Kenna sat Kieran down gently before landing herself. She brushed out her hair since it was wind tossed and she looked back to Kieran."Well that was fun."Kenna smiled and then tuned her hears to listen around her. Thankfully she was able to shake off that teacher. But she should probably get to the dorms soon though. It was well after curfew.

Kieran took in every detail of the Academy and smiled a little. That smile soon faded when they landed, having memories to come flooding back to his mind. The building kind of reminded him of home and he hadn't had the best experience there. Everyone had always bullied and attacked him. At that time, he didn't understand that he was a halfbreed. Name calling wasn't the worst of what he went through. What got him the most was the people that tried to kill him. There were even some that would try to rip out his wings. No place was safe for him. "This place is....um.....interesting...."
Kenna nodded and turned to walk off."Yeah. Feel free to look around. As promised, once we got here, I won't bother you any more. I hope you at least you take time to rest before you head off somewhere."Kenna was sure that if she didn't hurry, she would be caught breaking curfew. But something in her didn't want to leave Kieran alone, not out of any personal feelings, but she felt like he needed a friend right now.

Kieran snapped out of his daze and turned to Kenna. "I'd like that. This place reminds me of home. Same type of architecture." He spotted a nearby bench and sat down, making sure to fold his wings in. 'I can't tell her what I've been through. She would only think less of me. Besides, it would only put her in danger. I never should have stopped her from running.' Looking down, he released a small sigh. What was he supposed to do? There were so many angels and creatures that were after him.
Kenna turned back for a moment and walked over to him and laid a hand on his shoulder."Whatever it is that is bothering you, I hope you can find solace from it."Kenna had never actually made friends in school. It was like they could always sense her dark magic that she so desperately wanted to be rid of. Some even called her half light. It also didn't help that they teased her when her father came running to her aid."The school is sacred ground almost. Just relax here. Ok?"

Kieran wasn't sure what to think when Kenna put her arm on his shoulder. It was the first time that anyone was actually nice to him and he had no idea how to react. All he knew was that there were those that wanted him dead. 'What should I do now? Is there something that I'm supposed to say or do?'"I don't know how."
Michaella was flying about when she saw another angel, a half-breed angel, and one of her students. She overheard the conversation and decided to come down. She realized when she landed the half angel was Kieran. She smiled down at the two."I can teach you how, young one."She looked over to the human child."Kenna, you should return to your room. If anyone asks, show them my feather and they will excuse you."Michaella watched as Kenna ran off.

Kieran was about to get up when he heard another voice. Looking up, he took notice to the white-winged angel and held his arm a little. He couldn't help but be cautious around other angels. After everything he's been through, it was to understand why. It wasn't like he had any family to turn to, like so many others. After all, his own kind rejected him. It was only because he was different from them. When Kenna took off, he started to become a little more uncomfortable. 'Kenna called her headmistress.'"Who are you?"
Michaella looked back to Kieran."Kieran, I am surprised you do not recognize an Archangel's name when you hear it, but I supposed that's because you ran away from the Heavens before you could learn about us."She smiled a gentle smile and laid a hand on his arm."I am Archangel Michaella, sister to the Archangel Michael. I am also the headmistress of the school since it began. I even built the school here."Michaella looked towards some of the buildings and then around to make sure they were alone before returning her gaze to Kieran."I know who you are Kieran. I know what the other low level angels do to you. But fear not. You have the Archangels on your side, just someone ran away before my brothers and sisters could step in. And since a little boy ran away, my brothers and sisters could not step in. Thus the task has fallen to me."Michaella smiled at Kieran again and embraced him."You are here in protection. Anyone who dares to try and hurt you here on my grounds have to get through me."

Kieran couldn't believe what he was hearing. He had known about Archangels, but he never got the chance to learn names. "How could I stay there? I'd probably be dead by now if I had stayed. I was never going to fit in there. Why would I stay in a place where everyone hated me?" He never wanted to leave his home, but he believed that he didn't have a choice. "You're either good or evil. And I have no idea which side I'm on. I can't spend my life cooped up here either."
Michaella placed a hand on her hip and leaned to one side."Who said you had to stay here. But this place will help you fit in."She relaxed her stance and sat down on the bench, folding her wings down tightly."My school, you could say, is a bunch of misfits. But they come here and find themselves. Take the girl that was here, Kenna. I know she hid her Dark magic, but she is a very loving child. The fact she has the Dark magic is what makes her insecure about herself and she feels like she can't be good if she has Dark magic, and will only be ever seen as evil. But she is slowly learning that even good people can use Dark magic. But I know you have good intentions in you Kieran."Michaella patted the seat beside her for him to join her."Raphael contacted me when you left the Heavens. He wanted me to give you a place to live, and I intend to do so. You have a place here, Kieran. But you don't have to stay cooped up here. My protection goes as far as the town, and some of the living areas, but beyond that, I am afraid I can't offer protection. You are free to go where you please, as my students and faculty all have, travel to any world as you want, as my faculty have, and even eat at our tables. I don't want you to feel alone, but I also don't want you to feel like you are being given charity. You are still you."Michaella looked to Kieran."Your being was an accident, but you being here is not. Kieran, you are loved, never forget that."

Kieran took a seat beside Michaella and looked down a little. He never had anyone that actually cared about him. The others only saw what he was and never took the chance to get to know him. 'People will be in danger if they stay around me. No one knows how big the target is on my back.' He listened to everything Michaella said and did his best to smile. Kenna was the first to be nice to him and now even an angel cared. "I don't know what to do."
Michaella smiled and looked up to the night sky."Well for starters, take a nice deep breath and let the pure air fill your lungs. Next, empty your mind. There is nothing you need to fear here. After all, this is a sacred place, and no one would dare try anything on these grounds, or they face my wrath."She leaned back on the bench and relaxed a bit."And lastly, tell me anything you want. You may not have wanted to tell Kenna, but you can tell me anything and I won't think of you anything less."Michaella watched the stars as she wondered if Kieran will begin to trust her. She wanted Kieran to feel at home here, but he couldn't if he can't get over that he is no longer in danger. They may come for him on Campus, but they have to be an idiot to cross an Archangel, especially the Angels of War like her brother and herself.

Kieran did his best to relax, releasing a small sigh. "I don't want to put Kenna in danger. That guy will make her out to be an enemy. If I stay, she will get hurt. I can't have that on my conscious." He looked down and closed his eyes. His best chance was to stay. And the longer he spent with Kenna, put her in even more danger. "She can use dark magic like me."
Hunter watched Michaella and Kieran from the air, making sure to remain completely silent. 'He has got the attention of an Archangel. I would be a fool to try anything in this city. Little Kieran must be outside of this place before I can kill him.' He quietly landed on a pole and continued to watch the two. 'I'm sure that she will want to talk once he's gone.'
Michaella noticed another presence of another Angel, but kept her focus on Kieran."Don't worry about Kenna. She will be fine. As for her magic, yes. She can use Dark magic as well. I sense some other Dark magic in her that has yet to surface, but she really is a good child. She just has the unfortunate gift of dark magic. Kieran, I believe you want to be good, but don't have the trust in yourself to choose."She thought for a moment."Why don't you stay in my cottage while you are here. I have a few spare rooms. You are free to claim one if you like. It's just off the Garden over there. There is a key under the doormat."Michaella watched his movements. His wings showed signs of poor flight."I do some patrols at night. If you want, I can teach you how to fly when all the students have gone to bed so you won't be embarrassed."
