The look on the senshi's face was unquestionably one of barely contained laughter. She nodded again. "Alright. That's fine...though, now I'm wondering what you do for fun. I mean, other than glaring daggers at the darkness and waiting for wraiths."

He continued not to stare at her as he could hear the mirth in her voice. Instead, he just shrugged. "What normal people do for fun." He offered, but knew that was a bold faced lie. He didn't know how to have much fun. Walking around. Playing with General his dog. Going out for pastries after his patrol at ungodly hours of the night and being one of the only not drunk or not high people there.
"What do you do?" He said, switching the conversation around, a tactic he knew worked well when he wasn't sure how to answer questions.

"Normal people, hmm?" she echoed, sounding a bit doubtful. "I see..." She shook her head ever so slightly, and chose to answer his question, "I've always been a fan of a quiet cup of tea while watching the world go by, or having a light battle of wits." That was a bit pretentious sounding, of course, but that was part of the fun. "And, as would surprise no one who sees me as a senshi, I enjoy a good swim. My family sails now and then, too."

"Battle of wits? You don't come off as much if a strategist to me or is that a fancy way of saying you like bored games?" He said dryly.
"I like training, walking, and that's about it. Visiting a bakery maybe." More than maybe. He liked patries and cookies. If it wasn't for training then he'd be softer in the midsection.

“Board games?” she echoed, an amused smile on her face. “Well, maybe sometimes. I’ve seen a couple of really detailed ones. But no, that’s not what I meant.” Hypatia shook her head at that. “Bakeries, huh?” she jumped on that immediately, deciding against explaining what sorts of wits she’d meant. “Do you bake, as well? Oh, maybe you moonlight as a fancy pastry maker.” She rubbed her chin, inspecting him critically before nodding, as if arriving at a decision. “Yeah, I could picture you carefully making a bunch of perfectly formed little sweets.”

He adjusted his Eye patch a bit. "I burn stuff if I try." And he had tried many times.
So much for her image of him, even if he liked little sweets.
"My moonlight is spent doing this.

“I dunno,” she responded evenly. “You seem like the sort that would consider this your main career, and whatever else you’re doing is just ‘moonlighting.’” A shrug. “Shame about those pastries. I sometimes like to sit at this little café, sipping tea and having some lovely little,” she put her fingers together, “Honestly, I don’t know what they’re called. But there is something to be said for just enjoying those things.”

"No comment." He said to her assessment as he crossed his arms.
The bakery did have his interest. "What's the name? Of the bakery."

Hypatia laughed lightly at the non-comment, but let it go with a nod and a knowing smile. “It’s really more of a coffee shop than a bakery,” she replied, “Caroline’s Café, it’s called.” She went on to give some general directions to the place. A fairly nice area of town (as a town as crazy as Destiny City could get, anyway), all told.

"Hmm." He said, noting the name and location.
"You should try Petite Cat on 22nd and E Western Ave. If you like those kinds of places." He said, deciding to offer up one of his locations he liked in exchange for the one she gave.
"It's not a cat cafe though." Since the name and the recent fad could be misleading.

"Just as well," Hypatia replied, nodding some. "Unless the cat can talk, I don't want it near my tea." A small smirk at that. Tea with a talking cat being something she'd done, of course. "I'll give it a try some time, thank you." A quick look around, eyes straying in the direction of the wayward youma especially, then she returned her gaze to Gev. "It has been a most...illuminating evening," she said in a sort of formal tone, with a small bow. Then her expression shifted to be less formal and so did her tone. "So thanks for that. Really. I'll be around if you have need of that for, you know, reasons that aren't self-inflicted!"

"Well, I get hurt because I look for a fight. So I guess you might want to change that rule." He said, and flashed the briefest of smiles before he went somber again.
"Have a good night." And he tilted his chin in a nod and turned to head back someplace safe to power down and head home.

"Okay," Hypatia replied and smirked. "Fair enough. Don't intentionally stab yourself in the future, then." She gave him a small wave. "Good night to you, too," she said, and then went off in a different direction to end her evening of most useful experimentation. MoonKitsune Fin! Thanks for playing. smile
