(Zinkenite) chooses to use Haumea and Alkaid's combined Energy Signature to guide their pathway back to the origin point.

He was not fond of the look of that mist, while he knew his new eye gave him …. very limited assistance in that regard, it did come with a massive headache and he didn’t think they could risk a stabbing migraine.

“We should return.” He said as quietly as he could through the window. “Here… take my hand… offering it through the window to allow those whom had climbed inside a better way to avoid the glass and return quickly.

“There are things in that mist, rather than risking the path, let’s follow the Energy signatures, it should be faster to get back to the corrupts that way. Even my goggles won’t be much help I suspect.”

Jet chooses to use Haumea and Alkaid's combined Energy Signature to guide their pathway back to the origin point.

While his sour mood was lessened slightly at the sight of giant Seraphinite somehow managing to crawl through a window to follow him, the less than useful things they found in the house made him grumpy again. And now he smelled disgusting. Fantastic. He sincerely hoped it would wash out and not linger.

The shriek heard made the young General wince, although he knew it had been a chance that they might attract attention. He had hoped, since they hadn’t seen any, that the youma would stay away. Apparently not.

The summons from Haumea came, and Jet waved for both Seraphinite and Gadolinite to head back towards the windows, making sure they weren’t lingering too far behind before preparing to crawl out himself.

Aside from the three of them, another General he was fairly certain named Leucite, and a lieutenant (Atheneite) he hadn’t met, had also climbed in through windows. He would just wait until they had exited the structure before following. Leaving a lieutenant behind would be unacceptable.

“Thank you,” Jet said with a nod to the General King as he helped him and the others from the window, and nodded in agreement to his suggestion.

“I understand this is hardly an opportune time to make introductions, but it may prove useful should we end up having to fight. I’m Jet. This is Seraphinite and Gadolinite,” he quickly introduced as the captain and corrupted super were helped from the broken window and back outside. He spoke not just to the General King, but to the others around them as well.

In his opinion, it was better than yelling out “hey you” in the middle of a life or death situation.

“Keep an eye on the others. Make sure no one gets left behind,” he now turned to Seraphinite and Gadolinite to give them their orders as he frowned at the rolling mist.

General Stibnite chooses to use Haumea and Alkaid's combined Energy Signature to guide their pathway back to the origin point. (13pts)

For a brief moment, Stibnite gave Dravite a smile as she listened to him. She knew he had to have a good shot but listening to him, Stibnite was pretty sure she never wanted to find out just how good unless she was standing beside him.

Yet before she could say such a thing, the other corrupt brought up the point of trouble being on the inside over the out. That was all well and good until she jerked her head towards the river. A think, ungodly odd mist was rolling over the river and directly towards them.

"Leucite!" Stibnite snapped rather loudly, only to be met with a second worrying item. A shriek filled the air and she gazed back to the river and mist before turning her eyes to Zink. "Get out of that house...NOW" The order wasn't to anyone more so than a point and command at the male she would smack over the head later if he decided to play 'hero'.

As Zink offered assistance towards the others crawling out, Stibnite moved forward, her own skills as a hunter in real life coming into play more now than before. She knew when your eyes were no longer of use, you had to rely on every other sense....

The only other person she knew like that was Dravite. Glancing towards him, she jerked her head for him to join her in watching. The corrupts she would worry about no more nor no less than anyone else. That shriek had her on guard for everyone now. As others worked with those getting them out, she would at least watch their backs for as long as she could.

It was only once they were all out that she would move again, trusting not her eyes but her other senses. the one strong enough was the energy signatures.

"Forget trusting your eyes. In this, anything could easily be mistaken for something it isn't." She answered towards Zink's concerning comments. She felt as if he was unsure but at the same time, the woman knew this could not be a time of doubt. Like it or not, people were trusting him and if he needed a firm kick in the a**, she would happily be the one to give it. Rank be damned.

"Because if this is some sort of Stephen King horror film, I don't plan on being food."

General Leucite chooses to use Haumea and Alkaid's combined Energy Signature to guide their pathway back to the origin point. [+5, +3, +3]

He didn't need to be told twice - not from the tone he heard in his wife's voice. Leaving the debris he'd found in the house as abandoned as he'd found them, he scrambled up and out of the window faster than he had going in, dismissing his spear only long enough to get a good hand hold to haul himself out. Then the spear was back in hand, and he kept his gaze on the mists around them, listening with his ears instead of looking with his eyes - and feeling out with his other senses granted to him in this form to feel the auras around him - masked and muddled as they were.

"We should all stick together," He said, moving to try and provide some sort of rally point. "Sound of it you see or feel anything - we need to know where an attack might come from - and in this mist, it could come from anywhere."

This statement of course, was directed to everyone around him, not that he could identify them all as the mist began to roll in. "We need to get this movable feast underway."

Oh Jurassic Park sequels - sometimes you have good lines.

Captain Nissonite chooses to use Haumea and Alkaid's combined Energy Signature to guide their pathway back to the origin point.

"Well, that part I knew," he admitted, sticking close to Amphi's side as they looked through what appeared to be a very deserted house. "I mean these houses," he gestured to the walls around them. "All these structures and towers, the gears, all of it." It just seemed weird that there would be what looked like a town situated in the middle of what was more or less a desolate wasteland filled with monsters. How old was it? And what was here before the youma had moved in?

A shriek cut off any further conversation and both Niss and Amphi were headed back out the door as Haumaea's orders came through their communicators.

As they hit open air he turned to his companion to ask, "Should we wait for the other's or just keep moving?" But she was already heading off, moving purposefully, like she knew something he didn't, and Nissonite didn't question her judgement, he just fell into place at her side, glancing back over his shoulder towards the house.

(General Faustite) chooses to follow The Road back to the origin point.

When rusted blood first loomed into view, ey thought little of it. The Rift, in its broken dregs of history, knew many who died here. It knew the feel of nail and bone clawing stone, desperately churning up the dust of failed survival. It knew the names of the thousands who lived once before, when this village touched the sun. it knew all the ways a human body could be disentangled from its troublesome existence. Why would a bloodstain down a wall mean anything more? As ey glanced from bush to bush, dragged the hydraulic shocks on eir boots through the underbrush, Faustite found more and more empty time to consider them against eir own bleary tragedies.

Faustite saw how much blood left a human boy, and it was far more than what remained on that wall. Ey looked, for the first time, directly at its spatter and felt a commiserating groan growing from where bone met steel. The general passed a smoky sigh through his nose. "Is this supposed to be a map or a red herring?" The question lingered little longer than a breath —

— before the stalking things that gave life to this austere landscape screamed into the air. Faustite's jaw steeled. Eir blood quickened with fear and wit. A quick glance informed of others pouring thick from the house and funneling toward Haumea and Alkaid's energy signatures like a river.

"Better that we stay distant," and the general broke, stumbling, into a run. Over the wall, past the doors to the dilapidated residence, out to the road where paving stones scattered and cracked. Few chose to head this way in the insensate mist, where keening signatures echoed about them. Ey spotted only one known, once sulking, now skulking, toward the road.

The lack of feedback was pressure on eir skin. How she would laugh if I got lost twice.

Eternal Amphitrite chooses to use Haumea and Alkaid's combined Energy Signature to guide their pathway back to the origin point.

The thought came and went that it might be fun to grab a relic or two from the rift, just a keepsake of her time spent in the deepest crevices of a place she was usually unable to tread, a place so close to the core of the Negaverse. But this was a mission, not a vacation, and this was hardly a tourist trap. "I wish I could say, but I honestly don't know enough the inner workings of the rift to know." Amphitrite was very candid about this. "Ask your general, though - I think he knows a thing or two."

With the shriek, though, Amphitrite immediately knew they could not stay where they were - if they were going to be attacked, they needed to be together. "Adamantine!" she called as loudly as she dared, already creeping towards the edges of the house, wanting badly to move. She trusted her senses more than any path, so there really wasn't any 'decision' to be made in her eyes.

General Arsenopyrite chooses to follow The Road back to the origin point.

Arseno was starting to get annoyed. He knew that they most likely weren't going to find anything but it was still such a disappointment. And a waste of time. Why would the gear be in a random house anyway? That was his first mistake. Then he heard what he thought was a shriek. He didn't recognize it though, but decided to join everyone outside of the house. They had two options of course, to get back to the two corrupt senshi but there seemed to be some sort of... mist in the way.

Arseno had a feeling in his gut that they were going to run into something big, but what it was, he didn't know. He could follow the rest that were going to go off the road, but... the road was a point that he could get his bearings from. If he stayed on it, hopefully he wouldn't get lost, unless it was some sort of illusion.

There was some sort of... large energy signature that he could feel, but did that mean it was coming from the two corrupts? He could have sworn that they felt different...

He decided to take a chance and follow the road. If anything were to come upon him, then he would just have to face it. If he needed, he could try summoning Ödön if he needed the help of his youma. Hopefully not though.

That was when he noticed that Faustite also seemed to be heading toward the road. Far more seemed to want to follow the combined energy signature. He supposed it was the better idea. But still, something made him want to follow the road. He looked at Faustite and gave the other a nod. If they ran into something, hopefully they could battle it together. If Arseno had to battle it himself though, he would.

(Eternal Aue) chooses to follow The Road back to the origin point.

Nothing about dried blood in the Rift was strange, not even when it seemed to form directions. Even Faustite seemed to find the idea as common as the stock from whence clearance shoes came from at Target, though he dutifully brought paper and pencil from subspace to copy the marks. Perhaps they would carry some measure of significance to someone.

Aue pulled his communicator out and drew it into tablet configuration to use the recording function; Rift interference made the image grainy and full of artefacts, but at least it could be paired with Faustite's drawing for a more accurate picture. The senshi also recorded the coordinates, time and date for future reference before returning his device to the subspace pocket he'd brought it from.

Ululating cries rent the air - monsters finding prey - around them mist and shadows shifted towards the largest energy signature. Ah--

The Finn followed like Faustite's faithful hound, large but quick, to the road where there were few others to be seen. All others seemed drawn like moths to flame towards Alkaid and Haumea, towards the roiling mass of Chaotic signatures and noise. "As you wish, General."

Corrupted Valeria chooses to follow The Road back to the origin point.

She wasn't the best when it came to following energy signatures, having not spent enough time powered up, and she didn't trust what she was feeling. It seemed to waver and be a bit scattered. Deciding on the road as a guide she took to slowly shuffling her feet on the ground so she knew, and heard, the stones under her heels. It would take time, and put her at greater risk, but it was better than rushing off into the mist and hoping she could find where she needed to be - right?

Shuffling her heels on the ground, they'd repair themselves between power ups, the corrupted senshi made her way through the mist as best she could. Her heels continuing to scuffle and shuffle along the paving stones, even at one point she got down to press her hands about to find the path again as she had seemed to perhaps stray a bit. But she kept on course to her best ability.

(Lt. Dravite) chooses to use Haumea and Alkaid's combined Energy Signature to guide their pathway back to the origin point.

He had been expecting an ambush from creatures lurking around in the buildings shadows to try and trap their comrade’s inside, feral youma for Stibnite to shoot at. What he had not been expecting, however, was the thick rolling mist that would soon consume them. It was no different than being caught in a sandstorm while under fire. Too easily could allies be mistaken for enemies especially when individuals were choosing not to stick together.

With his makeshift dagger tightly held in one hand and the chain held in the other, he did his best to stay close to at least Stibnite if only to protect her backside as they tried to follow after the two corrupts who had originally led them there in the first place.

Eternal Adamantine chooses to use Haumea and Alkaid's combined Energy Signature to guide their pathway back to the origin point.

The corrupt moved up the stairs, opening doors and exploring some of the rooms as she saw fit. She did nothing to stop the smaller corrupt from seeking attention from the wolfpack guardian, since Silk was pretty good at handling corrupts himself.

When she found nothing, she turned to ask Alum what his thoughts were but was interrupted by a large shriek. The wild call sent chills down her spine and it was followed by Amphitrite's voice, quickly fading away from the house.

"It's time to regroup." She moved quickly, even though her long gowns would seem to trouble her to do so. Alum was moved down the stairs, following with Silk on her heels.

"Amphitrite? Niss?" She exited the house, looking around and seeing their figures down the path covered in fog or.....whatever.

"Silk, Shoulders." The corrupted bent down and opened her arms for the kitten, her head raising to Alum. "Follow them, Stay in the middle. Keep your eyes open. We have your back." She was a wolf after all, she would not let the small pack of their own be ambushed from the back, if nesscary.

Alum chooses to use Haumea and Alkaid's combined Energy Signature to guide their pathway back to the origin point.

Unable to pet the cat, Alum instead looked to the dolls, finding them curious, going so far as to pocketing one of the smaller ones in his sash. It's not like anyone was going to miss it. Plus, why not take a trinket? Memorabilia for time spent in the rift in a place that was old and funky but also really cool.

Coming out of the house to the shriek, he shuddered, looking to the elder and more powerful senshi present. Putting on a brave face, he nodded, feeling out for the other eternal who was leading their party and the ascendant general.
