Eternal Sailor Acubens -- 67/70

If Acubens had ears like a canine, they would have been perked at the top of her head in that moment. Never mind to promise of free dessert (how could she really say no) he knew... Leto? It could have been a negaverse trick but... Acubens had learned a long time ago to trust her gut she supposed...

He did as she asked, though, and Acubens couldn't stop the small twinge of guilt that stabbed through her. She was about to do her job and step on a plate as best she could when Abstracta caught her attention. Her foot hovered over the plate, nerves still crackling from the last shock. Did she just... was that part of her powers? Her sphere? She had said that she was a senshi of spectres... but other chaos agents were doing the same without teleporting...

Acubens followed suit, taking a deep breath and holding it as she did so, as though passing through water. Upon surfacing on the other side, she let it out in a long, slow, shaking stream. She nodded to Abstracta, muttering, "good call, kiddo," as she squeezed her shoulder. She even managed to nod to Benitoite.

"If we get out of this I may just apologize for my behavior. Maybe."

She chose her plate carefully, holding her breath again and only letting it out when she was sure nothing was going to happen.

DM Sailor Abstracta

The hand on her shoulder was reassurung, a sound confirmation from someone like the senshi that had been there the night she'd been awakened into this part of her life. It gave her the encouragement to move forward again.

Her boots were not made with grounding electricity in mind. In her excitement at having some of the older folks finally tuning in to play the next level of Purgatory Playground she'd stepped on a panel far too soon. The feel of the last jolt hadnt left her and this one seemed worse because of it. She didn't want to play anymore...

"The timing can't be off. It has to be about timing." The teen peered through the window, trying to see if she could tell whether or not her counter part in the other room had picked a new piece of floor or not.

What was this? Another game?

Erytheia didn't like this one bit. It didn't make sense. The walls themselves seemed to have a mind of their own.

The young man managed to not get zapped this time, but he still knew no more of what they were here for then he knew in the last room. Perhaps the next room would provide an answer.

DM Sailor Abstracta

In an attempt to figure out exactly what was going on in the other room, Abstracta stuck her head through the wall once more. Her timing, in this case, was spot on for hearing the white-moon senshi huffing over her impromptu nickname.

"Purple was shorter than Seafoam. Proper introductions after this, maybe?" Her brow lofted as she flashed the other girl a grin while making a mental note of the panel she was stepping on. She then leaned back into her own room. "Hey, Red? Panel with the zig-zag lines and the three dots. Should be the last one we need."

Your tasks have not been easy and the weight of stress and adrenaline (and some singed skin from “motivation”) has been heavy upon your shoulders. Your group’s tasks are complete, the black door previously barring your progress slides open with ease. This reveals another staircase, but much shorter this time, and at the top, the door is already open.

This new room contains eleven transparent tubes, the perfect size and shape to house each one of you individually. Six tubes line one wall, five on the other, with black panels beside them at eye level, blinking nonsensical shapes and symbols. The electrical wire patterns on the walls are pulsing much faster in this room, and the mechanical humming is louder than ever.

Once all twelve of you are in the room, the door SLAMS shut, effectively cutting you off. There is no other exit in this room.

In the center, pale blue electricity seems to be coalescing, static clinging in the air, sending your skin a-tingle and your hair floating. A booming mechanical voice rings out from the ceiling:



The electricity seems to have a mind of its own, twisting and contorting like a mass of writhing snakes. It’s about the size of a small car, and when a more recognizable physical form begins to emerge, you find yourself staring at something you’ve never seen before. It is snakelike, a cobra hood emerging from the base of the neck, and it seems almost endless. Its skin is a luminous blue with white circuitry dotting it. There is no tail you can find.

Its monotonous, raspy voice call out to you.









Containment Unit Theta is attempting to subdue your group and place you each in the tubes you see on either side of you. You must fight to escape!

• Chibi Senshi/Cats (cat form): 40HP (generates numbers 1-8 for combat)
  
• Stage 1 Characters/Cats (human form): 50HP (generates numbers 1-10 for combat)
  
• Stage 2 Characters/PC Youma/Cats (senshi form): 60HP (generates numbers 11-20 for combat)
  
• Stage 3 Characters: 70HP (generates numbers 21-30 for combat)
  
• Stage 4 Characters: 80HP (generates numbers 31-40 for combat)

You may have sustained damage on the way to Theta. You DO NOT heal any damage (unless you were with characters who have the ability to heal). Please keep track of your health totals for this battle!

[The Rules]

Generate your stage’s number bracket as listed above! (for example, Eternal Sailor XYZ generates a random number between 21 and 30 for each post because they are Stage 3!)

• You may generate numbers THREE TIMES PER ROUND! If you’re busy and don’t have time to fill in a huge post to go with your numbers, that’s okay! Anything is better than nothing!
  
• Each round is when I’m able to check numbers - this will be 5AM PST, 12PM PST and 6PM PST.
  
• This fight will last roughly 48 hours, or until your Containment Unit is defeated.
  

[Special Rules!]

• 4th stage characters may use their royal ability ONCE during this combat. Both Leto and Camelot’s abilities reduce the amount of damage taken by their group by HALF for that round. (this damage reduction is for this event only - I know Leto’s ability is technically
  camouflage, but simplifying how it works makes things easier for the event! ICly, the Containment Unit would have a harder time detecting and attacking its intended target anyway.)
  
• Mauvians have unlimited kitty beams!
  
• You can ICly assume you’re using your most powerful attack. You do not have to count the number of times you’re technically able to use your magic.
  
• Characters with healing magic or abilities can opt to heal instead, generating their stage’s number bracket and using it on themselves or a teammate. You can only heal 3 times this combat. Make it count!
  
• If you are reduced to 0 HP, you will be contained!

Sailor Elara
HP: 47/50

There wasn't enough time to be catty before the dark door opened itself and allowed the group entry into the adjacent room. She had half a mind to spout off her name anyways, but the uneasy aura surrounding the other girl kept her tongue quiet. She looked like a senshi but she didn't feel like any of the other ones she'd met.

When the door slammed, she let out a small squeak of surprise. The loud voice from up above drowned out the noise (thankfully), soon producing... well, something she wasn't thankful for.

It didn't feel like a youma but she was still new to the super hero gig, so what did she know? There wasn't time to think - there was only time to attack!

Raising her hands up, she shouted, "Slime Squirt!"

If contact is made, whatever surface was hit (3ft x 3ft radius) is now covered in a gelatinous inedible goop that keeps the victim stuck within the mess. Okay, well... that didn't go as well as she'd hoped.

The slime seemed to barely have any effect on the giant monster, which was frustrating and a little bit humiliating, if she was being perfectly honest with herself.

Taking a deep breath, she re-positioned her hands a second time and shouted out even louder, "SLIME SQUIRT!"

Super Sailor Ananke - 52/60HP 2/3

After a long trek up the stairs stumbling a little bit here and there trying to keep in sync with her partner across the way she Ananke looked a little frazzled. Standing close to Dubhe her eyes widened at the snake that had appeared. Quickly it seemed like people were scattering to take down the creature Ananke just kept close to Dubhe. When a stray lighting seemed to head their way, she seemed to suddenly become extremely determined.

“Ananke Portal.” The red and orange energy swirled as the attack was absorbed and with a wave of her hands she opened a portal closer to it sending its energy back at it. “I’m going to say something I’ve never said before! Mr. Snake! You’ve made me so… so… peeved!” She said with her arms flinging down at her sides.
