Niraya tries to keep Jasper back. "No no. there is no need to do any of that. I'm fine. i will be just fine." She didn't want to talk about her arm being mechanical. Once Jasper backs off she will sigh. "so what now? they annouced us to get here. but said nothing about after. were we suppose to get back to school?"

The cold mountain air snapped quietly, growing colder as the wind shifted, just a cooler breeze to those at the temple. Gradually, the sky darkened and soon, what might've once been distant rumbles grew closer, louder, the smell of moisture in the air. Rain was close behind, large, heavy drops that kicked up the dirt in the soft ground outside the stone temple. and soon, the stone grew slick, the dirt a soft quagmire of mud. Students who had been milling about shrunk back into the temple's somewhat sheltered roof, seeking to get out of the rain. Lukas kept his post near the entrance. Wouldn't do to get boxed in, never know what old man Ironwood would throw at them in the middle of a - KRAKOOOOM!. A Jagged sizzling bolt struck earth not thirty yards from the temple entrance. Ears still ringing from the thunderclap, Lukas went to steady himself, hand braced against the stone. Through his thick boots, he felt the ground quiver beneath the stone. " Shhh!" he silenced some of the other students, who were still squealing about the lightning strike.
Axes in hand, posture at the ready, water from the rain streaming down his cheeks, his cool brown eyes surveyed the landscape around the temple. For a moment, only the sound of falling rain on stone, and the distant rumble of thunder broke the silence, but he dared not loose a breath. Then in sudden upheaval, the ground ahead of the temple churned, and mud gave way to an exposed tunnel, a large one, and from the depths emerged two enormous death stalkers. Their size alone made them ancient, Grimm didn't live long enough to become that big on the Ridgeway, so these had been kept to the depths of the mountains for a long time. There we screams and shouts as the student body recognized the peril, the bigger the grimm, the tougher they'd be to kill, and against something as large as these two, not all would make it out unharmed. The Stalkers focused in on the sudden source of negative emotion, the fear and panic, and chittering to each other, began to advance on the temple.
His mind was made up then and there, being the closest to the entrance, He was in the best position to cover ground, and engage the grimm, and hoped to draw their attention away, and lead them back across the mountains. Cause enough hurt, and he could easily do it. Even as he took that first step forward into a run, his brown eyes crackled with white hot energy, as he drew on his Semblance. He crossed the intervening yards in seconds like a bolt from the blue. Axes knocked aside the the first claw to reach for him, and he kept running, ducking under the face of the first Stalker and swingingaxes up, one into the soft leg joints on either side. With a grunt, he wrenched his twins free, and kept going, hacking at whatever limbs he could reach. He passed out from under the first, which was already turning to follow, and using a huge burst of speed launched himself beneath the other. he twisted mid air, and unloaded three rounds each, from Magnis and Modis into the soft under belly, this should be enough sting to draw attention. Using Magnis' blade as an anchor in the body of the second death stalker, he twisted hard, and righted himself again, and dug his boots into the soft mud as he slid to a stop.
With eyes still crackling, he roared out his challenge to the grimm. "COME ON! I AM WHAT YOU WANT! TAKE ME, OR ILL BURY MY AXES IN YOUR EYES AND BURN YOU WITH FIRE!" He roared, two orange sets of eight eyes, now following him. He unloaded the remaining three rounds in each axe, to encourage pursuit, and then reloading, he began to move backwards. He dared not turn and run, for the grimm may decide to be done with him, so he stalked backwards, foot by foot, Eyes glowering, staring down the barrel without a quiver or flinch. As he moved, he slotted new rounds into the cylinders. Once fully loaded, He planted his feet, and roared once again " COME ON THEN!"

spaceWhen Niraya insisted she was fine, Jasper still had a hard time backing off, but she did. She looked at her friend with concern for a moment before the sky opened up. The blonde looked up and a few raindrops hit her face, cooling her skin that was still warm from running. After a few seconds, though, the rain was in a full on downpour. The group moved into the temple for cover, but Lukas still meandered near the front, presumably keeping watch. She didn't blame him, Grimm were less easy to track in the rain, and they liked to use it for sneak attacks. Jasper paced around in the temple, bow in hand just in case she wound up needing it. A crack of lightening exploded not thirty feet outside of the temple's entrance, causing Jasper to jump. She walked up to Lukas and looked up at him when she shushed the group. After a moment of deafening silence, the ground in front of the temple began to quake and opened up like a mouth, two Deathstalkers emerging from the ground.
spaceBefore she could react, Lukas took off running towards the creatures. He was eager to risk his life, huh? Jasper looked back at Niraya and Blitz, silently telling them it was time to fight, before she ran out from the temple with her bow at the ready. She gained some distance as Lukas distracted the large, ancient beasts. Each time he swung his axes and they sunk into the Deathstalker's limbs, Jasper fired an arrow at the weakened points, ice dust and burn dust dealing more damage. When Lukas roared his battlecry Jasper turned her attention to him. She could admire his tenacity and his strength; it made her want to get stronger, as well. She notched four arrows on her long bow and held it horizontally, sending the arrows flying towards one of the Deathstalker's gold-tipped tails. Two arrows stuck into the soft spot and brought a loud cry from the beast.
spaceJasper winced at the loud noise the Deathstalker let out. It was almost as loud as the thunder. She ran again until she could see Lukas more clearly, "Lukas!" The blonde kept her distance as she called out to him, "I'll follow your lead! If you can cut off one of its legs, I can freeze it and throw its balance!" As she spoke again, the Grimm she hurled her arrows at turned its attention to her, moving in her direction. Jasper pulled out two burn dust arrows and let them fly towards the creature. It was able to block one arrow, but the other made it through and sunk directly into one of its eyes, causing it to pause moving for a brief moment. Jasper took the time to change her location, her eyes never leaving the battlefield as she created more space between her and the Grimm.

He wouldn’t budge an inch,not minding the rain and continuing to scan the area for hostiles,only reacting when the thunderclap sounded,by covering the ear that was closest to where it went off.When the massive tunnel opened up and the deathstalkers crawled out He gave a short sigh like”I knew something was gonna go wrong” before rushing towards the deathstalkers,the saw blades spinning and the boosters on his gauntlets and greaves charging up.
He ran in front of the Grimm as one struck its tail towards Lukas,intercepting it and kicking it aside before pushing off into a backflip and loosing the booster on one greave,slamming that deathclaws tail downwards and standing on it,putting his hand on the edge of it and loosing to non-booster punches to weaken the shell,following those punches up with a charged one from the same hand,not quite breaking off the stinger but leaving it dangling from the deathstalkers tail.He’d be thrown off as the deathstalker whipped its tail,landing on his back some distance away,rolling backwards onto his feet.

Niraya sighs relieved jasper backed off. she would need to tell her about her robotic augments later so she didn't have to worry so much. She flinches when she feels rain on her head. She looks up to see it was raining. "Rain!...I prefer snow." The other students went to seek shelter Niraya just stands there not too worried about the rain. When the lightning struck she was immediately worried and got close to the structures. the loud bang was louder for her because of her ears.
Everything was relatively calm for a storm. it didn't take long for that to change. two death stalkers showed up. Lukas, Jasper, and blitz went after one. the other one come for the shelter. may of the students just panic and hide. a couple charge in to fight. Niraya not wanting to be useless leaps onto its back and lets go of her symblance. very quickly the rain in the area began to land on the ground and form ice. Niraya was going to freeze this death stalker. She pulls out her sword and sinks it deep into the death stalkers back so she could stay on it.
The deathstalker didn't like that the air getting colder and colder. Soon the sleet became hail ice chunks raining down everywhere. Niraya on its back it was doing everything it could to get her off. but due to the cold its moves slower than the other one. Niraya was hanging on for life. the students that were fighting had to back off because of the hail and the sheer cold coming from Niraya's Symblance.

The others, Blitz, Jasper, Niraya, had all leapt into action behind him. One Death stalker had remained fixated on him, and the other had turned once again to the shelter of the temple. Niraya, injured though she was, or damaged, whichever term was more appropriate had engaged it, Her Semblance dropping the ambient temperature, pelting the creature with ice, and making it's movements sluggish. Blitz had inflicted some fairly serious damage, nearly removing the sting from the one he and Jasper had already engaged, before being flung away. Jasper called for Lukas to remove one of the beasts legs, a task not made easy by the chitinous armor. He nodded. " Blitz! Help Niraya, Keep the blasted thing out of the temple!"
He clapped the axes together, the sound of metal axehead on metal a loud clatter, bringing his own target's attention to himself once more. He darted forward, Twins out in front, reports ringing loud and clear amidst the distant rumbles. As he approached the beast, he feinted right, ducking under a swiping claw, only just a hair too slow, blood free flowing from an angry gash above his left eye. Despite the injury, his eyes still crackled with the white energy that marked his Active Semblance, and he never stopped moving. With a mighty toss, he hurled Magnis from his left hand, pleased as it sank deep into a leg joint, mid way through the set, halfway along the length of the stalker. That'd be the one he'd remove.
As he dashed past it, he turned, pivoting on a heel like a whipcrack, and sunk Modis into the opposite side of the joint. The grimm chittered it's annoyance at the pain. He dropped to one knee, wrenched his weapons free, and then brought them up in a sweeping arc from both directions, and neatly bisected the leg, which fell to the ground, and almost immediately began to dissipate. Switching back to pistols, he jammed the barrels of his weapons into the hole, and pulled the triggers, twin .45 slugs burrowing deep into the unarmored flesh. He turned to call to Jasper."NOW, Hit it now!" Then, with out warning, the grimm shifted its weight and body slammed Lukas, who dropped his axes and was knocked back perhaps fifty feet, arm pressed against his chest, winded.
He stumbled to a knee, breathing ragged, but the crackle in his eyes grew more pronounced, as his semblance fought off the pain, and fatigue. Unarmed save for Jarngreipr, He dashed forward once again, ready to engage with just his metal clad fists till he could recover Magnis and Modis, lying forlorn in the mud.

spaceJasper watched at Lukas dashed at the beast again, its stinger nearly severed from Blitz's previous barrage. The Deathstalker moved to slam its claw against Lukas, but he dodged in time to only sustain a rather minor cut. At least from here, there didn't seem to be much blood. The rain could have been masking some of it, though. After another few crucial blows from Lukas to the Deathstalker, Jasper awaited the other's readied call to action. Her eyes quickly scanned the other side of the battlefield, watching as Niraya continued her freezing assault on the beast. She was confident that Niraya and Blitz could take out that Deathstalker, but the archer was still worried. Turning her attention back to her own battle, she wiped the wet hair from her eyes, focusing on Lukas. She notched two ice-tipped arrows and aimed, but then the Grimm reacting wildly and body clammed her teammate, forcing him back about fifty feet. The archer didn't stop to ask if he was alright, though, and was more worried about stopping the Grimm. She let her arrows go and they both connected with the severed nub of a limb, a large ice block forming on it and causing the Deathstalker to tumble on its side. As it struggled to get up again, the rest of its limbs wiggling wildly, Jasper drew a burn-tipped arrow and aimed at the Grimm's already damaged tail. When she fired, however, it used a claw to deflect the attack.
space"Lukas!" She called to her teammate when she saw him running at the beast again, armed only with his strong leather gloves. Was he crazy? His eyes were glowing, and she couldn't help but wonder if he might be using his semblance. "I'm going for another eye!" She shouted as she ran around to the other side of the Grimm, making sure her teammate knew her intentions so he could plan accordingly. The blonde fired a series of arrows at the Deathstalker, trying to distract it as it still tried to balance with less legs. When she fired one last arrow, it sunk into one of the bigger eyes decorating the beast's flat face. At the same time, the Grimm slammed its frozen limb to the ground, shattering it and sending shards at Jasper. She took a burn arrow in her hand and used that to melt/deflect some of the ice chunks, but was ultimately hit in the gut and sent flying past the running Lukas, landing where he had just moment ago.

He would quickly turn his head in Niraya and the other death stalkers direction,taking his shotgun off his back and running towards them,loading in explosive slugs.When he got close he'd notice the drastic decrease in temperature,pausing to take a step back and then forward again,figuring he should stay out of the colder area,circling the Grimm and firing shells into it's tail,mainly just forcing the tail to move a certain way.

Niraya was doing her best to stay on the deathstalker. She was at least buying the others time to leave. She hears gunshots a lot closer this time and she looks over to see Blitz shooting at the deathstalker she was on. She focuses a bit and lowers the area her symblance affected still close enough to slow the grimm but atleast Blitz could get in a bit closer to more effectivly use his shotgun. "Aim for the joints there is where the armor is thinnest!"

Lukas' Semblance was dumping pure energy from his aura into his muscles, staving off pain, and fatigue, and bolstering his strength to profound levels, making every blow one packed with devastating force. He closed the distance between himself and the injured stalker, and with a thundering haymaker, bird-legged a spindly leg, the joint now bent grotesquely outwards, twitching slightly as the beasts nerves fought the unnatural contortion of the weakened joint. Lukas didn't stop there, with both hands, he grasped the broken leg and pulled with all his strength, tearing the lower part of the leg from the damaged joint, with a sucking, tearing sound as the sinew stretched and then gave out.
He rolled back from the grimm, and then leapt up onto its back, Leg in hand. A few steps brought him to the face, angry orange orbs glaring balefully up at him. One less now, as he drove the pointed end of the leg into on of the beast's eyes, and hammered it home with a balled fist of metal. The death stalker squealed its displeasure, as Lukas leapt from the grimm, to the mud once more, and recovered his axes. He wasted no time digging right back into the fight, axes aimed at cleaving through the segmented leg joints. Furious, and losing limbs, the Death Stalker twisted, and thrust its nearly severed stinger at Lukas, who side stepped, and with whirling axes removed the rest of the tissue holding it to the tail. Rain and ichor spilled over his boots, as he back pedaled, loading rounds into his weapons, this time the standard .45 slugs being replaced with lightning based dust cartridges.
The Cylinders Whrrrrretd as they were slapped back into place and spun, and then a cacophony of squeaking, squealing lighting bolts, and thunderous reports as the twins opened up a hailstorm of lighting infused lead, peppering the Death Stalker, which now writhed in pain, and frustration, as it could not easily balance itself on the missing and broken limbs. It was slow work, but the creature would not be able to survive the sustained onslaught from both himself and Jasper.

spaceJasper scrambled to her knees as soon as she hit the ground, mud digging up under her nails as she grabbed the ground to slow herself. Her eyes scanned the battleground for Lukas. She watched as he drove his fists into the beast, working to mangle and ultimately rip off one of its legs. Jasper sucked a sharp hiss through her teeth at the sound it created. Her eyes fell to her quiver and she quickly counted her arrows; nineteen left, five with only wind dust embedded in them. They had to play this smart. Even with Lukas' brute force and incredibly offensive tactics, that alone wouldn't win them this battle. She fired one, then two ice dust arrows in succession, large crystals forming on the beasts' newly gained stump. It stumbled and fought to regain its balance again, allowing Lukas the window to slam its own leg into its eye. When Lukas jumped off of the Grimm, she let loose a burn dust arrow at the afflicted eye, the distracted beast unable to block it. Red and orange burst from the spot and another pained squeal rose from the beast. At the same time, Lukas had taken the initiative to completely sever the Deathstalker's stinger.
space"We got this. We can do this." She spoke breathlessly as watched Lukas begin to reload. To aid in this, she fired three wind dust arrows at the Grimm, their speed twice that of her others. They successfully sunk into the tender spot formed by the newly removed stinger, arrows plunging nearly all the way into the sensitive flesh, distracting the beast from Lukas long enough for the viking to begin his next round of vicious battling. Booming bursts and bright flashes followed as Lukas attacked the beast again. Jasper to this moment to located Blitz and Niraya, still holding their own with their Deathstalker. "Blitz!" she called out to get the man's attention as she sent out a series of ice arrows past him, building a set of stairs near the Grimm's back joints so he could climb them. One of the arrows she fired, however, landed at their Deathstalker's front feet, making the wet ground beneath it freeze up, "Its front feet are frozen to the ground, Niraya! I don't know how long it will hold, so you guys have to move fast!" She shouted from her position on the ground, That was all she could do to help them from where she was, but Jasper figured Blitz and Niraya would have an easier time beating a semi-frozen opponent.
spaceNow, she turned her attention back to Lukas and their Deathstalker. He was still steadily pummeling the beast with fists and dust. She wondered how he would fare after such a huge burst of energy, silently wondering about his semblance again. Maybe it was a sort of booster? At the moment, she noticed the Grimm's masked face begin to shatter and break away under the force of Lukas' blunt hits. One of the creature's few working limbs struck out at her teammate, but she fired a wind dust arrow at the limb, shooting the lower quarter off and defending him from the assault. Jasper had seven arrows left, now. She pulled out her only lightning dust arrow, along with her final wind dust arrow. The archer ripped a loose bit of rope from her quiver and quickly tied the two arrows together, then notched it and let them fly through the air. It connected with an exposed part of the beast's face with a loud crack and a bright, yellow flash. Two ice arrows, one burn, and two without dust was what she was left with, now. Her eyes traveled to Lukas, watching as he moved to attack the creature again.

The Deathlike mask that composed the face of the grimm was fragmented and shattering from all the abuse, numerous eyes blinded, legs crippled or missing, Stinger removed, and the beast was full of holes. It was time to put an end to the beast, and as the air above their heads crackled with more lightning, Lukas' battle grim face suddenly turned up with a grin. He wrenched Magnis from the creatures face, and it tiredly tried to jab with it's stingless tail. Lukas grabbed the stump and clambered on to it, legs bunched under him, coiled like springs, waiting for the apex of the tail's return to normal height. At the apex of the climb, Lukas used the fast moving tail like a slingshot and propelled himself with as much strength as his semblance would muster, hurtling into the cloud cloaked sky.
He passed through the puffs of mist, through, rain and wind and rumble, till his ascent slowed, and for him, Semblance coursing, time seemed to slow. He thrust each axe over his head, and discharged the last lightning enchanced round in each cylinder. As casings rained to earth, the world around him flashed, and lightning struck, drawn by the charge of what he had released into the air, and the conductive metal of his axe heads. Hundreds of millions of volts raced down the axes, only to stop as they met the grounding elements in Jarngreipr. Had it not been for that one feature, He would have fried with the bolt, but now, he had two lightning charged axes, Energy coursing, Seething, and looking for a means to complete its circuit.
He twisted mid-air, to fall head first, to aim for his target, and fell like a bolt from the gods, electricity crackling trails in his wake. The fall seemed like an eternity but took only mere seconds. He had positioned himself directly over the battered Deathstalker, and when he neared his prey, he reached back, for a double over handed crushing strike against his target. When crackling axe heads met Grimm chitin, they erupted, unleashing those millions of volts into the giant scorpion, who, soaked wet by rain, and standing in mud was not grounded. The shriek the Deathstalker emit as the volts seared through its body was ghastly, but when the energy dissipated, so did the grimm, leaving nothing but a ragged breathing young man, spattered with mud, blood, water and ichor, whose attention had already turned to the next stalker.

He'd slide to a stop infront of the stairs of ice made by Jasper,doing something he's hardly done in combat...make a plan,he'd take a moment to process the current situation.Once finished he took out a normal slug and flipped his showtgun off his back,loading the shell and running up the stairs,he would fire at the top of the stairs,shattering the final steps into two sharp icicles,throwing his shotgun to the side and grabbing the shards before leaping onto the deathstalkers tail,the Grimm would nearly immediately react to him landing on its tail,quickly flicking it,launching Blitz into the air with the shards still in hand.
With two quick movements he would throw the shards into the areas between the grimms arm joints with great force,the shards penetrating easily due to the lack in armor to allow mobility in that area,using a small boost from his greaves to flip himself over so he was facing down at the Grimm,a light flaming blue platform appearing at his feet.He'd kick off the sudden platform with his elbows out to his side,firing off the boosters propelling him downwards at the Grimm fist first,embedding his fist into its head and sending armor shards flying,not yet killing it meanwhile he'd have the booster on his other gauntlet charging up for a devastating punch.He wouldn't be very far away from Niraya,a huge smile on his face,evidently he was having fun.

Niraya was doing her best to stay on the grimm's back. with it rocking around like that was pretty hard. when Blitz's punch hit the grimm fragments of ice fall off of the creature from the impact. The rain was still falling and thanks to Niraya's Symblance it was still hailing on her target. She spots an opening and pulls her sword from the creature and with a swift flick upwards severaly wounds the connecting joint to the stinger. but not longer able to stablize herself she gets thrown off ballance and she falls between the creatures legs. Moving as quickly as she could he avoided the creatures legs trying to get back onto her feet.

The boy would raise his fist higher,the jet on his left gauntlet,building up force,Blitz determined to make this the kill blow.The designs on the gauntlet would be glowing a fiery orange,the weapon being pushed to its limits,meanwhile his other hand was still through the top of its head.He would yank his arm out of the deathstalkers skull,leaving a very clear target for his other fist,ready to take this deathstalker out.
He'd slam his fist into the opening he made with his other arm,not without delivering a nice little quip first "You shoulda stayed in your burrow 'cause I'm gonna put you six feet under!"On impact the grimms remaining shell would crack along the entirety of the creature,it beginning to dissipate and standing for a moment longer,before it's legs buckle and let the dead Grimm fall to the ground.He'd jump off its back and take a few steps away,enjoying the view.
