The Assassin
▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄

Ghost watched as someone came into the bar, keeping his expression neutral and almost care-free as he did. Even if he was studying the person to see if they would be threat or not. The person had a grey hood on that made it hard to see his features; at least until he turned to face Ghost. He would see a medical mask covering up the lower half of his face, not much information to be gleaned there, but he would note he had hazel eyes. The man would take his own route, but would eventually end up standing before the reclining Ghost. The most gave him was a friendly smile, showing he was unbothered by the person being there. Mostly cause he was curious why he would be sought out in the bar since no one else was there. Ghost kept his guard up, despite his relaxed demeanor, though he felt the man before would not be threat for now at least. As he sat he pulled off his hood, revealing dull platinum blond hair as he then rested his arms on the table. 'I do not recall anyone with those features, but he seems familiar.' Ghost silently thought to himself. He would hold the persons look, before he would pull down his medical mask to reveal a smile...and that his fingernails were colored black with purple Vs on them. 'I wonder what that could mean.' Ghost absently thought to himself.

As he spoke, his identity would be revealed...with the brief flash of aura also helping. 'Akuryo.' Ghost thought to himself, almost surprised to see the man in disguise in this town. He hadn't truly thought it his style, but it seems he had some ability for it. Ghost would merely nod in response to his first question about wanting to see him, and as to his casual joke Ghost would only smile. "Of course, it was some fun to do. We really must have another one at some point, hopefully with our friend as well." He would say, having fun with going along with alluding to what they actually did last. As he rested his head on the table, and pulled his mask up, he mentioned it took very long to get his message. Ghost merely smiled beneath his semi-transparent veil. "By design. We had to wait long enough to meet again to avoid suspicion. Can't have them finding all of us after all the work we did." He would say, tone casual despite the seriousness of being caught. He was fairly confident the were in the clear now; especially with Akuryo's new disguise.

It'd be around this time that someone else showed up; but this time, not from the front door. Ghost would raise an eyebrow in surprise as he saw a figure emerge from the back office door. 'When did he get there?' Ghost wondered to himself, having not seen the man enter and been sure no one else was there besides the bar keep. The man wore a white suit, had short black hair that was slicked back and hand aged grey to it. He also has a face mask that covered the lower half of his face; from nose to chin, and ear to ear. The mask was a mix of orange and black, even having teeth designed on it. It was a look that commanded respect; a mix of formality and and intimidation, though Ghost just kept a look of interest to him. One where he was studying the man to see what he planned, and was ready to react accordingly. He would see the bartender give him a look, to which the mysterious figure raised his hand in a dismissing motion. Ghost noticed him return the look, but not the red light, before bar tender seemed to stiffen in fear and prepare a drink. 'Whoever this is, he seems well known and feared.' Ghost thought to himself, primarily because the man was making a drink by the returned look alone. At the same time, the mysterious figure would set down a tray with two wave-designed teacups that seemed to be filled with something, but Ghost was unsure what exactly. The bartender would come back with the drink made, and as he handed it to him Ghost would notice a brief flash before the man jerked his hand away and covered the hand with a napkin, hurrying to the backroom and away. Ghost just barely saw a tinge of red to the napkin before the barkeep was gone. He smiled, approvingly, to the figure for the act; it was a well done display. Something he could admire from another, and only gave him another reason to respect the man for now.

He would comment on them returning to the beach, and as he spoke the voice seemed familiar to Ghost. Both in the tones and in the manner that the individual spoke. The voice almost seemed artificial as well in a way. Ghost would eye the individual curiously, trying to place the voice to the person. Now that he was closer, Ghost would also notice a thin line in the mask where the mouth was. 'Perhaps a way to open and eat?' He thought to himself. It would make sense given they were in a place meant to drink...and the man had 3 drinks with him. When the mans iris began cycling, Ghost's smile only grew. 'Zaffre.' He thought to himself silently, growing more at ease now. He had remembered seeing the robots he had sent to help do the exact same thing on the mission. One eye remained amber, and the other now a bright cyan. He gave the faintest sign of a wave, to which Ghost only inclined his head in greeting. He would speak, trusting they've been well and recommending they enjoy the festival, as he mentioned having a hand in it. Ghost had known the man to have many connections and resources, it was why he sought him out, so it surprised him little to hear he had a hand in higher things going on around. And given his ability with machinery, he had a very good way of having an alibi, Ghost imagined. He would then give a drink to akuryo, a bloody mary that lived up to its name, and gave Ghost oolong tea that he claimed to have been a favorite of Aurtrox and from his own personal collection. A clear display of influence and power, especially by the confidence in his voice, but one Ghost could appreciate for now. Ghost would bring the cup closer to him as Zaffre took a seat, blowing softly on the drink before having a little. After he finished his sip, he would set the drink back down and nodded in approval. He would give Ghost the floor, hoping they'd enjoy the drink. Had it not been for their recent mission and shared interest, Ghost may not have accepted the drink. But he could trust they shared similar interests and would not try to betray each other for the time being.

"It is good to see you two, Akuryo and Zaffre, again after so long. I apologize for the delay but after our prior meeting...I felt it best we bury any leads others may have had. The best crime, after all, is the ones left with no trace." He would say in a casual tone, treating this as the standard. He would note Zaffre's eye shift color, but chose to ignore it for the time being. "After all, its not common for people to pull off what we did. That even at the end of our plan, there were still those who thought us on their side. But we can reminisce later on. As you can see, we have the bar mostly to ourselves. I figured a bit of privacy would do, and if anyone became too curious...well, people disappear here all the time." He would speak with a smile and pride in his voice, not in his business like manner he sometimes had. As he paused, he gave a look to Akuryo specifically with a subtle smile; letting him know he would let him have the fun of such a task. "But, to get down to business. I have called us together again for three things; to discuss what exactly it was we acquired, what Zaffre pulled from the computers, and a future job for us to do." He would finish, bringing up his tea for another sip as he looked between his two associates. Setting the drink down again, he would move a hand onto his person and pull out the dust canister he held for himself and set it onto the table. "Before we move onto any future work, lets tie up our past one. Have either of you learned anything about this dust we acquired?" He would ask between the two of them, looking curiously.

'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'

Victor/Akuryo jumped as he looked to see the man walking towards them, a light chuckle escaping his lips as he saw the man known as Zaffre. He wasn't in his Akuryo ware state but he was still housing the psychopathic mindset and thirst for blood. "Indeed it is the point of the festivities." He told him with a light-hearted chuckle as he looked to Ghost as well and pulled his mask back up. "All three amigos together, sounds like we're about to play ball somewhere else now." He teased the spectre with a covered smirk before he looked to the new man beside them. His eyes narrowed into a focus before he noticed the subtle intricacies of his head and the mouth of the mask. "Cool designs Z." Akuryo told him while nodding his head, recognizing the voice after some time along with Ghost. He spent very little time with Zaffre compared to Ghost, but his memory was at least on point in terms of tying facts together to get to the main source of memories, as all assassins needed to know. "I've had some slight time to enjoy them. Got myself a popsicle in the shade, evaded being in the sunlight. It's a killer on my skin since I don't tan." He commented to Zaffre before he was handed the bloody mary, a small nod coming from him as he pulled his mask down to take a sip.

As the spectre finally talked, Akuryo listened intently, his eyes dead to the world as he enjoyed his drink, a light grin on his face when the nod came his way. But the casual voice he had was indeed different than the business he always heard from the ghost. Then there came the point of their little gathering and soon enough they had a list to talk about, causing Akuryo to roll his eyes lightly before he chuckled as he sat down his cup. "I see, thanks for the invite for this discussion then. I've learned very little from it aside from what I gleaned. It's still akin to red dust but other than that I've spent a little more time with this form. I've signed up for the Exhibition to get a little closer to a.... 'friend'." As he spoke the word friend, there was an underline of hissing and excitement in his voice. "S.V. did some research of his own and from he could tell.... it's one hell of a dozy bottle."

XXXThough unseen by Akuryo, Zaffre would give the man an amused smirk. The only indicator of such as a very fine detail of raised cheekbones. It would more so be relayed by his tone. "Thank you, Akuryo. I took a bit of inspiration from a former colleague of mine." All that would follow his amused tone was a pity chuckle at Akuryo's next comment about his own complexion. His attention would then turn to Ghost, who seemed keen on getting the matters of this meeting underway. He couldn't agree more. It began with Ghost explaining his own reasoning for why it took so long to actually reach out to his associates, something that Zaffre truly had paid little mind to. What were three months to a man who no longer suffered to the test of time? Each day blended together seamlessly for him, especially with how busy he managed to keep himself. Between Academy work, research, as well as detailing his own investigation of a few choice names, he barely had time to bat an eye for missing colleagues. He knew that when the time came that he would surely meet them again. Rather than entirely dismissing it as an excuse, though, he instead chose to commend Ghost for his responsibility. After all, not every criminal had been as thoughtful as he. Akuryo, as well, who had gone out of his way to change his entire identity. An action that reminded him much of a former colleague. "What you did was wise, my friend. The military and council were positively fuming after, well... Everything.. In fact, I heard a number of military officials lost their jobs as a result. .. Something about a rogue prototype machine falling into unknown clutches and the extensive negligence of poor reconnaissance." Zaffre's tone, while calm, sounded utterly pleased with his additional comment to their accomplishments. Ghost was right. It wasn't every day that operation went so smoothly on their end, while utterly crippling on the receiving end. Especially with three near-strangers who somehow seamlessly pulled off an operation against near-impossible odds. Once again, Zaffre would nod in agreement with Ghost. "Indeed they do." It was something that not just this bar was known for, but this town seemed infamous for. If someone went missing here, no one would ever bat an eye. After all, it was known that if they did, they would be next.

And so Ghost was quick to get to business. The tasks at hand were simple, but important. Though, there was a particular note that Ghost mentioned that Zaffre wished to inquire on. "It's funny you should mention a future job... With some recent.. Investigating, I may have arranged a small list of jobs as well. But, those are much less important than the present." Truly Zaffre was interesting in what Ghost may have in store for them in the future, though he himself had an assortment of tasks that he wished to employ his associates with. So long as they were accepting. After all, accomplishing these tasks would reap much more than simply a payment of lien. It would strengthen their network, as well as bring Zaffre one step closer to reuniting his former empire. That was unimportant, for now at least. Instead, the porcelain wave cup would clink against the metal of his mask as he took another sip. Shutter hues would focus on Akuryo, blinking through an array of colors as he listened. In terms of knowledge gathered about their reward, or any other ongoing involving the prior mission, he hadn't had much. Instead, he was focused on hiding and repurposing his identity. That was fair, all things considered. Unlike Ghost and himself, he conducted the mission in everyday attire. It wasn't like he could parade in public after just a fiasco, so... Zaffre would let him off easy, knowing that it couldn't have been easy for him. Now, though, he was making plans to be apart of the exhibition. As well as mention of an "S.V." doing a bit of their own research, but left matters hanging in the air. "Is that so? Do tell." He'd inquire briefly, though, he himself had his own findings. A surplus of such, in fact.

"I suppose it's my turn to share." He'd state rather plainly, pulling his attention from Akuryo. Carefully, Zaffre would place his half-full cup on the table. He'd lift a nearby napkin to wipe away droplets that glistened at the mouth of his mask before dropping his hands and reaching towards Ghost's canister. He'd pause, though, and focus his gaze that was now a dull blue on Ghost. "May I?" Sure, while they were criminals, they still had some semblance of manners. Zaffre himself especially, who thought of himself to be quite the gentlemen. With a nod of approval from Ghost, gloved metallic fingers would wrap around the canister before raising it to eye level for all of those at the table. It would glow light blue, especially with handling. "I did uncover some information about our prize from the operation. First and foremost, the color itself doesn't matter. They're all fundamentally the same. Color is a preference, though I do commend Ghost's selection of colors. They were all... Very fitting per character." Zaffre would remark, his tone a clear indicator that he was smiling beneath his mask. He was amused by that development but paid a genuine compliment to Ghost. Each dust canister felt as if it was personalized to those who received it, as if an act of fate. Carefully rotating the canister in his hands, he'd bring their attention towards the code name that the product was labeled as on the canister. IPM.19 -- X43. "The true name of what we acquired is Intravenous Prototype M.19 -- X43; IPM.19 -- X43 for short. These canisters appear to be the byproduct of a nation's attempt to not only advance their technology but advance the capabilities that any sole individual can manage on their own through dust-induced self augmentation of their natural abilities for a brief period of time, rather than utilization of elemental properties. Through extensive refining, a medley of complex and incredibly hazardous chemicals, and an innumerable amount of volunteers, they were able to achieve this." Zaffre would pause very briefly, his shutter-like hues panning back and forth between Ghost and Akuryo to ensure they were following along. It was a lot of seemingly random information at once, phrased with some scientific terms that were rather... Unnecessary. He knew that, of course, and would paraphrase his own briefing. "In short, I have reason to believe that these canisters contain what is essentially a dust-based steroid that, while temporary, can make you drastically stronger in every aspect. Even your semblance." Personally, Zaffre had been quite satisfied with his findings. Even though they currently stood as incomplete, it was still quite a load of information that was unknown to them prior. That, and there was still far more to learn. Though, he felt he did owe them an explanation for how he came to these conclusions."I could explain my process of assessment if you'd like. From varying files, personal research and experimentation, and a happy accident that occurred at a perfect time. But I do still have much to uncover, and we still have much to go over. So I'll leave the subject to you two." He'd put rather plainly, not wanting to snatch the entire spotlight from them. That was a vein of information he too was willing to share, though. But he knew that Ghost had other topics he wanted to cover during their meeting, and Zaffre was uncertain if they wanted a lecture as if they were students at the academy. So, he'd merely wait as he reached forward to place the dust canister down in the center of the table once more.

The Assassin
▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄

Ghost had an amused smile on his lips as he saw Akuryo jump at the mans arrival. It was funny and amusing to see him caught off guard and on edge. To his credit though, he would recover quickly and even chuckle shortly after, agreeing with him on it being the point of festivities. He would even joke about them being three amigos and about to play ball somewhere, which kept the smile to Ghost's lips but nothing more. He would also compliment Zaffre on his mask, as the latter would respond that he had taken inspiration from a colleague. His chuckle...Ghost was not sure why, but the words the man said seemed to hold some kind of allusion as well. One that he could not quite tell but...it seemed less of a compliment to the colleague to mention them and more of...something he couldn't place. But that was something for another time, as they were here for business despite the high spirits. While compliments were not needed, Ghost smiled at least in that his reasoning was agreed with. And especially at the reactions others had according to Zaffre. 'Its not often a job gets so much attention and chaos from all the way up to the council.' He thought to himself silently, feeling a bit of pride at that. Especially that many were fired at Zaffres resources leading to such things. He could hear the tone of the mans voice as well; sounding pleased, which was good. 'I doubt every job shall go like this, but it is good that our first went so well.' He thought to himself. An alliance among their kind was usually one of necessity and survival...but, depending on successes, it could grow into so much more. This was only the beginning; in Ghost's mind and that of his employers. Zaffre mentioning jobs piqued Ghost's interests almost immediately; as, if paying attention, he would see Ghost's eyes widen momentarily and his smile subconsciously grow a bit. 'And so a network forms.' He thought to himself. Things beginning to go exactly as was planned.

At this point, Akuryo would speak again to offer his own insights. Something Ghost hadn't entirely expected but was unopposed to. It seems he had learned little of it, being akin to red dust, but a contact of his named SV said it was a dozy of a bottle. Not surprising given what it had caused in that volcano during their escape. Ghost was also a bit curious on him joining an exhibition match to meet a friend, but did not inquire further on it. What the man did in his own time was his to value. He had lasted this long without being caught, and with this disguise, he seemed to know how to make sure it stayed so. At that point, Zaffre would politely intervene and say it was his time to share. Expression having dropped from casual smile to more neutral, Ghost would listen and look towards him as he spoke. Setting his tea done after using a napkin to wipe his lips, he would reach to Ghost's dust canister before his gaze focused on Ghost and asked if he could. Curious, Ghost would just nod his head to give the man permission. He would get the canister, raise it to eye level, and it would begin to especially glow in a light blue color. He would start off by simply going over the most obvious question; did the colors matter. From his research, it seemed that it did not as they were all the same which was useful to know. Though he commended Ghost for his color choice, earning a small smile. "Thank you, I figured the spoils should reflect the person." He would simply say before falling silent. Zaffre would then begin to rotate the canister to show the numbers and letters that were on it. Part of the initials, IP, stood for intravenous prototype while the rest seemed more like a designation. 'So that is how it is meant to be used.' He thought to himself with the reveal of some of the initials. He would go on to say how this was dust that could augment the user for a period of time; and that there was much resources, both alive and not, to create it. 'I wonder if that was from the computer or an outside source.' Ghost thought to himself silently, looking as if in thought.

He would look to both of them briefly, his shutter-like hues panning between them, before he would simplify his explanation to explain the effect as being akin to a short term steroid that didn't just boost strength but...everything. Even semblance. That was very intriguing knowledge to Ghost. It could prove very useful in the future, though how it affected his semblance he was unsure. And this was limited so he may not be able to test it until it was needed. Thankfully as well, the man would offer to explain how he found it and give a brief summary. It was interesting, and did sound rather extensive. As he finished, he would put the dust canister back down onto the table. "Thank you for the information. While I am intrigued to learn the specifics, we can leave that much for later. Along with what you pulled from the computers. For now though...since it seems we both have jobs in mind it may be best to bring that forward first." Ghost would say rather calmly, with a calm smile to his lips before he would continue. "I shall start first. My current task, which I offer to both of you to join if you desire or help with information wise, is to assassinate a certain family. The Yatomura family. There are a few other jobs unrelated to it that I have as well, but that is the main one." He would finish, giving a particular look to Akuryo because he remembered the man fighting her during their escape. Curious if he had a score to settle. Though his gaze would also pan to Zaffre, curious on his insight and for another reason. "Which if you are interested, I can go into further detail about the job itself. But first, I am curious as to what jobs you may have for us Zaffre. And if you have any as well Akuryo?" Ghost would finish, looking to both of them with a slightly sinister smile. Assassination was his own specialty; a job he very much enjoyed.

'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'

Victor listened as Zaffre explained how he took the inspiration from a former colleague about his new appearance as he chuckled a bit and relaxed himself as he got compliant with the group, especially after Zaffre made his comments about the military and the council and how many lost their jobs as a result, which brought out a rough. "Tch good." He looked away for the moment as he shook his head and listened as Zaffre went on to explain what he knew about the upcoming jobs that he has acquisitioned. 'How kind of to line up plenty of jobs without seeing my favorites.' He thought to himself as he was still in the mindset of Akuryo and with his new allies it was good to do so. After Victor told that S.V. knew the strength of the bottle, Zaffre went off on what he found out about the canisters. 'Color matters little huh? At least I don't have to worry about being set ablaze if I consume the liquid.' He thought as he began to drink his literal bloody mary. He then realized that the man brought his canister with him as he then revealed the intentions of the liquid inside with the name included.

When he revealed the short part of it as Victor grinned at the man as he sat up properly. "A Dust-based steroid that improves the user's abilities? But wouldn't that also mean if we reverse engineer it we could, in theory create our own little group that could in theory rival most military men? Or even better line the pockets of drug lords by making this into an addictive substance considering it's heightening effects?" He asked with a knowing chuckle as it was like this in Mantle for the drug-dependant people. He then turned to look at Ghost aas he spoke about a new task he was on that was related to Yatomura. The term assassinate brought his eyes into a narrow focus as he downed the rest of the mary and set the cup down on a coaster. Slowly, he leaned forward, his eyes on the spectre before he was asked about jobs he had. "Thanks to SV I do know of one job that is being asked of but it's not as important as the Yatomura family. The job in question is more of a demolition and requires us to..... send a message to those of Vale that they are still not safe." Solvit had an ear to the ground and had learned there were some other Vale rebels who did not like how things were going for them and wanted some frustrations released, what better way then to spurn at a major building in town that represented a form of peace.

Fang would start, but suddenly realize he didn't know the way from their current location. He'd smile and scratch the back of his head awkwardly. "Uhh, where are we?" He had gotten turned about last night as he ran from the mercenaries sent to catch him. Nonetheless, they would eventually make it to Phoxuria. Fang thankful for Frea taking the lead. The place had a more gloomy appearance than normal. He wasn't sure why, but make it was Vale cracking down on the black market that ran out of the town harder than usual? He would make his way to the bar, which had far less people than usual. He saw three individuals there, all very ominous looking. He would reach a hand out as if to grab Frea's hand subconsciously, but take it back as soon as he noticed what he was doing.

"Stay close, I don't like the look of these guys." He whispered to her. It was sort of ironic since they were criminals as well, villains didn't necessarily get alone with each other though. That was for sure. Fang's armor was radiant in and of itself, and his entire demeanor was just the icing on the cake. He would make his way to the front, but nobody was there. Fang would wait a long while before the bar tender eventually came. A freshly bandaged thumb. Fang wondered what happened, but didn't care enough to ask. Fang would slip the bar tender a piece of paper with a code on it. "Barnabas-Blue-6." The bar tender would give the man a nod as if this was as common as ordering a beer at his establishment, as it was, and would march into the back of his shop and produce a key made of rusty iron. He wouldn't say a word, but just slipped it to Fang who took it and secured it in his armor where it couldn't be touched without his notice.

Fang turned to Frea with a smile on his face. "Its a map key, once we find the door, we find my friend!" Fang was happy that they were finally inside. They would have to restock at the market as well, but the bar tender came back out and brought two drinks for Fang and Frea. Some sort of beer by the looks of it.

                                                    "On the house!"

Fang would take his drink and gulp it down within two seconds and slam it down with a smile. He hadn't drank a beer in some time. It tasted so good. He'd look to Frea to see if she would drink hers. He wasn't sure he had ever seen her drink beer before.

XXXZaffre would merely smirk from beneath the mask, the synthetic skin on his cheekbones reflecting this. Now 'Victor' was asking the right questions. Slowly nodding at Victor's questions, his shutter like hues shifted from the canister towards Victor. "That, my friend, is the very nature of this research. The formula is there, but the method and exact ingredients are still unknown. My one fear is a key component in the concoction is one that isn't easily accessible, perhaps a foreign chemical mix or a particular device developed for the refinement process. All of which, however, are merely variables to come across in trial and error." Slowly, Zaffre would swirl the cup of liquid with his wrists. Each circle was perfect, almost rhythmic. This occurred through the entirety of his expressed concern, followed by a soft sigh as he shook his head. It wasn't an impossible task, but there were a number of variables that stood in their way. If worst came of it, they still had the three samples that they could use to do something. "Once we do find the recipe for success, we will have to pick a path. Be it personalized production for self-improvement and creating a force to be reckoned with to creating a new drug empire with an addictive miracle drug for the unfortunate souls that need a pick me up. It would even be possible to make the duration of effect less efficient with excessive use, thus furthering the market to maintain the same range of effect. ... And many markets in between, or playing a dangerous game of capitalism and playing each frontier." If there was anyone that knew about the effects of capitalism, owning a vast number of businesses, and substance control, it was this man in bolts. But, following his comment on their future paths, he'd smirk beneath the mask again. With his attention focused on Victor, he'd let out a small chuckle. "Though if you're just in the market for a personal army, I may be able to provide you with other assets for that." But, that was a topic for a later date. ... Or so Zaffre had thought initially.

His attention would shift from Victor back to Ghost once again, who appeared to be at least somewhat curious in where all the information came from, as well as what was in the files on the computer. It was something that Zaffre himself was eager to share with those who were willing to listen, albiet keeping a few particular details to himself. At least, until he himself was able to uncover a bit more about those... A particular mention of a 'her' that wasn't allowed to be tested on, compared to all the rest. "Whenever you wish, Ghost. There is always a time and place for everything. Zaffre would add plainly, letting that be the conclusion of their initial matters as the subject changed to the jobs they had uncovered. ... Though, it began to sound that unlike theirs, the jobs that Zaffre had were actually ones that he had pulled together on his own accord. Even if they were meant to be beneficial for his colleagues, by networking with former colleagues. Ghost himself started off the strongest, catching a quick eye of Zaffre. That was a name he was far too familiar with, being the closest competing corporate superpower to himself. They broke grounds in the dust mining and production industry, the one business that, while he managed to gain some assets, Zaffre could never truly dominate in because of them. Perhaps it was a personal vendetta of a past life he had against them, but the idea of their existence ceasing to be... Well, it tickled his fancy. "You have my attention, Ghost." A statement that was perhaps the most straight forward thing to actually escape his lips in his time with these two. But, while Ghost was eager to enlighten them on the subject, he wanted to know what they had in mind before continuing. Zaffre would wait a moment. Instead of speaking first, he began to noticeably dig into his jacket to locate a small projector device. As he fished it from his hidden chest cavity, he kept his attention on Victor who had another interesting job. Demolition, causing civil unrest in knowing that the city of Vale is not protected. ... Another concept Zaffre could get behind. So... Perhaps his jobs would have some importance, acting as assets to one or more of their tasks.

"Well, if you insist. My line of jobs for you is... A little different. Victor, now knowing your immediate needs, I may have one that you, in particular, may want to invest in." Zaffre stated clearly, pulling out a small projector device from his jacket. Carefully, he'd place it in the center of the table before his own eyes would glow bright blue. "Networking is a particular skill of mine, as you know. Elsewise, I would have never uncovered the two of you... Nor would we have had nearly the amount of support we did during our last job." As if a command, the device would spur with life before displaying a small list of images and names. Potential locations, tasks involved, brief criminal charges. It was almost like looking at a page of mugshots, but if Zaffre chose to, he could bring up a variety of information on a single individual. "In my years, I have met a variety of individuals that I consider to be irreplaceable assets. You two being the most recent. Most of which, unfortunately, I've lost contact with over the years. I'm looking to change that, and create a new network as a whole." In brief flashes of images, the two of them would be exposed to different images and names. Nouara, Almeda, Faye, Rachel, Oni, Black, Prime. Some men, some women, some faunus, some half machine. Each one of unique in appearance and capabilities, all of which Zaffre found to be invaluable assets to his organization. "Each of these names here was a former colleague of mine that, as far as I'm aware, are still among us. Merely waiting to hear their calling once more." Waving his fingers, the list would begin to scroll through a variety of names. There were a few in particular that had additional information and overall seemed more important. One mentioned the name Nouara, whose current whereabouts were unknown. A variety of crimes consisted of illegal trespassing, multiple counts of theft and burglary, multiple accounts of stolen identities. She was a master of disguise and often took root around the darker places of Vale as a 'plastic surgeon' to aid others in their own scandals. Another was Faye Kulia, currently imprisoned in an offsite location of Vale. Arrested for multiple accounts of murder/supposed manslaughter of suspected Tribe Members, but was unable to stop when the law stepped in. As they scrolled, Zaffre stopped on a particular individual. It was a woman with various pattern-like scars burned into the skin of her face. Her name was Almeda Sunbringer, imprisoned in an offsite location of Vale. Maximum Security. Arrested for multiple counts of large scale arson, causing civil unrest, and innumerable accounts of being a prime suspect in missing-persons cases. Declared Clinically insane. "For you in particular, Victor, I believe Almeda will be an incredible asset for SV's job. She has a certain way of causing... Mass havoc and civil unrest, and is certainly the most capable individual I know of single-handed destruction. Unfortunately, both her and Faye have been isolated in one of Vale's offsite high-security facilities. They're dangerous, and Vale knows it. ... That's the very reason why I seek to liberate them." Of the names listed, Almeda may have been the most recognizable name. Especially in the world of chaos and disorder, she was known for mass declarations by setting streets on fire to spell out her name. If anyone knew who she was, they avoided her. If someone didn't know who she was, she always made a point to make herself known, even if it meant incinerating them and everything they knew or loved. She was insane in every possible way and was a self-proclaimed goddess of the sun. Many responded by calling her a god of calamity if there were to be any gods. "If Nouara were to be located beforehand, your identities would be secured for prison infiltration. .. And even after such an ambitious act that would raise the eye of the military, waiting months before rendezvousing would be merely a concept of the past. With my jobs, I'm hoping to establish a network of individuals with beneficial skills to aid in each-others endeavors, especially for those with larger aspirations such as yourselves." Zaffre would stop motioning his fingers, instead focusing the hologram on the three icons of Nouara, Faye, and Almeda as his topics of interest. He paused just long enough to take a drink of his tea, placing a now empty cup on the counter. "That is what it means to be a Collective." ... Perhaps that was a term that would ring in their minds, a myth of a crime organization that was once said to have been behind countless ongoings in Remnants. Some even thought a group called 'The Collective' ran the world in some ways, but an old organization of rumor that had died in recent years. Ghost and Victor may have been too young to understand what his reference pertained to, a former organization of rumor from his own making.

"But, that's only if you two choose to. I intent to reach these individuals in time either way, I only chose to include you in your best interest. If you believe they have no value among your aspirations, I understand. Though... Networks and assets weren't my only intended payment." Zaffre would add on as one last bit. Whether it was money, assets, favors, or resources that only he had the ability to acquire. Zaffre was a flexible man, especially when it came to acquiring something that he wanted to accomplish. Again, though, his own missions pertained no particular importance to the tasks they wanted to accomplish. "Either way, I find both of your ambitions of particular interest. Would you care to enlighten me of the details?" Be it Ghost's assassination of Victor's public statement against Vale with demolition, Zaffre had all his cards on the table to inquire and aid... Though, his gaze would shift at the sound of an open door. Sets of footsteps, a pair of two, and the bartender appearing to run laps back and forth from the bar itself and the backroom. "Business as usual?" He asked with a hum, though found himself rather fortunate that he explained his piece already. With it, he'd place his fingers around the small projector. The image blinked away as he pulled it back to his person.

The Assassin
▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄

Ghost listened silently as Akuryo would mention possible use of the dust to make addictive, should they be able to mass produce it. That seemed to be the issue at the heart of it, even if Zaffre felt confident that it was only trial and error till they had all the ingredients they would need. Ghost wasn't as sure; both in reproducing the effects and in how they should use it. Such a substance could easily be turned against them either way, especially if it became ubiquitous for people. So having a private edge over others was something he was in favor for. How long it would stay as private use, assuming Zaffree managed to figure out its recipe, was another matter entirely. For now, he would drink a bit of his tea and silently think on the matter. Until they could synthesize it, it was a matter to be dealt with in the future. 'If we can.' He thought to himself silently. It seemed the Yatomura family was of high importance to his two partners, as t were. Having received the rare straight forward answer from Zaffree that he had his attention, and even Akuryo saying his job was not quite as important as the one Ghost proposed. It was good to know both were eager to participate in this. He took some silent joy in denying them more details for now and having them explain their own jobs first; it never did to reveal all your cards at once after all. He found Akuryo's demolition job intriguing, as he rarely got to have the thrill of a job that wasn't as clean and surgical as assassination was. Though Zaffre also gave a tempting offer with his line of work as well; less of jobs to do something for someone else, and more to gain contacts and allies they could use for their own advantages.

This in particular had Ghost forego his usual demeanor of calm curiosity as his eyes were intently on Zaffre; curious what kind of a network he had in mind in terms of what could be provided. Though Ghost would also find his eyes drawn to the projector Zaffre had taken out even as his eyes turned blue. A list of names, faces, and information would com out from the projector; seeming to be the type where if you had someone specifically in mind, you could learn more. For now, it was a random mess; but knowing Zaffre that would soon change. He would say how these were all assets he built up over the years, but he had lost contact with them and wanted to change that. While Ghost was internally suspicious, despite knowing this benefitted himself as well, of what this could mean for the future....He also knew the potential benefit could outweigh the cost. He seemed sure they were just waiting to be contacted again but that begged a question to Ghost. 'What caused them to lose contact with him...and why has he not sought them out yet?' He thought to himself silently, choosing not to ask the question for now. He wanted to hear all the man had to say first so he could get as many details freely as possible. Of the few passing ones, Ghost took particular interest in the one named Nouara; one who was known as a master of disguise. That much, despite Ghost's own ability in such things, would be of use in particular to him. Though Zaffre would stop on another individual; Almeida Sunbringer. Appropriately to her name, she had charges for arson among other things and was declared clinically insane. Which that part did get Ghost to smile in amusement. 'I wonder how insane she truly is.' He wondered.

Zaffre would go on to say how she would be of great help to Akuryo's own job, which made sense. But getting to them would be the hard part; her being locked away with one of the other names Ghost had noticed of someone who had been charged for multiple accounts of murder. It seemed to be a two for one deal, if they were to be released. While not the ideal one Ghost sought, they would have purposes for the future and could be valuable. Especially if Zaffre wanted them out; it meant he already had a plan for them. He himself was unfamiliar with those two names at least; though he would fix that with time, as he did not like staying in the dark for long of potential contacts. Though perhaps there had been a reason they had not been priorities to his employer besides their detainment. Zaffre would also mention Nouara next, saying how she could secure identities for prison information and help them after their jobs so that they have little to fear of discovery from the military. Which would be a very very useful start point; having only seen a few choice names in the entire list, and knowing Zaffre wanted to continue his network, it would be a good start. And if Sunbringer were truly insane, it'd be good to get her after they had something to cover their tracks. Destruction was great, but wild cards could also backfire if precautions weren't taken. For now, it seemed those were the main targets Zaffre wanted restored first.

Leaving the image of the three up, Zaffre would take a sip of his tea and say that was what it meant to be a collective. The name ran familiar to Ghost, though he wasn't sure exactly why. Something else he would need to research in the future it seemed. He would then go back to an almost casual wording of how this was if they desired and how he was flexible in their own rewards. Ghost not sure if it was genuine or a way to entice them further or both. But he had already become partial to the idea of it all. If push came to shove and it didn't work out, he would have backups. And he knew not to trust fully into such things; while they all had need and use of each other now, that may not always be so. But that didn't mean they couldn't aid one another in power for now when it benefitted all of them. "Thank you for the offer. I can see the benefit of such a...retrieval. If we were to do so, I would personally recommend Nouara first. It would help with all future retrievals as well." He would simply comment, being the type to observe and listen first and foremost before speaking usually. Words said in haste had a habit of coming back at the most inopportune times. As Zaffre would ask for more details on their own jobs though, they would find their meeting interrupted by a door opening. Two new figures would enter the room. An average size man (or so Ghost assumed for now) with golden armor, black hair and golden eyes would enter with a shorter horned faunus; a female with silver hair and greyish-violet eyes. The man, mostly because of the attire he wore, seemed to be the leading one as they would go over to the bar. Ghost's eyes would begin to glow as he studied the man's companion; reasoning, in his own mind if they were here, it was always the less obvious ones you had to worry about. While Ghost wasn't exactly sure what was exchanged, he would hear Zaffre ask if it was business as usual; Ghost unsure if it was directed towards them, the newcomers, or the bar keep as his focus was on the mans companion. He would hear the man, rather loudly, proclaim he got a map key and it was how he would find his friend. Ghost pondered for a moment, in thought as they were given drinks and the man quickly drank it down before slamming it on the bar, before he would rise and walk towards them casually. Giving a nod to those at his table that he would handle it. His demeanor friendly beneath his veil as he seemed fairly laid back and unhurried. "Mind if I join you two for a drink? The bar table had been growing a bit dull and dreary but your presence seems to have livened things up a little." He would say, glowing eyes looking in the direction of both of them but primarily the faunus. He would slip some currency onto the bar without looking at the bartender. "One angry orchard please." He would simply say as the bartender went to fetch the drink. Pausing for a moment...before he would speak again. "How rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself. I am known as Ghost. A pleasure to meet you two." He would finish with a small half bow to them. While they were an interruption to their meeting, and the fastest way to continue the meeting was to ignore them and wait for them to leave, Ghost had his curiosity piqued. And it never hurt to try and learn more of others; whether they were a target or not.

The bar was not where Frea often frequent. Unless there was situation that required her a drink with her clients or something from the bartender, her face would be unfamiliar to the regulars. Nonetheless, her merchant trade earned her a skill in reading people better than back then, so without Fang's warning, she would sense something wrong. Though, perhaps still not on par with the instinct that the man had. At the corner of her eye, she noticed movement of a tan hand. The action was a confusing to her, but she did not comment on it.

With Fang's warning, she huddled closer to her teammate. Unlike Fang's confidence, her specialty involved staying quiet, blending in with the background, observed and spoke up when needed. Her fighting skill had not increased that much even after time passed. It was irony that Fang would remain her "meat shield", though the thought was more of fondness rather the previous calculation. People would pay more attention to his flashy actions more than her. Quiet, she watched on as Fang did his thing. What happened included a series of under the table actions including codes she did not understand, but she held back her small curiosity for later as she followed Fang's guidance.

The faunus would return the man's smile as he explained a little of what he got. The process was smooth and natural, like Fang had not disappeared from the area for a while. Violet looked at the male as he down his beer before eyeing hers. Picking up the mug, she sipped at the liquid before putting it down at half of the liquid. Dainty brow knitted together for a quick second before schooling back to neutral. She did not have a preference for alcohol, despite able to stomach it. Juice, tea or something non-alcoholic would be better.

A sudden appearance at their table was unexpected. It raised her suspicions, especially something about the stranger's eyes, the way they paid attention to her despite her habit of making herself not noticeable. She did not answer the man's introduction, choosing to wait for Fang to react.

'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'

Victor looked at Zaffre and hid his disgust of the mixture of man and machine smirking as he retained a bored look while listening to the two speak. Zaffre stated that while it could work, the lack of accurate ingredients and a foreign device would make it very difficult. "I see." He stated as it was all he could say before he took another drink from his literal bloody mary, indulging in the liquor and the Blood he so desperately needed to curb his identity's mind. "Well, whatever path we pick, it's going to play well in our favor no matter what, who knows it could even get us to Atlas sooner." However as he finished speaking did they listen to the Zaffre once more as he spoke about the networking of multiple people. "Go on..." He started before he chuckled and shook his head. "Sounds to me if you lose contact you have to replace them regardless." He told Zaffre as a punch to the man's networking gut while the man soon started to speak about people while viewing the scroll with a raised eyebrow before he soon noticed some other beings through the screen. He raised an eyebrow and soon narrowed his eyes while raising his head up.

He was about to comment while his eyes were then attracted to picture of a half-burnt woman and his eyes narrowed. She looked Familiar..... the burns seemed more permanent than anything before he soon shook his head. 'No, it couldn't be the same woman he tried to kill for competition.' He mentally stated before soon saying. "SV may like to meet her." The beings he saw just outside the window and the scroll finally entered the bar and Victor's lips went quiet as his eyes looked to Ghost. "I would say N as well." He stated calmly and quietly while Ghost took the time to meet with the new people alone. He knew the man could handle them and he was being calm on his own end to avoid arousing suspicion. However, he slipped his hands into his jacket and grabbed ahold of a few scalpels before he closed his eyes and waited. If this man and woman caused Trouble, Victor would unleash the attack first to put and end to it. "N would be better for us in the longrun for creating alibis." He whispered to Zaffre in a hushed voice while moving his mask up to hide half of his face.

Fang didn't notice the man until he was right beside him. He had let his guard down, but then again, he didn't expect them to halt their meeting just to come say hi to the pair. Fang's golden hues would follow the man's eyes to Frea. He seemed friendly, but had an obvious interest in his faunus partner in crime, Fang wondered if it was lust, that was the usual culprit when a man at a bar approaches a lady, but when a lady is with a man it usually means he wants a fight, or something else. Fang would lean back onto the bar with his elbows up and an eyebrow raised. He was curious of the man's intentions now. "Its a free world Ghost, do as you wish." He said in response to him asking if he could join them for a drink. Fang's tone was stern, but not harsh. His eyes were lit with a fiery passion of the sun itself as he locked eyes with Ghost. Trying to read into them unashamed of prolonged eye contact. But this would only last so long before he saw Frea's brows make it clear that she wasn't too much into the drink. Fang figured this might be the case and he let out a loud chuckle as he ordered a second with a swift hand gesture to the bartender.

"Beer is just fermented wheat tea, in essence." He said aloud, but focused on Frea to lighten the mood of the situation a bit. He hated when things felt intense unnecessarily, but that was just his style. He was alert now, but relaxed. "Just as coffee is bean tea." This was a long running joke of his. Everything was tea. Just a different kind of tea.

Fang could hear the other two at the table now speaking in hushed tones. This was the first thing that would normally make a man feel tense, but Fang had made a home for himself in the city of Phoxuria many a time in the past. He knew that in the end there was very little to worry about when it came to criminals, as foulplay was expected, and as long as it was expected there was nothing to worry about. This was the mindset of any career criminal. "I'm Fang, Fang Petrichor." He finally said as the bartender brought his drink out to him which he downed seconds after the mug hit the bar counter top. "Its nice to meet you Ghost, but we didn't mean to intrude on your private meeting. I sort of have a habit of breaking locked doors without realizing it." Fang said with a wink. It was true though, he was too strong and manhandled doors till they opened frequently. It usually led to trouble, but maybe in this case it led to a new friend?

Fang's joke was not that funny, but it amused Frea somewhat and she offered a quirk of lips that quickly disappeared behind her mug, from which she took a sip. "If we follow on that logic, I suppose that wine should be something of a "Juice tea" or something of that kind?"

Violet eyes returned to the stranger as she listened to Fang introducing himself. Her teammate's tone seemed friendly enough, so she offered her introduction and a polite nod towards Ghost. "My name is Frea Skalas. A pleasure to meet you."

Hiding her face behind her mug again, she remained silent and trying to fade her presence in the table. She trusted Fang to be the one to interact with this stranger called Ghost. While trying to be nonchalant, her eyes flickered to Fang's. If their sight met, he would see the confusion in it. She would glance briefly at Ghost and return to Fang's as a suggestion. It was a silent question about the newcomer, about what the two should do next.

XXXVictor's comment was laughable, getting just a chuckle from his metal-covered lips. It wasn't that Victor was wrong in that regard, but Zaffre had been at this far longer than just an impulsive meeting. He had been sourcing and connecting, tracking each of these individuals down and digging up any information that he could. He knew each of their approximate situations and had an idea of how to restring the network. Each of these individuals, as well, Zaffre had made a connection with. Whether it was loyalty or brainwashing. It was only recently that he proved that even after half a decade if the man left his mark on someone, it remained. Two professors at the academy were a testament to that. "Perhaps, though a moot point. If there's a way to reestablish a connection, then there's no point in settling for a subpar thug." He said plainly, lifting the cup of his wave-themed teacup to his lips once again. It was a soft sip and the smack of artificial lips before he continued. "Though if working with the two of you shows they've spent their value, then we'll merely look elsewhere. I won't deny that value can diminish over time."

It was sure to raise an eye from both his companions that his mention of losing contact held some curiosity or suspicion. After all, he himself would be questioning that aspect. Why lose contact? Why wait until all this time? What made these people such valuable assets, and why wait on others to take the leap? Well, times had changed. He was building from the ground up, and had to bide his time in order to tactfully piece his organization back together. Calling on old favors, making new allies, then creating a planogram of who he'd reach out to for what reasons first. Certain individuals, like Nouara, had a key role in it all. The conversation began to shift from his choice of networking with old colleagues to which ones they should pay attention to. Victor expressed an inkling of interest in his personal favorite psychopath, Almeda, to which his brightly lit hues would shift to the man. "So long as the cards fall into place properly, I'm certain I could arrange for the two to meet... Though I'm sure they've got her in a state where she wouldn't make good conversation." It wasn't uncommon to keep certain patients on psychiatric drugs to induce some manner of mental stability, or the very least to shush them. Especially her. Which raised the question though, why keep her alive if she was such a danger? Then Ghost would give his own input. Although he wasn't in opposition to such a retrieval, he recommended recruiting some other colleagues beforehand. After all, a prison break to get a minimum of two well-known criminals out wasn't anything to scoff at. He respected that and mentally agreed with it himself. It was at this point that their other guests had made their entrance, and Ghost himself was insistent on taking charge of the situation and handling their unwelcome guest. Not that they appeared that way to Ghost. In fact, he himself seemed to be quite sociable with the newcomers. Beginning to eavesdrop, he couldn't help but mentally chuckle at the man's remark. This world was anything but free, though was certainly fun to play.

His attention flashed back to Victor briefly, catching his own interest in Nouara, whose name had been shortened to N. Smart of the boy. The last thing they needed were a couple of strangers trying to find their invisible woman before them, or give her warning. Carefully, Zaffre would tilt his cup to finish off the last of the steaming liquid, though unable to feel the warmth trickling into whatever components stored such material. As he did, his eyes refocused on the newcomers, his shutter like hues adjusting to zoom in on the individuals. A male and a female, one a faunus, but both had their pictures snapped and stored outside his basic memory. Zaffre would be wary, but felt that these two held little threat to them. ... That wasn't the case for Victor, it seemed, who upon reexamination seemed rather tense. His hand had hidden away in his shirt, likely to grip one of his mess of bladed weapons as his mask was moved over his face. Nodding carefully, Zaffre would respond in a similarly hushed tone. "I couldn't agree more. In that case... I'll do a bit of recon to assemble a plan, and prepare her package for delivery. I have a gift for her in good faith that's long overdue. I'll send details to both of you later on." He nodded quietly, likely leaving the young murder to question what exactly Zaffre had planned for the two of them and Nouara. It was simply that, though. To locate the woman who was infamously known for being impossible to track, and to deliver a parcel in his place to win over her favor. Zaffre knew the way to the woman's heart, once working in such close quarters with her himself.

Tapping his cheek, the metallic teeth of his mask would snap shut and he'd turn his attention from Victor. Still over listening on Ghost and the other's interaction, he gathered just a bit of intel. In just their brief conversation, Zaffre had already learned and taken note of their names: Fang Petrichor and Frea Skalas. 'I'll have to do some digging on them later.' He thought to himself before pushing himself up on his feet. Carefully, he'd begin to collect the cups that were left at the table. He'd offer his hand out towards Victor's, then ask calmly. "May I take your glass, or treat you to a refill, sir?" That was right, he had a role to play now. He was a bartender and a server, though clearly held far more of a presence than the bartender himself. Depending on Victor's response, he'd either take or leave his cup before stepping away from the counter. He wanted clearer opportunity to oversee the conversation that was going underway. That, and he had his own questioning to do of the other bartender. Such as what he had given the man named Fang, and further details assessing both the location, the reasoning, and possible who Fang and his companion could have been. That, of course, if Ghost hadn't intended to weasel it out already. He'd step behind the bar calmly, giving himself a new opportunity to interject to make light of the conversation. After all, the woman herself seemed rather uncertain about it all. "I suppose in a world of tea, sake would then simply be rice-tea. Not to be confused with your juice-tea, miss." He said with an amused tone, though the woman wouldn't be able to see the smirk beneath his oni-styled mask. Without much else to say in an interjection, he'd begin rinsing the mugs that they had used at his own table... As well as preparing another bloody-mary, if Victor had wished. He would simply be an overseer, while Ghost was the confrontation, and Victor was their security. Fang and Frea had certainly picked an interesting time to visit the bar.

The Assassin
▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄

The stranger seemed curiously at ease, unlike his counterpart, as he would lean against the bar and say it was a free world for Ghost to do as he wished; tone stern if not harsh, and as Ghost looked, he would see the mans eyes were lit with a fiery passion. This, for whatever reason, was a bit amusing to Ghost as he kept a calm smile beneath his veil; his own eyes seeming calm but reflecting perhaps a bit more of interest beneath. The man would also see that Ghost would be unflinching despite the eye contact; taking it as normal without a worry. As that was truly how Ghost took such things; eye contact never bothered him, and confrontation was never something he shied away from. What caught Ghost by surprise was Fang suddenly changing gears, talking about beer being fermented wheat tea as he refocused on his partner for the moment. Ghost eyes following curiously to see she had a curious expression, probably from the drink itself. He would then say just as coffee was a bean tea...making Ghost question for a moment how that made sense before internally shrugging it off. 'Eccentric...at least the man is interesting enough.' He thought to himself silently. His companion would follow on to say wine would be a juice tea then; seeming to indicate this was a kind of joke between the two of them.

The man would then introduce himself as Fang, Fang Petrichor, and quickly down the drink the bartender brought in no time at all. 'He either knows how to handle his liquor well or is trying to show off; I am just not certain of which.' Ghost thought to himself silently. As he did so, his partner would speak up; introducing herself with a polite nod as Frea Skalas and that it was a pleasure to meet him before seeming to try and hide her face behind a mug. 'Don't think I have heard of these two before but perhaps research is in order later.' He thought to himself silently as his own drink would arrive and he would calmly bring it up for a drink as Fang would continue speaking now; saying it was nice to meet him, he didn't mean to interrupt private meetings, and that he seemed to have a habit of breaking locked doors without realizing it. Ghost could only give a friendly nod and smile to the duo in return. "It's quite alright. In this town, so many are wary of interruption and consequences it makes things rather un-exciting. After all, how can you make new acquaintances if you spend all your time avoiding others?" He would ask, perhaps sounding a bit rhetorically but would await if any response was given. As Ghost went to take another sip of his drink, enjoying the flavor, he would be surprised to see them joined now by Zaffre at the counter as he seemed to be working the bar now. Adding his own quip to the tea puns of earlier now that he was here; amusing and clever, Ghost thought to himself.

Looking to the duo, giving Frea a small reprieve for now, he would speak once more. "I hope you'll excuse my forwardness but in your excitement Fang...You did rather loudly mention something about a map key and a friend. I don't suppose you would need assistance with that, would you? It has truthfully piqued my own curiosity, as we were just talking about potential work we could do since things have been slow here as of late. Or, if not this, have any jobs you may know of that could require an extra hand or two? You two seem like an interesting sort, and given things haven't devolved to a fight or unpleasantness, and I would like to get to know new people." Ghost would say with a calm seriousness to him; for now at least. His eyes having been going between the duo and not focusing on one alone. While he could go indirectly questioning them or wait on asking, he felt he may as well get to the point cause the longer he would delay the more likely it would not be revealed. Especially if they left soon, given the unease of Frea who his eyes turned to now; his expression being one of sympathy. "Apologies for my eyes by the way; its a strange quirk of my semblance that they will glow whenever something catches my interest; and you two have brought that to this dreary place. I could not help but comment though, you have an apt sense of fashion; your attire suits you well Frea. Did you make it yourself?" He would say, offering an explanation for his eyes and for his focus on Frea if they believed it. It was not entirely untrue statements; his eyes glowed when he found interest in others, as those are the ones he studies. As for her fashion and appearance it was a genuine compliment as well; even if his focus on her was more because he found the quiet ones the type you needed to learn more of because they were not as free with information as others. Though he was genuinely curious if she made it or if it was from a shop; he may commission an outfit from such a shop if so. Eyes studying her, but from all the distractions, he did not learn anything this round at least.

'One, two, Becky's coming for you. Three, four, your luck is so poor. Five, six, we sail the river styx. Seven, eight, the vultures haven't ate. Nine, ten, you'll never see again.'

Victor listened to the Fang as he introduced himself to the spectre and told him that he tends to accidentally break barricaded doors and locks. He looked to his friend who introduced herself as Frea Skalas while he kept his real amber eyes upon the two and looked to Zaffre while Ghost talked to them. He nodded his head at Zaffre as he made notes to prepare the package as he did have more questions, but now isn't the time to ask of them. Not while they had two unwanted bodies here, which did sour the Akuryo mood who removed his mask just to finish his literal bloody mary before he sets it back down on the coaster. He looked to Zaffre who offered him a refill, causing Victor to chuckle as he pulled his mask back up. "It'd be much appreciated to get another one." He told the man as he stepped away to get closer to the conversation the trio were having. Victor shook his head as he looked down into his cup, pondering his choices as he remembered how Solvit had found him when he was contemplating suicide. The choices he made up until now were indeed conscious actions he took to make before he would re-assume this dead identity.

Victor shook his head, trying to clear his mind and thoughts before he looked wearily to the conversation of Ghost, Fang, and Frea as they spoke.
"You should join them." A voice spoke in his head, causing him to jump slightly as he looked to them and narrowed his eyes before he leaned and waited for his drink, muttering to himself. "I won't interrupt his attempt at friendship." He told the voice, trying to ignore it as it spoke more. "Yet here you are, getting bored. Didn't you just consume blood? I'm sure those two would make lovely corpses to drink from. Bet one of them is O+" The voice told him, causing him to glare at the ground as he ignored it and didn't respond.
