From the destruction at the office Sadayo had essentially went off in one direction and carried on in so until finding this mess. The red dressed Niko was one she recognized right off and as one fighting alone, that situation wasn't going to fly. Her only regret was not finding this mess sooner. Somehow it felt right that the sand ninja be the one who swoops in and saves the day.

Sadayo stopped as she caught onto the kaboom of red-lightning. From her perch on the very warehouse building about where rouge was found. It was a powerful attack and based on the state Niko seemed to be in the lightning barrage must have been hers. Goodness help Sadayo if she were wrong.
There was still a chance to utilize the element of surprise but first, Sadayo had to move herself away enough but still have a vantage point. She retreated back several feet before changing to the next building. The harbor was off to her left and the exhausted Niko was below with the target surely prepping to strike for the kill.

The jounin had left all four of her acttive puppets behind on the roof of the previous building: Her masked, Sadayo double, the samurai, the Gishin puppet, and YÅ«utsu. Sadayo had the eagle-eye view and a strong chance at success despite the omnipresent risk in the back of her mind as she cast an illusion over her position. She'd had to be ready going in blind.

Her first move was dropping the SADAYO puppet and Nirami to the ground to divide them. SADAYO more behind the glowering Nirami puppet and mimicking the readied stance of the puppeteer. The YÅ«utsu puppet followed but was guided to land behind the rogue. Gishin was brought in from another angle entirely to support Niko.

Her artificial double is designed to be quiet, unlike the other puppets present, and mimic the lady pulling the strings in more ways than one.     As the rogue gave her praise and raised her blade, all looked lost for Niko. Then, as if it were planned, the puppets came to the rescue. They surrounded the rogue and tied her up while one jumped in front of Niko to defend her. "I don't know what this is but I'm gonna kill whoever i-" The rogue was then ran through with the odachi ending the fight and taking her life. She fell to the ground and that was that.

    The woman from the blood moon incident jumped down and approached Niko. "Are you okay?" Still on a knee, Niko calmed her breathing. After a moment she slowly rose, still spent from the fight. She would turn to her savior with a thankful bow. "I am alright. I sustained no injuries, just over exerted myself. Hisashi however..." She looked over to the down and out wolf, then back to the rogue. He dead body laid there with a dumbfounded look. A disgusted look came upon Niko's face. "It would appear we need more training after all." She bent down and picked up the rogue's great sword with just as much ease as the rogue herself. She sealed it away in her lightning seal, as a memento of her struggle there today. Then she turned back to the puppeteer.

    "I thank you for your help." Niko would leave her, only for a moment, while she went to Hisashi. She would be unable to carry him in his current form, so Niko used a transformation on him to turn him into a small pup. She carried him back to the puppeteer. "I need to take him to the hospital, but I never caught your name. I know Hisashi would love to thank you as well when he wakes up..." Niko was still mad at herself for letting that happen to him. Still, she was grateful they were saved and that was the only thing that mattered at the moment.

    With the village being in the state that it was in, they would need all hands on deck, and unfortunately, Niko and Hisashi would no longer be considered hands. Niko was doing a good job of hiding it, but her exhaustion was real. It was taking every ounce of pride in her body not to fall over and pass out. The SADAYO puppet was looking more and more inviting as the extended arms started to look like that of mother's wanting to hold her child. Still, Niko resisted the urge. The puppeteer stated her name stiffly, as if it didn't matter. Niko shook her head in her mind. "Why is there a lack of pride in her voice? I wonder what happened to her..." Niko would think only for a second before she turned to address her senior in Sadayo.

    "I've learned a lot in this fight so I suppose you are right... spilled milk and all..." She bowed again. "Niko Hatake. Maybe you could show us how to handle ourselves better when this is all over, Sadayo Soga. However, for now, I think it best for me to tend to Hisashi on my own. You and your skills may be needed elsewhere. The village seems to be a mess right now... I'm sure the Uzukage will understand what happened here..." A smile can across her face indicating it was alright. "I will return to the effort once I have some time to recover..." Then, after a small stumble, Niko caught herself. She looked back up at Sadayo with a "you didn't see that" face. After a deep breath and a sigh, Niko said something that bared a lot of weight, something that was rarely said, and something only a few people have heard. For Niko, loyalty was everything. She stood by who she stood and by them alone. To her, Sadayo had earned that loyalty. It was now on her to decide what to do with it. Niko stood in respect awaiting her response.

    "Sadayo Soga, from this point forward you are part of my pack. You will always have my loyalty, and I will always have your back."

    Niko's pride. If there was anything that was a hindrance to her growth, it would be that. Niko watched Sadayo leave with only one thought on her mind...

    Niko didn't have time to worry about where she stood with the shinobi of the whirlpool at the moment. She needed to tend to Hisashi ASAP. She turned Sadayo down, not just because she was too prideful, but because she also had no intention of going to the hospital. Niko lied to her senior to hide the fact that she had planned to take care of him herself, just like she always did, and she herself also had things she needed to do in the mean time, outside of the village's best interest.

    There was a sense of pride in Niko that would not allow her to take a hand or seek one out. For as long as she could remember after the war, it was just her and Hisashi, no one else. During that time, Niko had placed her trust and loyalties in the wrong place like she always did and often found herself in bad places because of it. This would change her over the years, and it was finally starting to take a toll on her. She was slowly starting to see why she would always feel like this. It was not the other shinobi, it was not the jobs she took, and it was not her strength. It was her. After a sigh of failure, Niko started off towards her home.

        Koutetsu made his way down to where the fleet remained docked. Koutetsu picked up his pace and leapt through the air, landing on the deck of the flagship. A couple people saw him and waved, but Koutetsu quickly made his way down to his mother's work quarters. He checked the board by her room for the work order and tore it down as soon as he found it. Before he could open the door, a large, weathered hand clamped down o his shoulder.

        "Kou! I haven't heard from your mother since she left to go speak to the Kage. Hear from her?" a heavy set man, Ulthane was one of his mom's best friends and a former apprentice of Koutetsu's grandmother. Koutetsu looked up at Ulthane and gestured inside. Pulling open the door, the two made there way into the workshop. Ulthane, closed it behind him slowly. "Kou. You're a quiet one, but this is quiet even for you. Talk." Koutetsu kept it simple, "We're at war. Uzu was attacked. Mom was a casualty." Koutetsu gritted his teeth, biting down the pain that was still fresh. Ulthane closed his eyes and turned his head to the side. When he looked back at Koutetsu, his blood orange eyes seemed to burn right through him, "Kou. The list." Koutetsu handed it over. Still struggling to stamp down the feelings welling inside. "Go to the market, we'll need three packs of ore. When you return, clean the workspace and we'll get started."         Koutetsu returned back to the gully with the supplies needed. Making his way back inside the ship to his mother's workshop, Koutetsu entered without knocking only to see the room empty. Ulthane hasn't returned yet? I can still get started. Placing the materials in their respective bins, Koutetsu set about prepping the room.

        He grabbed a broom and quickly swept the floor for any debris. He picked up a few tools and placed them in the order of use as his mom had shown him since he was young. He lit the forge and added more coal to help it raise its heat.

        Ulthane entered, his hammer resting on his broad shoulders. "Kou. I see you've already got it started. Let's get to work. Man the bellows." Koutetsu nodded, grabbing a bellow and blowing air into the forge. Ulthane hefted a heavy clay pot and placed it into the forge with tongs. He grabbed a select few ores and placed them in using the tongs.

        Koutetsu continued to operate the bellows until the forge had reached the right temperature, before taking over on the tongs. Both he and Ulthane worked in silence, An unspoken communication between the two based on mutual knowledge and shared grief. As the ores mixed and melted down, Ulthane prepped the molds. Koutetsu switched off and held the molds steady as Ulthane poured the Molten material.

        As the steel began to take shape, Koutetsu removed them carefully and assisted Ulthane with folding. Reheating the material temporarily, they would fold it in over itself. Unique to the process developed by his mother and father, Koutetsu added a fine layer of black steel into the mix. His bloodline added a greater density adding a greater tensile strength to the weapons produced.

        Once the blades were finished, Ulthane smoothed the rough edges and sharpened the blades. Carefully, Koutetsu cut strips of specially treated leather from a large roll. Wrapping each finished Kunai's handle, Koutetsu focused on his breathing. Inhale. Exhale. the mantra served to focus his attention on the weaving of the strips and maintained order.

        While Ulthane prepped the next batch of material, Koutetsu cleaned up the scraps from the first project. Removing any and all unnecessary materials. He placed the batch of kunai into the finished bin and then signalled to Ulthane he was ready.

        Koutetsu returned back to the gully with the supplies needed. Making his way back inside the ship to his mother's workshop, Koutetsu entered without knocking only to see the room empty. Ulthane hasn't returned yet? I can still get started. Placing the materials in their respective bins, Koutetsu set about prepping the room.

        He grabbed a broom and quickly swept the floor for any debris. He picked up a few tools and placed them in the order of use as his mom had shown him since he was young. He lit the forge and added more coal to help it raise its heat.

        Ulthane entered, his hammer resting on his broad shoulders. "Kou. I see you've already got it started. Let's get to work. Man the bellows." Koutetsu nodded, grabbing a bellow and blowing air into the forge. Ulthane hefted a heavy clay pot and placed it into the forge with tongs. He grabbed a select few ores and placed them in using the tongs.

        Koutetsu continued to operate the bellows until the forge had reached the right temperature, before taking over on the tongs. Both he and Ulthane worked in silence, An unspoken communication between the two based on mutual knowledge and shared grief. As the ores mixed and melted down, Ulthane prepped the molds. Koutetsu switched off and held the molds steady as Ulthane poured the Molten material.

        As the steel began to take shape, Koutetsu removed them carefully and assisted Ulthane with folding. Reheating the material temporarily, they would fold it in over itself. Unique to the process developed by his mother and father, Koutetsu added a fine layer of black steel into the mix. His bloodline added a greater density adding a greater tensile strength to the weapons produced.

        Once the blades were finished, Ulthane smoothed the rough edges and sharpened the blades. Carefully, Koutetsu cut strips of specially treated leather from a large roll. Wrapping each finished Kunai's handle, Koutetsu focused on his breathing. Inhale. Exhale. the mantra served to focus his attention on the weaving of the strips and maintained order.

        While Ulthane prepped the next batch of material, Koutetsu cleaned up the scraps from the first project. Removing any and all unnecessary materials. He placed the batch of kunai into the finished bin and then signalled to Ulthane he was ready.

        Ulthane shook his head back, "Your turn to do a batch. It's been awhile since I've seen you work, let's see where you are at, Kou." Koutetsu wordless moved over to the ore bin and selected what he would require.

        He placed the materials into the smelting pot, so they could begin melting down. He moved over and prepped the molds to make sure they were ready. Every now and then he would check the smelting pot and the heat of the forge, using the bellows to raise the heat when necessary. He mixed in some of his own black steel into the mix, and set about pouring the resultant alloy into the molds.

        For the next several hours Koutetsu repeated the process, every now and then demonstrating a different method of cooling or a different ratio of materials. Each creation he made let him focus his mind; Every fall of the hammer a strengthening to his will. He moved from one blade to the next, paying attention to every minute detail.

        Koutetsu was finishing wrapping the handles of the kunai he had made, each one a matte black coloration, when Ulthane spoke up for the first time in hours. "Kou," he said in his usual gruff tone, drawing Koutetsu's attention to where Ulthane was examing his work. "Your work is exceptional for your age, even for those raised in the fleet. Sujime taught you well. In the matter of succession in Kajibamaru, I've been given command of this vessel in the wake of her passing. I have a few orders to deliver and will be taking her out soon. Whenever she is in town, if you're available, I will train you until you're ready to captain your own vessel."

        Koutetsu closed his eyes, the feel of the hammer in his hand and the fresh memory of each stroke resounded in his ears, I knew this was to happen, I have my own place, but I will need to convince the Uzukage that I am ready for the responsibility to be a shinobi again. Koutetsu nodded slowly, "Understood, Ulthane-Sensei."

        After a little more discussion on clan matters and what lay ahead for Koutetsu, He thanked Ulthane and bid him well on his voyage. Leaving the ship, he stood on the docks memorizing its features, before setting off back into the village. Despite needing to speak to the Uzukage about his status, Koutetsu still didn't feel ready to approach Chie-sensei yet. Checking his wallet, he decided to head to the mines in order to gather supplies for future work.

    Appearance/Apparel:
    The first image below (spoiler) reflects her physical appearance as well as her typical apparel. She wears stylish glasses over basic make up with a thin white shirt that is waaaay toooo soft, comfortable, and snug to look this thin. Her shirt is not lengthy yet drapes enough to make it a mystery if she is wearing anything underneath. However, when her shirt slightly lifts from time to time it reveals a garter set that conceals a good amount of skin but is still quite suggestive. She typically always sports a choker that she pairs with a leash for special occasions. Lastly, a pair of stylish heels that work well with her setup, since she is not very combative for a serial killer. Her outfits usually come in a variation of colors such as white, gray, and black, but time from time she may coordinate the colors differently to avoid being too predictable and plain. Shackles are laced around the ankles with chain bonds which are just for entertainment. She has 3 separate markings with two being depicted in the first image containing a tattoo riding under the collar bone and in her cleavage. The second image contains a tattoo similar to the Dharma Power Seal, but unlike the picture this marking is located on the lower back rather than the upper back instead of what is depicted in the image.

    It was difficult living here when no

    one was looking, but she bared with

    it. Aya figured instead of moping

    around, she would instead begin her

    ninja journey and possibly train.

    Aya stood straight after leaning on a

    rail and looking into the gully of

    floating corpses. The irony seemed

    quite funny to her for those who may

    have been merely watching her lazily

    observing bodies. What made it so

    ironic was quite difficult to pick out

    among all her unique traits and

    lifestyle. None the less, Aya turned

    bout and went through a glass

    sliding door, that would take her off

    the balcony and into her living room.

    She looked in the mirror momentarily

    pivoting side to side before giving a

    faint shrug of the shoulders and

    exiting her apartment. Maybe the

    academy would be the best place

    to go now that she was serious.

    Appearance/Apparel:
    The first image below (spoiler) reflects her physical appearance as well as her typical apparel. She wears stylish glasses over basic make up with a thin white shirt that is waaaay toooo soft, comfortable, and snug to look this thin. Her shirt is not lengthy yet drapes enough to make it a mystery if she is wearing anything underneath. However, when her shirt slightly lifts from time to time it reveals a garter set that conceals a good amount of skin but is still quite suggestive. She typically always sports a choker that she pairs with a leash for special occasions. Lastly, a pair of stylish heels that work well with her setup, since she is not very combative for a serial killer. Her outfits usually come in a variation of colors such as white, gray, and black, but time from time she may coordinate the colors differently to avoid being too predictable and plain. Shackles are laced around the ankles with chain bonds which are just for entertainment. She has 3 separate markings with two being depicted in the first image containing a tattoo riding under the collar bone and in her cleavage. The second image contains a tattoo similar to the Dharma Power Seal, but unlike the picture this marking is located on the lower back rather than the upper back instead of what is depicted in the image.

    Aya would head home looking at the

    mess that poverty created. However,

    this was likely one of the better

    looking places among the struggling

    class. The kage wanted this area

    clean. One could find bodies here if

    that were enough to deem cleaning

    this area worthy. Aya would do some

    work knowing she could not clean

    everything. After all these bodies did

    not get here over night. One at a time

    she just went on dragging out bodies

    and other miscellaneous trash that

    was floating about. She did not find

    this fun, but she knew that it had to

    get done if she wanted to rank up.

    She also knew she loved her home

    and seeing this area free of dead

    corpses would free up her mind.

    Nothing would quite free her mind

    like finishing this mission. When Aya

    had completed taking bodies out of

    the gully to the best of her ability,

    she realized she was running late.

    Aya had to get get out of her nasty

    clothes and walk the dog. Aya held

    a handseal, then her clothes

    vanished... She held another

    handseal and her clothes reappeared

    along with a leash. Aya then took off

    to pick up the dog... Next scene

    Aya and the dog would be walking.

    The next cut scene Aya and the dog

    would be running and eating ice

    cream... Aya then finally realized...

    this is a dog... She put him on the

    ground after a sudden halt then

    thread the leash through his collar.

    Things seemed to be normal again as

    she walked the dog like an ordinary

    person. She taught him a few tricks,

    but she did not get carried away since

    it wasn't her dog. Not to say she did

    not have it's well being in mind, but

    anything above a treat was unlikely

    to occur. Aya did toss the dog a treat

    though. After walking him for about

    thirty minutes to an hour, Aya took

    him home to his owner.

Higher ranks of training in this Style increase maximum rank of the bonus by one, starting with a mild boost at D-Rank. Cannot stack with the Hard Mental style.
