INDENTAdrenaline flooded the Youth's bloodstream. Concealed lips smirked in an almost daemon possessed thrill. Sounds of battle roared across the forest.. Oh, how he loved it~ His ability to act swiftly netted young Aeleus quite the lead. Distinguishing himself rather quickly from the rest of the pack. He was dubbed Konoha's ACE for good reason. To the unbeknownst crowd of spectators his lead was sure to garner an eyeball or two. Going entirely unscathed throughout his venture towards the next phase of the exam. Joyfully thrilled irises glew as darkness settled in a silhouette-esk glimpse of the next stage. "There!" Surely, assuming his two newly appointed comrades followed his notary, and all had gone smoothly. They'd be meeting him at any moment, advancement was guaranteed! "A-Are you watching O-pa, I did it!"

INDENTTriumphant decree subsided as that horrifying plea of agony cried out.. This plea naught from the ordinary damsel. This was a truly terrified, howling screech of distress. Feet glued to the ground, an immediate cease of all movement. Caught by Medusa's petrifying gaze. Time itself froze, his conscious sinking into the eternal abyss of despair. What was he to do? Surely someone would come to the Damsel's aide, Lalhlil.. The other Proctors.. A-anyone else.. Teeth gritted, sweat trickled brow. Deep within his heart of hearts, he knew the fate the woman faced dare he not intervene against fate's foul hand. Before him, victory. Advancement and the ability to prove himself. To fulfill his long standing promise to his dearly departed Grandfather. Behind, a life. A precious creation of the divine flame, a flame he vowed to serve. Yet, here he was. Listening to the devil promptly on his shoulder. What of his comrades.. They would be arriving any second now.. If he wasn't here when they did.. Not only would he fail but so would they. "I-I'm sorry!!"

INDENT"E-Eventually, Latom claims us all" he shouted! ( Latom - "Great Divine Flame" ) Trying his best to convince himself, aloud, that advancing was the correct thing to do.. Right foot inched forwards, towards the examination site. This was his plan after all, he took the responsibility of 'Leading' this squad. He couldn't falter now. I-It was none of his business what happened to a stranger, Thy flame be done! Left foot begun to follow. The moment his left foot touched ground, he'd freeze again. Eyes wide, lips parted in awe. This surge of energy that could only be descried as divine locked him in place. Memories of that day played before his visuals.. The day he learned of his Mother's passing. Perhaps it was because the woman's voice- "W-What if she was in the similar situation.. what if she could've gotten.." While gifted in many areas and perhaps talented enough to be among leaders, he himself wasn't quite ready. Aeleus lacked the inner strength and wisdom to weigh the odds, to make those tough calls. He couldn't bring himself to value the exam's success over the great ember of life.

INDENTTime flowed once again. Conscious returned from the underworld, resolute. Ready for whateve may come. What seemed like a eternity of internal struggle was but a brevity in reality. The chaotic gale sent his cloak into a violent dance with the wind. Revealing, betwixt index and middle finger a set of rigged shuriken, a tiny orb dangling from each. With a sudden flex of his body, Aeleus vanished. Conscious and Instinct worked together in unison, miraculously guiding him through the wilderness. Luckily, having taken the fastest route to the Damsel.

INDENTStill mind, swift movement. Ripping wind's gave a single warning to The Beast. The first shuriken would lodge itself between the snarling creature and the woman. It's orb-like attachment split down the center. Expelling a heavy, rapidly expanding smoke. It's blackness blotting out all that it consumed. Undoubtedly blocking the woman from that Monster's predatory sight. Naturally impulsive and quick to act. Aeleus moved with the utmost urgency. Direly coming to the aide of the woman. It was clear, he was going in for the kill. The shuriken's origin would be hard to trace, and if the creature focused on such, it would not notice the second shuriken aimed to strike at it's footing, attempting to force it backward. Ideally creating a brief distraction halting The Beast from pursing the women, while also granting Aeleus a minor advantage in positioning. As the smoke from the initial pellet's release finalized it's expansion, Aeleus would appear within it's shrouded protection. Hunched forwards, right hand grazing left wrist in a swift, graceful flow. Placing himself between The Damsel and The Beast. Although physically in close proximity to both, The Boy's presence would be that of a ghost. Going entirely undetected. Second phase of his smoke's expanding warpath set forth. The secondary projectile spewing another wave of thick, all-consuming, blackened smoke. Assuming The Beast did not fully retreat, it too would inevitably be enveloped by the smokescreen. "You've got to run" Elegantly hands swayed outwards, the summoning smoke dispersed into the utter darkness of the smokescreen. Hidden Threat. "I can't contain it for long... GO, NOW!" Étaín pulsed in pleasure as Aeleus' emotions flared. Once Sapphire hues had been flushed with a minor splash of golden, revealing The Scythe's possessive grip slowly starting to consume him. The Damsel would've assumed he meant containing this snarling creature. However, in actuality, he feared something much worse. Back to whence she came, this path was clearly not safe for the likes of her.

INDENTTreacherous blades maneuvered covertly. The Predator had now become The Prey. "It won't hesitate, if it finds an opening" images of the first squadron of Genin rushed by those wolves of darkness flushed his memory. "I won't give you the opportunity." Sudden, staggering shifts in temperature sparked. A massive uproar of heat swept through the battleground. Emerging towards the left of The Beast, two rather large, molten, flaming disk of magma. The Beast''s right, a single large, magmatic disk. Aeleus had preformed an elaborate, full-frontal pincer, hitting from all fronts. Those unnoticed, graceful gestures had birthed a flurry of giant windmill shuriken, three of which The Beast's would now notice as fiery disk. Whilst the remaining plethora stayed within the confines of the shroud. The Creature would only come to notice the initial three fiery Windmill Shuriken. Aeleus' true assault, went unnoticed, for the time being. Youthful fingers danced about orchestrating a secret, barrage of precisely placed weaponry. Creating an outer ring of wire, along the edges of the smokescreen. Wire intermingled with the wilderness, creating a Hunter's 'Net' if you will. Should The Beast attempt to escape or merely misstep, it'd be akin to a fly tangling itself in the spiders web. A super-heated, spiders web. Where that venomous spiders-bite, would be all ten giant shuriken piercing into it's Feral Being. Truly, an overwhelming, Hidden Trap.

INDENTSimple fire gave birth to such a massive heat surge, it made one wonder. Just what exactly was Aeleus capable of? "I-I'm sorry Sanada-sensei..." Aeleus' sights remained transfixed on The Creature. Temperature now had reached staggered levels. Any within forty feet would now, merely for being within vicinity, have their skin exposed to constant burns. While anything in direct contact with the earth itself would be blazed quite harshly. That scorching heat, continued on a seemingly endless encroachment of the forest. "I work alone... It's better for everyone" Many of his peers often seen Aeleus as arrogant, however, his Kekkei Genkai simply made it impossible for him to fight along side comrades, without risk of friendly fire. Yet, even still, all this was merely the beginning. The Precursor for what was to come~

♦ Fireproof - After learning the Fire Resistance Technique, the user's mastery over self protection from their own element has become more refined. By passively circulating chakra over their skin, they are able to negate burns upon their own body. Additionally, the user is able to increase the chakra circulating their body to match the rank and potency of a fire based technique directly impacting them in order to nullify that technique. This can be done for no activation cost once every three posts.
♦ Keep Silent - During a post where a smoke related technique is utilized and the user is concealed within it, the user is able to remove all hints of their presence. Opponents who are attempting to locate or interact with the user have the same difficulties as though they were suffering deafness and tier four blindness, additionally removing the smell of the user. This effectively removes their presence from even sensory class ninja and dojutsu.
♦ Sight Through Smoke - The practitioner grows accustomed to the way smoke flows around them and others. The user's vision is no longer hindered by smoke or fog.
♦ Manipulating Line - After casting Retrieval, the user is able to tack on the additional chakra to the same activation of Retrieval. Instead of calling these weapons back to the user, they are able to be manipulated by the chakra threads they are attached to in a similar manner to puppet strings.The chakra threads attached to the weapons remain active for three posts and techniques can be executed from the Manipulating Line technique as though thrown by the user if desired.
♦ Shuriken Hunter - The user's scavenging skills ensure that they are always able to find new shuriken lying about and retrieve their used weapons. This ensures they never carry less than 200 small projectile weapons.
♦ Chain Gripping - The user grips the chain of their weapon, using it to sling the sickle end of their weapon about instead of the chain. Attacks the user executes while doing so have their range extended the length of the chain. This also allows the user to ignore shields as the chain wraps around the shield and allows the blade of the weapon to strike unhindered.
♦ Major Control - The second step on the way to mastering maneuverability of the practitioners who use kusarigama. Mastering this training allows the user to freely manipulate the kusarigama mid flight without use of environment to change its direction. Movement, however, is still limited to slight angles while the weapon is in flight. Doing so requires stamina equal to half the technique being altered be paid.
♦ Searing Burns - All lava-based Yoton techniques (including customs), regardless of the shinobi class of the user, will apply tiered burns on direct physical contact. Tier 1 burns are applied at E-D rank, Tier 2 at C-rank, Tier 3 at B-A rank, and Tier 4 at S-S+ rank.
♦ Melting Point - All active lava techniques are so incredibly hot that they will melt metal in close proximity (30 foot radius). This includes an opponent's custom weapons, armor, and puppets unless an amount of chakra equal to the Yoton technique is expended by the opponent to coat and protect the metal. Additionally, Tier 1 burns will be applied to opponents exposed skin within this radius with an E-C rank Yoton and Tier 2 for B-S+ rank Yoton. ♦ Vulcan's Rage - The user's passive Melting Point ability's radius is doubled to 60 feet and applies Tier 2 burns with E-C rank Yoton techniques and Tier 3 burns with B-S+ rank Yoton techniques. Additionally, if the user is of the ninjutsu class then Tier 2 dehydration with E-C rank Yoton techniques and Tier 3 dehydration with B-S+ rank Yoton techniques are applied as well.
♦ Volcanic Sovereignty - Expands the user's Melting Point's radius an additional 30-ft.
♦ Crackling Krakatoa - The user is able to make their katon and doton techniques molten by applying 5 chakra per rank for no action cost causing them to be considered Yoton techniques for the purposes of overwhelming. Because of the heated molten nature of the user's katon and doton through this method, the Melting Point ability can apply to these techniques. Additionally, Yoton techniques can be performed by the user with somatic gestures rather than handseals with the same amount of time applied to mold the chakra.
♦ Master of Transmutation - Yoton techniques are all capable of being switched between lava, rubber, and wet cement on command with the use of an action. Katon and doton techniques can be self-korabo'd for a one rank increase in power for only one consumed offensive action with a five post cooldown.
♦ Dehydration Demon - Wind and Fire techniques of the user may apply Dehydration Status at the following ranks: E-C: Tier 1, B-A Rank: Tier 2 and S-S+ Rank: Tier 3. Hand seals for techniques may be replaced with somatic gestures. In addition, all enemy dehydration affect the user at 1 tier lower at a minimum of Tier 1.

An extremely simple yet vital technique in any ninja’s arsenal. Mastery of this action allows the user to move up to three feet per rank across the ground at Shunshin speed, increasing their agility by one point. Does not consume an activation of Shunshin, but can only be used once per post.
[ Rank D ] Smoke Bomb Technique [ Enmaku-dan no Jutsu ] | [ -10 Stamina ]
One of the major staples of Juurai Toorima. The user will begin by drawing a smoke pellet from his person. He will then bring the pellet to his hand, typically between the fingers, and then slam it against a solid surface. The smoke pellet expands ten feet and provides the user with a [1] point boost to speed and agility while in the cloud.

[ Rank E ] Unsealing Technique [ Kaifū no Jutsu ] | [ -5 Chakra ]
This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items that have been stored using fūinjutsu, Fūnyū no Jutsu, et cetera ( 1 item type per seal usage ). This technique is a standard ninjutsu which allows a shinobi to summon an assortment of items that have been stored in special seals, using fūinjutsu. Scrolls are the most commonly chosen for item storage. When needed, the owner activates the seals releasing their stored items or weapons of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use. Further ranks require further, and separate, training. Weapons are the most commonly sealed objects. The act of unsealing does not cost an activation, and remains only five chakra, regardless of the quantity of items unsealed.

[ Rank B: Korabo ] Mirror Throwing x Hidden Trap | Overwhelming | +4 Speed | [ -80 Stamina ]
The user will begin by placing two of their projectiles between their fingers, then wave their hand outward, releasing their grip on both. These weapons are released at the same time but create a wide curve as they travel on opposite sides of a target, meeting on the target's right and left side to create a pincer. This technique gains an additional [1] point increase in speed per rank of the technique. Hidden Trap: The user moves stealthily around the battle field while winding several segments of steel wire in their inventory with ten weapons they own within the inventory. This trap remains active upon the field until activated or destroyed. This trap causes all weapons used for the trap to converge upon a target who enters the five-foot radius of its layout.
[ Rank B: Blood Knight Korabo ] Atatameru x Lava Release: Ground Warming | Overwhelming | Dehydration: Tier 3 | Burning: Tier 3 [ -60 Chakra ]
Any metal in the line of sight of the user can be heated up, making it impossible for a non-Shakuton user to touch without expending an equal amount of chakra of this heating technique to coat their hands. This is especially effective on weaponry. Contact with this metal without non-Shakuton users coating themselves with equal chakra results in tier two burns. Lava Release - Ground Warming:The user floods the earth with their chakra, super heating the ground just below the melting point of lava at 2000 degrees Fahrenheit within forty feet of the user that moves with them. Within this radius, living substances receive tier two burns over their entire body while body parts with direct contact to the earth suffer tier three burns. Staying within this radius causes opponents to lose a single activation so long as they are in range. This technique requires a D rank amount of chakra per post as an upkeep cost.

[ Rank D ] Fire Release Shuriken Technique: Crackling Krakatoa - Dehydration Demon | Overwhelming | Dehydration: Tier 2 | Burning: Tier 2 [ -5 Chakra ]
The user launches their shuriken with a Basic Combat Throw or a Bukijutsu Technique before initiating this technique. The user then breathes fire upon the projectile just as it is launched. Doing so coats the weapon in a flame that inflicts T1 burning and burned status upon targets it contacts. This technique requires no activation and may be applied to three separate projectiles in one post.

Another extremely simple yet vital technique for any ninja. Mastery of this action allows the user to flick or throw small objects and fine particulate matter with extreme accuracy and speed. When used with smoke bombs, the user can pay 5 Chakra to have them detonate at any point in its flight the user desires. For each rank of the technique, the smoke bomb covers a 5 foot area. When combined with other techniques of this style, this action is supplementary.

The user pays for this technique's cost when utilizing a projectile technique. While prepping for the projectile technique, the user attaches a thin wire to the object before launching it. During the next post, if the projectile is dodged, the user is able to change it's trajectory for no additional activation during their next post, completely catching their target off guard while salvaging the cost of the technique.

After forming the necessary hand signs the user must trace over the ground a large, but simple, Fuuin design. The seal then expands from its base drawing all along the ground of the thread. The chakra will keep the shape of the seal, but no actual mark will be left. When a target steps within this range the user can activate the trap by a single handsign. The trap begins immediately draining all chakra from those in its range, who are not the user, causing a large amount of pain while doing so. Auto-drains one [1] C-ranked [20] amount of chakra per the target’s post. Applies tier two trauma per post. [Immediately Lose 320 Stamina, drain 160 Stamina] Can catch up to four [4] people. May break out of the seal through the spending of an S+ ranked amount of chakra.

The user places a person on a seal that will drain the latter's chakra, so that the user can use it to sustain a fuuinjutsu. The seal envelops the body of the target as 40 chakra is drained per post in order to maintain a seal of the user's choice. This negates the upkeep for the seal by 40 chakra. This seal last for six post. The technique latches onto its opponent by traversing along the ground like a shadow after the necessary handseals are formed.

Tier Two Trauma

• Drains two times the stamina from the target as equal to the rank of the attack.
• An additional supply of stamina is drained from the opponent over the course of five post equal to the rank of the attack the opponent failed to block or dodge.
• Opponent loses 4 points in endurance.

"Kya!" Jack screamed when the wolves suddenly appeared, but was just as quick to realize, "Mmm. Kya-zo, like gyazo. Now I'm kind of hungry. Kya-zo!". The second scream came when her distraction on food was ruined by the sudden appearance of a kunai in her vision, aimed straight at the ground right before her feet. The shock of having a weapon thrown at her had caused her to take on a rather ridiculous position: one leg raised, body turned to the side, arms up in the air, and hands in some weird position, like she was making bunny shadows with her hands. Her eyes, unfocused and wandering side to side convened on the message-delivering weapon before quickly flicking to and fro to scan the entire group. Only one other kunai had been thrown, both reaching their intended targets and delivered in such a short amount of time. Impressive, Jack had to admit, but she wondered if only two would be enough.

Well, whatever, now really wasn't the time. Rudely awakened, Jack recalled exactly the sort of situation she was in. Chaos reigned, and so far, she was safe, but only because of the energetic efforts of others protecting their fellow genin. She wasn't exactly scared, though, not when the fear she felt was balanced by how she relished this new challenge. Picking up the message quickly, Jack read through its simple contents.

With a nod of her head, she understood what had to be done. She gave one last look over the groups enmassed yet in the beginning area and, wishing them the best in her heart, leaped to convene with her already gathered group. She found the two girls easily, and could only assume the red-head who had initiated this all was somewhere up ahead.

With an eager, "Yo yo yo! I found you, teammate!" Jack greeted the first same-colored-collared teammate she would run into, Matasu, and made her presence known. By the time she caught up, it was only Matasu she met. The other one had disappeared off to the side somewhere. Where, Jack wasn't sure, but she went off, then that meant she was able to take care of herself right? Therefore, no worrieeees.

White hair bouncing and flouncing and a wide smile on her face, Jack was the very picture of an excited child. Except, you know, she definitely was a lot older than a child. The super excited teen wasted absolutely zero time in running her mouth, of course. Who wouldn't after finding people who would be forced to listen to her who would be working with her? In rapid fire syllables, Jack quickly gave all the information anyone could possibly want to know about her, "So I'm Jack, from Konoha, if ya didn't know. I'm a Jack of all trades, or that's what I wanna be. Though, right now, I only got a smidgen of medical and the standard stuff most other ninja have. Oh yeah, by the way, Jack is just a nickname I made for myself. Real name is Jacqueline, Jacqueline Newman. Anyways, my elements are water and wind. My height is 5'5" and I weigh 124 lbs. I like boys who are at least 5" taller than me, cute girls, and more than any of the above: gold." and questions that would surely last until the end of this part of the exams, "So what's your name? Any special talents? Can you skate? Can you swim? What kind of flowers do you like? Who's your favorite band? Cats or dogs? Where are the other two, anyways? I thought you followed the guy in and I could have sworn I saw the girl running into the forest as well. Do you know their names? Should we search for them? I'm not that great of a tracker... Oooh! Protect the two with him? Ha, what was he thinking? They not only protected themselves, but also him. If he had the time right now, he would be hanging his head in shame. Now wasn't the time to be staring at the ground, however. With everyone leaping into action or running off, the massive group had managed to thin out, and in some ways become easier to read despite the increase in chaos. There were fewer people and many had begun to group into their like-colored clusters.

The pink haired girl had already left him and bunny boy. Rei had just now also managed to confirm that out of everyone still present in this chaotic mess, only one other was a teammate. Okay, that was all that he needed, the bare minimum was to find and keep everyone in the team safe. He dreaded that keeping the team safe and together, in this case, meant charging into the fray of dogs, and straight at what looked like the biggest, scariest one, too, but it needed to be done. No better time than the present.

A trembling hand grasping Coello's wrist, Rei quickly introduced himself, "Rei. I'm Rei. Let's go!" as he stood up, pulling the other boy up with him. Maybe the introduction was a little late, but better than never. Once both were up, he released the hand and motioned for Coello to follow as he ran to the third member of their team before another wolf got at them or, as he suspected that this is what Coello meant when he said there wasn't much time, the first wolf reappeared.

"Hey, red head!" Rei shouted above all the clamor once they were close enough, "With the green eyes." A waving hand made him easy to hand as he approached Mina and the rest of the people she was with, the other hand resting on the handle of his sword. The collar on his neck was clearly visible, glinting the same color as Mina's.

He had seen what Mina was capable of, her barrage of attacks from herself and her clones. Now wasn't the time to be admiring, however. Curtly, he introduced himself, "Rei," and the other, "Coello," pointing with his fingers to indicate who was who, "Unless the rest of our group has already escaped into the forest, I think that's all of us." He looked nervously at the regrouping and, in some cases, literally reforming canines.

Drawing his sword, Rei stood proud and tall despite his fear as he angled the blade to ensure it would catch the light as it was unsheathed then briefly pointed it towards the wolves before pulling it back in one sharp motion until the sword was held right besides his eyes. It was, in a subtle way, almost like some kind of dance, and once the performance was over, he lowered his sword so he could take a loose stance besides Mina. However, the effects of that small show lingered in the air. Mina, Usagi, and even one girl not on Rei's team at all, who he had noticed cowering besides a tree and felt bad for, would receive a small boost of inspiration that would boost their fortitude and quickly replenish their energy (chakra). Seika smirked and didn’t comment about Sumikas outburst and mention of messing of Lahils office, the comment sounded attractive to her at this point. As Sumika started to leave, ascending trees, Seika followed suit, bouncing up the branches and tracing the other girls steps with her own as she went. Tactically this was the smart idea, to get the hell out of here Seika focused her attentions on her surroundings before an awful sensation pulsed it’s way through her as she was struck by Usagis seal at this point, letting out a yell of pain and halting her progress as she suffered the blight these seals had to offer. One second she was following in Sumikas wake contemplating what came next, then she was struck out of nowhere with a sinking sensation before pain wracked her body as she felt her spiritual energies get yanked on and drained away. The hell was going on? Was this part of a the drain Lahil mentioned, or some other trap of the forest.. she didn’t know but this felt nothing but overly harsh in her mindset as she tensed up and yelped from the wracking pain across her body. ”Hey!! Watch out, some sort of traps affecting me, watch yourself, arrgghh.” She expressed loudly for Sumika to hear, gritting her teeth and stopping for a moment, letting her fan go so it could dangle on its cord from her wrist as she quickly started to do some handseals with that hand inside her sleeve, pushing her hand to her chest and relieving herself of the pain and trauma of the injury with the healing hands minor technique, although this wouldn’t prevent rhe concurrent effects, it would stave her off from collapsing... she also was unaware this would keep eating away at her so violently at this point.

Seika was still nothing if not prudent and with the worry this brought her she decided she’d be needing a lot of energy and fast, especially if either of the other two had been afflicted but such a brutal trap. She performed more handseals during the reprieve from the pain that the healing Jutsu provided before creating a single shadow clone and pumping it full of a large portion of her energies(listed below) before allowing it to come into being in a puff of smoke. The clones first actions were to also perform handseals and put a hand against Seika, forcing some extra space into her chakra network and amplifying her natural(not nature) energy flow. After the clone did so Seika prepared another technique, massaging her arms and shoulders after a signal seal and pushing her body into a more relaxed state promoting a rejuvenating effect with a surge of Adrenaline that the technique prompted the clone separating toward the lower branches, Seika catching up to Sumika if she hadn’t come to Seika by this point ”Yashima, are you ok!?” She said, something giving her the idea he might have been affected(due to sensory link?) by this awful trap as well. She felt her own energies increase as she kept prompting it to do so and looked almost apologetic as she did so.... this felt humiliating to a degree, however being concerned about others seemed to be more important, working out what happened was also extremely important, however her lacking experience with sealing technique made her uncertain as to what exactly was going on and she should or could do, her body was now capable of producing a lot of chakra fast, however it was going to bite her shortly for making it so.

tab Looking back over his shoulder as he moved to join the others, Chosuke could see a group of the shadowy wolves coming together to give chase. 'Alright! Bring it on!' he thought. Having successfully dealt with one of the beasts with relative ease, he was feeling quite confident about his ability to fend off the rest of the back. However, rather than rushing him as the previous wolf had, this group seemed to take up some sort of formation. 'Huh? What're they up to?' he wondered. He would quickly get his answer as the wolves, with their combined might, released a series of wave attacks. 'Ah crud.' A physical assault he would have no problem dealing with, but this was going to be a bit tricky.

tab Fortunately, his teammates seemed to well equipped for dealing with such manner. While the older shinobi was able to fend off the attacks with the aid of a clone, he also watched as Kujaku whipped up a mighty gust of wind to surround them and protect them from the wolves' howl. Of course, Chosuke wasn't one to shy away from a challenge and would lend his strength to their defense. After entering into the first gate, The Gate of Opening, he quickly made his way over to Kujaku, taking up a defensive position in front of her to act as a shield for her. He would then put both his arms out to his side, focusing his chakra evenly between them. Moving one arm up and one down before bringing them together in front of him, this spiraling motion would create a swirling force of chakra in front of him. This would would not only block the wave of nauseating energy, but only send it right back at the wolves, turning the wolves' attack against them.

tab With the wolves' assault successfully fended off by the combined efforts of he and his teammates, it was time for him to go on the offensive. Using his clan's Partial Multi-size Technique, Chosuke focused a surge of chakra into his right arm, causing it to grow massive in both length and girth. "AKIMICHI SLAM!" he shouted, lifting his gargantuan arm into the air and bringing it crashing back into the earth with great force. He would then make a wide sweeping motion with the arm, sending a wave of debris hurling towards the pack of wolves. "We should keep moving. I'll take up the rear." he called back to his two teammates as he brought his arm back in front of him, planning to use it as something of a shield to cover his teams advancement into the forest. He would have joined them in the tree but unfortunately, there was no way it could support his current weight with his enlarged arm.

Those within range can have this radiating fearful aura become the trigger for genjutsu, allowing genjutsu to be cast by acknowledging the user. In addition, should an opponent be targeted by a melee technique that is greater in rank than the target's body rank that target has tier two paralysis applied to their legs, requiring it to be broken by Kai equal to the user's body rank, costing the target no activation for that specific instance of kai.

__ The Kotori Smash was mostly effective in dropping several of the inky black wolf monsters into her little canyon, but the tricky buttheads merged and attempted to press their attack. Kotori's Byakugan let her keep track of the trying to climb up the side of the cliff so she reserved that Blaze Eruption punch for it when it peered over the edge. As soon as it inhaled to roar the fire jutsu was thrown from her fist only to fizzle out because of the limiters that the Hokage mentioned earlier. The beast started to roar right in her face as she detected the shark girl's approach. Her teammate, Thresher, countered the roar with a chakra-infused screech of her own. Mina's magnetic chakra wasn't the only that suddenly came to surround Kotori, but at least her peer's chakra seemed intent on helping when it quickly formed a metal barrier to also help ward off the beast's debilitating roar. As it first formed in front of her, Kotori noted the excessively intricate sealing formuli that were forming beneath her and a few others in the immediate area. 'Gotta keep moving!' She thought to herself, not wanting to be made into a caged birdy- even if it was with good intentions from her friend's protective jutsu. Kotori vanished from sight just before metal dome closed around her and the seal was activated by its mysterious creator. Kotori didn't have time to guess who did what and how all the time, but she could use her superior physical ability to her advantage when reacting to dangers. Thresher would feel the rest of the wind knocked out of her as she was dragged back through the air toward where Inohachi was hiding in a tree, landing from their instantaneous flying maneuver in the blink of an eye. Kotori set Thresher down beside her in the tree then turned her gaze back out to the mini warzone that some genin were also fighting on or running from. "Hmm... Kotori thinks she'd rather fight something- or someone stronger. How cool would it be if ALL the wolves did that fusion thingy?! Now THAT would be a fun fight!" Kotori finished saying this little fighting fantasy of her out loud. Then she yelled from up in the tree at Mina who had asked if they were all okay, "We're okay!" Kotori was really glad that the Soren tribe taught her that she couldn't always stand her ground, but there was nothing wrong with taking back any lost ground from the enemy afterward. In fact, sometimes it was actually just more fun to fight that way. They said it was smart, but Kotori didn't understand tactics that well.

With her team's retreat to safety, Kotori looked back to the scared Yamanaka and smiled with an outstretched hand, "Stand up! We're a-okay! If you really don't want to fight them we can go into the forest and see what else there is to beat up instead!" Her confidence was as beaming as her smile, and she wouldn't easily take no for an answer. Kotori helped Inohachi rise to her feet too and awaited the team's census. There would always be things to punch- now or later. Still, Kotori couldn't help but focus her Byakugan on those strange seals that all simultaneously appeared around the battlefield. 'Who made those? Why? What do they do?' These internally short-breathed questions weren't huge mysteries, but she could at least tell they had A LOT of power packed away in them as she watched the metal barrier Mina created start to fall apart due to the chaka being violently drained from that area. Kotori stretched her arms at the shoulders with the limbering rolls at the shoulder, waving them around in little circles at her side to keep the blood pumping with the Gate of Opening still active for the moment. An idea spurred into her head, "Fusion... hmmn." She wondered what it would be like if she could do that sort of thing too. Perhaps it was just another fantasy, but maybe it could become a goal? For now, she just wanted to see what her teammates wanted to do going forward. She stopped stretching and pounded her fists against each other in front of her chest and just grinned eagerly.

Inohachi did as Shikarie asked. One by one she would tap everyone on the forehead, making the connection with each of them. First Shikarie, then Kortori, and thirdly with much hesitation she tapped Trasher."Perfect. Thank you inohachi." Turning to the group she would left one hand. The long sleeve would slide down her forearm and allowed her hand to be shown. With her index finger she would tap on her temple."From now on. If there is any sensitive information you need to discuss with the group do it mentally. At this point, Inohachi has linked our thoughts with one another. This will help us to coordinate and stay in contact with one another while also keeping our plans secret from other who may be listening in. Just.... keep you thoughts to a minimum. Remember we will all hear what you are thinking." With her instructions stated Shikarie dropped her hand. It was then that a giant fireball was hurling towards the giant wolf. A familiar voice was heard from below. Looking to see who it was Mina was waving to the girls wishing them good luck."uhhh yeah."That was all that she could muster out of her mouth before feeling Inohachi grab her hand and yank her away from the tree.

The group proceeded in the formation of Kortori in front followed up Shikarie, then Inohachi, and finally Thrasher. Which was a great suggestion from Trasher herself. This formation would help give the group protection from the front and the back. As they moved Shikarie failed to notice that Thraster slowly falling behind. Suddenly, she could hear Kortori think 'who's that?' Kortori slowed her pace, allowing herself fall back behind Inohachi and herself.'Inohachi, let Kortori handle this. Don't react.' She said telepathically. It was clear that Kortori had noticed something and wanted to handle it. She wanted Inohachi and herself to act normal to help prevent the threat from knowing the group had been alerted to suspicious activity. Although Shikarie didn't know exactly what was happening she trusted Kortori.

Just ask Kotori thought 'Smash time a fog started to roll in."Don't move! We don't want to seperate!" She would shout. Her visibility was low, she couldn't see a thing. She said this, but the enemy was already attempting to seperate them. Hell she wasn't even 100% sure where everyone was. It was then that she could feel the group beneath her boots feel less solid. Kneeling down she touched the group with two fingers and sniffed it. It was mudd. Had it rained that day? Had it even rained recently. Why was the group mudd in this area? Was it the person behind the fog, or was it something else? She couldn't tell. The only things she did know was the fog was created to make it easier for the enemy to pick them all off one by one. Standing back up she still couldn't see a damn thing. And then she heard the words 'Kortori can't see'. Even she's can't see, even with the byuakugan? Lovely."Kortori, before you lost your sight. How many people other than our group did you notice She asked. She needed to come up with a plan and quick.

As Sumika reached the edge of the forest to make her grand getaway, she'd find that all seemed to be going quite well for being in a crazy life or death exam. Although the burning smell would get worse the deeper she went. By the time she reached the ten or fifteen-foot marker it was now overpowering, and it wasn't hard to see why at all. A little ways from her position there was a cloaked figure. From his hands, magic symbols appeared in the air that shot from them and setting the surrounding trees ablaze as if they were made of dry paper! The fire erupted spreading quickly enough that it encircled Sumika and her team. Worse yet, the cloaked figures emerged from this flame. At least several of the ambiguous humanoids could be seen walking unharmed through the fire.

Fist slamming into a metal sand shield caused the head of the great wolf bijuu to reverberate internally, or maybe that was just the terrible screeching coming from all around it. Regardless of its source, the wolf abomination reeled backward as much as its heavy form would allow before being split almost in half by Threshers strike. Just as with the other wolves, however, it's form began to grow from the halfway cut. Mere moments away from creating a second bijuu sized wolf before an interesting fact revealed itself. The flames from Mina's assault left the beast shrieking a terrible cry for everyone still in the arena to hear. However, even a successful attack from these flames was not enough to completely put the animal out of business. Instead, its form bubbled and expanded until it looked as if it were a giant balloon right on the verge of popping, before coming to a complete standstill. The perfect opportunity to retreat... or press their luck for another chance at its defeat?

From under their combined assault, the wolves fell easily. Having their attack redirected left the animals momentarily rendered useless in their state of nausea. Just long enough to be splattered with ink, an ink that left their paws conveniently glued to the ground in preparation for Chosuke's grand slam that shattered the earth into a literal chasm. Unable to escape, the wolves tumbled bodies dropped helplessly underground. However, a few things of proper interest couldn't help but make themselves known First, the earth seemed to open much deeper than what should have seemed possible even for Shosuke to have created by himself, with nothing but pitch blackness for what must have miles and miles dropping into the earth's core. Second, from among the group of wolves all falling, the body of one seemed to completely dissolve. In its place? A solid gold star flashing it's bright golden light for all three genin to see.

"This one, a Yozen by the name of Hasaki, claims to be from our most recently acquired territory, the Lands of Tea. Two Shinobi academies are standing in the Lands of Tea, neither sent representatives for this exam, though both sent me correspondence about the exams. They hope to host the next exams with an event spanning the distance between their villages." The Emperor said as he turned the tablet to face Masato as well, a chuckle passed his lips as the Fifteenth Hokage gave her Military Advisor a gentle ribbing.

"The other, I am unsure of, but there are a few candidates from among the gathered. I do not have a roster of the Current Konoha students, nor official arrivals from Arashigakure. I am wary of the blind combatant, but his capabilities seem to match the others on the field. The one I am most concerned with, however, I have seen her using skills far beyond the limitations you have placed on this field. Meaning either, A: They're cheating, or B: their keys to this field are rigged." Masahiro said, his crimson eyes stared across the field, traced where the fuuin the girl had activated had gone off, before he touched her pictures on the tablet to bring her recent actions back to view.

"She introduced herself as Usagi. She's been utilizing much, much more powerful abilities than anyone on the field than anyone ought, without so much as drawing your wards. Infinite Embrace and Hiraishin, those are both S-Rank Shinobi jutsu." The Hatake noted, as he turned the tablet again to the pair.

"Are either of these your plants?"

not twenty seconds into her intended movements of ditching the start line did she find out she had not successfully left everyone behind, matching collar, meaning matching “team.” Hasaki peered with a sidelong look at Jack who took the silent concept of a shinobi and turned it inside out, with a slew of information, approximately 12% of the information was relevant and then their was the rest. Maybe a few years younger than herself at most and as friendly with a person she’d never met as Hasaki would be with her ferrets, it almost caused her to be taken aback. She looked forwards, eyeing out for traps as she listened to the introduction and ensuing information and questions galor. The most valuable and useful information provided short of the girls name was the fact she could use some medical techniques, which was basically perfect for their squads formations but more so the pair of them backed by her animals should mean that most problems this exam might offer would be not too much of a bother. This meant that she would have to play ball and be polite, which was fine, this girl seemed a little more good natured than most so she wasn’t the west Konoha shinobi she could be paired with.

Hasaki opened her mouth to respond to Jack, although hesitantly as she started which might have made her seem nervous but this was actually due to the fact their other squad member had made a sudden coarse changed then dropped off of Jills radar and by extension Hasakis. ”Jack you prefer then? I’m Hasaki Yozen, Me and my fur balls are from the land of tea, glad to be able to work with the fire nations main shinobi, bet you can show me a thing or two being directly from Konoha and not a bumpkin like me.” She spoke in a slightly less segmented structure as Jack and with only about 40% the enthusiasm as her. That still mean Hasaki was plenty enthusiastic as she spun as she jumped between two branches to put her hands together and gave a small bow toward Jack before landing backwards on the next branch and turning forwards again that leap. It would be hard to recognize the Shinto religion style greeting being done in midair to someone who might be unfamiliar with Shinto follower, this didn’t prevent Hasaki doing this anyway before she continued, addressing jacks questions(most of them) before getting round to asking her own, her voice more upbeat than her disdained introduction when she arrived, her accent being comparable to a more country one with a tint of the twang but more and articulated as the accent might suggest.

”So I’m a musician and a ninja, I’m not exactly physically in league with even your average shinobi and thus have to rely greatly on my partners! But as a worshiper of Oinari I’m at gifted with the ability to draw out strength and bless others! I’m a musician and an animal trainer ontop of that! Uhhh I like guys or girls about my height and who respect nature and lives! Ohh I do tattoo, all mine were self done, I have like 33 or so although the 13 stripes up each half of my body maybe only count as two? I can ice skate but not any other way uhmmm I can swim, I have no particular favourite flower although I suppose you could say I have a thing for poppies, the highway boys were my favourite band.” She said, most of the words true even if only half true and from when she really did reside in the land of tea when she was younger. She made sure her hand on Jacks side was visible as writing slithered along it as she began to casually mold chakra as she spoke “The other girl left so fast I couldn’t follow, the guy who’s name I don’t know... but we are currently following according to Jills nose, so I’m sure if we keep on this route we will find him, he just moves VERY fast compared to someone physically inferior like myself.” She lied casually, smiling reassuringly before raising her hand to bring attention to the writing and marking as at this point she’d prepared the techniques she needed too ”So if you are capable of medical Jutsu, then I think we could help each other through this, if you’ll allow me to touch you I can temporarily grant you gifts of Oinari, making us both more likely to make it through this, they will last quite a bit, if you can help my regain some of the chakra I expend, so stay near me and help me support my Ferrets, these blessing will also be quite beneficial to use both if you will allow me... any marking created I can of coarse remove afterwards!” She offered as with the hand she touched her own neck and shoulder area on either side with a tap each time, two tattoos, one of a fire and one of a lighting covered ferret appeared in either location, slowly morphing out of the chakra spreading along her skin along with the writing of the sealing Techniques beneath stretching down her arms. Quite casually she deactivated the seals of o-Inari she’d given Usagi, having served the purpose in creating a link between the two of them for her two bodies one mind technique, she need to focus her sealing powers on Jack instead. As expected much of the visual effects were nearly impossible to see of this would not be visible, however at least part of these tattoos and markings would show themselves on where her skin was exposed, although not created by her seal of the Oinari and just casual manipulation of her own body art as this act was to demonstrate what she intended to do to Jack and that it was harmless. Now reaching her hand out toward Jack to touch her shoulder if Jack would allow Hasaki to do so the following things would happen. Firstly markings would start to appear and then a tattoo of a serpent would could into creation and reach across to jacks other shoulder down to her elbow, marking her with the Seal of o-Inari and blessing her with the same techniques Hasaki had blessed herself with. If allowed to do this, Hasaki would mutter a very short prayer as she did so beseeching strengh be granted to Jack! If Jack refused, these gifts would be going to Jill instead.

Sniffing at the air as she went Jill became puzzled as her quarry dropped off of her nasal radar and this bothered the ferret as it meant she could impress her master. She exhaled in annoyance and also to indicate she’d lost the boy and thusly continued to lead them diagonally away from the laps last position but still advancing peacefully forwards. Jill ignored her masters banter and instead focused on keeping her nose out for foreign scent or even scent to indicate the presence of others or lingering scents that might indicated some sort of traps possible placements and would adjust her coarse mildly upon any such signs to lead the group into avoiding said potential areas

Upon noticing the new member to their formation, the Protector type Ferret summon positioned itself between its summoner and Jack, staying a just behind the two of them so as to provide protective cover, the Bruiser assisting by taking the position ahead of Jack allowing her to benefit from the protectors gaze so it could do its namesake for them both, the formation ensuring both of the shinobi were within ten feet of each ferret (meaning Jack gets +1 agility boost for the leader, bruiser and protector as long as the protector remains within ten feet of her, for each of said ferrets of our that reach reduce bonus by 1) the lead ferret making sure that jack knew this blue]”Lady Jack you gotta stay near us you see! Miss protector has all our backs but stay within five arms reach of us and you’ll be safe, DATS A PROMIZ!!! RIGHT GUYZ???!” it yelled with a yell of conformation from the other two summoned ones and an attempt to ignore his personality by the summoner.

Skill Modification [ Sukiru Shūsei ] | Rank X
The user targets themselves or a target opponent. The user is able to enhance or ravage the abilitity of the target's physical techniques. For two posts per applied rank, if an opponent is targeted their taijutsu and bukijutsu techniques are considered two ranks lower in power during collisions while the user or allies taijutsu and bukijutsu techniques are treated as one rank higher if they are enhanced. This technique must be executed at the rank of the target's body rank.

For six posts, any target that has had a tattoo created by the user on their person in the past that is within the subforum shares a telepathic link as well as a spiritual bond, allowing them to sense the others resources, emotional states, ect. While within the same topic as one another, these two may exchange resources between one another, giving up to their own body rank equivalent per post.

Seal of Ō-Inari [ Fuuin no Ō-Inari ] | Rank X
The user channels chakra into their hand, coating it in their chakra. For two posts per rank of the technique the user's physical contact with any target allows them to apply a fuuinjutsu technique or clan technique on that target as well as creating permanent tattoos to willing targets. Tattoos applied unwillingly must be removed with the flesh, surgically or removed by another clan member and allow fuuinjutsu techniques and clan techniques cast by the user to be applied directly to the target for two posts per rank of the applied technique. This technique must be paid equally in rank to the highest body rank among targets if used for several targets.


• Inscribed Flesh | The Yozen can create any and all seals, and therefore cast any sealing technique - no matter how intricate or complex - upon their skin without handseals. This alternative method for Fuuin must still adhere to the alternative jutsu casting clause as chakra must still be gathered to accomplish a technique as a seal isn't instantly created. In addition, with one-touch and one action, the Yozen is able to summon up to three creatures from a contract for only the chakra cost of the highest-ranked creature summoned.
• Ō-Inari Incarnate | While in the Unleashed Stage of the Blessings of Ō-Inari forbidden seal, the living tattoos conjured by the Tea Spirit Guardian Technique can have corrupted nature chakra applied to them to make all attacks they use overwhelming. The corrupted nature chakra must pay for half of the cost of the Tea Spirit Guardian Technique when cast.
• Sacrosanct Seal | Forbidden Seals, including Blessings of Ō-Inari, owned by this rpc have an additional 100 corrupted nature chakra stored in their seal. Additionally, by rejecting that forbidden seals/curse marks are curses at all, the Yozen clansmen are able to keep full summoning contracts while having the Blessing of Ō-Inari and any other forbidden seal

Whenever successfully biting a into a foe the user may pay an addition action and the cost of this technique, this results in the opponent being considered grappled and the suffer a -1 to their strength and endurance until the round after they are released(this stacks with other ferrets using this technique). This grapple may be maintained each round for an e-ranked cost and one activation.

Sly leader sly | rank C | spiritual |
With this Jutsu a squad leader may transform him and his allies for no additional cost into smaller versions of themselves more fitting their species at a house ferrets size. This Jutsu blocks them from being noticed by sensory techniques, needing a b-ranked sensor or greater to locate them at an e-ranked upkeep; If paying an additional c rank in chakra them may also do this to an additional fully size person(meaning they become a ferret). If the upkeep is not paid the sensory blocking effect will fade and next turn any non ferrets will return to their normal form and size, ferrets can retain the size indefinitely. A shinobi may pay these costs themselves. At this size buki/taijutsu are off limits.

Description: Talkative and more intellectual than the other two, this ferret prides itself on sticking close to someone and keeping them and others on their toes and aware of danger. They only distance themselves from the summoner by more than ten if completely certain of the summoner being safe without them. They crave attention and are aggressively protective. Some have clothes some don’t. Capable of speech if not writing

Ability: guardian Make the other ferrets and others aware of any impending dangers. For each ferret out of the squadron that are within ten feet of the summoner or other comrades gain a + 1 increase in agility. A person can only benefit from the effects of one squadron giving these increases, however if their are two or more full squadrons then the ferrets will also benefit from these bonuses and increases the range it extends by 5 feet per squadron above 2. As a result whilst this ability is active the ferret in question looses an activation due to the attention it much pay and time relaying information. They are about the size of a Great Dane.

If they have not successfully defended their charge they will they resort to trying to save or heal their charge by licking the point of the wound and channeling healing chakra into their tongue allowing them to alleviate two tiers of trauma OR one tier of any other status affecting the person in question. Due to this not being a focussed or skilled healing technique it cal only be used to a persons status tier by 2 levels besides trauma. (Meaning if you had tier 3 paralysis, this could be used to effective heal two ranks of that in two activations, however could never fully cure the person. If tier 4 then they could reduce it too tier two. Time or other sources are needed to cure beyond that level, having two of these ferrets doing this will allow up to 3 tiers cured after four uses but can never fully resolve four tiers no matter how much or many ferrets lick you.)

With this Jutsu a squad leader may transform him and his allies for no additional cost into smaller versions of themselves more fitting their species at a house ferrets size. This Jutsu blocks them from being noticed by sensory techniques, needing a b-ranked sensor or greater to locate them at an e-ranked upkeep; If paying an additional c rank in chakra them may also do this to an additional fully size person(meaning they become a ferret). If the upkeep is not paid the sensory blocking effect will fade and next turn any non ferrets will return to their normal form and size, ferrets can retain the size indefinitely. A shinobi may pay these costs themselves. At this size buki/taijutsu are off limits.

tab Coelle allowed himself to be pulled along by Rei without much more of a compliment besides a gently squeaked meep! at the sudden forced movement. Not that he would complain if given the chance. As much as Coello loathed himself for his perceived 'weak prey' nature, his courage had very much ended with making that shadow wolf disappear. His mind still a flush with so many different types of emotions, it took the bunny a moment before he felt it. Small at first, a shake, a tremble, light as a breath he almost missed it. A quick glance down and Coello saw it, Rei had felt fear just as he had at that moment. The realization, once it sunk it, left the bunny stupefied. He looked at the boy with a new set of eyes. But he looks so strong... IS so strong. How could he possibly be scared?

Coello wanted to help, believed that he could. The concept of overcoming trials by oneself, to grow through their experience, was still a foreign concept the mostly animal boy. Unfortunately, or perhaps, fortunately, depending on your point of the view. Contact was broken and Coelle lost his chance, the Bunny himself being much too timid to touch him of his own accord. So instead he followed, faithfully bouncing behind the swordsman whilst trying to keep his ears strapped to his head to keep them from bouncing and bobbing. So enthralled was in following his brand new buddy that the bunny didn't even realize that he was heading straight into the thick of things!

Almost absentmindedly running into both of his teammates, Coello's eyes easily doubled to the size of dinner plates when he stared deadpan into the pitch-black void that was the body of the shadow wolf. He was so close now he could practically count the distance between them on his pinky toes! The poor boy was left quite literally on the verge of hyperventilating before the red-haired girl come to his rescue, albeit in a roundabout way, by dealing with the wolf before he became a threat. Or an even bigger threat that is. Offering up a quick prayer to whatever god had seen fit to bless him in these exams, the bunny quickly pipped up. "So that means we can go right? The big guy is down and a bunch of the others left the field! R-right Rei...? And...?" He faltered, realizing that he didn't yet by what name to address his other teammate. Either way, his point still stood. Coello did not want anything to do with whatever this black bubble was, in fact, the boy was more than happy just chalking it up as a win and vamoosing.

Nothing Up My Sleeve | Rank X (Used at B-rank)
Like most of Coello's jutsu, nothing Up My Sleeve is preformed via Coello's performance type (magic act) as opposed to handsigns. First revealing both of his sleeves to be empty, Coello will say the magic words "Nothing Up My Sleeve" to activate the effect. Physical contact with either man or chakra substance after the magic words have been said will cause a single target to "disappear" from existence for one post per rank of this technique. The rank of jutsu must always equal the rank of the jutsu it is erasing or the body rank of person themselves. When augmented with Sleight Of Hand, this ability can now be used at range, under the condition that it is the only activation the user can make in that post. ( Living beings vanished with this tecqniue are briefly immune to movemt impairing effects on the post that they 'return' )

The true power of the magician is that nothing is ever what you think it is. This keystone upgrades any of Coello's jutsu to provide an additional effect as listed in its description. This jutsu itself does not consume an additional activation to perform these effects, but a cost must still be paid to do so, and is always equal to its parent jutsu. When used with multiple jutsu this way this cost must be replicated for each. (This keystone is not affected by any chakra reduction effects).

The burning smell grew as they moved, but Sumika's suspicions about that were beginning to be confirmed. She busied herself for the moment making sure Seika could keep up, applying a bit of assistance with one of her Magnet Release techniques to the girl, trying to focus on making sure she didn't accidentally trip the medic up. Sumika may have lacked decorum, respect, and a sense of duty, honor, patriotism, or shame but she was not incompetent in a fight. Most of the time. It probably helped that this wasn't a particularly spectacular genjutsu. No one else had mentioned burning, and if she was running headlong into fire from some sort of jutsu she'd expect Yashima to have had some kind of heads up considering they were all tied together with sensory abilities. A genjutsu that attempted to isolate the subject normally required a lot of work, hence why Sumika largely balked at the prospect of learning them.

Luckily she had an extra set of eyes to confirm on her own, as Festertooth popped out of the dirt on what was theoretically the other side of the fire and instantly poofed away to be replace by his elder, the human sized Palefur. In her training Sumika hadn't found it necessary to tell Palefur to act specifically. He generally did it himself, but now he darted up into the trees to intercept her. If any of this was there for him, or real, he'd have possessed one of the cloaked figures attacking without a second thought. She kai'd the genjutsu a moment later. Good thing Sumika was far too overconfident to actually panic about anything that was sensible to panic about? Water? Sure, she'd have panicked there. Hated that crap. Rusty s**t? Yeah, probably. Everything else? Nah. Her foot planted on the next branch and she continued. Could have picked a worse pairing of people, honestly, if they were going to make it challenging. "They could at least try to kill someone for real instead of pelting us all with pebbles. Keep an eye out for whatever, Master Splinter." She said as the big rat grimaced and protested. "Why do you continue to call me this?" She waved a hand in his direction dismissively. "You made me go without lunch for a whole day listening to your stories. Plus, ain't like anyone else is lining up to let y'all out an about. You can go back to not having ramen on my dime if you want."
