With no ping pong ball in a bowl, and no fish won, Xi-Wang decided to pay for more ping pong balls in order to try and win a goldfish again. While he wanted the koi more, because they were prettier to look at, he would be happy with a goldfish or two...he just needed to win them first.
More ping pong balls in hand the dark haired male tried to overhand toss them carefully. Going up on tip toe and tossing gently from high up he hoped to aim for them to drop right into a bowl...or two...maybe three if he was lucky - though he doubted his luck.

She hated these fish, she hated them so much...not really, the little guys didn't do anything. If anything, she hated not winning one.

Kelly picked up 3 more and gave a toss. One plunked itself right in a bowl and thus Kelly got his first goldfish. "here nadia, I don't think I would actually do anything with this lil guy."

Stump_Fairy Stump_Fairy Stump_Fairy "Hiya!" Evren yelled on her turn as she threw the ping pong balls. Only to give a sigh of defeat when none of them entered in any fish bowls. Puckering her lips as it seems she wasn't freeing any fish this round. "Yah!" The sounds Evren made were way to over dramatic as she just threw all the balls at once instead of one at a time like a normal person. This time she was lucky enough to get one into one of the bowls. She smiled as she was handed a goldfish. Evren stared blankly. "Unfortunately, Sir Buttonwood one of you does not a rescue mission make... I must win more so we may release you a proper tank because it's not a good idea to just randomly throw fish into a river." Evren threw all the balls and none of them went into any. Letting out a breath of air her bangs. Holding the goldfish closer to her chest she squinted. "We're going to win another friend Sir Buttonwood... or go broke trying." It seemed Evren was determined to go through with operation save the fish and put them in a bigger tank. Evren once again threw the balls into the bowls. And this time she managed to get another ball in one of the bowls. With a smile, she took the goldfish handed to her. "Alright with Sir Buttonwood and Lady Evalyn and together we shall collect even more fish!" Yes, she was just beginning on her crusade to free these fish.

It was pretty silly, really, to keep spending so much time on winning fish she could just buy at a pet store. But now, committed, Di couldn't back down. Even as her tosses continued to be lacking. Misses, bounces... A whole lot of nothing.
Besides one. Di nearly missed out on seeing a ball land, with how quickfire she was playing. Now she had two fish. Two whole fish! But what about...more?

This was... Frustrating, in the least. No fish were in her hands yet; no golden lovelies to bring home, and Kestrel was rather displeased by herself. These goldfish needed rescued, and she didn't want to give up and give in -- and so the woman paid another dollar, taking a deep breath before making another toss.
"Come on, for pity's sake," she growled. "Do it for them!"

Ok, so tossing ping pong balls was harder than it looked. They bounced off the bowl rims and landed between bowls. Not a single one thus far had landed inside a bowl. Hugging, and pouting some more, Xi-Wang went and bought some more ping pong balls so he could try again. He really hoped he could get a koi...and not spend too much. He really wanted to win something though...something for himself. It was a sort of self satisfaction thing for him...
With more ping pong balls, and determination, he was able to toss the balls in and sink two of them. Not one but two!!!

He was just starting to wonder if this might have been a pointless endeavor when he did it, quite by accident: a ball managed to get into the socket, and he was presented a goldfish before he knew it. Brendan didn't know how to feel about it, but he also wasn't sure what to do with a single fish...
After all, a dog didn't seem able to live at Gwen's place. Granted, a dog was a lot more work than a simple fish, but even still Brendan didn't want to just swipe a living thing as a souvenir and not let it live at least a decent life. Although the koi did certainly look like a nice enough prize if he got enough wins that day...But where would he put it? What did you do with a fish anyway?
