~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~
What sheer surprise. With all the effort on standing up to the man sitting across from her, the last thing Sasselia had expected, was an agreement on something. In all honesty, she had him pegged to be pessimistic towards such a question. During the whole conversation so far, there was no fore seeing some kind of opening to be somewhat more tranquil towards. Then again, he had after all, had given sound advice. Despite the mean first impression.. If he were willing to give advice that made sense, and had even agreed to some form of agreement, then he perhaps was not so vocally uncouth she had pegged him out to be. If he could be willing to agree to something, then, in her mind, she could be willing to attempt herself into calming down better, and ease off the tension that was constantly being caused by the prickliness. There was one plus side to consider out of the situation for that matter, which was her lacking the properties of readin his mind. A stroke of luck for him, to be able to hide his own attempts of imperfections behind the stern face of a mask. He was hiding those imperfections most excellent. Sasselia had those temptations to try and unfold the mask away for the sake of testing for some light to life, but she was not that sort of huntress. In her own state of progression, she could only hope their conversation could warm up as much as her delicious tea, with the essence of it's calming qualities to match. That was more preferable than the icy coldness she was hit with first off. A luxury it was to see they were speaking a lot better than she had anticipated. One could rest assure their conversing could possibly take a much better turn, should it remain on the agreed amount of good faith.
At first, having spoken on second chances, such a thing had almost been believed to tense things up again. Such a thing Sasselia had managed to hide with a small squeeze of her hands. It was perhaps to her giving too much information on her end, shaking her head mentally from bringing her father into the conversation. Bringing him up would only add more calamity. Ever since the death of her mother, he had never been the same since. All these long years of dealing with his indifference had surely shown just another victim in the destruction of Vaccuo. This only made it somewhat awkward, more so towards that point. Kai's advice on what to do in that sort of situation was an easier said than done sort of ideal, Sasselia had appreciated it nonetheless. Without too much of addition of commentary, her voice had been about to quiver with another comment, though the young woman had managed to bite that comment back, forcing herself to smile it all away. Something about the way he had commented on her interests towards being a huntress however, had changed that fake smile to a real one, her almost watery eyes having quickly dried. "A fire? I'll admit... I-I am wondering if that fire could become an inferno. That way I know, I am able to be unstoppable against the fate trying to stop me. I shall.. Do my best, to make sure they stay their business with their own. It would be a l-lovely concept to have in my imagination for sure." Her father? Leave her affairs alone? The very idea was all too imaginative to be hopeful about. The man practically delved and oozed with an aura that permeated coldness, with goals she could, nor would ever, be alright with accepting easily. "I am not a mistake to be pawned off to a stranger..."
After taking the last few bites of her biscuits, she was famished to try more. Appetizing they had been, Sasselia would have loved to order at least two more, though the thought had been swept aside by more current topic. There was the promise, and the promise was to be kept. Such a thing though had to require a more clear head. With a big gulp of tea, Sasselia had braced her own self. Ther final push for her to speak had been confirmation from Kai on remaining silent until she was done. Funny thing out of all of this though... Would her believe her story at all? It was so crazy, she could surely come off as someone needing some rest and relaxation away from the world. "Inhale...... Exhaaale....." "O-okay.."
Taking in a small amount of oxygen, and releasing, she planted her own hands on the table, palms flat. One rested on top of the other, forcing her own eyes to stare ahead for as long as she were able. Intense green emeralds, glistening bright with a keen wanting of information... Of understanding on an unforeseen event they had only the slightest inkling of understanding towards.
"Y-you see... That mission of failure... Was.... Was under my own workings. It was me. W-well... Not JUST me... But there was a lot more occurance of deception that had been played into it. You see... Myself, and one other student... An upperclassman, had been brought together for securing the life of another. Originally, it was to be a teacher to have guided the mission for other means... Only the plans had been switched. My upperclassman, and my team, had been lowered to just two of us." Thinking on her words in contemplation, Sasselia had continued on, squeezing her hands more.
"A student had been kidnapped by forces unknown, aside from physically, just as we were gathering up. A woman, whose looks were too difficult to tell because of a cowl and mask. We only discovered their presence somewhat by the tone of their voice giving them away. We had referred to them as a Phantom. Such an accurate word. All too close to the surreal description. I'll never forget the calamity through all of this. All to save a fellow student, we had pursued, to fall into cataclysm with lancers and destruction towards the city itself by grimm. Trying all we could... The situation had only increased on the levels of ruin. The... The phantom woman..." With a pause, Sasselia had braced herself. "The woman had turned into a nevermore. A-all too crazy to hear, but there was no second guessing what had been seen before me. Not to mention... The familiar bone-chattering shriek. The wings of death as dark as the night sky. The creature... The creature had tried to fly away with the student in it's talons. With a joint effort between my upperclassman, her robotic companion, and myself.. We had defeated the nevermore, with the final blow drawn, oddly enough.. By the very person we were battling heart and soul to save. By the time the phantom and the nevermore had been defeated however.... I-I don't understand the rest very well. All I can really say on this matter.... I think there was something more going on than even I could ever imagine."
Frowning partially with worry Sasselia had grown slightly more tense. "I think the whole ordeal was a set up. Not specifically for me.. Th-that much I know. I-I had no idea the "nevermore" I had been fighting... Had been an aircraft for military. The moment the nevermore had disappeared.... Everything had been shifted away from our favor. The ruin and destruction... The apparent grimm.... It was as if the whole thing was meant to scapegoat us. For reasons... I am unclear of. All I know, was that there is indeed someone out there, with illusions so real, that it managed to cloak reality out of our grasp. I swear on my very life as a huntress... I had no idea of the dangers hiding underneath the depths. I was there to rescue a fellow student. I had no intentions on destroying a thing. I had put so much into the mission I could have fallen to my death not once, but twice, and all for saving a life. My regrets are heavy. Not so towards my classmate I had assisted on saving, but on the destruction it had caused, and the fact I could have killed someone on that military ship for the sake of being pulled into someone else's trap." Looking down at her lap, Sasselia was done speaking finally, her shoulders tensing up entirely. She awaited a response from the man across from her, scoping through her mind for any other kind of intel she could say. The one thing she did recall however, was the white winged angelic woman, who had faced Maria, Kendall, and Feralis. She left that part out intentionally, on account of the dangers behind speaking on it. Classified more so than anything else, it was a safe bet on leaving that detail out. Hoping she hadn't said too much as it was, she mostly eyed Kai once more, seeing what he had to say about it.
❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞
                                                              Kai was confident he was getting through to her and honestly he hoped so. When you are doing things, obstacles always will come but only those who are undetermined become stopped by obstacles. Advice from Kai, at least in the nicer form that he was provided in this situation, was rare for him. It honestly was due to who she was and the situation that was playing out at the tea shop. He had to be particularly careful with regard to some things. He wasn't an idiot. He knew how to de-escalate. Either way, he was happy with the end result. He wanted to comment. He wanted her not to have it in imagination but to make it a reality but he knew was no need. It was just better to let it slide for now. "Right. It's your business, not theirs" He would simply add. Now, it was time.
                                                              Kai's eyes were staring intently at Sassellia as she was heading into what occurred. He wasn't going to interrupt just like she asked. He was going to hear it through to the end. He wasn't worried about her lying. He didn't feel she had the capacity to lie. Especially someone who still needed a backbone. That didn't mean anything when it came to omitting details. Kai personally felt she was going to explain it all and she didn't. However, he didn't know that. Far as he knew, this was all the details. She was taking responsibility for the failure of the mission, but that lead Kai to wonder exactly what was the mission, to begin with?
                                                              As he listened, there were many things that didn't make sense. Some that sounded like complete make-believe that even his poker face cracked a little to look at Sassellia with a harsh face of disbelief. When she was done, he would sit back in his chair and wait a moment. Silence would fill between the two. With a cough, Kai would start. "If you expect me to fully believe this whole story one hundred percent.....then you must be out of your mind. Especially with the last bit of information. That doesn't make any logical sense what so ever! However, I am willing to give the benefit of a doubt..Only because I doubt you have the ability to make up such an enigmatic story off top of your head in such a short time. Especially in front of someone that could be seen as aggressive like myself. " So he did believe her? Well, it was more Kai wouldn't and couldn't erase the possibility. Not yet at least.
                                                              Illusion semblances are nothing new. At the same time, this chick could just be psychotic just like the Kitsune that's living in the forest. However, there are so many motives for this. Who would want to get Beacon Students in trouble? The headmaster was good on that on his own. Maybe it was because he been so elusive in getting removed and someone wanted to take a more imposing stance? Same time, someone from the outside could be using this to cause inner chaos. he would think. Looking at her, he would finally continue his point. "You are a smart girl and in the making to be a fabulous huntress. Your timid nature is an issue but today its an ally.....you wouldn't attack without confirming a target I am sure. For this,...was there anything else that occurred? Was there any other opposition besides the phantom? Maybe another person? A bystander that looked suspicious? An overseer to make sure that the bait was taken?"
                                                              The mood was definitely changing. The situation was intense but the gravity in the air wasn't as heavy. It wasn't a major push. Kai's demeanor was also more softened. Usually it would be more harsh but maybe it was because Sass responded with more of a less aggressive but still pushing nature that he was able to. It wasn't a butting of heads but more ....a civilized conversation and debate. They were hearing each other out. Now why he couldn't do that with Jackie? Maybe because her head was as fiery as her semblance. That also made him curious about something. The way the maiden promised on her life as a huntress, something she was fighting hard to do from what he was seeing. A person who didn't want it with her personality would of given up by now. Called it quits and be a dishwasher. "What obstacles...are in your way for being a huntress? I already called out a few but is there anything else you would say is in the way? Maybe, I can help you with that aspect. If you smart enough take the help" Kai was being serious. If lacking technique, he could help. If lack of battle prowess or just experience he would help there too. Now, was Sassellia going to be honest with him fully? That remains to be seen!
~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~

The more Sasselia could think back, the more she was trying to steel her nerves. The whole thing, after all, had left more marks to her mentally than she could ever admit. She had a gun aimed at her, after crashing inside a building through, when she was unable to fight back. She had been interrogated with questions she would never to this day be able to answer, without the exact details to follow behind it all. How much risk was the whole ordeal as it was, for her to be speaking out on it. Sasselia had checked every conjecture in head, and every vocal point of linguism she could, in order to avoid giving away too much. Hell, her legs were still containing their shaking pain from that fight, and the burden of helplessness had been layered on her shoulders like a heavy cloth. Never had the young woman ever witnessed something more terrifying then a grimm, than a man with a gun aimed at her. A man from the military, sworn to protect Vale with their lives, with deadly intent aimed at her when she was down. Surely at the time, there was explanation for their actions, having been towards impressing a stronger entity of rank. How could one have said no to a higher ranking squadmate? Sometimes the military was horrible. Such a thing was a lesson she had learned that day. Not all military personnel was vigilant in their duty, especially when the one higher up was enough to coerce another for reasons of ridiculousness. Sasselia still couldn't have been able to figure out who was the one in charge. Of course, there could have been no one else but the faunus woman.
There was no surprise there as she had finished that there was speculation. Sasselia didn't blame Kai one bit. After her explanation, and all the retelling of the story, she had been beginning to believe she was sounding like a lunatic. Heck, even his voiced had resounded with the same tone as she knew would happen. That was reason enough for her however, for the young woman to make a look of surprise across the table, when his choice of words had been contradicting towards himself. He called himself aggressive? Sasselia had him more pegged for intense, rather than aggressive, but the story had been told, and he was on a sup par level of belief with it. "B-believe me... I only wish it had less chaos to it. It was only supposed to be an investigation, based on the original intent. The fact a kidnapping could cause this much calamity however still leaves me in this confliction. How much is truly safe to say on top of it all. I was in enough trouble already by personal and military affairs for even having been a part of the chaos. I am unsure if what I have said already was a wise decision as it was. I just wish to avoid anymore conflict that can interfere with my studies and my future."
That small bit was a full on truth, and with a tiny sigh, the young woman had downed a lemon biscuit in one bite, just to focus on the lemon taste of tartness. Why couldn't the whole thing have been much more simple!? Of course, this was her life. Nothing was ever simple like it should have been. Even more so, when Kai had progressed it further with more questions. "Oh no..."

How could she honestly forget? There were too many that had been around, carrying an impactful amount of negativity and stress on their shoulders. Even the reasons were everywhere for that matter, especially in the cases towards her having almost killed them all on the ship. Such a feat would have costed astronomical damage on her half. They were all alive, which had been the only plus side out of it all. As for his question, she had shuddered from all the faces that day. " Too many to count. Aside from being rudely apprehended by a threatening man with a gun.. A bunch of angry soldiers... There was only one who stood out, based on events that had transpired. The team I was assisting had... Turned their fighting attention on a military personnel. I don't know who they were... They were beautiful... Snow veiled white schemes, complimented by a face of cold and fragile exterior. There was no illusions by the time they had arrived. There was also the confusion of the team fighting that same person. I was apprehended by this time, and based off the callousness and tension that had picked up from the group as I way taken away... There was a full on killing intent from the damsel that had been saved especially. What was truly bothersome though... Was the woman in white especially. The... T-the moment they were f-facing the team I w-was working with... There... Th-there was no m-mistaking the look they carried.... A-as if the ones before h-her were... Simply w-weeds... That needed to be stomped on."
Having finished, Sasselia could only watch him by that point, in hopes of trying to understand him. Why was he taking such interest in this incident now? At first, it was about defending her school and herself from his backbiting opinions. This topic had more progression of confusion towards the regard of it's point. There was no point of her dwelling through more into it. "
I only wish I could set my ease towards another of suspicion. This woman stuck out more than others that day. I only wish I did not possess the fear of a military personnel being suspicious. It is a complete oxymoron, considering the conflict I had caused without knowing."

"I just have ridiculous bad luck it seems."

If only such a topic had been refrained from calming the atmosphere around them. Though things were settling, there was only that small bit of realization she concurred to feeling. Only when Sasselia had noticed it herself had she smiled a bit with contemplations of her own on everything so far. It was when he had hit back on her obstacles had she shut down a little, attempting to hide that problem behind a smile. He was offering to help? If he only knew what the root of the problem was. She only just met the man. Telling him about her father's crazy antics for her future was only going to make things awkward. Unless Kai was a man desperate for marriage, there was no helping into such an outrageous situation. "That's...."
Could she actually tell him? Fidgeting, she could only think of the best possible solution to say right off the hop of her mind, hoping it could be acceptable enough. "It's just family concerns is all. They uhm... They're too afraid for my life in trying to accomplish such a goal. They d-don't think I can do it. My brother's are only sub par on their skills as is... They're.. Strong? I would somewhat believe. They think I am too weak to be trying." Nervously laughing, Sasselia could only try and swallow down the anxiety, though was surprised he was offering to help to begin with. Leaving out the stuff about her father had to be crucial. There was no dragging anyone into such a messy situation. They wre the obstacle of all obstacles. "I do wish... To get better. I want to become a strong huntress... Not... Someone's pawn. Not some one's toy... I want to become a huntress, and become someone my mother could be proud of."

Though the waitress/owner of the tea shop had been busy with a couple new customers, she had been keeping an eye on the earlier commotion. Relieved at least to see that the original upset had died down into civilized discussion. "Good, let's hope it stays civil," Yukiko thought before going in to check on their orders. When the head chef inquired about the earlier events, she reassured him that all was calm for now. "Thank you, Ichi-kun." As she took the orders on the large serving tray, Yuki smiled and walked out with familiar feline grace.

With a full tray on her left shoulder and palm of her hand, she would walk over to the blue-haired maiden and blond young man. A kind smile crossed her lips as she approached.
"Their talk sounds pleasant enough," Yukiko thought absently when she was in earshot but, made no comment as of yet until she was before the table that they now shared. The water with lemon had been served to the gentleman first. "Hm, sounds more eventful than my years there..." The tigress stated mostly to herself before placing down Sass' order before the young woman delicately. "Alright, darling, here's your strawberry dango and small green tea mochi," She stated kindly, the tray balanced on her shoulder and palm still.

She would then turn to the young man at the table.
"Let's see if we get this right," Yukiko thought, remembering she'd almost forgotten last time he came to visit. "And here's your strawberry shortcake with extra strawberries and whip cream on top, small chocolate mochi, and half dozen chocolate chip cookies." As she stated each one, she set down the exact order before the blond with the same delicacy as she had with Sass'. Orders set, she would look to them both politely, tray now held before her like one would a book. "Anything else I can get you?" She inquired professionally, if not, she would leave her customers to enjoy their orders...

❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞

                                                              So, what exactly should someone do? What would Kai do given the situation that was explained to him? It seemed that there was an active disturbance in the whole thing. In fact, there seem to be too many things that Kai found fishy with the mission the blue-haired maiden was on. He understood that there was no such thing as a standard mission anymore. Anything could happen, but the set up that occurred to the poor girl was something too masterful. Too calculated. She was simply a pawn in a grander scheme. What is that scheme though? he would think to himself. The thoughts going through his head allowed Kai to ignore the bell. To ignore the fact others were coming in to dine as well. The place was getting busier but Sassellia had his complete focus. Now, what was he going to say? The only thing that he could. He gave her the benefit of a doubt.
                                                              Don't be so shocked. All the logical answers are gone. Either I consider your information illogical or the full truth. I can't accept either...so All I did was meet you halfway he thought in response to her expression.

                                                              "I'm not going to tell anyone. I also not an officer of Vale so I have no reason to escalate this higher. It's none of my business. This isn't Vacuo. My business is you. You want to be a huntsman and I want you to succeed and not waste such talent I feel you have. So for that, you can not worry. I do agree with your conflict. For now, keep it in the back of your head but do not worry about it. The thing about grand schemes, they are meant to be revealed. If this is an end to a means, we are going to see it in due time." Kai didn't know if she understood what he meant, but he hoped she at least knew how to pretend to not let it bother her. The position she was in had to be frightening he was sure but that was the job of huntsmen. This was what she was going to have to deal with....for the most part. Before he could continue, the Faunus had returned with their treats. A smile graced his lips as she went over the orders. A simple nod would suffice from Kai showing that the order was correct.

                                                              Listening back to Sassellia explain the enigmas of the event, he would take note of the white veiled one and the fact the military was heavily involved. "Deadly intent from another. Different being on the other side of a deadly weapon? Training is one thing because you expect mercy in the end. They didn't seem to have that same thought process here. " He explained before tapping his chin. "You know. ,.unlimited resources. Dangerous weapons. The military is exactly who to not trust. You believe it all safe, but they have more than the capability to wipe out most. Without question. That uneasiness. Keep it." He would comment before digging into his plate. The extra strawberries were the best thing he could have done in this situation! Popping two to three in his mouth from his fork, he would Scarff them down before going back to the topic at hand.

                                                              He would continue eating but began to slow down more and more he heard. She is using a different pattern he thought to himself as he would end up stopping. It was only a slight cue. One to let it be known she was hiding something. After a few moments, he would pick it back up and go back to eating. He wasn't going to confront her. It had to be something deeper. She didn't lie. It was family-related, but there had to be a bigger obstacle in the way. The pawn part threw him off as well. To be a pawn but to not be a huntress? Wouldn't she be a better pawn with status? As a famous huntress? It wasn't adding up. However, it was so trivial that Kai wouldn't ever think marriage was part of the problem!

                                                              " Considering you are gaining closer and closer to your goals, I would find it hypocritical and highly disturbing that they think you can't do what is already being done. In essence, you are just missing experience and qualifications. You technically already at your goal... depending upon one's views. " He started before pointing his fork at her. "Still, I would rule it more as jealousy. The weakling shy girl of the family is the one becoming the big bad huntress. The one with skill while they are lacking trying to catch up. .. To get stronger.. I offer my services. I live near the outskirts so grim to practice on while also practicing my technique. Always open for you....but I must say I am confused. What do you mean by someone's toy? Hardly consider one with weapons and the ability to kill to be viewed as a toy......You are young so I hope it not the other option. That's usually saved for older women near middle age and desperate... Is someone trying to make you a concubine for their own pleasure? Or your family trying to....sell you off?" Kai wasn't even saying it with concern but a more straight face. If they were, he was only concerned because that gets in the way of things. Conversations were a key, to one blocking their mind from the attention of all else around them... Should a conversation be successful in the first place. One such as theirs had that carrying effect, as the sound of the chiming bell had cut the air of all seriousness away. People entering into the establishment had revealed that clear reminder, that speaking about such an outrageous mission involving military could be dangerous to continue speaking on. Their arrivals had only raised the bar of caution on her end, though her red eyes had never turned away from the green hues of Kai, who seemed to be unbothered by more crowding. Had her own self been in midst of the conversation earlier, she would have silenced midway,.to the point Kai would have been left in the dark. Sasselia had taken good graces on him keeping his silence, sighing in relief. "Th-thank you, I appreciate it. The most one can certainly do in m station... Is just t-take temperance and wait... In hopes the s-scale of danger remains on it's cooling levels. There really is no other option, and, w-waiting as you say... Is really all I can do, and certainly hope that was the last of it. S-something tells me I should most likely be alright however."

Finishing her tea, Sasselia had set the empty cup down with a click of porcelain touching porcelain, having set her pinky under the cup. Such timing to boot, as the beautiful waitress had returned with their order. Based on the comment made, Sasselia wasn't surprised she had heard it all. It was to be expected, but the fact she hadn't been so loud to speak to begin with would show just how fantastic a faunus could hear all together. Only just hearing the small statement from Yukiko, smiling nervously up to her. "I-indeed! I hope it will benefit much smoother onward of my training~." With a gulp, Sasselia had to focus herself to the food that had been brought over, allowing herself to inhale the fragrances of the food itself, in order to focus her mind onto a calmer scale. Her own eye couldn't avoid staring at the platter of food her companion her for himself for that matter, wondering if the young man was going to be able to eat all of that by himself. Cake, AND cookies? The cake looked rather decadent, despite being buried under the layer of whipped cream and strawberries. Her own order of dango and mochi looked just as appetizing, leaving her to partially drool at the corner of her mouth. "Th-this is perfect miss~... M-may I actually order two more dangos? I-I may end up devouring all of this heh~!"

Forgetting herself, Sasselia only had remembered moments later, gasping in embarrassment with a quick wipe to her lips. "I-I mean... I would love two more... P-please..." Smiling bashfully, she had indulged with a bite upon the mochi, in order to hide the redness of her complexion growing, instead making a satisfied noise from the green tea flavor hitting her taste buds. "S-so diviiine...."
Enjoying the mochi, the young woman had awaited until Yukiko had everything all set, before turning her attention back to Kai. As he explained onward about the military, telling her to hang onto that uneasiness. Strange, considering he had advised she stood up taller. A contradiction, though Sasselia was able to at least understand the differences between both conceptions of advise. Stand taller and brave, but be cautious of higher powered enemies like the military. Such a thing made sense. Sasselia could follow with that advice on her own, that much was for sure. Withholding her own commentary on that matter, there was that chance for some peaceful silence, granting both parties the chance to enjoy their treats for the time being. That wasn't until Kai had brought up her other situation. The family situation was a salty wound that dug deep in the heart, but his words spoken had brought some encouragement. A but wrong on his observation, that was to be expected. Keeping such an embarrassingly awkward secret was crucial. Not only was it for her health, but it was for keeping the sanity under wraps. However, the young man was a lot more sharp than she had already picked him up to be. Just to hear the word "toy," her her shutting in a bit to herself. "It's... There is more t-to it than that... It's n-nothing to do with my virtue.... it's... more than it looks... " Saying nothing at first, her face had lowered to her food, almost getting lost in her small heart of misery that was haunting her. That was... Until Kai had offered to offer his services. "A fighting tutor?" Such a thing was what had went through her mind, giving his words a chance to sink in. He was truly offering to help her improve herself? After having done so much at a young age with being part of saving her family, he was still wishing to o something else? At first, the young woman was unsure what to say to this. He has done enough in her life a hundred times over, being the reason she was sitting at the table talking with him. Surely it wasn't too much to be asking to help her any more? Such a notion brought warmth to hit her in the face, unsure why such an offer was filling her with hope. "Ahm... A-are you sure you would wish to indulge with such an important offer? Y-you have done so much as is... I don't f-feel I deserve to be taking your time once more in this matter... I-I mean..." gulping, Sasselia tugged at a small chunk of her hair gentle, biting her bottom lip. "I... I hope I am not i-imposing in the slightest... Or am b-being too selfish as to accept your offer on this matter. P-please take good care of me and my training! Ill work very hard. I-I should ask though... H-how much for your services?" Tilting her head to the side, Sasselia awaited the answer, before bowing slightly to him in thanks.

Yuki stayed long enough to make sure all was indeed to their satisfaction. Skillfully tuning out conversation, other than her small comment. Her attentions turned to the blue-haired child. "She's so cute, she reminds me of Haruko," Yukiko thought absently as she ordered two more dango. "Of course, darlin' I'll be right back," The tigress responded and would leave after there was no more to be said. A few minutes later, she would return with the gentlewoman's order and set it before Sass gently. "There you go, please enjoy," She said with a warm smile and a wink before going back to the rest of her customers inside the pleasant establishment.

❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞

                                                              It would be wise to say Kai did not care about the crowding of the tea shop. While it was a serious conversation, if someone overheard would they truly believe them? Their words versus the propaganda that is used for Vale? Obviously they would be the ones to be distrusted by most. The music was a factor no one expected. It kept things rather calm and chill. The excitement of where the conversation could of gone seem to have died down. No more crying at this time. He hoped for no more of it in the future as well. She seemed highly relieved by his oath to secrecy. Kai had no reason to give this information out to anyone. Maybe to smite Autrox but the involvement of a certain girl made things difficult. Assets need to be in one piece. If she could truly be an asset for him later, than she need not be in much trouble. But Kai knew the game they were in. Trouble finds you no matter what. I don't think you have anything to worry about. I do however believe something major is boiling over. It not going to affect you but all of us in a way. Maybe I over thinking this. But, I think the danger is only just going to continue to rise!

                                                              Before he could think further, the waitress would return back into the scene checking up on them. She did not seem to give Kai the stank eye this time. Conversation would stop while the sound of music, chattering, and Sass's drinking of her tea would dominate Kai's ears. Afterwards, he would begin with the military and onto her situation. He hoped to help. When he made his analysis, it would appear he was missing some kind of mark. Curiosity was all over Kai's face. His eyes practically begging to no more. But was it for her sake? Or the fact he needed explanation why he was wrong in a sense. Taking note of the shuttering from the word toy he pronounced, he had to be in the correct ball park at least. She did give another hint. It had nothing to o with her virtue. It was something more than that. "So you not one of those thots. That's a great thing! Not like I pegged you to be one in the first place" informed not truly thinking of the consequences of his words there.

                                                              Being more than it looked, she did not say more. She just looked down at her tea. Something seemed amiss but Kai could not put his finger on it. He would decide to let it be though and go about an idea he was thinking. He already had one brat to train. Why not train someone with actual skill. Giving her the offer, she seemed hesitant. Shy and reclusive to his offer. Unfortunately, Kai was not going to take no for an answer. He did not have to either. Should work her way through a response, the denouncing changing to an acceptance but with compensation. She wanted to pay for his services? No. She seems....kinda... He did not finish that thought though. The focus shifting completely to his offer overtook any type of silly personal thoughts about the woman. "Compensation is not needed. Going to make you into a better huntsmen. You already one now. Just need improvements. " He complimented. With her bow, he poked her forehead to push her head back up. His way of saying the bowing was not necessary.

                                                              His mind did not forget though. He was still focused in on wanting all the details. "So, its more than what it looks like and seems. Yet you a huntsmen at beacon? Been on missions and not dead already. What exactly am I missing here dear?"

Intrusiveness was essential for one it would seem. Despite the conditions of the people, the wonderfully calm music, and the delicious food, some things couldn't cease some frustrations. No longer disturbed by the aspects of keeping a secret or not, Sasselia had made sure to avoid any unnecessary amounts of information in the end, savouring the taste of her meal with the full wishes of enjoying it all together. That was the most she could ask for, given she potentially could have been unable to eat on this very day. This was more of a meal of relief, more than anything else. Talking with the man who had saved her life so long ago was lady fate drawing their cards, and practically tossing those cards in their faces. Sasselia had no mind of it, however. Kai was of course, rather persistent on knowing the bigger details of her life. Her own fault, for blurting it out to begin with. Only now had it escaped her lips.. She should have expected that. At least when the topic had been changed, it had seemed as if it was put out of mind. That was until he had made such a vulgar comment about her virtues, sucking in a breath. "Th-thot!? You claim not to have pegged me as one, but still word it aloud as such..." Looking left and right around her, the poor girl had been turned paranoid."S-surely I do not look as such, or have acted as such!?" Biting the inside of her cheek, she set the remaining part of her mochi down, clearly offended by the comment the more she thought through it. "My Chasity is safe and a-accounted for, I can assure you of such information. I shall also leave it as such... A-as this is an embarrassing topic to be commenting on my ch-Chasity in a public place in the first place..."
Thank goodness for the interruption by the waitress!!!!! Her lovely existence had come to par towards them, bringing the other half of the meal she had requested earlier on. All things considered, Yukiko had more timing skills than a flower took to fully bloom in the midst of night! "Th-thank you miss!" Her voice had quaked with embarrassment, keeping a smile plastered on her face to cover up her embarrassment as best she was able. Only had Yukiko left, had Sasselia went silent, before contemplating to herself. "S-such a rude remark to a l-lady...."

Sighing softly by this point, Sasselia could only hope to leaves topics astray. Speaking on terms of training her had been what had brightened her mood up a little once more, though such news received her way had her distracted. "nghwah!" All politeness in the world to his gracious offer, and the contact to her forehead had frazzled her. The poke itself caused her to squeak, and make an odd sound of surprise, herself sitting up straight rather quick, to the motion of her hands covering over her forehead. "If... If you insist sir but I.... Can only hope to exceed the expectations bestowed upon me in the first place." Improvements weren't the half of it in her mindset. If only she could have kept herself up to par on the occasion itself, though the simple poke had left a small warm spot upon her forehead.. One that had her almost faint right there in the chair. Had he not been asking her for more details after all on her earlier commentary, she would have been unable to answer to the fullest.
Such a pushover Kai was acting. Sass herself had only wished he would drop it. Unfortunately, from what she gathered so far, such a thing was impossible to ask by that point. "You... You are missing the crazy ideals of a father, wishing to rid the dreams of a young woman.. By giving her to someone else to become just a simple wife to...." Aloud, it sounded pathetic. So pathetic, she was trying not to cry about it. "I-is that what you wanted to know? J-just how miserable a girl is to prove she can fight, all because a benefactor in her life wishes to rid her freedom of following in her mothers footsteps... F-for the life of a simple wife to a stranger!?" The more she had said it, the more close to tears had been drawing. It was not because of the fact she was saying it aloud... It was the fact there was the pressure to give details she had no wishes of sharing. Humiliating is what it was. With a sniffle, she could only wipe her eyes by that point, staring down at her delicious smelling food. "A...Are you so happy to know now? T-to intrude in foot steps I myself am forced to carry along?" Looking at him once more, she simply lifted a piece of her cake to her mouth, forcing deep breaths at that point. "Th-that is what is missing... The truth of a secret I wish no one could know in the first place. "

Ms. Tora had allowed them some time to enjoy for quite a while. Tending to the rest of her customers that had come in. It was always so busy during the mid-morning/lunch hour. There was no further commotion that the tigress heard anyways from the previous table she served. "Well, that's a relief," Yukiko thought before making her way over to check on the couple. They seemed to be doing warmly now and that made her smile kindly to each of them. The tigress decided not to comment on the stuffy topic of questioning one's chastity...for now. Instead she smiled kindly, her tail swaying lightly. "Shall I get you anything else? I hope everything is to your liking," She would inquire politely as she would await their responses...

❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞

                                                              Determination. That's the only proven method to achieving your goals. People with talent fail. People who train fail. People who have it easy still fail. Only with determination can all obstacles be overcome. Even in the event of a misfortune, determination can get you through it. Why was Kai curious? Because he wanted no distractions. Some are natural that you can't help. He can't help how her personality was. He would have to deal, but if something regarding family was going to get in the way of her reaching her full potential (and considering she was looking like a possible tool for his use) then so be it he was going to do what he can to get it out the way. His eyes would look at her blankly as she seemed offended. Almost horrified at the Thot comment. He would truly look puzzled. He said she was not one though. Was it that big of a deal that he still said the word out loud? This was not a zone he was good at. Especially with women.... He may need a little help there. His emerald eyes would just scan her trying to find an answer to put this situation back on its railing. However, it was going fully off the tracks. "No one was trying to say you unpure. You definitely do not look like the promiscuous type at all either. Not like it would matter I sure your charm would brighten any mans day?" He would comment, the end part more of a question than a statement. He needed help but luckily the waitress came back to check on them so it was going swell! Never thought I be happy to have more company he thought to himself as he let out a huge sigh. "I need Something diabetic-ally sweet that can take my breath away. Your pick. Can be anything off the menu long as it fits the description" Kai commented. It was true. He needed a sweet treat to forget that awkward wading that just occurred. Arguing with women and being an a*****e was easy. He did that with Jackie all day long Talking to a woman with just a neutral vibe and not trying to be so...crass was something entirely different. Maybe that why he was single?

                                                              After the waitress left, it was awkwardly silent. Silence that Kai had filled with expansion of the training and a poke to the head. Why did he poke her? It was easier than words and he felt it went through well. An unlikely alliance or maybe friendship without having to go into details or ask about it. Maybe that was looking too deep into it and Kai just wanted to poke her forehead to ease the tension. Who knows? Possibly unknown endearment. When he pushed on, he was able to crack her. She sung. She informed him of the main issue and that honestly left Kai in quite a predicament. This....was not answer he suspected. Was she going to cry again? Damn it woman do not cry again.... So not how I expected my day to go....why can I not meet anyone normal?...still this is an issue he thought to himself as she sniffled. Watching her force cake down her throat, he needed more sensitivity training. "If we just get you married to a huntsmen that does not care or value your training then that's a secret work around! Marry you to a huntsman" he came up with simply before realizing what he said and the main issue of it all. "Oh wait, you want to actually be with someone you adore not a stranger...forgot that how romance works..... at least that how it worked in "A Hunger Like No Other". Actually, thinking back to the book, he kind of forced the woman to be his... Would I want to choose al over or would I truly care? I don't think... I would care....unless they are just annoying and unuseful... Okay I get the point. Maybe it could work out though. "Half Way to the Grave" was good book

                                                              Shaking his own thoughts, he would finally address the situation. "You not forced to do anything. You are his daughter but you are not his property. Plus, I think hanging with me will grow a deep rebellion within you. He may not like it.....but I think your mother would appreciate the path you taking of a huntsmen. You are suppose to obey your parents, but sometimes....there are exceptions that need to be have. Besides, I cannot intervene in situations I am not a part of... however long as I am training you then there will be no outside interruptions of such stupidity. You may fear your father, but I unfortunately fear no man. I suggest if you have to partake in his silly games, try make yourself unsaleable. Might be impossible do in look department but I do know most guys hate a woman that is stronger than him, dangerous, head strong, and independent. If guy feels unneeded or inferior he will run. Then you got your training, less issues with your father, and the men he tries pair you with run away. "It was an option but he was not honestly sure how good of a plan it was. It was just something to have as a game plan. Looking a round, this was not his zone of conversation. Tiger Lady I need you ¨Though, if one of them pulls ¨A hunger like no other¨ in which the man in the book was persistent and straight kidnapped the woman. Then we break his legs to keep that from happening¨

Such a remark, turned into a question of sorts, had left an bewildered mind of Sasselia to process. She wouldn't even know about that at all, as she wasn't someone to necessarily pay attention to those kind of details about someone. She was a bright woman intellectually, but socially there were plenty of trademarks that only could fly over ones head. Did she truly know about this charm he was questioning? Positively not. There weren't too many she could truly settle around, and with the heavy baggage carrying away in her shadow, there were times on whether it was safe to do so or not. "I... Am not so sure." A little more silent than she had meant to be, her voice had barely escaped herself to him, more entranced with her thumb swiping across the top of her cup. Unsure when she began grasping it in the first place, she had unintentionally bought it closer to her person, as if contemplating. "Words carry a lot of meaning behind the scenes. They are merely the forefront with conception behind the script. I simply d-do not reach myself onward on being anything else than myself... A-although... It is a strange perspective you have placed on me. I am unsure... What I could.. Say to such words... don't feel as if I have too much charm. Maybe.. Some wittiness and clever remarks from time to time.. Charm is.. Something I do not know of."
She tried. She certainly had attempted herself to form an answer. Nothing Try as she might, she couldn't have the audacity to claim whether his words were correct or not. Either choice could lead to either more questioning, or more... Remarks about her virtues. She did have a wonderment if she could make someone's day. Such an imagery had a hard tension to think of, but deep down, she had no mind if she ever could. It would be a reason to try opening up. Humans were full of unrealistic ideals for someone to be though. To see a smile from someone who could actually see this... "Charm,"... That would be an interesting interaction.

If only her speaking could work as fast as her mind ran. Not having any idea how silent she had went, the arrival of the waitress had made her jump a little in her chair. When she looked across at Kai, the look on his face had said it all when ordering his cake. "A..Another tea please of the same fragrance and remedy." The tea helped the first time, and hopefully a second would help for sure. The cup she held had nothing in it, and it must have happened between thoughts. That had to be it.
"I really shouldn't drag on the silence like this.." Finally breaking the silence with troubles she had hoped to avoid, the endearing poke had its perk of calming her enough for the story. The more it was brought up, the more she wanted to stuff it back down into nothing. Eating her slices of cake had only the sugary sweetness sticking to her throat in a disdained matter, but cake could only take her issues away for a second only. Time would have been more appreciated.

That was the case for sure, as his remark on marrying a complete stranger who could be a huntsman, in order to be a huntsman still, had been set out in the open. the surprise of it had her almost spitting her food out, having to bite her bottom lip to avoid doing do. "Wh-why is he trying to sound like my father!?" The audacity of it all had her almost speechless! Had she not of known his intention with the words being based on a lacking of knowledge towards feelings, she would have festered to actually leaving. He had managed to catch himself at least, and the book title he gave out. "Heehee... I d-don't believe the first half of the story was truly meant as adoration, but more of a man thirsting for a woman he found the senses of as of as a mate, wishing to find her. As for the woman, I c-can only imagine what that would have been like, with all half Valkyrie, half vampire antics aside from it all. I don't think I would wish to be with a king of any Lykae!"
Having no sense of him actually thinking about the factors of that story, the young woman was coloured a little impressed. For someone reserved and independent, that sort of book was the last thing she expected him to have known. Sasselia had him more pegged towards the more serious collections related towards war and history. Maybe she should recommend Night Embrace when they weren't being on a serious topic? Talking about books had a nicer ring than talking about her dreaded father's ordeals for her life. Anything was technically better as a matter of fact. He of course, showed no restraint on anything by this, still ongoing with another idea. She had to admit, when his mind was on something, he sure stuck to it. Was he certain he wished for her to hang around him more? She had pegged herself as a bit of an awkward bore. Any other time aside from training would surely have him much more bored no? She was sure about one thing from it having been said. He certainly carried his own set of rules. She found it rather endearing. He may come off cross to a fault a few times, and openly honest, but...Whether he knew or not, or cared.. He had a sense of sincerity. Sasselia had no notions of telling him that though, choosing to instead hear him speak.
Once he was done speaking, she had taken her turn in, rather more idealistic. Ill be aware to keep this all in mind for when we begin. I-I do not wish to allow other life problems to interfere with honing my skills. The.. The way you worded on time t-together.. heheh... It reminds me of a new chapter of a story. It is..Rather intriguing I must say. As for.. Other things... It doesn't take much for one to turn from someone such as I. I do not share too many common interests...W-with those who normally seek. I do not mind attempting such a feat. It... Would be quite odd, to try and overpower someone in a grimm fighting match up of sorts... If that doesn't work.. I know I can think of something." With a more optimistic smile, she gushed a bit in shyness, choocing more so to aim her mind towards the training, and taking his words to heart. "I am not one for truly breaking rules... I more so find the loophole circulating within the contents of words. I hope no one truly tries such a thing. I am not a Valkyrie. I do not see why someone would. however.. Your ideas are something to consider and try. I-I shall try my very best.. P-please allow me to be wonderful company through the training."

❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞

                                                              Was Kai saying too much? Was he being too much of a confidence boost. He wasn't lying. He would of known if he was lying. In fact, h would not have lied. He was mainly blunt. So, did he find her charming. Was that why he said what he said or was he just caught up in the situation? He...he didn't know. When the hell did the switch happen and why? Wouldn't he say something like why does it matter? He need food. FOOD FAST!! Or maybe shut off his mouth. He needed to play this correctly. “True. I would not consider it weird. Think of it just a measurement of character. Everyone can be seen as charming. It just depends upon the person. Like.. I would not think I came off as charming earlier considering I made you cry...Hopefully that makes sense. I feel I may be applying the incorrect meaning and replacing it with my own.” he confessed before holding his chin as if in some type of thought. “Charm...charm... I guess could be applies to inanimate objects too.... Maybe better statement is that you could make someone happy. So your charm could make any man happy? Smile? It seems they don't fit quite as well even though they mean similar things” he informed before trying to get out of this jam. HELP. MORE HELP.

                                                              He was not the only one that needed some help in this situation. She was calling for backup as well. It was necessary. Why was he concerned about her issue. Couldn't he not be concerned and still get training done. If he could stuff his mouth and just wade through the rest of this. He could of gotten out of the seat and just leave but what was compelling him to stay? The silence was strong. It was engulfing the mood breaking forth the true awkwardness of the situation. No matter how nosy he was, he knows too much already just from a first meeting. Second if the rescue was counted. What drove him to run into her though? And why was she not able to be barked at with no remorse like he could do to others? His thoughts would be shared. Possible solutions.

                                                              His solution was improbable. He was curious about her answer though. Maybe it help him learn more about women. “Hmmm. So it doesn't thrill you the thought process being wanted by 2 different suitors? Or maybe it just how the book presents it? It seemed more like hunter and prey in the beginning. I can see how just falling into that situation would put one on edge rather than...be swooned?” He honestly didn't think about that factor. Aside from the two sides, he thought the very basis of being wanted would be considered a good thing. So was there more than just being wanted when come to romance? Is this how rejection comes ? Turning away the wanting advances of another? It was Kai's fatal flaw which he carried on and off the battlefield. His hyper focus making him more and more stuck into the situation. That's why he went on and on and on. Though, she did not stop him so was she still listening or was she curious about where this all came from? It seems she did stay tuned!

                                                              “Hmmm. A new chapter? Your story has only begun and the tale of the Blue haired Maiden shouldn't end with some...silly marriage like a fairy tale. “ He started as a legit smile was on his face. Proudness? Or happiness she wasn't fighting and causing an annoyance. She was willing to learn which was the first step of many. She said she didn't share many things in common with seekers. “I mean.... I can't confirm or deny.... I don't know what a person usually seeks in a significant other..... That's not my strongest field. I will say cooking is a plus along with strong confidence. Beyond that.. I don't know.” wait. Why was he admitting this. Why would she even care to know this. Where did that slip come from! “Your company will be lovely. I sure with my tips it shall buy you enough time.. Far as why anyone would try it... Again I not good on the relationships part of it. I just know in history people go after beauty. Since you are far from Ugly and more on the other side of the spectrum that makes you a high target” Kai just needed to shut up now. What kind of back handed compliment was that? Was Kai feeling okay? Why not just say beautiful? Turning away, he would grow quiet. CAKE?! WHERE ARE YOU!!!

~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~
Words had a funny, but lyrical way of coming out. They were also fickle. They could even be formed to unspeakable matters, depending on the context, or the emotion. Even the choice of words one wished to use carried a fate one could have no control of. To turn a phrase, or that was how Sasselia partially had believed the statement to go. For this particular context, she was a bit on the speechless side. Her modesty was a habit that one could not fully control. She herself had the lack of control, despite being one to think before acting in situations. Emotions and adjectives to describe herself had that essence of acting first with impulse the odd times. For this particular moment, her mind had picked itself up first, and she remained more attentive to his... Flustered? Explanation. Kai was quite clear, but she had to secretly wonder... Did something through this light a fire under him? She could have been just misunderstanding in some way as he had spoken through. Hearing his confession on making her cry mixing through this explanation, gone into .. Another confession? ... Had Sasselia somewhat keeping up with it. She had been about to speak up, but as he had lingered on towards a more quizzical approach on how to word it all, she had to take extra time to process what he was trying to get at through this. Such a thing was futile, when she was also in a self imploding panic, acting out by speaking up for another drink. "My lord Miss, just get yourself up, and go, before you make this any more awkward for the man! A drink is not going to save me out of this! H-he may leave if I do such a thing, or continue this towards another awkward burst!!" He was here for a drink, just as she was! What was it that either of them were doing to cause this situation to become so.. Warped out of proportion?
Whatever it could be, the silence was enough for her to take in some things. He may not have have found himself charming, but the context behind making her cry... Wasn't exactly with him as the ball point centre of the blame at all. He may have added some earlier worries to arise a little, but given he was at least able to still bring even a slight smile to her face here and there, he wasn't as uncharming as he claimed himself to be. He had a sharp tongue, that much Sasselia could believe, but there was an intellectual side he had hiding within the depths of the blunt honesty. It was merely showing as awkwardly as her own intellect had a struggle of showing. Sasselia wasn't the type to stick to the flaws one carried, since she had her own amount. That was a sure thing. He said in his example she could make a man happy, but here she was at the moment, making a man across from her, go through the same awkward interjections. What complex choice of words. They were both examples of humans being truly maniacally on different ends of the emotional spectrum. The young woman of blue could admit to herself on finding him truly interesting. Handsomeness aside, her red hues did take note towards his own amount of fluster. She found it... Rather refreshing. Blunt honesty aside, the fluster and unknown reasons for them.. Were rather endearing. If only both had read a much better book to add into this conversation, as the one brought into light... Could certainly leave a lack of understanding towards the situation. Talking about a book at all brought some life to her again. "Most certainly not! Th-the thought of two different suitors.. H-honestly sounds rather unorthodox. I-I say this because in one way or another, given the depending scenario... O-one, or all, ends up hurt in some way. All women of c-course are different. Y-you may have the ones who would eat up such a scenario, and either m-milk up what they can till both suitors are... E-either worn out mentally, ,or potentially left with nothing on their back... While the woman has no respect towards the retrospect of how either end up on the tail end of the spectrum for trying to win her heart...." Pausing with contemplation, she had no wishes on leaving him with the idea that majority do this.
"A... Aside from those... There are women who are over passionate to a point they do not realize when someone is hurt in the crossfire. There are those like me on the other hand... Who wish to avoid being apart of a situation. N-nothing comes good out of someone being hurt at the end of a situation... But I may be st-steering away from the actual book itself... I would believe the hunter and prey concept had turned itself for the better as the plot itself had progressed. I... If anything, the Throne of Glass series contains a more character developing progress to a two suitor concept... A-as well as a more... Swooning instalment to a complete pl-plot twist at the end of the third book!" Losing track of the concepts between a novel, and reality, when it all had come back to her, she was unable to help but have a sheepish gasp escape her. "Ah! O-of course!! Y-you meant... You mean that stuff!!! N-not the books! W-well... R-reality wise... Of... Of course I do not think of anything as such. I am still learning myself on... How cordial one must be.. Er... Or how to truly understand."
As it would seem, both of them were unsure how one should truly be able to approach another in terms beyond both of their understanding. "I must say... I d-do find you charming, despite earlier speech on the d-difference. H-having insightful thoughts t-to a situation is a very intellectual trait to possess. I-if what you say is true.. I must ensure to pursue forwards, so I can be able to have a happy ending then." Though it may have been a topic well passed, Sasselia felt she had to finally say something to him. Perhaps it was the smile she had been finally able to see from him, which had made her heart skip a beat to see. "What a gorgeous smile..."
It was true. Genuine. Real. She couldn't stop herself from returning a sweet smile of her own towards him, tucking some of her hair behind an ear. "My.. Story may have just begun... I do plan to make sure there will b-be a lot more chapters to fill that story... Into a full series. If it helps... I-I will say that for someone who doesn't usually know... Y-you are sounding far more knowing than you seem. P-people are far complicated! A-as for cooking and such... A-after all my training, I can easily return th-the favour w-with a h-homemade cake! Baking is a lovely hobby.... Er... It's not cooking, but baking is a wonderful confection of delicious creativity. I will ensure it is one delicious cake! I hope you look forward to it, should it in-interest you." Ensuring the route to training, and making connections was an asset she was simply pleased to know. The young woman could feel gracious as such, rather pleased to know her company would be just fine, coming from a man she could surely tell was one who kept to himself. The observation proved to be true, when he reminded her on his socialism skills, going as far as a comment she had to repeat in her head multiple times to understand. "Since you are far from Ugly and more on the other side of the spectrum that makes you a high target... Just what had he meant by a target??"
"Er... Thank you?" Coming out as a question, the unsettled tension his like a brick, which brought a wave of hesitant choice making on her end of the table. "I... Don't know if I should take being called a target as a good... O-or bad choice. Ahm.... I-I'll just let that one be." Ah... Watching him turn away, she could only wonder what that was about, choosing not to peek into it. Maybe he realized what he said had been... Odd? There was a compliment within the midst of it... Somewhere. She could surely tell he was at least trying. That's what mattered. "D-don't worry. Y-you do not have to turn away. I am not mad."
❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞
                                                              This was definitely an awkward situation and Kai wasn't having any type of lifeline to save him or get him out of it. Maybe he would talk to Jackie about it? Maybe it help him understand? While the logical thought process, Kai was too prideful to do such tings. Instead, he would rather sink with his pride then swim with the assistance of others. How did this situation even occur. How did fate line them up to meet like this? He already was doing things he wouldn't normally do. Why was he taking blame for something just because she was overwhelmed and cried. That wasn't his fault she couldn't handle it. Yet, here he was at least putting out there that it was him as the main cause of the distress. It wasn't looking good at all for the huntsmen. Luckily the talk of books brought things back onto order. Something he could focus on without feeling odd for lack of better word. She rejected the notion of multiple suitors. While unorthodox, she played the card about their feelings getting hurt which does make a good point. If they not knew of each other or more if they did not understand the situation at hand. All could be hurt. Fights could happen. Violence could come out of it. Some women like that drama. Liked being fought over like some prize while being blinded by the effects their actions make. Sass seemed to understand that concept but also left room open since all women are different. This is true...or at least Kai had to confirm that to her that they are. Some women annoyed him. Others don't. Some he tolerated. However, that probably was the shallow thought process to what the blue haired maiden was truly talking about. Or maybe it was.
                                                              She wouldn't leave him with a bad taste in his mouth about women though and more so about books in general even throwing out a suggestion of her own. A series he had heard about but wasn't really too sure he could get into. She made the Throne of Glass series seem like almost a master piece. His lack of relationship experience lead him often enough to wonder just how much development and progress could the 2 suitor concept go. Hell even just a regular 1 suitor concept intrigued him along with the more warped concepts of denying a man of high power. But many people didn't like Pride and Prejudice. The tables would turn when the more distinct meaning of what Kai was after in reality was MORE wanting to know of her own experience. She was...at a lost. Or more, she didn't ever realy think of such a concept. “Learning...We never stop. Maybe one day i will learn what makes it attractive. That attention has to be headache educing.” He commented, more to the aside. It seemed he couldn't get much out of her in that aspect. She probably was just as lost as he was. She would bring up a moment of the past, commenting about his charm. The compliment caught him off guard. A bright flush would overtake his cheeks in which he couldn't control. Why did it matter what she thinks? Why was he feeling this weird? He couldn't stay like this! Then she would return with a smile of her own causing his cheeks to go darker. His mind went blank. He had to respond! Too bad his response was stupid.
                                                              He called her a good target. What was that suppose to mean? What was any of it suppose to mean? Couldn't he had said something more...sweet. His turn away was him giving up. “Sorry.. I thought sounded better in my head..I should of just said you were beautiful” He replied. The words, as soon as it left his mouth more embarrassment came. NOPE. NOT HAPPENING. HE WAS NOT STAYING. Getting up, he would quickly take out Lien that was more than enough for the two with a nice tip to boot. Money he collected from his time with Garret. After putting it on the table, he would make himself scarce. “Uhhh....well. Look at time.. I am late....uh..contact soon for training. LATER!” He would hurry out the tea shop and hop onto his bike. A sigh of relief coming over him before he revved it and drove off. What the hell was all of that?!?!
