"Oh Nuriko, I'm Chiriko..." he covered up his symbol with one hand, then shook her hand with the other. "Mine's a pain, I can't cover it up, accept with a scarf. But, it makes me look gay." He laughed. "It's really nice to meet you."

Lian smiled.
"I never thought I'd meet another Seishi before I met the Miko," she admitted. "But still, it's good to see someone who's like me." She laughed at his comment about the scarf. "I'm sure you'll manage. Have you ever thought of growing your hair?"

He looked up at his spikey hair. "Yeah, but... come on, my hair look really cool like this!" He grinned, and his mark started to fade. "I guess I'll just have to live with the fact that Suzaku loved me enough to kiss my neck." He laughed, holding his stomach. "Oh I crack myself up! Anyway, have you heard anything about the Miko? I have this strange feeling she's here..." He looked around, "And a strange feeling that I want to go to the mountains. I know, I'm strange." He sang the last bit, his voice was almost unnaturally beautiful.

Lian laughed, a light sound like chimes.
"True, you do look interesting like that," she remarked. "As for Suzaku loving the Seishi, your comment would go very wrong for me. My symbol is on the skin over my sternum," she indicated the center of her chest. "I haven't heard anything of the Miko, but if you think she's here, I don't think I'll doubt you for now. You've already sensed me, so I think your hypothesis may be right." She looked thoughtful for a moment. "So, do you want to go to the mountain, or stay here and search? You'll have to wait for me though; I have an appointement with a patient."

"How would Suzaku kissing you there be a bad thing?" He gave a jovial laugh, "He's a god after all, I bet he's good looking in his human form!" He laughed again. "I'll wait for you Nuriko! You can visit your patient, then we can go investigate!" He smiled a handsome, infectious smile.

"Sure! I'm happy that at least one of the warriors is a woman. Too many guys together can be crazy! And what luck that you're even cute!" He followed her, "Lets go and see this patient of your's!"

After a bit of confusion, they managed to find the house. She knocked on the door, and a young man answered. She bowed.
"I'm sorry, the traffic kept me," she apologized.
"Oh, you must be the doctor Xiao-Lian," the man brightened. He paused when he saw Chiriko. "Oh, who is he?"
"He's a friend of mine," Lian said quickly. "He's travelling with me. I hope he isn't too much of a trouble."
"No, no. Come in, please. My mother is over here."
They followed him in. An elderly woman, propped up on her bed, was her patient. The wizened lady looked up at her approach.
"Ahhh . . ." she whispered, her voice like rustling leaves. "You must be the Xiao-Lian."
"Yes, Mistress Kwon," Lian replied, her voice gentle. "Tell me, what seems to be the problem?"
"I have a bit of a cough," the old woman explained. "I've had it for some time now, but it's beginning to make me lose my appetite."
"Hmm . . ." Lian thought for a bit, then nodded. "Alright."
Opening her bag, she rummaged through it, and brought out several packs.
"Each bag contains enough ingredients for one day," she told the young man. "Brew this in the bag with water for an hour, and divide the tea into three portions. Have your mother drink one cup after every meal."
The boy nodded.
"If you don't mind . . . could you leave the room for a few moments? I want to check something," she added. "Chiriko, you can stay, if you like."
Again, the boy nodded and left. Lian went over to the old woman and put a hand over her brow.
"Mistress Kwon, I would ask that you remain calm, and tell no one of what you are about to witness," she said quietly.
A soft red glow appeared around her hand, and washed over the old woman's astonished features. After a moment, it faded, and Mistress Kwon sat there, awestruck.
"A . . . a Suzaku chosen . . ." she whispered. "Please, Suzaku's chosen . . . save our empire . . ."
Lian nodded.
"Of course," she said. "That is my sole purpose."

She bid the boy farewell and turned to Chiriko.
"Well, now that that's done. Where would you like to go, the mountains, or here?" she said with a smile.

The handsome young man was quite impressed. "What an amazing power! But I feel as though I'm cheating you. I'll show you mine since you showed me yours!" He said with a playful sigh. The symbol on his neck started to glow and he put his hand up. Around his hand, what looked like black clouds started to appear, then the small "storm" left his hand and drifted over them. Small droplets of water began to fall, probably the first "rain" this town had seen in memory. Then he put his hand up and the water droplets started to collect in his hands. Once it was full, the clouds disappeared and he held cool, clear water. He drank some of it and offered some to her. "Here before it all leaks out. I can create liquid water. Rain clouds really, but if I do something too big, it drains all my energy away."

Her eyes brightened at the sight of fresh water. She hadn't seen any before, being born into a land in drought. Cupping her hands, she let him pour the water into them, and drank it.
"That's incredible!" she exclaimed. "I can use mine as many times as I want. But if I do too many healings in too short a time period, or if the wound I'm healing is really big, I get lightheaded. There was one time I fainted," she added, a little embarrassed. "My power feeds off my energy too." Resettling her medicine bag on her shoulder, she asked, "Now, where to? The mountain or staying in the city is fine with me."

((Oh man, sorry, I was writing something similar for another rp and got confused.))
"Mountains I think," he closed his eyes and pointed in the direction he thought would yield the most results. He had everything he owned on his back, but he wasn't sure about Nuriko. "Do you need to get anything ready? We might need to get supplies, but water's no problem!" He gave her a thumbs up and laughed. "Maybe we can grab what you need and some food, then head out!"

She laughed with him, but shook her head.
"No, I have enough. The mountains, you say?" she looked thoughtfully in the direction he was pointing in. "That way would lead us to Mount Reikaku." Pausing, she searched for her Seishi-conscious tugging. Yes, it was there, though faint. She nodded. "Yes, now that I think of it, I feel something too." She beamed. "To Reikaku, then!"
((So does that mean we're gonna start posting in Reikaku?))

((Yeah... wow the Miko doesn't have much work to do, does she? I'll post here, then the next post should be over there then))
"Yes! To Mount Reikaku, and we must be careful, there are bandits about up there." He looked around then took something out of his shirt. It was a beautiful red gem, that glowed a bit on it's own. "I always worry about this, it was my mother's and all I have of her. I don't know what is it or where it came from... anyway!" He slipped it off and hid it into his water skin for safe keeping. "If you see someone going for my water, let me know. I made this water, so I can control it. Come on!" He started down the street, singing a merry tune, all vistage of his seriousness gone. "Off to Mount Reikaku!"
