Ren nodded at Fanya's comment about the rain, though he wasn't too concerned himself. Besides, they would likely need to get used to it, living so close to the ocean. Though... the waves seemed to be getting rougher along with the rain. That may not be a good sign.
"Are... are the waves harsher than when we arrived?" Admittedly, he wondered if he could use that as an excuse to leave early....
The male turned his attention back to the gathering just in time to see the goddess hand a crown over to one of the Lords in the midst of it all, and he curled his ears back in curiosity and exasperation at it. He had a feeling that that one would lord that crown over others.
But the crown was certainly an interesting little trinket, as were the tail rings. He would like to examine them for himself someday.... Though perhaps not under the eye of so many people.

The wind was blowing a lot harder now and with that the water was a lot more intense. Tirion squinted looking in to the direction the wind was blowing getting splashed in the face in the process of doing this. The weather was starting to get worse and on such a joyous occasion. "By gods." His tone was almost mocking," Seems like a storm might beat us to the food before we get to taste it. Lets hurry before everything gets too soggy." What was he saying. Even if the food had gotten to soggy he still would have eaten it. Tirion had started off towards the food. Niite couldn't help but be amused by the male seagull. He sure was having a lot of fun in the rain. The lioness almost envied the child like delight this gull was having and was half tempted to join him except the guarded part of her self prevented her from doing so. She was one of the High Chevaliers and had a reputation to maintain in front of so many lions of the pride. Looking over she noticed a familiar sparkly coated female. Her duel colored eyes squinted in the rain to get a better look to see Fannar off in the distance. "If you'll excuse me.." She didn't wait for a reply. Niite was off in a second to go see her adopted sister and share with her in the joy. It didn't look like Fannar was having an easy time. "Hey Fannar!" Niite was loud when she cried out to her sister. "I think so.." Fanya looked thoughtful about the waves. The winds and the rain also seemed much more extreme from when the lions had originally gathered. "But hey! Lets go over there with the crowd of lions. That one just got a crown! I want a crown." He was half joking because in all seriousness, if offered, Fanya would accept a crown. His youth showed in his eagerness to obtain a trinket. "Seriously guys, lets go get the swag~"

SOME BAD WEATHER AHEAD
ROLLING IS OPTIONAL but also rolling a reaction is so much more fun than deciding one. If you are roleplaying more than one character you may either roll a dice for all of them (please be sure to tell us who you are rolling for some where in the post with each dice) OR you can use one dice to represent all characters reactions if you're lazy. If your character opts to go to the Caverns the rp is not over unless you choose for it to be over for your characters. Your character can sit on the side lines OR explore on their own adventure ect ect.
1-2: The rain is now a down pour. The wind is uncomfortably strong and the waves are crashing hard on the rocks. There is a gentle roar of thunder on the horizon.
xxxxxxx→ Roll a 6 sided Dice | 1 - 5 your lion is able to tough out the weather. 6 your lion isn't having it and heads back to the caverns.
3-8: The rain is now a down pour. The wind is uncomfortably strong and the waves are crashing hard on the rocks. A loud of thunder is close by along with bright flashes of lightening in the distance.

9 - 10: The rain is now a down pour. The wind is uncomfortably strong and the waves are crashing hard on the rocks. Thunder is right on top of you and the sounds are more than enough to make a grown lion jump. There are bright flashes of lightening close by threatening to enter the prides gathering at any moment. This seems very dangerous.

gaia_diamond This ORP is still very much joinable. Don't be intimidated by this roll. You may assume your lions been attending the gathering the whole time if its easier.

The rain began to really pour and the skies opened up and got angry. Fannar lifted her nose up to the heavens, getting completely drenched and getting up to go back into the caves. A little water didn't bother her, but this was a bit much. It took a moment before she heard her name and peered through the downpour. At another flash of lightning, and she spotted a familiar coat. A shy smile came to those silver eyes, and the blue lioness took a few steps forward to meet her sister. "Hey. How uh...How are you enjoying yourself?" She asked bashfully, "We could...have better weather."

((rolling first for Niite'Manu......I guess she's not having it right now with the rain x DD)) Her sister greeted her warmly and that was all Niite could have asked for. Her heart was a swell but this weather was miserable. "You're damn right the weather could be better," While the words were a little harsh her tone was soft and loving to her sister. The rain was uncomfortable and Niite was one hundred and ten percent sure she did not want to be wet around electricity shooting out of the skies. "I think I've had enough celebration. Lets go back and find a nice dry cavern where we won't get struck by lightening," She huffed. If any one on the Chevaliers made fun of her for ducking out a little early she'd prove to them just why she was a High Chevalier and it wouldn't be pretty. Faun would disapprove she was sure. Turning towards the Caverns Niite began to pad off before stopping for a moment to turn to Fannar, "Well... Lets go." She motioned with her head towards the caverns.

Fannar followed after her sister, her fur sticking to her body in the downpour. She was grateful to get into one of the caverns and shook herself, some fur sticking up in odd directions. She huffed and found somewhere to lie down, licking at her wet paws. "Goodness. That storm is really picking up. I don't think many will be out for much longer."

The two males got rings and she got a crown, she felt a little odd getting a head trinket but put it on none the less. "Well that was quite nice of them." She commented about the trinkets have been given out towards everyone. Vas heard his voice called and noted the peculiar crown Lhun was given. "Oh... that is..." He wasn't sure the exact words he wanted to use for it. It was fascinating, unique, intriguing? It was everything. "I'll be over here." She wasn't about to get that close to inspect, she liked to have her own space and didn't want to get into anyone's bubble on purpose. The weather however decided to pick up. Option 9-10: (2 they're staying put, balls of steel) Vas glanced towards the sudden downpour and glanced over at the male. "Are you going to head to the caverns? I think I'll be staying here for a little bit longer. It's not THAT bad yet right?" Who was he kidding, it was pretty rough but Dior seemed content in her place and was just enjoying life it seemed.

It hadn’t escaped the healers notice that the rain was starting to come down harder. She actually liked the rain though her coat was now decidedly drenched. She looked at Metzl and shook rain from her eyes “Ao’Kemuri and this is Kamit he’s my assistant, pack horse, nanny goat.. and pretty much everything else in between.” She paused for a moment and shook her fur all over though this may have been a mistake as the weatherproof layer cause by her coat slackening was undone by her shake and she could feel the wet all the way down to her skin.“We should go back to the caverns. You can keep chatting there.” The gazelle grumbled stamping his hooves in an irritated manner. “Can we at least move out of the wind.” He shook his head in an irritated manner, his fur certainly wasn’t as thick as the lionesses and the cold wind tat rushed past his antlers was leaving him decidedly unamused. The blue lioness frowned, she wanted to stay out, just for a little longer. “Just a bit more Kamit, though, I think you may have a point.” She looked at Metzl and tilted her head “Do you have the sight? I have heard there are lions that can predict when bad things will happen.”

Renshu glanced uncertainly between Fanya and the rest of the crowd. He did want some of those rings... but he also didn't want to go right into the heart of the action. Was it worth it? He wasn't sure....
While he was debating, the rain and wind seemed to pick up even more. With a cringe, the lion greatly considered fleeing at this point. Surely they wouldn't continue the gathering with such weather? And it was true that some were moving to the opening of the caverns. Perhaps they would continue the celebrations there?
He... wasn't so sure about moving in there now. If going into the fray to get trinkets was bad, then being clumped together with a bunch of lions in close contact was worse.
Maybe he would wait to see what his companions did. He was fine where he was at the moment anyway.

Kujitia and Paya finished giving out the trinkets just before the weather picked up again. Kujitia oddly didn't mind too much - she knew she could pull off the wet look ravishingly.
Paya just thought it was way more fun, and seemed to 'dance' about in the rain....though the thunder seemed to disturb her a little. A loud boom did cause the lioness to hit the ground, covering her ears. But then she laughed, albeit a bit nervously, at herself. She looked around to see if anyone had noticed. Nope, she wasn't afraid of big booming thunder, not at all! Haha...ha....
All in all, Kujitia was satisfied that everyone seemed satisfied with their gifts, and shared the sentiment of getting to the food before the rain could make it too soggy. Juicy was one thing, soggy was tooootally another all together - yuck!

Evangeline was going to say more to her daughter and the other who was with them, Kito, but when the weather picked up, it was a bit more than she could take, she politely excused herself.
"We will catch up more later, Thu dear. Be safe, and have a good time. I think I'm going to go weather the....weather in drier places," she chuckled softly, the later sentiment meant for both Thu and Kito.

Relief was felt the moment Niite stepped out of the down pour and in to the cavern. She shivered some and shook the rest of the water from her pelt. "You're telling me... but we should be safer here. That lightening.. Nah uh . Not gonna risk THAT." She continued to shake her pelt dry. ((Rolling for Nilak, Meztli, Fanya but not Faun'Lome. He's going to turn back around and make sure the prides okay > >
Nilak: Heading back | Meztli: Bravely staying put | Fanya: Heading back))The rain was pretty bad but it was the thrash of lightening that really had Nilak uneasy. He'd just placed a very well crafted tail ring on his tail and he wasn't about to take it off in order to avoid getting struck by lightening. There was a very readable frown on his face as he was very clearly weighing the options. There was a flash of lightening in the sky and the blue lion took a step back in shock. He looked to the goddess and her bouncy companion Paya and back to Vas and Dior. None of them seemed all that bothered by the storm. Another flash in the sky and before Nilak could even say anything he felt himself turning and heading aback to the caverns. "I'm sorry... It's too much for me right now. I'll be with the beautiful quartz in the caverns if you need me." He hated that he wussed out. Both Ao’Kemuri and Kamit were super amusing and Meztli had a hard time not chuckling. The two were bickering in a way that was endearing and there was something touching about it. The storm in all seriousness was getting much worse but surprisingly Meztli didn't seem to mind even with the skys lighting up from the lightening and the loud crashing sounds of thunder that followed. The lioness felt unmovable. "O-oh the sight? Is it that obvious?" Meztli had a coy look about her features. Renshu didn't have to say anything because Fanya was seriously displeased with how bad the weather had gotten. He didn't mind a little bit of water but now that there was lightening he was sure he didn't want to be exposed to the elements. "I think I've had enough," He frowned deeply. "I'm heading back to the caverns. You guys can come along if you like." He already had his back turned in favor of heading back towards the caverns to get out of this water. Fanya was not ashamed to admit he was beat. There was nothing wrong with not wanting to be super wet or super electrocuted. ((Not quoting anyone but anyone is free to interact with Faun if they would like)) Faun had already made it back to his den at the request of some respected opinions. He was about to close his eyes and wade off to sleep when he heard the first loud crash. It echoed through the caverns halls and softly grumbled as it faded away. The weather had been unpleasant when he decided to head back and get some rest but he could only assume that the weather must have gotten even worse. The high lord wasted no time to get to his feet and head out of the den and in to the storm outside. Whistling of wind greeted him along with a splash to the face of water. Yes, a lot of members of the pride had come from another pride where they were used to being almost perpetually wet but this was another level even for Faun. Quick to investigate, he was already well on his way in to the crowd to check on the prides members.

Renshu watched with unsure eyes as Fanya left for shelter, wondering yet again if maybe he should be following, but in the end, he chose to stay put. The weather was uncomfortable, but at least it kept others from trying to bring up conversation with him. Plus, admittedly, he was getting used to the feeling of wet fur, and the thunder was fun to listen to.
He knew that he would have to migrate in soon though. For as much as he wanted to avoid others, he knew better than to risk getting sick.
He sighed, though it was silent compared to the rush of wind and water around him. He knew that he needed to work on his communication skills, especially since he'd found a pride that he legitimately wanted to be in. He would need to work on it.

"It's alright, We shall be along soon." Dior said with a warm smile towards the male as she glanced back towards the sky. While the weather was a little concerning she wasn't overly bothered by it.
While Vas was also a little concerned he decided he was going to stay a little while longer, just for Dior. "We promise to stay safe." He added back.

The End Of The Celebration |
This is basically the end of the celebration. You may continue to rp in this ORP if you want to get your post count up but only posts that were posted before this post will count towards the prize.
Weather |
The lightening at the very least has passed over only leaving a soft echoes of thunder in the distance. It seems that the rain has thinned as well but has not fully left the area and does not seem like it will be leaving any time soon. The weather seems to be stabilized but still very grim and very rainy.
This is the start of the lands rainy season where it is even harder to get to the heart of the pride with out knowing what you're doing. Rocks are much more slick making it very hard for an outsider to get to the heart of the pride.
There are days that it may not rain but the majority of the days during this time period it can be assumed that it did rain. Some days are worse than others.
What This Means |
Joining will be closed to new members starting in March and will reopen in June when the weather is nicer. The combination of Chevaliers on patrol and the weather makes it doubly hard for an outsider to join.
Adult and adolescence staged members should be able to navigate the slick outside surroundings just fine and make it to the borders and back with little to no difficulty especially if your character is a Chevalier. This means if you rp with an outsider it can not be with in the prides borders during this season. Border rp is A-Okay though.
These lions should be used to being a little damp so it shouldn't bother them too much plus there are the winding underground caverns filled with quiet dry places. (perfect for studying)
