iwanttobeasleep Can people please stop referring to real gay relationships as slash? They're homosexual relationships. Calling them slash, a term reserved for fanfiction and stuff like that, is really insulting. If Ledger and Gyllenhal are boinking, it isn't slash, it's gay sex. Please, please, please stop. Anyway, people don't like it because RPS involves real people who are not gay. That's why it's called real person (real person=Orlando Bloom, if he's pretending to be Legolas it's not considered real person) slash. A lot of people think that putting someone not only into a relationship they aren't part of but changing their sexuality for it is wrong. I mean, could you imagine coming across a story about you boinking someone you aren't, who is the same/opposite (depending on your orientation) on the web? I know I wouldn't be happy if someone wrote about me being straight. Amen to that!! 3nodding

Me personally like RSP. I have family members who are gay and I love them just the same. I dont quite understand those people who like Yaoi but dont like RPS, I think they're retarded.

That depends; if it's in text-format, without pictures, I don't care if they're real or not.
But when it comes to doujins and the likes, i prefer them to be manga/cartoon/whatever.

I think real guys are better becuase I dunno why...They just are. But I like all Yaoi. I'm not like,"OMFG!! heart L00k @ th0s3 2 guys 0v3r th3r3!! I b3t th3y'r3 GAY!!" I'm not like that at all.
I just make a quiet comment to whoever I'm with that the two guys over there are standing mighty close to one another. Then my friend bursts out laughing and the guys look at us. And it turns out they're NOT gay, 'cause here comes their girlfriends from the bathroom. gonk

If they are happy, let people be happy is all I have to say. As long as I am never involved with anyone's love life I'll be fine. I just don't want to know what the hell you are doing behind closed doors. (Noone probably said anything but I'm just stating a fact) sweatdrop

personally i think its because people hate people that are different and things that are different, no-body can be arssed to actually see some so they take other peoples word on things, think why somemany dislike it, but at the end of the day i think that if people ain't got nothing nice to say then they shouldn't say anything at all (i think i just conterdicted myself there.....oh well lol) To be honiset i htink it really cute when guys kiss......I don'tk now wh y i just do

The only differeance is one is animated, and animation tends to be more pleasing to the eye because it has no flaws.

Artie Ficial It's something that's always confused me and I've never really found out the answer. Even in this guild plenty of people say stuff like, "real gay boys? ewww!" I don't really get it. It seems to me that these people are being really hypocritical/homophobic to like yaoi and not slash with real people. I understand that some of it is just personal preference, but being gay, I don't really understand how people can think that way. o__o Can anyone offer some kind of explanation or whatever? I believe part of it is the way many countries were formed w/ "puritan" ideals and many people still drag those with them. Another part is that while in most yaoi you see it's two very pretty boys but it is not always that way in real life. Yes there is some hard-core "real men" yaoi out there, you just hafta look. But I think that many people think it is ok when the two boys look perfect, instead of when they actually look as if they are natural born, not really the greatest looking things in the world, people.

I don't think there's anything wrong with two real boys going at it. That's hot too. As long as it's NOT porn. I hate porn. Boyxboy, boyxgirl, girlxgirl, either way, I don't like porn. Anyway. It's not less hot watching two boys than two anime guys.

And if you like to read manga and stuff it's even rarer. And if someone wrote a story about me I'd be honored, and then laugh and laugh. I also agree with the 'to each their own' thing. It's all about preference.

What I don't like is Celebrity RPS. I think its kind of creepy and weird. I'm not enitrely clear on the definition of "real people" though. Is it actually existent people, or do people who are acted by real people count too?
