Ah yes, another night of physical feats. Keionx was ready... or she thought she was. Used to solid ground and controllable environments, spinning platforms were disorienting to the heroic teen. Still, it was essential to learn how to fight and move in any situation. Kei had no idea what sort of situation this might be, but it was... a something. And it was important. She stood with care, gauged the distance, waited patiently (timer be damned) and leapt. From one to the other.
It wasn't fast going, though she got faster with each platform, but it was smooth. Smooth as butter. Smooth as a meowbeast. At the end, she took a moment to stretch - she had a feeling that she would need limberness more than strength in this booth...
Curtain Slider 9+1 = 10 PASS
When Keionx saw the next challenge, she made up for any lost time - she raced at it, leaping onto the curtain and sailing it straight to the goal. Speed was not her strong suit, but this time brute force charging paid off for her. She could feel everything in her body working in harmony, muscles contracting and relaxing, blood rushing through her, her energy given outlet. It was one of her favorite, private feelings.
Wall Lift 4 + 6 = 10
Keionx felt that this was her time to shine, or it should be. The walls themselves were not hard for a troll of her condition to lift. However, passing under them quickly was a whole other story. Keionx erred on the side of caution - better slightly slow than failure. She made a mental note to increase her speed training later - it might prove useful someday to be fast AND strong AND agile, would it not?
Spider Climb 4 + 6= 10 PASS
Keionx warmed up before attempting the climb - not because she needed to warm up per sey, she just didn't want a muscle lock at all. That would be awkward.
Brought up in Busthind and raised to do physical activity on a daily basis, she was familiar with rock climbing. This artificial crevice wasn't so difficult. Making it to the top, Keionx looked out over what she could see of the booths and their colorful lights. It wasn't a bad view.
Pipe Slider 6+5 = 11 PASS
This one was tricky for Keionx to figure out. So, she had to move the pipe to the end, just with her body? It looked difficult - it looked strange. It looked perfect for a workout - she'd have to take some of these ideas back to the swamp to improve the training grounds. Definitely.
She grabbed the pipe and began to swing, building momentum forward. The pipe moved - not very quietly, but moved none the less as she... well, bucked it forwad. There was no other word to describe how she moved it.

Until finally, muscles burning and dripping sweat from the exertion, Keionx reached the end. "Ahh!" she exclaimed, looking back at what she had accomplished, pleased. However, she was ready for a break. A dip in the ocean would do just fine.

Sonnie was determined to win this time around. His friends would be counting on him to do a good job. From failing last time, he made himself the underdog. Now he just had to find the strength to push through the later rounds.
He passed the first two trials with relative ease, hopping and sliding with extreme precision. He was light and a good jumper, so he expected these tasks to be easier. The wall lift, however, was a big stopping block for the weaker troll. It took all of his strength to lift the blocks, and even then he had to roll under quickly to avoid getting stuck.
The spider climb was easier than it looked! The sticky webbing of his costume came in handy, actually letting him stick to the sides a bit more conveniently than others. By the time he got to the final trial, he was dead tired.
Not ready to give up, Sonnie kept up his upper body strength and pushed through to the end of the challenge, squeaking with joy. Eagerly, he accepted his bundle of ninja nuts, storing them away for future important purchases.
Amonee was determined to get himself one of those shiny sparkly ninja headbands that were on display. In order to do that, he needed to become one of the greatest ninja squirrels on Alternia it sounded like. Pulling his hair back into pigtails, he rubbed his hands together before launching into the obstacles for today.
"Busthind represent!" The jadeblood chanted to pump himself up as he passed through the early events. However, the Spider Climb took him down and he could not recover enough confidence to pass the Pipe Slider either. Crashing down into the pit of acorns again, he rested in them for a moment before sulking off back to his booths.
Azrael muttered something about idiocy at himself as he readied for the events. he didn't mean to skip out on the night before, but an emergency lead him away. His own emergency. Lighting himself on fire and then other things of importance kept him away, but this time he was going to do it! or as best he could.
"I can't wait, omigoshhhhh-" Amonee hopped around the goo beast station as he checked the latest progress on his little feller. Bringing to life a personalized pet sounded so exciting! He would have to figure out what they were supposed to do with them later. Was it part of a Bloodfest event?
The jadeblood gave his blobby friend a peck on the head before sauntering off.
Etsali's first passes through the obstacle course had gone well enough. No bridge of blades or curtain slider could stop her! The wall lift though...She was beginning to get the idea that she needed to work more on her upper body strength. There was only so far her speed could take her!
Before she left, Etsali made sure to check out the little goobeast again. It probably wanted more material to eat, didn't it? What to feed it this time? She considered all the samples offered a moment, and then dropped a bit of moss onto her goobeast.

Nucleo didn't like the bridge of blades. Struggling to simply stay on, his arms flailed wildly as he hop scotched around in panic. Barely making it across, the greenblood let out a sigh of relief and tried to forget about his performance, reminding himself to stay calm. It was okay, he could do this. While the greenblood wasn't confident Amonee could, he intended to try out the course and then cheer on his friend anyway. If anything really bad happened, he'd be there and could dive in after him to save him.
Nucleo cleared the acorn pool carpet thing easily enough and continued on, starting to feel pumped up! The walls were nothing compared to the mountains he climbed back home! Scaling them quickly, the greenblood was met with the spider climb next and swallowed nervously. This took a bit more effort from him but he made it through and froze at the pipe awaiting him at the end. Looking the two bars that acting as the track, Nucleo winced and wondered how the heck he was gonna do this. Biting his lip, he wondered if he could maybe just... ? No that was insane, it would never work. But he really didn't know what else to do...
"HRAHHH!" The greenblood leaped at the bar with as much momentum as he could muster and rolled the bar across with the will and force of as many Nucleos as he could muster. It was glorious. Sailing through, when the pole hit the end of the track Nucleo kept going. Flying past the final mark, he completed the course and soared.
"I wonder what this'll turn out like." Nucleo chuckled as he added a bit of quackbeast to his creation. He didn't really know how all of these samples were going to combine but couldn't wait to see how they turned out! He'd found himself just picking whatever sample sounded funny that day. Perhaps she should take the next opportunity more seriously...

The next night of ANS was, really, the thing that Kaldru was looking forward to the most. He'd not been top contender, so far, but he'd really enjoyed the obstacles; unfortunately, we he gazed upon the course that night, he felt his pumpbiscuit sink. That damn curtain course! He just wasn't coordinated enough for it, and he'd only barely managed to hang on for it the night before.
He still launched himself into it, of course, but when he felt his fingers slipping from the curtains, he couldn't help but think of course. He felt ashamed, especially after the victory shouts and posturing he'd thrown towards Zeylla when he'd seen her (thankfully after her end-course failure) before!
Sonnie was ready today! He felt like he could take on the world in his little frog costume. Waiting for the buzzer to sound, Sonnie made a mad dash through the course, starting a bit slow but zipping through the middle. Try as he could, he couldn't keep his arms from giving out on that tough Salmon Ladder. But he'd be back to try again tomorrow!
