And of course, things appear to not go Ruth's way when the mount she didn't want in the first place understood that it was not wanted and wandered off.
It was back to getting a mount for Ruth. She hoped to find a better sort this time. And while a dog should be better than the weird furry s**t, Ruth's first words to it was "You're my b***h now."

But before the Death Hunter could begin her second attempt at breaking a minipet, the Sun Lead must have picked up on her less than kind intentions. Because here Hunter came to check up on the minipet itself and just as Ruth prepared to defend her methodology, it turns out the minipet was tamed already.
The blonde Death Hunter, mount properly leashed and following beside her, began to do surveillance under the guise of "familiarizing herself and her mount to their surroundings." But really what she wanted to do was see how tough the competition was in this jousting thing.
A match had just finished and once she managed to light up a new cigarette, she approached the recently-finished jousters to congratulate them. Sort of. Blowing smoke off to the side, she then turned to them and said, "Well, was it all worth it?" To follow up what she meant by it, she gestured to some of the other hunters trying to tame their mounts.
Andrew was currently mount-less considering that his ran off after the last bout. but, he grinned at Ruth.
"Yes. I'll be right back."

Paige looked at Ruth, then at her mount. That was a good question.
"Dunno. I'll let you know once I have a joust." She responded as she went to climb onto her mount. Which proved difficult as she stuck her hands out and felt around.
She touched something, and made a face. "That...feels gross...I think it's the leg."
Ruth gave Paige a snort of amusement, "Do you need a hand, too?" she joked, gesturing to Andrew, "'Scuse me, I gotta help out this loser." The word spoken had an odd note to it, like she wasn't entirely certain if it was an endearing insult or a genuine one.
The Death Hunter climbed onto her mount and urged it to head towards Andrew and his mount.

"I'm not a loser!" once his mount was up he got on and grabbed a sword. "I'm gonna knock you off that thing."
Well he tried to navigate towards her. he had a good line of fire but he wa knocked off somewhere in the middle of all that.

Ruth hadn't even been able to get a sword of her own before her mount decided to copy Andrew's and it bolted, knocking her off in the process. She lay there on the ground for a good several minutes, both unsurprised and angry. Instead, she took a long, long, long drag of her cigarette and let out a billow of smoke before sitting up.
"Yeah you totally are a loser and by extension made me one."

Chao had manged to drag the wolf mount away from the other hunters so that it would not bit them. Unfortunately that meant that she had become the target of the wolfs rage. The wolf screamed and howled at her before rearing up and slamming his paws on her, he than proceeded to continue to trample her for a while until she manged to dodge and get to her feet. Ow, was jousting really worth it?
After she manged to get back on her feet, Chao noticed that very aggressive wolf she had been trying to tame so she could just was gone. She couldn't find the stupid thing anywhere, hopefully it was not off attacking anyone else.
When Meara heard that there was jousting going on, jousting on top of apex mounts, she just had to head over to the training field to see it. The Hunter that was in charge of everything was large and loud but that didn't deter her in the slightest when she was encouraged to join in. A ribbon pulled out of her pocket lead to her hair getting tied back and out of the way then she went to grab a mount.
She ended up with a rather fluffy looking fox mount that she frankly found adorable, and she looked to the man in charge to what was next. Hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to tame since that was apparently what she had to do next according to the Hunter.

She had thought she was doing well, at very least not doing terrible at taming the wild mount. And then the adorable fluff fox sat down. And refused to get back up no matter what she tried. Trying to bribe it with food, pets, pleading, nothing worked and she was rather at a loss of what to do. At least until she spotted another Hunter pass by and Meara quickly tried to catch her attention. "Excuse me miss, cane I get a hand here? The Fluff seems to just want to sit there for now." She said with a friendly smile and a wave of her hand.
Hopefully the other Hunter would lend her a hand but if not then she supposed she could try and flag down someone else if need be.
Your mount suddenly sits on the ground and refuses to move, like a stubborn dog. Nothing you do will fix this, not without another hand. (OOC: You need to FLAG ANOTHER PLAYER to help you pull this mount forward. Quote them. If there's nobody to flag/ no players around/ quote zoobey! You don't need to wait for their rp reaction, just continue on after you've quoted, though it is encouraged they quote you back!) +10 tame points once flagged
