The trainer cursed quietly under his breath as Mephisto's attack failed to faze the opponent. That'd be just his luck, after all. Poor Mephisto was visibly disheartened by the failed assault, and it took quite a bit of willpower to keep himself from running into that field himself and kicking that stupid root in what passed for its chest. He sighed quietly as the disembodied voice gave it's orders, his mind beginning to work over the situation.
While he couldn't know the Bellsprout's move pool for sure, he knew it couldn't be too bad. Tickle was a pain, lowering Mephisto's already low attack and defense if it landed. But he suspected the Bellsprout's main attack would be grass type, putting it at a disadvantage against the half-poison Gastly. Still, the Tickle was meant to at least try to compensate for that, and since his first attack had failed it was basically a free move.
He knew there wasn't enough time to get Mephisto's attention and warn him of the incoming attack- the two Pokemon were far too close already. He simply had to hope his little ghost could get himself out of trouble.
(Got it so far, I'm pretty sure. I'm just hoping your luck gives before mine, buuuut we'll see.))

"... you sure do like to hear yourself talk, huh, little buddy?" Daydream couldn't help giggling at the youth's antics."Well, it's nice to met you, Mister... Soldrake Koellene Quinpek!"Well, he'd never promised to actually remember a person's name, no matter how dramatic. "Well, I'm not sure I'm buying what you're selling just yet... is it glitter? I hope it's glitter." He paused for a second, momentarily entranced by the image of the Battle Room coated in glitter."Anyhoo, let's test the warranty! Tango, get moving." Observing the Roselia, it would be hard to tell if the Pokemon actually felt any urgency in this battle. Instead of properly getting out of the way, he twirled in a fashion that would make a Spinda jealous. Like a little whirling dervish, he spun and spun and spun... would the Golett be able to land a hit?

"Sounds like someooooooone's eager for violence!" Daydream cheered, clearly pleased at Altair's willingness to take charge. "Let's not mince words, then! A competition of stealing souls, eh? Bonedog, show them what you got!"
/Gotcha, boss!!/ the Duskull remarked, shaking out her ghostly cape. With as much enthusiastic as her opponent, she rushed towards the Cutiefly, aiming to use Thief!
((I do wish you you had let me roll first, as I have yet to explain the aim modifier to you. That being said, it's straightforward. Your character starts as a Rank 1 trainer, which gives them an aim modifier of 5. That 5 is added to your attack accuracy roll. Given you're likely to outroll me, that means damage will be calculated thusly-- ((18+5) - My Defense roll) + (7-8 ) AM is only applied to your attack rolls, it does not affect your defense. Daydream, not being a proper trainer, so not have an aim modifier, so when calculating damage done to you, you don't need to add anything to his rolls. Did I explain that clearly?))

+2 to Bael's Sp. Attack! Bael's Sp. Attack is now 10! +1 to the accuracy of Bael's attack rolls! In his haste, the Zorua completely missed the Houndour, overshooting by a good couple feet and leaving the Dark Pokemon free to plot and plan. Daydream, for his part, was totally unfazed by the failed attack, opting instead to cackle. "You don't cast magic missile into the darkness, silly Fluffers! You don't even KNOW magic missile!"
/SHUT UP!/ wailed the little furball.
The ghostly presence finally recovered from his laughing fit. "Mwhehehe... okay, let's see if you can recover. See if you can aaaaaactually Scratch him this time, little buddy!"
Fluffers shot a glare towards Bael, fur fluffed up with rage and indignation. With a hiss, he lurched forward once more, this time aiming for the eyes.

Eins perked up at the cheerful voice, fake ears wiggling in excitement. /New friend?/ she squeaked, stretching her shadowy appendages out from underneath her rags into the darkness. This new guy sounded pretty happy and cheerful! He'd probably be a good influence on Nimrose.
Nim, for her part, was genuinely considering bolting at Nightmare's first comment. She couldn't tell where the person talking to her was, or even if where he was standing, but the urge to knee him and run (installed by her sensible sponsor) grew with every word. Anyone who waxed rhapsodic over bruises needed a giant "stranger danger" warning. But she held her ground. Her sponsor warned her that Akumu's faculty possessed bizarre quirks, so she needed to get used to it. Besides, Nightmare's behavior resembled that of the Elder's prattling on about "maiden sacrifice", so she at least had a frame of reference.
Admittedly, her turned turned at the sight of a Pikachu. Of all the awful creatures... Well, fine. She dug her nails into the palms of her hand , gritting her teeth. This was just another part of the test. "Crush it."
And for once, Eins was in total agreement with her trainer. While the scribbled-on upper eyes remained unblinking and unseeing, the little "dots" on the creature's chest lit up with a furious glow as the Mimikyu took in her opponent. /... not a friend,/ she asserted firmly, glaring daggers right at the Pikachu. The rags that covered her dark form shifted and writhed, wrapping around her makeshift tail to ruined the illusion. The shadows soared high, lifting the stick with it. And with a snarl, she dropped the Wood Hammer, aiming right at Wonder's smug little face.

Sol would watch and listen to the words of the disembodied voice with surprising patience for one of his years. When he did speak though it would be a grin on his face, pounding his fist into the palm of the opposite hand "I'm sorry but we do not at this time offer a money back guarantee, return policy, or warranty. In the event you are not satisfied with your purchase, please find someone who cares or pay me to pretend to"The tone the child used was so polite you'd almost forget how rude his actual words were. Clearly this kid knew customer service!
"Alright Umbra, time to drop the hammer! Use Astonish!" Again the boy would flourish as he gave the command, his scarf shifting with the movement and catch the light.
Skidding to a halt after building up so much momentum, the lumbering golem would pivot on one foot....and nearly stumble in the process. He wasn't exactly build for agility after all.
Training his gaze upon his floral opponent, the Pokemon's eyes shone brightly for a moment. This was his first real fight in....centuries. Not see...then. Briefly the image of stone walls covered in vines and moss filled his mind. No now wasn't the time for that.
Running toward his opponent as fast as his lumbering body would allow, the Ghost-Type began swinging his fist round in circles. ">HAMMER DOWN!<" He cried as he swung the arm towards the plant....and stopped just short as he attempted to stop on it's feet. Astonish was all about surprising your opponent. How exactly you did that though was more than a little fluid!
[Tickle Successful! -1 to both Mephisto's ATK & DEF!]
It would seem that despite the fact that the ghost had no body, he was actually quite ticklish. With an ease thanks to it's light flickering movements, the Bellsprout would manage to tickle the Gastly all over. Such was the difference in their ability one would think the ghost would wet it's pants!....if it had pants....or the ability to wet them....
The voice however was no particularly amused."Shameful..." It muttered. Not only was the Gastly failing to do particularly well, it was being tickled. A ghost! TICKLED. Oh he could just roll over in his grave.
Done with it's light handled assault, the Bellsprout would begin to wobble away on unsteady roots. Seemed it was tryingto put some distance and itself and the Gastly before it's next attack!
[Next on the table is that I will note that all Status Effects are explained in the Information Center. You can also go there to learn the mechanics of different moves in the guild, as well as various items and abilities once they become available.]
[Rigght after that we shall bring up an oh so important topic...Items.]
[Note that during battle you can only use an Item on your Attack Turn. Furthermore if you use an Item you use up your turn. So if you use a Potion to keep Ordo from Fainting, he can't also use Tackle. Its one or the other.]
[Restrictions on items are fairly standard. You can't use a TM mid battle, nor can you equip a held item. Healing items work as normal.]
[On to what you REALLY care about. PokeBalls.]
[When throwing a PokeBall you must roll 1D20. This is called a Capture Roll. To successfully capture a Pokemon your Capture Roll must be higher than their Capture Rate. To learn the Capture Rate simply ask the mod in charge of the battle. The Capture Rate will go down as the Pokemon's HP gets lower.]
[If you fail to capture a Pokemon you still lose the ball you threw. You cannot capture a fainted Pokemon. Any questions?]
The girl that walked into the arena was dressed in a traditional garb as the pokemon beside her rushed to keep up with her graceful steps. The girl's eyes were shimmering quite brightly. This was her time to shine, a girl of excellent breeding and a blood line that couldn't be more pure.
She would smile happily.
She was a princess afterall, and though her people had gotten lost in this mess of a world and her throne existed only in her heart ...she would hold her head in high. No one here was worthy of even touching her feet, and she would make sure everyone knew that.
This was her chance for her people to rise again.
"I am ready."
She would declare to the empty room. Her Snubbull would come to her side as she stop and the pokemon would flick backwards the ears that hung from from it's head as it gave a display that looked completely feminine before showing off her fangs.
A coward in heart, that is how they classified her breed, but those were the ones born in the wild. She was a creature with a pedigree almost as pure as her owner ...and she cared nothing about burning and chewing up the throats of her opponents.
((Gotta tell you LunLun, whatever that big image is, it's not loading.))
(14 - 2) + 5 + (7 - 7) = 7 DMG
Chrono HP: 8/15
[CHRONO HAS BEEN POISONED!]
My this battle was not off to a grand start the the little bird was it? Forget giving Polly a cracker, by the end of this they'd be serving it on a cracker! "And that is why the dart....after all, what's more fun than killing you than killing you twice!? GWAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!"
The damage done the Gligar would retreat. Disappearing into the shadows, it would reappear a mere moment later...airborne. With it's opponent badly damaged it had taken wing. Would that play to it's advantage however was anyone's guess.

"FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!!!" The voice cried before breaking into a fit of hysterical cackling. No it didn't matter if it was the Pokemon he commanded taking a beating; he saw violence and he liked it!
Wonder was understandably less enthused by what had just happened. Struck by a club and now sailing through the air, she'd make a sound like a squeaky toy when she hit the opposite wall. Thing was not off to a great start for everyone's favourite electric mouse! Well maybe not everyone's apparently.
"Ah off to a glorious start! I like you...you break things AND yourself! Two for the price of one! GWAHAHAHAHAAHAH!" The voice cackled. He always did love a good deal! Once he shook himself from his revelry, the voice would give it's next command "I don't want this to end too soon, so be a dear and use ENDURE!"
Scrapping herself off the floor, Wonder would hunker down and curl into a tight ball. She'd endured years of diet exercise! She hadn't seen a potato chip in almost twenty years! If she could endure that she could endure anything!
(I will have to try a few more things then ....I am trying a new place to post pictures since ...my original place is acting really slow and glitchy)
The downward dive was quick, too quick for the bird to avoid the attacks as it hit against his side and chest, with one especially nasty one embedding itself deep in his neck ...as he hits the ground a few feet from his target. He had failed miserably, but, it wasn't his fault.
Getting up clumsily.
He would look back at his trainer as the girl heard the words as she started looking at the dart she had pulled loose.
"A formula to prevent a pokemon's death once, is it like a liquid formula of the move endure, or does the pokemon die and actually come back as it was?"
She would ask the voice ...as the Murkrow knew without having to look backwards that he had been abandon in this fight. Or at least, that was his thought as she twirls the dart in her fingers.
"Interesting ...Interesting, Chrono ...you don't look so good. We will have to work on your eye and flight coordination, you have some of those things stuck in you ..not nice and you look so ill."
"Why not share the infliction?"
"Use, Psycho Shift."
Chrono would almost smile at command.
"Also, wrong pokemon, Raven or Crow is closer to what he is ...then a parrot."
Vincent and Ralts entered into the infamous Battle Room. He had just received his new partner, Ralts. He took a deep breathe in and prepared himself for whatever was coming. This was the start of his journey and his ultimate goal was the advancement of Team Rocket. He glanced down at the gorgeous Ralts next to him, "I can't tell you how happy I am to have you as my partner. Wouldn't want any other Pokemon!" He grinned down at the Ralts. They awaited in the upcoming silence for what was to occur.
Mephisto couldn't help but laugh as the leaf-hands of the Bellsprout tickled him quite thoroughly. His trainer was tempted to make some snide remark at the voice's comment, but he was in such a foul mood thanks to his poor luck that his wit failed him. That only further provoked his ire, and he clenched his fists. "That's it. Mephisto, we're shutting this voice and his pet potted plant DOWN. Astonish, again, and please actually hit this time."
The Gastly nodded after it ended it's laughing fit, which was really more of a roll forward and then back, as it was a gas orb. But when the order came, this time it didn't hesitate- it swung wide, getting behind the Bellsprout, and tapping it on what would have been it's shoulder before expelling another gaseous blast. He was hoping it would hit, and also that the thing might even flinch. But he didn't have a lot of hope. His luck was absolutely garbage.
"Howdy there, little buddies!" The regal lass and her pup were greeted by a cheerfully casual voice emanating from the depths of the void. It didn't exactly fit the rough surroundings, but then, neither did she. "It's a pleasure to meet you two! My name's Daydream, and I'm here to guide you through the Akumu Academy introductory test!" He gave a laugh, voice ringing like a playful bell. "Don't worry, it's not too hard!... sometimes. Sometimes Pokemon die horribly, but that's okay!"
A vial of thick silver liquid suddenly appeared right before the young lady. "And that's because of this drink! Go ahead and have your friend there drink this potion, and we'll get to the battle, okay?" Dayddream's eager voice had an insistent edge. "If you don't drink it, we can't fight, and then you get thrown out, and i'll never see you again! Wouldn't that be awful?"
As Daydream rambled, something else appeared from the shadows... a Pokemon this time. The Woobat hovered in mid-air, and attempted to wink at the Snubbull... given he only had one eye, it wasn't very effective.
