Invira could smell the sweat coming from this booth, and she would be lying if she said it wasn't one of her favourite smells ever. The first activity that caught her eye was the watermelon smashing.

She wasn't a huge fan of standing in the water, but she picked up the bat and gave it a go anyways.

If there was something she loved more than the smell of perspiration, it was sweating herself. This sure was a fun way to get her blood pumping. Although she was pretty disappointed she didn't destroy every single melon, she told herself that if it wasn't for the water, she would have.

Next, Invira made her way to the obstacle course. The obstacles were very different than her usual climbs up the mountain, but she didn't want to say no to a challenge during her first Bloodfest. She was filled with determination.

She went way too fast on the first of the quad steps, but her foot, still wet from the watermelon smashing, sent her slipping face first into the second one. Water was never her friend, and never will be. Invira grimaced and promised herself that she will get farther next time. She'd better, anyhow, her face did not want to be pancaked again.

Buffel prepped himself for the onslaught that would be the Sirens booth. He looked at the booth's carefully.

Flydra first?...No, not yet. Not ready for that. Lorata? Nah, don't really know her. Austri- DEFINITELY NOT...so...Scorpa, I guess.

Upon attempting her booth, it became clear he'd fouled up this decision. He tried not to get his back up on it, but he couldn't shake the feeling from her tittering on high that she was gleefully tossin' 'em right at him specifically! He managed to dodge 'em right quick, but he'd only landed a hit on a sparse few.

Buffel was now suitably trounced and dazed and found himself meandering awkwardly to the next booth. Lorata was standing in front of a line-up. He stood next to them and watched as they complied with her instructions. It took him a good long while to realize that A). He had fallen in line with them and was assumed to be participating, and B). That that assumption had been held for many steps before he realized it. Snapping to, he completed the remaining instructions with ease. Lorata seemed forgiving enough in this regard.

Man, what's a nice gal like Lorata doin' with those miscreants?

Buffel finally worked up the nerve to stomp over to Flydra's booth. It looked like she had some sort of ice water challenge. He readied himself in the spot everyone else had stood.
This shouldn't be so bad! Hopefully I don't freak out too much, bein' used to the heat o' the desert and such. I'm sure it w-

When he came to, he was on the table behind Flydra's booth, resting in the sun. There was a fresh bandage on his head and another around his arm, along with a patch from what he reasoned was another blood sample.

”IS THIS ON ACCOUNT O' ME CANCELLING OUR LAST APPOINTMENT?! Y' COULD JUST ASK NEXT TIME!!”
The yellowblood got up and woozily left the booth area. Was that even water he'd been doused with?
”AND I'M KEEPIN' THIS TOWEL!!”

Something called Bikini Bootcamp can't really caught Dei's attention the first day- but after already exploring most of the booths he decided to try out some of the ones he'd missed the day before. Honestly, this was a total jackpot! He could practice hitting things with the watermelon activity.

Unfortunately it seemed that all that practice time without Perore hadn't really done much. He struggled to hit most of them and ended up having to move out of the way most of the time. The chiding from the yellowblood attendant just earned a slight scowl. He'd do better later. After a decent day's sleep.

The watermelons were faster this time, or at least it certainly felt that way. Eostre had to dodge them to avoid being hit and taking a spill, and the few she did manage to smash weren't as good as before. She grit her teeth and offered Scorpa a pleasant smile, saying she was just testing her reflexes. After all, she did just fine at this game beforehand, and everyone was aware of her smashing prowess.

Well, there were more things to do. Deimos wandered over to the "Lorata Says" part of the booth and listened while she explained how the activity worked. Something about this made him uncomfortable... blind obedience? Still, he did his best to follow along with what she was saying, but kept messing up. By the end of it he was totally soaked. Good thing he'd worn his swim wear to the event... With a sigh he wandered off to see what the next activity was.

The next activity looked like it'd be another doozy. But he'd do it, especially since the greenblood attendant seemed to think that he couldn't. Well, he'd just show her now wouldn't he.

Okay. Perhaps he'd bitten off more than he could chew. Upon actually inspecting the quads it seemed that they were rather... big, for someone of small stature like himself. He managed to jump to the first one, but totally flubbed the second one and hit it face-first. Oh, how embarrassing. The laughter certainly didn't help. Ugh.

At least the next section was easy enough- he did this sort of thing around his hive all the time! Easy-peasy, just had to keep up momentum and not let go. He was rather pleased with himself once he finished, even the attendant didn't have anything snide to say about it.

Perhaps he was feeling a little too good about himself. Jumping off the platform onto the ball was easy enough, but balancing was an entirely different story. He wobbled around, trying not to fall over before he could get his other leg down but-- a gust of wind knocked him right off. Frustrated, he groaned aloud and pushed himself up from the pool of water. Of course she was laughing.

At this point he wasn't even sure he wanted to go to the next activity.

An obstacle course was more her style. Eostre even made it to the bouncing balls before she slipped at the last minute, slamming into the ball and falling down into the water below. So close!

The last booth seemed kinda interesting, so he made his way over anyway. He wasn't sure what he was expecting, but swim trunks full of ice cubes was not it. Despite his best efforts he ended up hopping around for a few seconds trying to jostle them free, teeth chattering from the sudden cold. At least he got a nice towel out of it? He wrapped himself up like a walking troll-sized burrito and opted to go find something else to do. Something less cold.

This summery booth caught Wallas's attention; he was used to heat as a Chittentown resident, but opportunities to cool down were always welcome. He went to this first section of the booth in particular because the yellowblood seemed like the safest bet to approach... until he got close, anyway. She was tall and intimidating, and seemed to have the bearing of a highblood. When he was noticed, he felt like he had no choice but to participate in the watermelon chaos.

When it came down to it, he didn't do TOO bad, but not too great either. That suited him just fine. Not standing out meant no unwanted attention. While he wished that he had hit a few more melons, he was content with the results overall.
