Amazing? R’elien hadn’t thought of himself as amazing for a long time. Hearing it from his love though had a different impact. He hesitated and then began to smile. He’d snuck into her heart after a long while.
“It was worth all the trouble,” he said. “I love you.” He knew her heart was where he wanted to stay.

"Good, I am glad it was, though I do feel kind of bad for putting you through all that. However, you proved you were more than worthy of being in my life. I love you too and Kaeth,"she spoke, reaching over to kiss him.

Proved himself more than worthy? R’elien smiles at that, bending to kiss her. He couldn’t imagine being with someone else. She was so uniquely her, the person he loved just as much as he loved Kaeth.
“When will you let me tell all Pern about my feelings for you?” He asked.

“But why keep it secret?” R’elien asked. He knew and understood her point of view, but why shouldn’t he show the person he loved most off? He wanted everyone to know he was hers and she was his.
He kissed her cheek. “Alright. We’ll tell everyone when you’re ready.”

"Why announce it to the world, they don't need to know. If they are sharding idiots enough not to notice, then that is their business. I only care about our loved ones knowing,"she replied. She didn't think people needed to know she loved R'elien, she knew and those she cared about knew.

"Because if I announce it to the world, everyone will know you're mine," R'elien offered, with a shrug. "Then dimglows like Marinel and any other guy who tries to approach you will know what's hit them when you tear their words apart." He looked to her and smirked. "And then, between have mercy on them, because I certainly won't."
He kissed her cheek. "Also, a man needs to be able to brag a bit about the girl he's fallen for, doesn't he? Shouldn't Pern know how wonderful you are?"

"I think my words kind of speak for themselves and I will make sure they know they don't have a chance. Pern doesn't need to know how wonderful I am, those who matter already know. Plus, I don't mind you bragging to me,"she pointed out, kissing his cheek in return.

Bragging to her? But she’d said she’d throw something at him if he said she was beautiful! “Alright,” he said, “I’ll tell the world how beautiful you are.” He moved close to her, pressing his lips to her ear. “You’re beautiful.” She was his world.
“I know a secret about the girl I love,” he added.

Just as she was about to remind him that he had just told him the world didn't need to know, Astriana found him getting closer. Then a soft smile came to her lips feeling his lips against her ear, whispering how she was beautiful. He was certainly a sneaky one, but she loved him. When he added something, she gave him a questioning look.
"Oh, do you?"she asked.

He smiled. She hadn’t reacted badly! He was delighted. He hadn’t really expected her to, but there was always that niggling thought in the back of his mind, telling him he was doing this wrong. Their relationship was still so new. It felt like glass. He didn’t want to break it.
“Yes,” he said, and leaned close as if to reveal the secret. “I love her more than anything.”

Astriana was curious as she saw him coming closer, before his whisper filled her ear again. Another smile came to her lips at his words, though she already knew that one herself.
"So I have heard, she is a very lucky young woman, I must say. To have someone love her that much,"she commented.

"Well, I suggest maybe making sure she is well cared for. I have heard she can be a hard one to crack, but that she is willing to do just about anything for those she loves. And some food sounds like a good idea, I am kind of hungry. Caelia will love getting something to eat too,"she nodded her head.

“Oh, of course,” R’elien agreed with a playful smile. “She’ll be well cared for. She’s going to be absolutely spoiled.” Good, she was hungry too. He began to lead her to the dining hall. “Do you think Caelia will share with Abaven if I get them a meatroll?” He asked.
