuriation, she didn't need to, she didn't want to.

Events had left her towards the end of the soccer field, a bit far from Cybele but near a certain rooftop. The Negaverse had announced their presence with a concert. The gall of it all! The irony struck her. She would have loved to do that. It wasn't as fun being on the receiving end of a theme song. In any case, there were people on that roof, and she needed to investigate. There was also a familiar cat calling out to the people on the roof. Figuring it wouldn't hurt to give her a front row seat to the action, she scooped up Carmen as she leapt up to the rooftop.

The sight that greeted her was every bit as dangerous as expected. A lieutenant, two cats, a General. Megrez felt that, as one of the few Eternals (probably?) there, it was her responsibility to take out this high-level threat. In the moment, however, all she could do was laugh incredulously.

Still, she managed to prepare something in between cackles. "Ostrich Egg Toss!"

Carmen leapt out of Megrez's arms, fur bristling as she surveyed the targets. One of those Mauvians was gonna get catpunched.

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Ostrich Egg Toss!

Cupping both hands to catch it, Megrez manifests an ostrich egg. This egg can be thrown at the enemy. Ostrich eggs can be up to five pounds and they are significantly bigger than chicken eggs, so this egg might actually hurt if thrown at someone. The goop and residue from this egg lingers for 30 seconds before disappearing. Can be used three times.

Makhaon

Makhaon's soul felt on fire. She was having such a good time, and then she'd been thrown right out of the pan with an ambush. In any case, she needed to knock out as many Chaos fiends as possible. It was time for her to do her duty!

Problem was, there were so many enemies, and Makhaon was but one basic senshi with useless defensive powers that couldn't even burn wood. She wasn't even sure where to begin. This was a mass attack, not a simple duel. There was no one set rival.

Looking around and looking every bit as lost as she was did turn up something. There was a lieutenant going for a cat. A cat! How low could these jerks go? Makhaon stomped over to where Jadarite and Realta were and started shouting declarations. "I never thought I'd see any agent stoop so low! Attacking an animal? Pick on someone your own size!"

Fomalhaut

Fomalhaut felt immensely lost among the chaos and Chaos. She knew that she could fight, sort of, and that her powers would be especially effective against the higher-ranked agents present. Still, there was one thing bugging her, keeping her from just jumping into the fray. She thought she felt one anomalous aura in the mix, and it caught her attention. Carefully, she crept away from the main body of the fray, towards where she thought the aura was.

Soon enough, she found a lone Dark Mirror Senshi, her back guarded. That was curious for a few reasons. "Um, excuse me," she called out to that senshi. "What are you doing here? Did the Negaverse invite you, or did you just... come along?" Her tone was not accusatory, merely inquiring. She had a few questions, even if this wasn't quite the place to ask them.

SSBrosB
Fomalhaut has approached Varda! also see Sadachbia below.

Cor Caroli

Everything had gone to hell. Absolutely everything. There were two Captains and various passing enemy senshi squaring off against Cybele, including some jackhole who had cast a spell on his own ally and run off. He was probably long gone, and as much as Cor wanted to chase that loser down and grab an explanation, he needed to help Cybele turn the tides in her favor. She had been dogpiled on by at least two senshi that hadn't even bothered to stick around. He did the only thing was sure he could do: offer her a boost. A bit of extra willpower could help set her right after that bombardment.

"Force of Will!" he called out, gesturing towards Cybele. The higher-tier spell also gave him a surge of energy, and he was going to try his best to get the other Captain out of the way. This could have worked out if the Captain hadn't just vanished into thin air.

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Force of Will!

Cor Caroli extends both hands outward and says the attack name. He and up to two allies in a 5-foot radius will receive a large boost to their will to fight, allowing them to fight through even very painful injuries. Cor Caroli can choose which allies receive the buff; where he gestures is a good indication, but the actual choice is determined with a thought. The buff lasts 35 seconds and can be used twice per battle.

(Interruption from Paracelsian)

This battle would mark two firsts for Paracelsian. This battle would be the first time he summoned his weapon, and the first time he teleported. Sucking in a breath, there was a great rush, and soon he was behind the blue senshi. Acting with as much urgency as he could muster, he grabbed the other senshi from behind and held his dagger to his throat. "While it was commendable of you for you to try and bolster your ally's defenses, you left yourself wide open. You, at the very least, are good as ours."

Grabbing such an easy target left a bad taste in the Captain's mouth, but depending on Cybele's reaction, it may have also served as an indirect assist for Sylvite. Unless the other senshi called his bluff and figured that he wasn't going to actually kill her friend in front of her, the leader would most likely surrender to avoid further damages.

Quote:
For Stari: Cor has used his magic on Cybele, and Paracelsian has butted in!

Sadachbia

Oh hell no. This was a rude awakening, to say the least. Who was the rat? How did the Negaverse find out about this event? Did some cat forget to suppress one stray aura?

This was not the time for questions. Sadachbia needed to act, and now. As a Super Senshi, she needed to take out the higher-ranked agents before they got to any vulnerable senshi. She thought she spotted one Captain, somewhere in the mix, and this Captain seemed to be having a grand time sneaking bits of energy from anyone he could get his hands on. "Sadachbian Stone Slabs," she murmured, and slowly crept up with the intent of breaking her magic slab over his head. It probably wouldn't knock him out, but it'd be unpleasant.

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Sadachbian Stone Slabs!

Extending her arms forward to catch something, Sadachbia calls out the attack name, and a stone slab manifests into her hands. It is about three feet long by a foot wide by an inch thick. Sadachbia can either use the slab to block attacks or to attack. Like the bricks of her basic attack, the slab is lighter than normal stone, so it won't really break anything if it hits someone. Similarly, the slab will crumble to dust if dropped to the ground. Sadachbia cannot summon more slabs until she has used her current one or their time limit has expired (if not broken by something else, it will disappear after 30 seconds). This attack can be used 3 times for a total of 3 slabs.

Quote:
For Bros: Sadachbia is attacking Chambersite!

Glitnir

Glitnir felt pure irritation bubbling up inside him. This was his first foray into powered life in how long? And it went to hell, just like everything else had.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a flash of purple just casually walking through the fray. Purple attached to black hair and a black fuku. A sneaking, prickly suspicion snuck up on him, and he began to pursue a certain Corrupt through the battlefield.

Quote:
Glitnir is pursuing Porrima and is open for interaction!

Aletheia

Ow! It took everything in Aletheia's power not to throw her head back and scream upon being smacked with the broom. She propelled herself backward and winced, her arm moving to clutch her side, before paying witness to the broom breaking apart. Oh, oh God that was hilarious. She clamped a hand over her mouth and tried to keep herself from doubling over with laughter.

"Did that not work out as planned, sweetheart?" She cackled, wincing again as her side twinged with pain. Clearly she'd be nursing that later on, but first- She narrowed her gaze on Meissa. "Now, let's try that again!"

Again, she launched herself forward, this time aiming to tackled Meissa straight to the ground. It wasn't above her to try to grab that absconded piece of would to use as a bludgeon if she managed to throw her opponent down, but she'd much rather try the good old-fashioned hands on approach first.

"I'm supposed to be brazen. I'm the front lines. The one they send in to get attacked first and take the heavy hits. It's what I'm made for." He said, flexing his claws as he spoke.

"You'll get plenty of training with me. Don't waste your time with them here. They are disorganized and many aren't veterans of the war. I'll set you up right. Don't worry about trying to get a head start. It's more important for you to just handle the more important things. I value your overachieving mindset, but for now, just breathe and stick to the task at hand." He smiled softly at him, glad that in the end, nothing bad had happened.

"You ok?"

Dark Mirror Varda
Before she knew it she had let a curse, though whispered, fall from her mouth as one of the Senshi found her. She had hoped to get out of here without being spotted, especially since her wraith was out there gathering some energy. She'd have to make sure it went to a safe spot before she retrieved it.

She gave the Order Senshi a shrug. At least it didn't seem like they wanted to attack. Yet. But she wouldn't let her guard down in case they were just distracting her. "Wrong place, wrong time is all. No idea that this was happening." She said while shrugging her shoulders. She truly hadn't, she had just been caught up in it, but that didn't mean she wasn't willing to take the advantage of the situation. "If I had known, I wouldn't have come. While I am Chaos, that doesn't mean that we get along with those guys." She gave a nod towards the fighting and implying that she was talking about the Negaverse.

She raised an eyebrow. "Shouldn't you be helping to fight with your uh, teammates?" She wasn't sure if that's what they called each other. Comrades? Whatever. All she knew was that the other Senshi was leaving themselves open to attack.

----------------------------------------------------

Captain Chambersite
Chambersite had been quite enjoying gathering all of the energy. He was sure that he had already fulfilled his quota for the month, but he continued. After all, he wasn't here just to collect energy. There was another reason for all of this. And he wasn't against helping another Agent capture an enemy. Whether it was for information or a corruption, either one would be fine with him.

While he had been gathering energy, he hadn't seen or sensed the Super Senshi coming towards him, but when it finally hit him, he had just enough time to look at her, his eyes widening at the fact that the Senshi was coming at him with what was basically a rock. And even if it couldn't kill him, he did not want to get hit by that! A quick "the ****?!" escaped his mouth as he summoned his dagger and swung at her, hoping to avoid getting hit. He would have teleported, but with all of the chaos going around, he wasn't sure if he teleported into the same space as someone else if that would cause some type of fusing or if he would just fall on them, but either way he did not want to find that out right now!

Rak shadowing Sylvite

Sami-Fire
Assisting Para with Cor

It had seemed unwise for Rakovanite to try and do anything more than support the more experienced agents during Captain Sylvite's ambush. For all the training that he'd done in the better part of the year, it still didn't feel like enough preparation to take part in a fight against senshi and knights who were notably stronger than he was, himself. Rakovanite wanted to be useful, but not needlessly injure himself.

There was no benefit to throwing himself bodily between his captains and the supers and eternals they fought.

And there were many senshi here to be wary of. It felt just by virtue of how many people were here that it could easily turn unpleasant for Chaos. With Mauvians on both sides dousing everyone's auras, the only way to tell who was on what side or at what point in their development they were was by sight. An unreliable sense when everyone was moving so quickly and the lights on the field had been cut.

He recognized that Sylvite had mostly sedated her target, but most everyone else was foreign to him. He wanted to stay close to the girl he trusted and respected, just in case she may have use of him.

The others at her disposal were likely more equipped to handle any complications Sylvite might right in to, but it suited him to observe and be ready.

When one of the senshi (a young man in blue that Rakovanite had never seen before) began to cast his magic in Cybele and Sylvite's direction, Rakovanite moved to intervene. Another captain he didn't recognize was ahead of him, teleporting behind the senshi and brandishing knives near his throat. Their objective was supposed to be to capture any they could, and if the opportunity was available, it seemed Rakovanite may be able to be of use here. He moved toward them, extending one hand to grip the senshi's collar as he began to drain energy from him to weaken him.

His dark gaze flicked briefly to the captain that stood behind the senshi. "My apologies if you did not want the help."

Turquoise

"I could say the same about you," Turquoise said. Really, not only was Benitoite the nicest generals (to her, at least) out here, he was also the first person she had met and knew somewhat. Well, except for Cora of course.

"Maybe we should have tea sometimes?" she made a suggestion when he said Katya and Cora should spend more time together. She offered her hand to Katya like she could nudge against it if she wanted to. "I'm glad. I can trust her in good hands.. or maybe I should say paws."

She was just about to offer her hand to Benitoite so that they could teleport to the soccer field together when she heard another familiar voice. This one was not as welcomed. It was an egg senshi!! The one who humiliated Buddy. And she was laughing.

There was no time to think if the next thing she did was stupid or too rushed. But one thing was sure. She was not going to let eggs landing on the general she cared about that easily.

Turquoise pushed Cora a bit further. She stood up quickly and stepped between Benitoite and Megrez. "General!! Dodge!!!" she shouted as she held her saucers defensively, taking the impact of the attack. She hoped this act would buy him enough time to teleport or dodge other ways.

Cora

Cora felt very very flattered and a bit flustered by the general's praising words and more of the sudden kiss that was given to her forehead. "I just love to sing. I'm glad you give me the opportunity to do so."

She turned to Katya, her cream-colored ears perking up as she said she would help. "Aww, you would do that for me?!" she reached forward to give a friendly nudge to her new friend (hopefully) before turning towards the rooftop's edge. "Okay, I'll get ready." Now, where was she?

But before she could catch up where the song was, two energy signatures disrupted them. One belonged to the eternal, one to a cat. She felt a hand pushing her further which caused her to lose her balance. "Ugh…" Shaking her head a little she tried to catch up with what was going on. The
eternal was calling on an attack towards the general. No, wait, Turq was on the way. And there was a cat lunging towards her!

"Katya, help!"

Cybele

Eventually, something cut through the haze. It was more magic. Cybele felt herself perk up, even as her energy drifted off in small glowing tendrils towards the Captain’s hand.

A hint of the loneliness was still there, but she was aware that it was just magic in her head. She had dealt with magic before. She had dealt with Captains before, ambushes before. She swung out another fist, although the girl managed to dodge it again.

“I would rather die,” she growled at last, her eyes cold and narrow.

The sound of metal slicing through air behind her made her blood run cold. She glanced over her shoulder to see the other Captain holding a blade to the throat of her sparring partner.

“No,” she said, voice much softer, as she glanced with wide eyes between the two captains. Another lieutenant stepped up, and she shook her head slowly. “No.” Cybele had long ago accepted death for herself, but she couldn’t be so careless with someone else’s life. She knew that.

As her thoughts raced, something else hit her-- an awful sensation she’d only felt once before in her life. A hand was stuck wrist deep in her chest, and she winced as the small fingers wrapped around her starseed and pain shot through her very being.

She whirled around to see the pink-haired Captain grinning for just a split second.

Then there was nothing.

---

Sylvite

Sylvite took a step back with Cybele’s starseed in her fist as the senshi collapsed.

She was grinning, the thrill of all this actually working bubbling up as excitement in her chest. She kept grinning as she looked over at Paracelsian and now Van, teaming up on their own senshi prize. “Thanks,” she said. “That was super smart! Totally gave me an opening.”

She tilted her head towards Van, who she’d already given one lesson to about how to bargain with starseeds and stuff. “See?” she said. “They always freak out when you act like you’re gonna hurt someone. We probably could have made some kind of deal with her, but, like,” she reached down and picked up Cybele into a potato-sack carry. It looked a little weird, since the senshi was definitely bigger than her, but she didn’t feel too heavy.
“I didn’t wanna bargain today. Not when we can have both of them. You guys got that one?” It sure looked like it, and so without waiting too much longer for the rest of the trainees to realize she’d snagged their leader, she and Cybele vanished.

She reappeared on the roof of one of the nicer houses across the field from where the concert was going on, just close enough that she could still kinda keep an eye on the battle below, even if a few tree branches kept seeing more than general movement pretty difficult.

She summoned her tablet pen into her free hand, and said, “Okay, everybody. We got our main target. Grab anyone else you can, but then let’s get out. I don’t want any of us getting hurt.”

Paracelsian

Paracelsian smiled thinly behind his scarf when Rakovanite appeared upon the scene. Ah, a lieutenant, just what he needed. It was an actual opportunity to demonstrate how to do things to someone below him. Granted, this lieutenant could have been more experienced and already known what to do. In fact, that seemed to be the case, as the lieutenant had taken it upon himself to drain this senshi's energy. Ordinarily, Paracelsian would have expected to give an official order for this sort of thing, but he respected the initiative.

"The help is fine," Paracelsian replied with a nod. "I was going to request this of you anyway." The senshi in his grip was frozen with fear as it was, but the insurance of having his energy drained would seal the deal. It seemed that he would capture a senshi after all. It would be another necessary sacrifice for the world he envisioned, even if he felt incredibly uneasy about it.

Soon, Sylvite did her decisive strike. Paracelsian did not relish the look of terror on the enemy leader's face when she saw the position her comrade was in. He was merely glad that it ended quickly. "I think I've got him. Please don't forget to put her starseed back," he said before his fellow Captain warped away. He looked back to Rakovanite. "I'm not sure I can take you with me right now, but if you wish to meet again, send me a tablet message."

Sucking in a breath, he teleported away, hoping to land somewhere near Sylvite and hopefully to not collapse into a heap when he landed. This was literally his second teleport ever. It probably wasn't gonna be pretty (that first one was a miracle in itself).

Cor Caroli

Cor felt his whole body stiffen and freeze over. One wrong move, and he'd lose his head, possibly literally. He couldn't move, he could barely talk. Even with his own bolstered willpower, he was slowly accepting that everything was over for him. When the lieutenant showed up and started draining him, all he could muster was one soft "no" in objection. The internal energy chafed against the internal loss, and he slumped, mentally preparing himself for whatever came next.

He had utterly given up by the time the other Captain disappeared with his sparring partner. "Just go," he mumbled softly, closing his eyes and bracing for impact. There was none, but that didn't matter.

Cafetite/Nambulite

Cafetite smiled awkwardly upon being patted on the head. She would have found the gesture incredibly bold if she weren't so tickled by it. "Nice to meet you, Sailor Ananke," she said, keeping her tone sweet. "Who said you can't come with me? I think this might be an opportunity for both of us. I get some experience and you get to see a bit of how the other side is like." A promise lingered on her tongue. She wasn't sure if she could keep it, so she wasn't sure if she should even mention it. It sort of fell out anyway, as a compromise of what it could have been. "I don't have to present you for corruption. I'll make sure you're taken care of, at least for a while."

Nambulite scoffed as loud as he could. "You're not even trying!" He rolled his eyes when the Eternal senshi chastised him. "Please. It's got nothing to do with violence and everything to do with not actually doing anything. Speaking of which..." He gave a sharp, dissonant cackle as he raised his fists. "Even if we can't get her, I'd be happy to get something from her." With that, he charged forward, one hand in a claw. His goal was merely to grab a brooch or bow off her as a trophy, but the way he was going for her chest bow could very easily be mistaken for a starseed grab.

"Wait, wait, wait! What are you doing?!" Cafetite nearly squealed in indignation as she also lunged forward. She positioned her squeaky bread in a way that would bump Nambulite away and probably also bump into Ananke in the process. "You're ruining everything! Stop that!"

Yeah, two lieutenants were arguing over an Eternal senshi. Brilliant.

However, in unison, Nambulite and Cafetite received the signals to retreat. A desperate look flashed across Cafetite's face. "I... I'm sorry, Ananke. Please come with me. I'd rather you be in my hands than anyone else's here. It might not be safe. Someone else might grab you on their way out."

Nambulite grumbled and squeezed Cafetite's squeaky bread in irritation.

Fomalhaut

Fomalhaut felt a bit bad when she realized that the Dark Mirror was probably not expecting her. She tilted her head in curious confusion as she listened to the other senshi's responses. "You really didn't know?" It made sense. She hadn't seen any other Dark Mirrors here yet, so maybe this one really did just sort of happen upon the event. What she said next, however, came as a true surprise to Fomalhaut, though it did make sense given her previous encounters with Dark Mirror Senshi. "You really... don't get along with the Negaverse?" There was a brief pause as Fomalhaut let the information sink in. "That's not what I was told. I had it drilled into me that all Chaos was bad. But... then, what do you do? If you're not Order, and you're not with the Negaverse, what are you?" It was probably a stupid question to ask.

Upon being asked if she should be fighting with the other Order senshi, she shot a guilty look back over towards the battlefield. "Yes, maybe, but... there's just too much going on there. Am I really supposed to just pick a random Negaverse-looking person and punch them?" Not that that had stopped her before, but given the results of punching random black-clad senshi, she was wary.

Sadachbia

"Oh shi-" Sadachbia lowered her slab just in time to use it to block the dagger coming at her. That look of shock he gave her before he countered was amazing though. She would have loved to take a picture of that. Still, when the slab crumbled upon impact, the Captain would be greeted by a twisted grin. "Wasn't expecting that, huh?" she quipped as she prepared her next onslaught. She might have been in too close of quarters to pull it off, but damned if she wasn't going to try.

Except, at that moment, it seemed that the Negaverse was retreating. The spell name sat on the tip of her tongue. "Well? What are you gonna do? You gonna run with the others, or?" She was fully prepared for either option. If this Captain retreated, she'd track him down later for a rematch. If he remained, she'd be happy to bring their duel to a conclusion. He should be happy that she gave him an out in this moment.

Megrez/Carmen

When Megrez launched that big, heavy ostrich egg, she was not expecting the lieutenant to protect her general. That brought the egg senshi back down to earth and shook the incredulity and laughter out of her. "Stay out of my way," she snarled, assuming a defensive position. She wanted to lunge and tackle the lieutenant in a way that would allow her to domino into the general and hit two at once, but then...

She thought, faintly, she heard the call to retreat from somewhere, maybe a tablet tucked away. The mass of Chaos auras seemed to thin slowly, just a little. Megrez turned around and gave the soccer field the quickest scan she could. She figured that she'd be able to recognize Cybele from where she was, but the mint-haired senshi was nowhere to be found. "C-Cybele?" she stammered, panic creeping into every inch of her. "Where... where is Cybele?!"

Carmen had taken the moment to lunge forward and try to give Cora as hard a catpunch as she could muster, but she noticed that the senshi who'd brought her up here was suddenly no longer on the offensive. "You idiot!" she hissed, apparently not jumping to the same conclusion that Megrez was. "Don't let your guard down! Keep fighting, at all costs!"

Maybe the Carmen who had just awoken into the war would have turned up her nose at directly assaulting anyone, but the Carmen on the rooftop now was different. Perhaps she had turned feral out of desperation and a desire to have her might make right. No matter what, she was not going to let this Chaos cat go easily. Even if the general's cat joined in, even if the General himself decided to come for her, she would claw and bite her way out of the fight.

Oh, how she wished she would finally attain human form! The true Mauvian human form, not that stopgap civilian form that had once terrified her until she discovered its advantages. With fingers and feet, she could stomp, kick, wield weapons, strangle...

Oh, how she wished she could roar out her rage!

Now's your chance, General!
