Danaë would giggle. That was so like Narx, thinking that she wouldn't be patient with him. She truly loved him, and wanted to talk about what happened when he disappeared, but a cloud seemed to be over his head the entire time. She would support him through anything, and murder anyone who tried to hurt him, emotionally or physically. Whomever he got into that fight with, she was slit in their sleep. Her face still looked playful on the outside. "I'm fine with him being on the team, as long as he doesn't try to harm us." He then asked which class they were in. "We are in Survival, dear." She was going to touch his face, but then he went on the ground, playing dead from hunger. She would giggle again.
Then Tessa would appear. That b***h. A brief moment of anger flashed on Danaë. She wanted answers, however, she didn't think she would even get them, not with how she disregarded her. Danaë was nothing be nice, and polite to her, even to the point of letting Tessa touch her all those times without permission. Not that Danaë could fight that. Agile as she was, she wasn't strong enough to fight the Rhino faunus. She would take a deep breathe, clearing the look of hatred from her face.
She would then smile at Richard as he appeared and put his lance into the ground. "Well, it's a combat day, so we can learn to work together with our new teammate. Ho-oh!" She had barely gotten information on the man that was supposed to be joining them. Their team dynamic changed with Tessa gone. Danaë was still the assassin of the group. Narx was both a tank and a healer, and Richard could do much of the same thing. What Chase could do? She had no clue.
Then she saw Tessa Manhandling a woman with beautiful wings. Again?! It was the same thing that happened on DVNT. She was about to say something, when a man in a trench coat would walk up to her and Narx. He was looking down the entire time, before he looked up and waved at them. She would tilt her head at him. He seemed to avoid eye contact with her. "Are you trying to say you are Chase? If so, Hi, I'm Danaë Hallþóra Svéd, Leader of team Sinners." There would be a smile on her face, as she hid her curiosity. "I'm sure it'll be a hoot of a time with you on the team!" She would giggle a bit at her bad pun.
Then two humans would approach Danaë and Narx. She would look at them with confusion. They seemed to know Narx, but she didn't know them at all. She was entirely confused. She would gently take his hand and shake it. He would feel the softness of the feathers on the back of her hand as they shook them. "I'm Danaë. Nice to meet you?" Her voice had confusion in it. She was extremely confused by the conversation that was happening. "Nice to meet you as well?" How did this woman know Narx? Had she caused him pain, did she need to hurt this woman? She looked to Narx for confirmation on what needed to be done.

Azura Knight
Speak of the devil, and they shall appear. Azura couldn't help but think she was being punished as Tessa stomped into the arena looking grumpier than normal. The smell of food filled the room as the giant made her way over to Narx and dropped a package on his head. Well, perhaps Tessa would manage to stop Narx's wailing about being hungry, she reflected. Cecil squeezed her hand, pulling her attention back to him and away from the shenanigans of team DVNT. She smiled faintly and nodded. "I just wish they took this more seriously." It was hard to believe Narx, who was often sleeping in class or complaining about being hungry might one day be a huntsman charged with fighting back Grimm and saving civilization. "We'll have to learn to fight a Nevermore one day, but it is a bit soon." Azura agreed with Cecil's assessment on the Grimm they would be facing today. "Though I think that might be a Lance." She indicated to the tall box making a distinct buzzing sound. "and that might be a King Taijutu." She pointed to the largest of the containers. Based on her studies it seemed most likely. Then he brought it up the topic she had been avoiding speaking about. His fight with Tessa. As much as she hated the idea, Cecil had given his word so she wouldn't try to talk him out of it. "Best to get it over with I suppose."
Before more could be said about it Koryn gave one of the boxes the hardest knock yet, drawing Azura's attention once more, as the couple stopped just behind Adam and Ridley. Sasselia seemed to be trying to convince the butterfly to stop knocking on the boxes, while Tessa walked over and started handing out food. Apparently, she was no longer on team DVNT. Azura could only hope Koryn would listen about not hitting the boxes. It was all too late though, as the horrible sound of nails on metal echoed throughout the room. Azura pulled her hand out of Cecil's then and pulled out her scythe, ready for the creature to break free. The box toppled over, and Azura shifted the weapon into sniper mode. It wasn't as effective at this close of range, but with all of the students around, she couldn't swing her scythe. Much to her relief the box didn't break...yet. Normally Azura would have been opposed to manhandling someone, but given the current circumstance, she thought Tessa's actions might be for the best by pulling Koryn away, if a bit roughly. "Well... no time like the present to set up your match." It seemed like the container would hold, though Azura didn't put her weapon away just yet. She did hope the professor would arrive soon and start the lesson.
Cecil watched as Adam introduced himself over and over again to new people and old. It was an interesting sight to say the least as he chuckled at the sight of Adams interactions with the butterfly and her friend before he and Ridley finally made note of their presence. He waved at them, that was until he heard the roars and attacks the cage from the inside, it's agitation being made by Koryn and her other female as he placed his hand upon the handle of his Reiterpallasch for half a second before he calmed down.
Then he heard the rhino speak about having a big kill radius as he glared towards her. Weapons that made a big boom weren't that helpful at all unless no one else was around. He heard Azura's soft words and nodded his head as he said, "Maybe one day they will... Even if that day comes in the afterlife " Cecil told her calmly before he heard the rest of her words about the nevermore and then finally .. the time to set up the match. He nodded his head once more before he walked over to Tessa as she seemed distracted. With a deep breath in he stated, "Hey! Tessa!" He yelled to get her attention. And while she did tower over him, his eyes had that spark of determination and anger as they did back in their previous class together. "You, me... I'll uphold my promise to fight you at the end of class today." He told her calmly and with that, he walked away to rejoin Azura, just like how Tessa did to him but without the lifting up of people

Richard Vin Malsule A Lancer of PrideX Semblance: Inactive
Richard had been distracted with the thought of what lied ahead for class, that he wasn't nearly paying that much attention to his surroundings. However it was when a loud banging from other one of the cages would break his little daydreaming. Looking over to it, his eyes would catch the antics of a certain butterfly faunus. Koryn was happily prodding the cage ignoring all sense of danger and personal space for what ever lied in side. That kind of approached would of gotten her killed in a non controlled environment... she was lucky this time. Though her carefree nature was kind of charming, it made the blue haired boy a bit giddy in a sense. However this mood quickly changed when Tessa intervened. The way she forcefully grabbed the girl and pulled her away from the cage kinda ticked him off a bit. Not only was there a bit of resentment from when the rhino faunus chose to leave the team, but now the way she acted on his new butterfly friend...that wasn't going to really fly well. His gripped tightened on his lance wanting to shove it straight into the hulking girl. Without really thinking it through he started to approach the group. Only on approach he heard the last portion of what Tessa said, about getting Koryn killed if she fired a shot. It appeared that he wasn't the only one to really come forward to the albino either. Hearing Sasselia kinda trying to calm the situation in her own words. Being the team leader in all, it did make sense for the girl to intervene. Just being soft spoken probably wasn't going to do any good.
"Maybe mention about how to deal with people too could help." Richard would interject as he came up besides the blue haired girl. He gave a small little nod and smile towards Sasselia before turning back to the rhino faunus. His eyes narrowed a bit at the at her clearly brimming with a bit of anger. Though he wasn't going to do anything drastic as he held some control over it. His attention shifted down to the food that was brought for their team. That was one thing that he would miss honestly, the hot tasty meals that Tessa prepared. Yet he put off the thought as he looked to Koryn. "I kinda just wanted to give you all some good luck for today. So I hope you all do you're best. " He encouraged with a smile. This statement was meant for Eira as well, even if she had just arrived. Putting his lance over his shoulder he would start to strive back over to his team. Just as he did another person would head towards the rhino, Cecil from team Dark. Richard would over hear the part about fighting after class with the big girl. A smirk would curl over the boy's lips as he was rooting for brown haired boy if the brawl were to occur.
As Richard was getting back to his team's side, apparently more people have joined them. A girl with long black hair or two of them, a dark skinned fellow, an a guy a matching raggity hat and mask. Plus there was a dog among them, who looked like a good old hunting dog. He arrived just in time to hear Danae introduce herself to the dark dressed individual. Was this the new guy they were supposed to be getting? The new guy had a dog too? It was definitely going to be a new experience for sure. He didn't have a lot of experience with animals before. At the orphanage, there wasn't a lot of pets. Well at least Richard didn't have to take care of any. Only for a week did he help take care of a goat, but those were memories for another day. For now he paid attention to the masked guy. "I'm Richard by the way. Richard Vin Malsule. " He would introduce himself to not only the new comer but to everyone present. Most of these people he didn't really know first handedly. In fact he hardly knew anyone...it was something he was working on.
The events of the Ball had still rung true with the crusader. Yenna had managed to get a fresh dress from Cali and had a wonderful night of having fun and enjoying her time just mulling around. Sure she was a bit vertically challenged but she just had a late puberty! That's what all of her kind had, of course. Her mother probably had it like her. Her peaceful slumber was ruined by the alert of her scroll going off and a display that class was starting in around 10 minutes. Like the true crusader that Yenna was, she bolted up to get dressed, brush her teeth, comb her hair and ears, get breakfast and then chomp down on toast in her mouth as she ran into the arena just as the gates were quick to close behind her and her team.
The teacher gave simple instructions. Don't touch this, wait for what was next. Pretty simple things. Yenna remained by the fancy dressed Nox, the smaller team mate giving the snake faunus a great smile. "Thy look as beautiful as a goddess, Lady Nox." She said her her ye olde voice as always. Eli commented about the teacher being pretty scary when it came to teaching her classes. Looking back at each of her team mates with concern, Yenna raised her fist. "Have not fear in thy hearts, comrades! We shall prevail through anything!"
As Koryn was hovering around the covered crate, she still remained as curious as ever. She was then approached by another female who introduced herself as Ridley, Koryn gasped, evident excitement in her tone as she glared at Ridley - probably for a little too long. "You are absolutely beautiful!" she said, such excitement in her tone. "How did you get such a pretty face, you are just like my cute Eira!" Koryn added, as she wanted to play with Ridley's face so bad, she remembered what she had been told. "Nope, you are larger than a four year old.. too bad!" she said, as she turned and fluttered off again to the crate, still so curious as to what was inside. Koryn had a good way of confusing people, it could almost be classed as an unknown skill of hers.
Koryn then watched Sasselia as she spoke, her head tilted a little as she attempted to take in and understand what she was trying to tell her. She could feel eyes on her from around the entire courtyard and figured that it may not have been for the best reasons, so nodded in agreement "Ok, I'll stop-" she said as her attention was then averted to Tessa, the large member of their team. She was still trying to think of a name when the Rhino told her not to, and Koryn pursed her lips a little as she was starting to become a little agitated at others telling her not to do something... where was Eira when she needed her.
As Tessa approached Koryn, she attempted to lift her up by her clothing - although the only clothing Koryn wore was bare minimum, pretty much less than a bra was on her top and it would have easily popped off if she had picked it up. Koryn was lifted up into the sky by the bra to the point it snapped and plonked down beside some food, however as she was placed down the bra started to come off and just as the top half of her body was about to be revealed to the class her entire body disappeared into cloud - poof!
Richard had joined the group and watched the whole situation, little did they all know Koryn had used her semblance and created an illusion just as Tessa went to collect her - she was a warrior after all, she didn't get caught of guard that easily. All of a sudden, from behind Richard appeared the butterfly, "BOO! You thought you could get me that easily!?" she yelled, as she then hugged Richard from behind, again, most likely a little too tightly. "My Richie! How are you today?" she yelled, remaining in the hug again for too long. "Oh, are we close enough to do this? Don't tell my cute Eira if not!" she asked him, letting go.
Koryn smiled brightly at everyone around her, placing her hands on her hips as she winked. "HA! You all thought you were going to see my bubbies?! - think again!" she yelled, as she then checked to make sure her bra was in one piece. Looking back at Richard she smiled, "All in tact!" she said, before hearing the voice she had been waiting for all morning. "MY CUTE EIRA!!" she yelled, as she attempted to grab Richard by the hand and bring him over to her. "My cute Eira, how are you today? You look even cuter than you did yesterday!" she said. Koryn had told Eira every single day so far that she looked cuter than the day before, she just adored her teammate and wanted everyone to know who deserved it how lovely they were.

Cali's concern about fighting was a valid one. Likely the crumbling uniform worn over the deep blue of that special suit of her would be destroyed completely before class ever really started. The suit did its job in being sure she never ended up completely nude in public, but it didn't do much else than that. It was form fitting, no better than wearing a bodysuit made from spandex. It didn't leave much to the imagination. It wasn't as if he could deny that fact, but he wasn't going to just stand by and let her stress about it either. It seemed Nox wasn't going to either, to which as always, Eli tossed her a thankful smile before chiming in himself. "Exactlt! Just don't think about that."He would nod in agreement, but he k ew that was easier said than done. Especially with Cali. Anxiety was a fickle thing, a persistent thing. Once something managed to work it's way in, it was not an easy battle to wriggle it back out. He had spent years around the girl and thus knew just how it worked. One thing would spread into another, and that into something else, and before long she was a nervous wreck. "Besides, you remember what I told you that first day, right?" He would question, raising a dark brow at the girl. He would wait a moment to give the girl a chance to respond, unable to fight that very Wli smirk that was playing out on his lips. "If anyone stares for too long, I'll just kick their butts. Or... perhaps give them a blindfold of webs." As he spoke the grin would only spread before he finally let out a soft laugh. An amusing sight it was, Eli slinging a string of webs across someone eyes to keep them from staring at his precious Cali and her suit of blue. It was an undeniable fact though, that he would go to any lengths to ensure ali's comfort as well as her safety. Playful grin would turn sly as he slowly leaned towards her once more, whispering low I to her ear to keep the conversation between them. "I'm the only pervert who gets to enjoy that sight." With a quick wink he would hurriedly straighten up, likely to avoid getting a nice backhand across the face. Still, as much as he teased the boy really was a gentleman. Considering Cali's semblance, privacy wasn't always a luxury they had. Eli had surely seen more if Cali than she ever would have liked, but he was always polite. Never staring too long, closing his eyes when he could.
The spider's comment got just the reaction he had been expecting. Not only that, but the one he had been hoping for. A very flustered, rosy cheeked Cali. As she glared up at him, he grinned down at her, looking falsely innocent. Charming as he may be, it was obvious he knew just what buttons he was pushing and he was doing it very much so on purpose. He knew exactly how to get Cali riled up, it never failed and he never relented. It just meant he would have something big in store, later, when he was least expecting it. Making a mental note to stay alert, he continued forward with her hand in hand. As angry as she seemed, it was impossible for her to hide her smile completely. Not to mention, the hooeful look in her eyes was so easily discernable. It seemed she was hoping for another kiss just as much as he was. His plan had been successful. The nervous girl that he had been dragging so reluctantly along suddenly had a certain pep to her step. No longer did her steps slow every few feet as she tried to make the walk to class last as long as possible. The second half of their journey went significantly faster than the first. One might wonder what exactly Eli had whispered so mischievously into her ear.
As they arrived in the arena, Eli then smirked down at Cali's comment. Reaching down he would ruffle the girl's hair he would let loose a soft chuckle. "Exactly. Think on the brightside, Cali. With the destruction she causes I highly doubt she'd be upset if you break anything. Actually, I think she'd be impressed that you managed it with a simple touch." Looking around the classroom, he didn't see any signs of the teacher hidded among the large containment crates. Supposedly she was fairly large herself, so if she were here it was likely she wouldn't have been very difficult to spot. "Fashionably late I suppose." He would say to Cali, giving the girl's hand another squeeze before turning his attention to Nox who had chosen to chime in. "I wouldn't worry too much, Cap. Unorthodox perhaps, but she's still a teacher after all."Surely she had some sort of precautions in place and if she didn't, well certainly the school would. Surely they knew of this teacher's recklessness and put in some safeguards just.in case. That seemed the logical thing to do after all, but he had not been a part of her last class where two students had fallen to the grim. He had heard the rumors, but that was the extent of his knowledge. "Besides, if all else fails, Team DECO will just have to kick butt." With the statement would come a rather cocky grin from Eli. It wasn't long after his comment that their little crusader friend would join their company. "See, our little rabbit friend has it right!" He would nod, almost excited with the rabbit's own enthusiasm. "Its good to see you, Yenna. I was growing worried that we would have to go pull you from the cafeteria." The jest was light and playful, referring back to their first meeting with Yenna before all chaos had broken loose. It wild be followed with a teasing smirk before he returned his attention back to the girl at his side.
Noticing the pair that Cali had locked her gaze on, he would give a solemn nod ad he pulled her closer into his side. He didn't even know their names, but he reme.bered all to vividly the gruesome seen that had played out in front of the classroom as the feathered girl had fallen from the sky only to bash her head against one of the desks. A small shudder would run up his soon at the image, but he would shake it away quickly. " She seems to be doing okay now though." Apart from a rather nasty scar drawn across her.face, one would have never guess shes had taken such a nasty fall. There seemed to be a few other familiar faces in the room from their previous class. Cali and Eli had been too absorbed with each other to have introduced themselves to them, but that would not be a task for today either. After all, their last class they had been able to hide at the back just the two of them. Not only were their no desks to hide behind and likely a vastly different lesson plan, they would be working with their team today. As much as she had warmed up to them, he knew it still made her nervous. He was always there to push her forward, to force her out of her shell, but it was best to tackle one item if business at a time. Baby steps, that was always the best route with Cali. Plush her he may, but it was with a gentle and know hand.

XXX... It was a normal concept to have Eli constantly reassuring her own negative thoughts and self-doubts, but that coming from Nox still surprised her. They had been apart of team DECO for nearly a month now, though it surely didn't feel like that short of time. With all the stress and anxiety from facing a new challenge each day, time went by at a snail's pace. It was only during the moments of excitement or wonder that would all vanish in a moment, as time itself as far too cruel. Surprised sandy hues would look back at the sound of Nox's voice trying to reassure her, only to note the pink tint of her cheeks as well. 'Your words are one thing, but your body says another...' .. Maybe she should've been more careful with her words. Eli was well off enough on his own to know how to dismiss her negative thoughts that she hid behind, but both Nox and Yenna still had to learn.
.. What exactly did he say on the first day? There were countless things said and promised just to get her out the door. Their first day of school itself was a rollercoaster that seemed like it would never end. The endless battle to actually get her to step into the classroom with him. Numerous students pushing themselves far too hard with their semblances only to experience backlash. It was Eli and herself training their semblances that day which redefined her world as a whole... For a single moment in her life, nothing crumbled away against her skin. Even only for the briefest of seconds, she was able to feel Eli's coarse skin against her own. To graze her fingertips delicately against his cheek without crackling his skin, to feel the warmth of his cupped palm against her own. The feeling of such chapped yet tender lips against her own soft plumps, remembering the faint taste of mint that lingered against her lips for hours after. That sense of contact that was far too overwhelming of stimulant for her, running through her mind every moment that followed in their closeness. ... With such a derailed train of thought, what was she even trying to remember? ... Right. "You... Said they'd be enthralled or jealous.. I don't think that's the answer you wanted." It was a tease she remembered so intently. His frequent antics often burned to memory, for better or worse. Clearly that wasn't the right answer, as he followed with his own statement. One that turned her anxious frown into the cutest little smile as she nodded, brightening up for but a moment before snapping her free fingers. "You'll zap them in a snap?" She was so proud of her cute little pun, snapping for emphasis. Though, such pride would be so shortlived as his face came closer to hers once again. It was that grin that said it all, that she was going to regret letting him get so close. "I-I... wha... Eli!!!" What were merely faint hues of pink before would escalate. Her face as a whole was now a deep scarlet, steam practically fuming out of her ears before repeatedly but weakly hitting a balled fist against his shoulder. "D-don't s-s-say st-stuff like th-that! Nox is-is right there!!"
A class where she would be rewarded for decaying everything she touched? Why hadn't she been a part of such a lesson long before? Perhaps she might've even passed with flying colors. Her head would lower as the spider boy ruffled her sandy locks, all while a small smile curled against her cheeks. Perhaps he was right, maybe all would go well in this class... An environment where her natural ability may have held no risk, perhaps to be rewarded. Brown hues would gaze up at to him once again, feeling his hand squeeze hers. Fingertips would tighten around his own, giving him a long and steady squeeze. Even with the reassurance, she couldn't fight the feeling that something was amiss... Perhaps it was the thought of actually having to fight against grimm today, something the two hadn't actually had a chance to do before. ... Well, except for one moment in their very distant past... The moment a beowolf threatened to take him away from her only a few mere moments after he managed to save her life. What if that's what they were fighting today? A Beowolf? Would the two of them even be able to stand against such a creature, or would they shrink at the sight? Would she fall into her anxious bubble and be consumed by fear, by dread... Reminded of a night that happened so long ago, but still burned so painfully in her memory.
In the midst of thoughts that spiraled so rapidly out of control, she wouldn't even notice the arrival of their rabbit friend. Lost in the black abyss of her own mind while dreading the memories of their past. It was the harsh voice of their tiny crusader that would snap her back to reality, startling her nearly right out of her skin. Cali's hand clenched even tighter as her tiny frame defensively tucked against his own. Nothing against Yenna, of course. The girl was just in a very dark place, only to be brought back to reality so suddenly. A flash back to reality that would lead to her sending a hesitant wave towards Yenna as a greeting. Sandy orbs would begin to dart back and forth between her teammates. Eli and Yenna, in particular, voicing their capability to conquer all, a powerful optimism that could very well move mountains. Fingers would lightly dance against the back of Eli's hand. Not so much as her anxious twitch, but something to do with the palm against her own. Cali would do her best to smile at Eli's own jester-like antics, but her sandy gaze would fall to Nox. Their leader had said something, but she couldn't quite catch it. Though a sense of uncertainty, Cali could tell by the expression of her face that something had displeased her. "W..what's wrong, Nox..? Dust..?" She was certain that was a word she heard. Perhaps it was relevant to her semblance, but it also acted as a reminder that their already scarce dust supplies had grown even more limited.
Her gaze at first was a somber one. Reflecting sad and worry as she recalled the terrible accident that happened to the feathered faunus off in the distance. To think such a gruesome scene only resulted in a scar planted firmly on her forehead and nothing more, from what they could see here. From a distance, it looked as if she was smiling and enjoying herself with the man with a patched eye. Something that worked in turn with Eli's words to begin easing her worry. "I'm relieved.. To think all that happened in a study class.." Her words were soft, plagued with a sense of uncertainty. If such horrific accidents such as that and the snake venom, who knew what could happen in a combat oriented class? Rumors had it that in the last session that this woman taught, two students had died when a pack of grimm raided the class. ... That, however, was in the outskirts. The fact that they had changed the location to someplace controlled, though still spacious, showed that they were at the very least making an effort to prevent history from repeating itself. Perhaps everything would be fine... A class to test their skill, nothing more. ... A thought that ran through her mind until the moment she heard a most intense roar erupt from the far side of the arena. Sandy orbs would widen in terror at the sound as her delicate frame instantly clung to Eli with both arms ever so tightly. "I..I've never heard a grimm... make a sound like that..." Even in their students of numerous grimm such as beowolves, ursai, even griffons... Never before had she heard of a grimm making such a primal sound. Perhaps it was just different in person. It couldn't have been as bad as she was expecting, right....?

XXXThe kiddos were having a good time, all things considered. Teams were reunited within the walls of the arena and began talking up a storm as they met with one another. Curious questions were asked about the teacher as well as the intentions of the class itself, but there was one thing that couldn't be missed. The cages that contained beasts within them. It had been reckless to leave so many students to their own devices while the arena itself was harboring such dangerous beasts, more so than any of them realised. The purpose of this survival class was a step in a different direction from prior. While before Rachel was trying to emphasize the stress of survival in a situation one wasn't equipped for, it had backfired due to a lack of overall experience in the field. Something that Rachel was intending to change today by exposing the students once and for all to the threat of grimm. However, these weren't your run of the mill grimm that huntsmen often took down in hordes at a time. Even now, there were students out on missions fighting for their lives against a mass quantity of grimm from that caliber. While any basic huntsmen with enough training and luck could take down a wolf or two, perhaps even a bear, students were rarely exposed to a threat that was more than numbers. It was today that these students would encounter the true thriving force among the grimm. Grimm that she fought tooth and nail with the aid of other huntsmen to bring here today to test the metal of these students. The ones that left unkept, would surely be the demise of any trained huntsmen. While it was indeed a controlled environment, the threat would be very real. Such a threat would shriek from the sky above as the presence of a beast so mighty would make itself known. It was a sound that rippled through the air, that could surely be felt in the core of each student; even the grimm within the cages. For that moment only, each of the contained grimm would fall eerily silent.
After all, some grimm were far too big to be locked in a cage.
It was in the skies above that a creature so large and mighty, its very presence blocked out the sun. The arena itself was enveloped in a shadow so massive, one might've thought the time of day changed in the blink of an eye. If the students were to look above, they would notice the shadow shift and jerk. A creature so mighty had its attention averted, a reckless huntswoman that was determined to bring this divine beast into battle. Next to the giant bird so high in the sky was a much smaller creature, one of four legs that flew so erratically in the skies above. It dashed and weaved around the grand nevermore with a teeth laced chain wrapped firmly around its neck. In the skies above, the woman known as a goliath would be riding atop of a griffon. The grand avian would let out another soul trembling screech as it reared its mass upright. It was there that talons far bigger than most swords themselves would glint in the sunlight as it made a grand sweeping slash towards the huntress who tailgated the griffon. Deep crimson hair was flailing in the breeze from the high wind velocity as the griffon flexed its wings for a sharp turn above the nevermore, following the jerk of the razor-sharp chain that tore deep into is obsidian flesh. By some means of expert piloting or luck that seemed so close to running out, the four-legged avian would narrowly weave between the legs of the creature. It was there that the two would gain altitude, rising high above the nevermore itself. One may beg to question though, why was the griffon flying alone? A creature that often flew in packs of similar species, yet now it was on its own being used as transporation against a beast far greater than itself. Well, it was simple, many of those griffon were not nearly as agile in their escape. Whereas, Rachel was... At least, by sacrificing them in the process. None will know the true effort that Rachel went through to gather all these grimm here today, especially this one that she soared above.
"Alright you chicken s**t, this is our stop!"
That's it, her ride was over. They were finally here! In a flex of strength, she'd jerk the razored edge of the anchor's chain as it ripped so cleanly through the griffon's neck. The severed head of the creature would fall several dozen feet before fading to dust, as all grimm did. From there she'd kick off the crumbling corpse of the slain grimm with her anchor in hand only throw her form into the air above the nevermore. Bright burning eyes of yellow and crimson stared up at her, opening its beak wide as another screech erupted from the great avian. With her arms spread wide, Rachel couldn't help but form a wide teeth riddled grin at the beast. "My name is Rachel, and this is Remnant's Jackass!" Bringing her arms in too narrow her frame, the woman began a dive bomb directly towards the Nevermore's grand open maw. Cyan eyes burned so brightly in her rush of adrenaline, her razor teeth dazzling as she grinned in excitement. Just as her frame was about to fall into the dark abyss that was the great bird's maw, she'd aim her free hand forward to fire a set of teeth from her vambrace. The impact would embed teeth into its beak and cause it to veer off course just enough for the climax. Passing by the deterred maw she'd throw her arm with her mighter bladed anchor to catch corners of its beak as a hook.
As the anchor hooked the corners of the great nevermore's maw, it was the sudden jerk that would cause the bird's neck to snap downwards. By no means was it enough force to snap the avian's neck, but push it to fall victim of gravity. She held a firm grasp on the chain with fingers so attentively placed between the teeth with the momentum of the fall. Utilizing her momentum, she'd full on Tarzan swing beneath the Nevermore's beak, bounding up and around the maw to not so gracefully crash and cling atop its head. "Alright ya f**ker, if I'm goin' down, I'm takin' your bird brain with me!" Following her spiteful words, she'd rip one of her hands free from the chain; though not without cutting herself. At the smell of even her own blood, cyan eyes would flicker to a deep crimson as the scent of blood triggered her semblance. Eyes growing wide, saliva began to dribble at her now devilishly wide smirk as she grabbed a hand full of deeply rooted feathers atop the avian's head. Firmly planted, she'd give the razor chain a powerful jerk to pull that snapping maw shut on her own anchor. "Better hope they got that memo 'bout the barrier, or there's gonna be a big black and red splatter with our names on it!" With the chain in hand, she'd give another mighty jerk before striking against the bird's skull again. Even if it was only for a brief moment, the grand avian's eyes would dull and give in to gravity. By no means was Rachel strong enough to kill this thing, but she could try and manhandle the creature for a strong second with her semblance active!
With gravity taking its course, the behemoth of a bird and the goliath of a rider atop of it would come tumbling down towards earth. It was only moments after passing the open roof that the burning yellow orbs would spring to life again. Wings would begin to flap sporadically to regain composure in the air once again while thrashing its head violently. Unfortunately for the avian, the velocity it gained was far too much to fight against. Even with powerful gusts of wind threatening to blow each and every student away, it was on the verge of crashing. "Oi oi, clear out! I didn't get a license for this thing!" With such powerful and unpredictable movements, not even Rachel's firm grasp on the bird's head would keep her stationary. The shark woman's grip would slip as her frame was sent sprawling into the air, her only saving grace was the grip she kept on the chain. In these violent thrashes, the Nevermore itself would first crash into the upper ring of northeast seats, taking out a large section before its massive body continued its decline into the lower ring. Its body would topple along the rows of chairs before one mighty wing and its head slumped over the inner walls crash into the arena atop of a cage with a most angry beast within it. In only a matter of moments, hundreds of seats had suffered under the weight of the massive creature and Rachel's own reckless antics. Yet, aside from that... There was but a moment of peace.
From the base of the avians beak against the ground, a bloodied and battered woman would be seen dragging herself from beneath the feathered mass. Bruises had already begun to form from the impact, as she herself suffered from a series of scraps and albeit minor cuts. Natural durability had its perks, especially with her aura active. "Mother fu... Didn't expect that kind of entrance... God damn, you overgrown cockatiel... We talked about this! Enter with style, with MINIMAL damage. ... F**kin' hell, Big Bird is gonna kill me." As she jumped up, she couldn't help but notice the world itself had become a hazy mess that spun around her. Her large frame would stumble, trying desperately to get a stable footing. Yet, it was in her missteps that her teeth lined chain would begin wrapping around and digging into the leather of her boots. Mostly regaining her composure, the woman would whip out a small remote like device and toss it into the air repeatedly. "Whoaaaa nelly... Alright... Alright! Okay. It's okay. I'm okay. Why do I see Like 50 of ya? Ain't this supposed to be a class of 16? ... So wibbly wobbly... Okay, whatever. LISTEN UP. I'm Rachel Anderson. RAAAA for short. I'm your teacher today. Cool. Glad that's out of the way... Kay. Cool. This is Sur...vi... ... Wait, weren't there three cages?" In the midst of her distraction, the remote would slip through her hands and fall to the ground.
In the midst of an introduction that lacked any formality, she'd finally feel the teeth spiked chain tighten and dig into her boot. The sound of a large mass beginning to shift and move with an endless ruffle of feathers sounded as the Nevermore behind stirred to life once more. The impact sure left it in a daze, but... No more. Burning yellow eyes that seethed with hatred would stare into the crimson hues of the woman that brought it here. The chain had gotten loose, and in a series of sudden motions, it would begin thrashing its head once again. With no control over its actions, Rachel's body would be whipped into the air only to be flung back and forth in a cartoonish manner. "THIS... IS... SURVIVAL... TEAM... DARK... KILL... THE... COCKATIEL!" Following her words, the great avian would rise to its feet once more. With a mighty flap of its wings, the giant bird would release a powerful gust of wind down on the students. It was only with a series of head bobs that the creature would finally shake the anchor free, launching the woman into the seats of the arena. Rachel's only saving grace was the anchor that was released with her, which hooked onto the upper balcony with her dangling by her ankle. Once the pest was free from its beak once and for all, luminous yellow eyes would gaze down at the students... There were just so many, an overwhelming number of targets. Who would be the first to feel its talons rip them to shreds? Enter: Nevermore Lvl 4.0 [Team DARK's assignment]
To make matters worse, there was something hidden beneath the rising mass of the Nevermore. Beneath its fears were large fragments of metal that had been warped and distorted with no remnants of a cage. From the shadow of the grand avian, a deep and powerful growl would begin to rumble. A sound that clearly didn't belong to such a bird, but a most fearsome creature that would step out from beneath it. With a large spiked mane of a jagged bone-like material and piercing yellow eyes accompanied with large black wings. Behind it, a tail spiked liked that of a scorpion would sway. Its first step was powerful, stomping down only to crushed the remote that Rachel once held. From its new stance, the creature would release a mighty roar that would rival that of the screeches from the great avian it stood beneath. With its wings spread wide an intense blaze would ignite within its maw. Upon flapping its wings and taking to the sky, it would release a volley of fireblast towards a cluster of students that had agitated the creature so immensely. [Koyrn, Sassy, Tessa, Eira] However, upon the release of a volley of flames, the manticore would take to the sky, unlike its larger avian ally. To feel its wings stretch, to finally breathe... One might've thought the Manticore was ready to leave without hesitation towards a sky. The fearsome creature would circle the upper arena, burning yellow hues looking down at the cluster of students below. One by one, it would surely rip them all to ribbons and feel their bones crushed beneath its might. Which would it start with? Enter: Manticore Lvl 3.0 [Team SNRS' assignment]
It was a series of clicking locks that caused a disturbance in the cage closest to the entrance. Harmonious hisses would begin to uproar from within its metal confines before the door finally burst open. From within, a large serpent would begin to uncoil and slither out at a rapid pace. The blackened head of the King Taijitu with deep crimson eyes would immediately focus on a rabbit girl who seemed far too excited for her own good. Its tongue would poke out for but a moment before slithering forward with intense speed, its massive frame circling around the group of students known as team DECO. While it was clear that the black head had its eyes on young Yenna, it was the white head that followed as a tail that would suddenly strike with bared fangs towards a girl whose presence was radiating negativity and anxiety. A state of unease that was toxic and drew the snake in like a most powerful pheromone. All the while, the black head continued to move its body to attempt to coil and enclose around the team. Enter: King Taijitu Lvl 1.0 [Team DECO's assignment]
A rapid buzzing would whirl as a large insectoid would burst from the undone locks. The Lancer would crawl out onto the top of its cage, large compound eyes looking back and forth at the whole mess of students. So many targets, so many victims... It was the sight of the great lion and the fearsome snake that made the creature think otherwise. Instead, though its eyes wouldn't show it, it was those of team STWR that caught its attention. After all, there was a burst of fire launched their direction. How could that not be eye-catching? As the wings buzzed loudly, the creature would begin an erratic flight pattern towards the team. Up and down in a zigzag formation, the insectoid grimm would manage to keep its distance before aiming to fire its harpoon-like stringer directly towards Sasselia. Enter: Lancer Lvl 1.0 [Team STWR's Assignment]
From the balcony above Rachel would hang by the chain of her anchor. How lucky was she to be wearing such big boots with her grieves today? Swaying back and forth, the woman would cup her mouth before shouting instructions. "Okay okay! Off to a good start! I like it! DARK, get that overgrown cockatiel! SNRS, show the air born p***y cat who's boss! STRW, tell that thing to bugger off! DECO. ... Uh... Four heads are better than two? Ya'll got your assignments, don't take another team's grimm unless yours is dead! I'ma be gradin' you for a lotta things, but the most important is don't go screwin' your classmates over! That's what I'm paid to do!"

Narx nodded when Danaë told him they were in survival. Survival in an arena? This was going to be a blood bath he thought. Well, at least a bunch of grimm would die. Maybe an ash bath then? Whatever it was that they turned into when they died. Narx jumped a bit when the package landed in his lap. At first he was confused, but then he noticed it was food. His eyes grew wide and for a moment it looked like he was about to cry. He was so happy. He broke into that box and gobbled up the contents faster than a thousand turkeys could gobble on thanksgiving."THANKS TESS!!!" He shouted with glee, but then felt a bit sad as he watched her walk over to her new team. He would forever feel a bit of sadness that the white rhino wasn't on his team, but he knew that she had his back, as he surely had hers if she ever needed it. He noticed Azura's disapproving gaze which didn't help either. He was told that he comes off a bit arrogant and egotistical, but he wasn't as full of himself as people usually thought. He had feelings too. He nodded resolutely before turning to see Richard."Oh hey Rich!"Richard handed his a protein bar which he scarfed down too quickly."This taste like heaven!"He said with a mouthful. He was finally starting to feel satisfied, but if he was being honest he could eat a lot more than this. Maybe Tess would BBQ later. He would have to invite himself to that if she did."I hope its great, if it isn't I'm going to be focused on food for the rest of the day and that just won't be fun."Narx rubbed his stomach
Narx stood up and stared in the same direction as Richard at the cages before Adam popped up."Oh, hey Adam. How's life rollin?" Adam lifted a fist to bump, but Narx wasn't as familiar with his greeting as he should be. He sort of awkwardly punched Adam's fist a bit too hard."That's how we do that right?"He grinned. "Yeah, this is my girlfriend Danaë, she's our awesome Captain! And my other teammate Richard. I think we have another somewhere, but he's new."He introduced them just in time for Ridley and her snarky comment about food pains."Same 'ol Ridley as ever I see!"Narx said playfully not giving into her game. He liked her sharp tongue and would return it later if things got competitive, right now he was just too famished to do anything about it.
Narx noticed Danaë's reaction to Ridley's words and quickly worked to resolve it. The last thing he wanted for Danaë to slit Ridley's throat."Don't worry! It was just aura class, Ridley has a semblance that is opposite mine, so we were pitted against each other, although indirectly. Nothing to worry about!" He said it in a rush, but tried to keep quiet about it. He didn't want to worry Ridley and Adam."These things are so good."He said as he plummeting the last bun into his mouth. He probably should have shared them, or at least kept his mouth shut about it. He tended to run his mouth when he was hungry."After this, what do you guys say about everyone going to town and getting some grub?" They would surely all be hungry after today's class. He made sure to look at Ridley and Adam to inform them that they were invited. And their team. He wouldn't have done this if Tess was still on their team as her and Cecil have a past, but maybe now they would be able to mend things. Both teams out having fun.
[ë -- will let everyone respond to the grimm before me.]

As he was asked if he was Chase, he would nod shyly to the avian faunus to indicate he was. Again, his vocal cords were refusing to work for him, not that he really knew what he would say anyway. It may be partially impolite to not speak, which was the main reason he had a small desire to do so in the first place. If he stayed silent though he would be safe, words couldn't be used against him, he'd save energy that he would need to fight. There were so many logical reasons not to speak but he could never fully shake the desire to do so anyway. Mostly, because he wanted to know what they knew or thought of him. He was pretty sure everyone knew what he supposedly did and was, but there was always a hope for him that he would be accepted at some point. 'Ms. Lenz was different...maybe others will be too...' He thought, or more so hoped, to himself. But with his last experience with school, he couldn't realistically expect it. Even standing up for himself had not fixed the myriad of issues he had there, or his own isolation from most others. But...As she continued speaking, in the midst of Chase's own internal negativity, she would introduce herself with her full name and claim she was the leader of the team...with a smile. Something else he was not often used to seeing. He almost felt a pull to say his full name, but if she already knew his first name she probably knew the rest of it. And he really didn't want to say his full name in front of so many people around them. She would then add a comment about it being a hoot of a time. He was unfamiliar with that word, wondering what she meant by it or why she giggled after. 'Is that a word for bad or good?' He wondered to himself. He had never heard the word used before for that, and felt slightly embarrassed. He didn't want to ask her about what it meant, couldn't really with how his voice was. She may have said it purposefully to test him, or wanting to exclude him for all he knew. Because he only knew the word to mean the sound an owl make- 'Of course, she is making a joke... Great going there Chase...Wait, does that mean she is an owl then?' She realized, berated, then asked himself fairly quickly in his mind. He now felt even more embarrassed that he had misinterpreted it so badly at first.
It was then that three others would join Danae and whoever was laying on the ground, causing Chase to subconsciously step back a few feet. There were already too many people all around, and he didn't want to be near a crowd that seemed to be forming so close to him currently. Not after what had happened in the streets a few weeks back, where he was only narrowly saved from doing something he now knew he would have regretted. He still had to go back to see Ms. Lenz soon after all that had happened. But he shook his mind clear of those thoughts as he could feel himself being slightly suffocated. While two of them were not interacting with him, may not have even noticed him from what he could tell, he still felt fairly uncomfortable. Plus one was directly interacting with him now, as his eyes panickedly looked towards him and everyone there. He didn't know who he was, but he was not engaging in the conversation of the others currently. Taking a deep breath, Chase would slowly raise his eyes to look at him. It was that armored warrior from before, who had gone off briefly and seemed to have just returned. 'Ms. Sved had spoken to him earlier...is he on the team...' Chase wondered to himself. He honestly had no clue who was on his team, just that he would meet them here. He didn't think it was the other two that had joined them, given they introduced themselves to the team leader. Chase would then shyly bow to him. He still didn't know enough about any of them to know if he would speak yet. Didn't know if his words mattered or would be used against him yet. Though he didn't continue walking backwards at this point. Richard at least wasn't distracted by others as far as he could tell, so he couldn't slip away unnoticed. It would be even more rude to do so than not speaking, so he found himself conflicted enough to stay in place for now. Though as the other person who was on the ground came up and asked if everyone wanted food startled Chase enough to step away quickly. 'So...many...people.' Was the thought that was going through his mind. He would barley be able to last well in a team with three others, but now there were five others here and some weren't even on his team. He just wanted to disappear in this large crowd, kill grimm, and go back to relative isolation.
And then...everything descended into chaos. He heard a sound that could not be mistaken, the sound of a nevermore, and looked up to the sky as his hound growled. It seemed to be flying slightly erratically...and after a little bit, it seemed to be diving straight to the arena with someone on top of it! Chase took a few steps back as it came crashing down from the seats and landing on some of the cages. He thought she had died from the landing, but miraculously she emerged out alive still. A fall like that with a nevermore probably would've killed most people. From her words, as Chase stood shock still at what just happened now, she seemed disoriented and her vision must be off. 'She needs to be treated...' He thought to himself. He had a bit of medical knowledge and training, but he didn't know if he could fix something like that. However, despite it all she seemed intent with continuing class...Until she was interrupted by the nevermore stirring as it began to flap its wings. Chase held both hands out in front of him to cover his face and took on stance to try and keep his balance as he felt the strong gusts of air hitting him and launching debris at him. He very nearly got pushed away by it and was slid back a few feet but managed to retain his balance till it stopped as Rachel seemed to assign it to a team. 'We're assigning targets!?! Shouldn't we just take down whatever we can??' he thought and worried to himself as he saw his instructor get tossed away with the anchor. Then, beneath the nevermore the Grimm previously locked away began to come out! Fireballs would head toward one team as a winged chimera, the manticore, would take flight. Next came a double headed snake grimm, the King Taijitu, which seemed to try circle around a group of students while the other head tried eating one. Finally, a lancer would emerge and begin flying in a crazy pattern to another group of students. Somehow, none of them had targeted the large group that was his team and a few others.
It was absolute chaos with all the Grimm loose. Chase couldn't imagine this was what the teacher had intended...until he heard her speak again, somehow still being alive after all this still... as she assigned everyone a specific grimm and said they would be penalized if they didn't go for the one they were assigned first. 'She's making it a grade to kill them in order? Is she insane...She came in riding on a nevermore, the answer is probably yes.' Chase incredulously thought to himself. As he looked up into the sky to see the manticore flying not to high up, he wondered how they would even get to it. But, unlike with people, he felt no fear as he looked to the creature itself. Not anymore, not after what he had been through. His father had made sure to train that out of him when it came to grimm, to battle. In battle, there were no complex emotions or rules or worries to deal with. All that mattered was that he survived it, and whatever was after him didn't. He enjoyed killing grimm, something else his father trained in him, but mostly because he viewed those creature as alike to his father. His hound still growled, but for now would be of no use while all of this was going on. While the manticore would be the first to die. It was too far for his blood to be of use as of yet, but that didn't mean he could not set up for him. He brought his left hand up to his mouth and took a bite out of his palm, a muffled grunt of pain as he did so. Blood, while only small drops, began to trickle down his palm. With that done he would draw his pistol and aim it at the manticore before firing at it. He wanted it closer to fight, which meant he needed it to come to him. He wasn't aiming anywhere specific at it, all he was trying to do was get its intention. He also activated his blood creation, the trickle of blood from his palm now leading to an ever growing pool forming beneath him. He needed it to be ready to attack if it got close enough, and he could always use it so long as it remained.
Cecil watched the area go dark as he looked up, watching the most unusual sight, drawing out his Reiterpallasch as the cries of battle were made known above them. He watched as their teacher not only fight a Nevermore, but use another Grimm to get up there. Slowly the bird came to a crash as he spun his reiterpallasch around as he summoned up his aura with a sudden burst, beginning to drop the temperature of the room. Slowly the teacher stood with a smile upon her face as she announced who she was with a very loud rawr as she seemed to be distracted afterwards. In that very next instant, she was being flung about in the air by her chain with the hel of the Nevermore taking its rage out on her. He glared at the bird as he looked to the rest of team Dark. Among them was Adam, a good confusing man; Ridley, who could transfer the mental pain of one to another; and Azura, who was one of the best illusionists he could ever know. From them was himself, a man who had to charge up a semblance to put it to use before he soon said, "Ridley, I hope you have a plan."
He really hoped she did as the teacher informed them of what they were fighting and it was now staring at the entire group. He could see it was looking to everyone else and with that, he collapsed the Reiterpallasch to use the dagger & pistol form as he took aim and fired at it. He knew the bullet wouldn't do much, but it will attract it's attention to him if it managed to hit it's mark of the left wing.

Adam nodded to the butterfly and smiled. "Koryn. Cool name." he said. Then a blue hair appraoched them. She bowed politely at their meeting, but didn't mention her name. Not much of a need seeing that Koryn took that pleasure from her quckly after.Adam turned to Ridley hearing her explanation to his scare. "Fun? Yo, you think it's fun?" he laughed. "Don't worry I gotcha. I'll have my revenge, Ms. Thing." he promised. He looked at her skeptically as he said, "I don't think it's to keep me on my toes. You just like seeing me jump that's all." he chuckled. He turned back to Koryn and Sasselia. "It's cool to meet you both. I hope we all hit it off!" he said with a thumbs up. Adam turned back to Ridley and just hummed. "Mm-hmm." as he looked through slitted eyes. She would more than likley recognized that sound as one of his few declarations of war. He removed his glasses and began to shine them since he hasn't since he woke up.
He raised his eyebrows at Koryn's compliment to Ridley and turned to the golden huntress of topic. "Yeah, Ridley. How'd you get so pretty? Been wonderin' myself actually." he said in a joking tone with some truth underlying. He smacked his lips jokingly as he raised his eyebrows waiting for a response from his bold and strong team leader hoping she'd give him an opening for a joke. Adam looked over to see Koryn messing agitating the creature within the cages and was going to attempt to stop her before her team acted. Tessa picking her up and physically removing her from the creatures prison. He noticed that her bra, if you could called it that, was slipping and he turned around faster than lightning. "Nope! Ain't gettin' beat up today." he said. If entering a room without thinking was enough to get attacked, by his own teammates no less, warranted bodily harm then seeing a malfunction such as this spelled nothing but death. Adam was traumatized and he'd use it to his advantage.
He heard Koryn shout something about seeing her 'bubbies' and something about thinking again. Adam assumed everything stayed in place and no mishaps happened. So he turned back around to have everyone in view. After making their way to Narx and his now identified girlfriend he sent a smiled both of their ways. He chuckled at Narx's attempt at dap. A little hard, but not bad for the first time. "Heh. Yeah that's how you do it, but a little softer. It's called 'dap' remember it cuz that's how I'm greeting you from now on." he said. He shook the owl Faunus' hand and was surprised at the texture. "Whoa!" he exclaimed. "You are soft!" he said as he let go of her hand so it wouldn't be wierd. Though her feathers were soft he could feel the 'weight' of them meaning they were more than just a pretty aesthetic. "Is it offensive to say that your feather would make the best pillows?" he asked genuinely curious. "Anyway, Danaë, I hope I'm sayin' that right, nice to meet'cha." he smiled. Adam noticed the question in Danaë's greeting to Ridley. and Narx quickly and quietly said something to her. It was none of Adam's business so he didn't pry. What was his business was the food he just scarfed. It smelled and looked delicious. "Yes!" Adam said before he could finish his question. Afterwards there was a from Narx that said Adam and Ridley were invited. "Huh. Guess I jumped the gun on that. My answer ain't changin'." he smiled.
Adam heard a noise from above. It went dark for a quick second and he looked around. "Yo, did the sun just blink?" he asked. He looked up and his eyes widened. It was the biggest Grimm he's ever seen. A giant avain Grimm he's only read about called a Nevermore. "Uhhhh." he uttered. That wasn't even the most amazing thing. He looked to see another Grimm flying around the Nevermore. And someone riding it! He cleaned his glasses to see if it was a sentient smudge on the lenses. It wasn't. After an awesome action scene and the beheading of a Griffon the culprit of wrangling the creatures of this class made herself known. Rachel was her name and living ont he edge was clearly the game. Adam stifled a chuckle when seeing her interactions with the Grimm. He knew it was a serious class, but c'mon. Not having a license, calling it a Cockatiel, mentioning a discussion about the entrance. And more than that. Adam couldn't help it. Don't judge.
The Nevermore began thrashing about swinging their teacher wildly. Normally one to laugh at situations similar to this, the joke was over once they were given the order to kill it. Adam didn't take this opponent lightly as he shouldn't have. He unzipped his jacket and threw it to the side revealing his grey sleeveless beater. "Alright, first time taking on something this big, but he goes everything." he said doing a quick stretch of the limbs. He did his best to hold his grouind against the gusts from the mighty flapping of its wings. He was blown away a bit, but recovered. He was pushed into the cicinity of the rest of his team conviniently and heard Cecil mention something about a plan. He smiled and pushed his glasses up. "Yeah, I'm sure her plan is what we all thinkin'." he said cracking his knuckles. "Kill it!" he said rushing to the bird. Adam had no distance attacks, his fighting style was up close and personal so thinking was the first thing he thought of. "I'm gonna need some cover!" he shouted over his shoulder looking to get some cover from their sniper. "I'm going to try for the eyes! Try to clip the wings!" he said.
By no means was he trying to take the leadership roll, but he wanted to jump on this thing while it still had a bit of damage. Couldn't let it recover. Closer and closer he got before he reached back and grabbed Nice n' Shiny. He fired his pistols as close to the eyes as possible as he closed in. He converted them into gauntlet mode as he tightened his hands into fists and began to assault the Nevermore's right ankle. He was stronger than the average person, so he knew his blows would do a decent amount of damage especially over time. He made sure to keep his wits about him for the slightest change in movement for a counterattack.

Such a sudden and excited compliment from the eccentric butterfly would leave Ridley first shocked, but then confused. Golden orbs would blink once, staring for a moment at the girl shadowed by such grand wings. Slowly the smirk would work its way back onto her lips, a small laugh bubbling from her mouth at the common that came next. It didn't help with the confusion but she couldn't fight the feeling that she avoided something by her size. Giving what she had seen from Koryn so far, she could assume it involved grabby hands of some sort. Like Adam, the girl didn't seem to have much regard for personal space. As always, such thoughts made her smile, bringing her back to that very first day she had met Adam. Their very first mission together, though he hadn't been a member of Team DARK at the time. Still, rather than a formal introduction she had found the boy right in her face as he brought them nose to nose. It was just lucky for him that she wasn't quick to punch, like a certain someone they had once known. As big of a surprise as it had been, it had led him to filling the empty spot on her team when Team SODA dissolved and that blossomed into a friendship that she couldn't imagine her life without today. At least, that's what they were calling it. Friendship, despite the passive comments from their teammates, Narx, and everyone else that seemed to see something there they weren't fully aware of themselves. Those odd little feelings that she couldn't quite ignore but wasn't sure what they meant, or how to address them. As if on cue, Adam chimed in on their conversation, and the compliment caused the faintest of pink colors to feel her cheeks. Why was it that nearly anyone else could compliment her and she wouldn't so much as bat an eye at it, but kind words from him always elicited reactions like this? Quick to shake it off, the girl would bring her golden gaze to Adam, a playful smirk tugging on the corner of her lips. "It's all that beauty sleep. Wake me before dawn and in my place you would find Medusa." The comment was teasing perhaps, but it played off of her morning habits and the simple fact that her team had long since learned not to wake her. Better she take her anger out on that wretched alarm clock than her friends. "That's the real reason why I get so angry over people waking me up early. I would hate to accidentally turn you to stone."
Taking Adam's lead as the large rhino faunus known as Tessa began nearing the group, she followed as he walked away, casting a wary-eyed glance over her shoulder. She wasn't the biggest fan of Tessa or her antics, the willingness to beat someone up on a whim, displayed time and time again but most primly when she had thrown an entire pew of desks at Team DARK in their last class. However, the need to man handle everyone around her, even if it was for something as supposedly sweet as a literal bone-crushing hug was not something she was entirely fond of either. Watching the scene for a moment, she turned her head forward just as Koryn trumped all of them, letting out a soft laugh at her choice word for boobs. It wasn't entirely surprising, considering what she had seen from the girl so far, but it was rather amusing. As they approached Narx and Danae, they ran into a few others along the way. A quiet, pale haired boy. The teal haired boy she'd seen for just a moment while talking to Koryn. Perceptive as always, she didn't miss the strange look in Danae's eyes as they were introduced, all spawning from the mention of her causing hunger pains. Ridley looked neither apologetic or concerned. After all, if the girl wanted to turn a simple jest into more than it was, it was an issue that could be handled in due time. However, she couldn't help but wonder if it was a good idea to ever let the owl know just how much pain she had caused Narx. If this was her reaction to the idea of hunger pains, the agony she had shared with Narx was certainly far worse. It wasn't something she would apologize for, considering it hadn't been anything more than a class assignment. It wasn't like she had wanted to hurt him, sure he had egged her on, but Ridley was temper-prone, not evil. Pushing the subject from her mind for now, she let Narx diffuse the situation and instead offered the guy a signature smirk and a mock salute as his comment. "I'm nothing if not reliable." It was a statement that held true on many levels, but certainly covered the fact that she dished out playful banter to just about everyone around her. A sharp tongue, but a playful nature. She wouldn't be Ridley without either of those traits.
The subject of lunch would be breached, but before Ridley could respond, a strange commotion began taking place overhead. A creature so large it blocked out the sun itself would loom over the Arena and as it began to grow closer, the figure of what she could only assume was their teacher was making her way down on a nevermore. It ended with the goliath of a woman dragging herself from beneath the beast only to tumble and stand, bloodied and bruised. Her instructions were rather confusing and all over the place, clearly identifying blurred vision from the fall, but the fact that she was standing at all after a ride like that was impressive in and of itself. It was no doubt that the crimson tower, Rachel as she called herself, was both durable and strong. However, such a speech would end in her being dragged back up in the air and flailed about by the chain of her own weapon. There would be some indistinguishable shouting, but the point was clear. Team DARK was to kill the nevermore before it swallowed their teacher or any of the other students whole. If there was any set plan or orderly fashion that they were going to slaw these creatures, that was all shot to hell in the teacher's daze. The containment cages were opened, releasing all of the grim at once. Quite literally, all hell broke lose in the chaos that was no the arena. Still, despite this teacher's recklessness, Ridley was excited and she couldn't help but feel she was going to like this Rachel. After all, Ridley had a reckless streak of her own. "Lunch, yeah! Just don't die." She would respond to Nark and the rest of team SNRS. It likely sounded pessimistic, but it was her way of saying good luck, break a leg. She meant well by it, whether they took it that way or not. Either way she wasn't sticking around to explain. She had a team to direct and a giant a** bird to roast. "Have a little faith, Cecil. I always have a plan." She would call to him, that smirk never leaving her lips despite the seriousness of the situation. Unsheathing the dual blades from her hips, golden eyes would never leave the beast in the sky. Amber hues were locked onto ebony wings, following its every move. "Adam, you do what you do best. Get in as many hits as you can, take out its sigh but be careful for that beak. It looks sharp." Eyes still turned to the sky, she would address Azura next. "Give Adam the cover he needs but try to use your illusions to distract it. Keep its attention off of us. Give Cecil time to charge up his semblance."
Cecil needed time, she knew that, but he was going to be key in helping to take this thing out of the sky. "When you're ready, give me your signal. You take the right wing, I'll take the left. For now I;m going to do my best to hinder it." For just a moment the raven haired girl would glance over her shoulder at Cecil, giving him a short nod before turning golden orbs upwards once more. A shimmer of gold aura would surround her as she concentrated on the beast. Using her semblance on grim was always very different than using it on humans. It always took her a moment longer to find her way in, and it never worked out exactly how she expected. However, it was just as possible and equally effective when she succeeded. Eyelids would flutter shut, brows furrowed and forehead creased in concentration. She needed to get it out of the sky, get it on their level. Thinking back to the time she was just a kid and had fallen out of a tree after being so excited in her success to scale it, such a victory had turned sour as she landed wrong and shattered the bones within her left arm. She remembered the sound of the bones splintering. The agony that shot through her arm like a forest fire burning through her cells. The sharp pain as broken bone punctured through tender pale flesh, painting her in scarlet. The memory would play at the forefront of her mind, on a constant loop until she was not only seeing it but feeling it too. Teeth grinding together, golden eyes would open once more and as they did she would force this pain onto the creature in above them. Where she felt the pain within her arm, the beast would feel it within its wing. If they were lucky, it would effect its flying and hinder its moment. If it wasn't enough, she had an entire arsenal of ammunition.

Danaë would be horribly confused. She didn't remember being in Aura class. The fog in her mind wasn't clearing for it either. Normally the mention of something would bring the memories up. She was then jolted back to reality by the statement that she was soft. Confusion would be in her eyes. That was right, she offered her hand to him. He had felt her feathers. He hadn't touched her without permission. He commented about her feathers being used as a pillow. "I'll take that into consideration next time I molt." She hated molting season. It was horrible, she was cold, and she typically hid herself away. She didn't like how she looked without her feathers.
Narx then offered for them to go to lunch afterwards. Danaë would step in, seeing that they needed to talk to their new member, but a blackness overtook the sky. It would put her on edge. The Nevermore crashed on the area, Danaë looking confused. She would then hear their assignment. There was only one way to get up to where, to be launched, and she was the smallest one of the team. This was gona be fun. She would look to Narx. "I'll bring it down, but I need you and Richard to launch me up there. I'll try to crash it into the ground. I'd prefer that you would use your hammer rather than your hands." She looked up, ready to go up there. She would reach for her more deadly daggers. "Chase, I don't know what you can do, but I'm going to have to stay with it the entire way down, if you can cushion my fall, that would be awesome." She kept her eyes on the target the entire time.
