Joy easily fell back into her role as defender, and while Bert was making his preference of a more active role known to her, he seemed to be moderately pleased that he was being used as an actual weapon.

It took just one more instance for him to get into more of a defender's mentality, but when he did it was easy enough to get into the groove.
"Yeah, we got you," he echoed Joy's sentiment as he dashed and hacked away at any oncoming tendrils or appendages that were aimed at Seren.

She took a slow, deep breath, and then pulled her sword up,and back, before swinging in with a decently strong overhand chop to the nearest bit of the goddamn cloud. The cheering got a smirk out of him as he slashed away at more tendrils trying to make their way to Seren. During a brief pause he glanced over at the Sun, relieved to see that she really could handle her own in a fight, even if she had something of a slow start when they first got here.
"Just a little more," he called after cutting down more tendrils and attack puffs aimed for Seren.

"Yeah..." Was all she said, focused on the strange damn cloud beast. She waited a moment, and swung up, and managed to slice a small chunk of cloud off, as it seemed to retract before she managed to hit. Still, her eyes were glittering fiercely as she fought. After that hit, though, her charge faded, and the runes on Di's blade stopped glowing "I can keep attacking if you want, or one of you can take over, up to you guys..." She stated. "I'll take a few more whacks at it," he said as he jumped in and hacked away at some more tendrils and a chunk of the cloud. It was oddly satisfying to watch the thing really start to struggle to defend itself at this point.

If there wasn't something between those two, Joy would eat her headband. But seeing Seren's concern was for Rhys, well, she wasn't scared of a little pain if it meant getting this over and done with sooner.

Seren's concern, while touching, at the moment just got a grumble out of him as he jumped in again. "The fast we get this done, the sooner we can get home," he said after hacking another chunk out of the Cloud. Glancing over at Joy, who'd stepped up to attack for only the second time since the fight started, he asked, "You alright? I can pull back to defense if you need me to."

Seren tried not to roll her eyes, but switched to defending Joy, who'd moved up to attack. "Yeah, but if you're hospitalized again, you wont really get to enjoy that, will you?" Her concern was obvious, but she hoped he'd step back to defend, if it would still be needed. The cloud, as she smacked some crap coming after Joy, looked to her like it was having trouble staying solid. HP: 29/40 Defense: 4 Charge: 3/3 Boss HP: 11/100
