  Jjoann would shrug " she's good at holding grudges and she'd question where it would come from and know we were lieing" he explained. he would raise an eyebrow when she mentioned the Queen of Darkness gone " You haven't been around death city much have you?" he asked her "because...apparently despite the rumors of Death sending the queen of darkness to a...portal or something, the Queen of darkness still roams Death city, seemingly...more obedient than normal..but still roaming around" he told her "doubt your luck will remain that strong" he told her "we wanted to make sure the rumors were true...since it normally takes a week or so get these kinds of updates...but we went and saw she was still there" Jjoan explained "yea it was strange normally our informant is accurate, something must have happened and the order got delayed or something" " yea but the Rebels disappeared....which is strange because they went after the group she was supposed to lead there, because she was the main threat to stopping their final fight...meaning death outplayed them"

Jjoann loked at her "yea...thats what our informant told us....but again when we went to go confirm this bit of information...she was still there... which was strange because the rebels went after her...still weren't back....the other minions that death sent with her...still not back...just her" he explained before Zai would face her "and pray tell...why are you so interested in the queen of darkness if shes more obedient...didn't she try and kill you...most people would hope they just died...not care if they changed" her asked her "well...death was seemingly giving her orders when we found her...and when we followed her....using Zais senses to keep us out of hers....we noticed she was following the orders to the exact letter, normally she does things the way she wants but this time she was following orders as if she had a paper that told her every detail of hat to do...figuratively speaking...the letter being imaginary"

I've worked with her for quite a while and even she told me once, there's only one way she does things... hers... completely devoting herself to Lord Death would only be an act of weakness... which if I'm not mistaken, she still hates to this day. Sure she always ended up doing as told but not without her little spice into the formula... figuratively speaking. If She's being this... obedient. Either A, Death found a way to fully control her... which... I hope it's not the case... besides he's always been ... weird around Queen... or two. Which I'm more inclined to... That's not the Queen of Darkness...at least not the one we're used to."

Jjoann sighed Look...regardless of which one of those is the case...both mean bad results...because I'm sure you know how the title of Queen of Darkness is transferred...not even Death would dare tarnish that means of title if he has the Queen in his army...he's not dumb enough to lessen the fear that the queen of darkness carries...because for another Queen of darkness to exist...the new one would have to kill the current, and that would mean if that's not her...this ones far stronger and more obedient meaning less mistakes...and if he got full control....she wont be toying or holding back anymore...meaning less people for us to save...and more dangerous to be helping" he explained before Zai jumpped in "Im more inclined to the first one...because she held the same scent and soul of the one whom destroyed my home....thats the original...if its not then death knows how to make copies of people...which is impossible to my knowledge"

Raine remained serious for a moment, could such person exist? Sure Queen wasn't almighty to begin with but finding someone close to her skill cap was almost impossible, let alone surpass it. However Zai said she looked, smelled and her soul alone was the same.
"What have they done to you Queenie?"
Could it be really a way to control her? She knew Death was relentless and sometimes desperate but to achieve such thing... he must have literally lost his mind since that meant he would have to keep Queen near him to keep her under control... and if something ever happened to go south, he would find himself in a tight corner.
"...Is this also part of your plan?"
"So... whatever is the case that would be... what could we possibly do?"

Jjoann took some bites of his food "We do nothing different" he stated bluntly " We don't get involved with Death's war path nor the rebels...rather we do what we can to save those whom have had their lives destroyed and need a place and allies...So we won't be going to death city uless we have to save someone....we can't risk putting this place is danger to go fight Death or his minions....MAny of us want to go and kill them...but we know if we do....this place will be exposed...and we cant risk the lives here that dont want to fight" he explained. "we've come to terms with this....the hard way is the only way we can do things here" " especially if i get found out as a kitsune...if Death learns my species wasn't extinct...he will start turning stones to find me or any whom may have survived, and if that does happen...i've come to terms with leaving for the safety of those here"

Zai commented how he had come in terms of even giving himself up to keep this place safe.

I'm pretty sure if they found you out they would still come to this place... you know, to make sure you were the last of them... come to think of it.. no one ever explained to me what does Death has against kitsunes... I mean isn't the Queen of darkness one? Unless there's something Kitsune related that he wishes to be taken out of the field... like some unexploited weakness."

King of Relms Jjoann looked at Raine " i believe your missing the point of where your at, This is a safe haven...not a bunker or a place to train up fighters...a place where scared and frightened individuals whom lost everything thanks to Death come to get a sense of normality back in their lives...most of them have PTSD...and some never leave their rooms because they are that scared of whats outside the door" he explained "only a few of us take the risk to leave this place to find those in need...and none of us have any sort of training to fight outside our old lives...yes we have a training ground but only few use it" he explained "even if death were to take over the world, we would make sure this place is sealed from him, the path you took to get here is the only way here, and is a maze to find oneself through it unless you have that coin, and theirs only 3 of them, which off the topic i took it back from you when you were sleeping...because we still need to keep them available" he explained and admitted. "and even if we are confined to this place, if you take a look outside while your hear...its like a whole new world to explore" he finished before Zai spoke up "if death does learn of me, I'll show myself to the world elsewhere, so that this place wont be considered, there are some death followers whom go by rumors to find the place, but Yin often takes care of them, she usually erases their memories...most of the people in town are former death followers, theres an old man whom comes up every so often, brings them down and shows them how to be normal again" he explained. "and we don't know what he has against kitsunes...perhaps their leaders denied him something" Jjoann stated jumping back in. "but back to the previous statement...no one is trapped here, anyone can leave when they want...most just want to stay...we just ask that when you use the coins you give them to yin when you leave...and to not spread rumors of where we are at"

As JJoan and Zai continued improving on the subject regarding this place's purpose, Raine couldn't help but feel they were a little misguided, however she would give JJoan the benefit of doubt given this place seemed to be something else to an ordinary shelter.
"A world of it's own eh?"
The brunette continued on her breakfast saying no more until she finished, taking time to rest while looking at JJoan and Zai from time to time.

Jjoan rose an eyebrow " he tells people to not go up the mountain?" Jjoan stated looking at Zai "much more helpful than i thought" he stated chuckling before he finished his food, Zai would finish too, afterawhile Jooan would pick ll their plates up "well, WE have things we need to do...I've been skipping my studies for to many days so i have to go do that..." Jjoancalled out before he looked at Raine "The place if free to roam...free to explore, a few places you can go...but um...be careful if you enter some of the bedrooms...there might be some folks whom frighten easily or have extreme PTSD so be careful and slow if you enter them" he told her "cya around" he stated as he was off, when she would look to see if Zai would leave she'd notice he was already gone.  You can now explore the various places in this pocket dimension, every place will hold a person to converse with, and overtime the characters will rotate in where they are found

Before she realized, she was all by herself.

She could have sworn Zai was still there.
"Man my senses have gone really dull with these last months..."
Without training or even the need to fight, the poor death scythe could feel her skills rusting. she needed to fix that, but the only person that could put up a challenge to her wasn't exactly in a position to jump in here. Heck everyone in the room would probably try to hang her if she even suggested such a thing.
in the meantime, she would have to get used to this new world. Sanding up she went towards the library.

] As raine traveled through the place she would stumble to the library which was a big room with seemingly infinite books or at least it seemed like it. she would find a familiar face sitting in a chair reading a book, seemingly mumbling to himself, much like he was reading verses to some sort of poem or spell. hearing the doors close Jjoan would look up to see Raine finding her way to where he was "see you found the library..." he stated looking down at the book " everything here is free to read...though some of them may seem to be unable to open, the owners of the books prefer them that way, but if you can open it, you can read it without worrying about if your allowed to or not" he explained "Since i brought most of them here, They should mostly be open for you to read" he would explain as he looked back up to her "Ah and one more thing, most of the books are for witches/sorcerers/mages/etc, but there are some novels and elsewhat" he added giving a small chuckle. You can now explore the various places in this pocket dimension, every place will hold a person to converse with, and overtime the characters will rotate in where they are found

Sitting by his side, she would pick one of the books and take a look at their contents... something about formulas. On the meantime JJoan was explaining how this library seemed to work.
"Really now? Do they have like journals or something like that? why else the wouldn't want me to check 'em up... they could always put it in a safe or lock them anyways."

"Because some of these books act like memories" he explained " i don't exactly understand how it works but sometimes when your here, a new book appears...with your name on it...with a...i guess in a autobiography...or how ever you call a biography written by oneself..." he stated "and well sometimes people rather not share there past...So the books lock themselves with magic, I wish i understood how it worked...but i guess its one way to preserve peoples lives...and a way to relive the past life you lost" he explained.
